A Trip to the Linen Department
"Silk!?! Noooo!"
"Luce, come on, soft, shiny. We can even get your favorite color."
"John! The bedroom is blue, my favorite color is purple! And besides, I hated the silk sheets at your apartment." Lucy ripped the packed silk sheets from Carter's hand and placed them back on the shelf. Ignoring the loud huff from behind her, Lucy went on to survey their options further.
"I'd rather be in the ER filled with victims of a bus accident with limbs missing then be here." His shinning seemed to go unnoticed for a moment as Lucy held a paint sample up to some sheets.
Stepping back with dissatisfaction Lucy turned and looked at him pointedly. "Fine, you but your silk sheets and maybe one of your dismembered patients will have sex with you on them."
Carter cleared his throat and coughed as a smirking employee walked by. Lucy though didn't seem effected by their lack of privacy and just smiled sweetly up at him. As she walked away Carter called after her. "I was joking you know."
"What, scared you aren't going to get any now?" Lucy called over her shoulder. All she could do was smirk as she avoided looking at him and instead kneeled down to look at a comforter.
"No!" Carter winced and looked around to make sure no one heard his outburst. Once satisfied that their were no heads turned in his direction he repeated himself. "No, of course not."
Lucy stood up after deciding against the comforter. Once face to face with him she responded. "Come on John. First of all your a male, second your a male in his late twenties who gets it quite regularly, third your a male in his late twenties who gets it quite regularly at a variety of locations and in different positions."
Cater looked down at her intently. "Pick out whatever bedroom set you want, I want to go home." For emphasis he lowered his head and whispered, "Now."
"Well, I kind of wanted to see about some things for the bathroom." It was a flat out lie, Lucy would kill herself if she had to consider anymore colors or patterns. The irritable look on his face was priceless though, as was his response.
"Not today, because your right, and according to my watch its been," Carter held up his wrist and calculated the time, "five hours."
"Ohhhhh." Lucy nodded and continued, "I didn't know I had a schedule of when I was supposed to satisfy you." Turning away Lucy continued on down the aisle.
Reaching out quickly Carter grabbed Lucy and pulled her against him. "was that complaining you were doing this morning?" Carter whispered into her ear as his arm that was currently wrapped around her waste pressed her closer to him. "Because if it was it must have been bad considering you were being so vocal."
Feeling him pressed against her backside sent a rush to her core and she responded softly. "Maybe we should give up today and shop somewhere else tomorrow."
"Good idea." Carter whispered. After releasing Lucy, Carter grabbed her hand and yanked her down the aisle and towards the escalator.
