Lucy sat there crying, she couldn't believe this, life was so unfair!
She looked at the clock and quickly dried her eyes.
She grabbed the car keys off the table and went to pick up Isabella from Liz and Marks.
She arrived there quite quickly and Elizabeth invited her in for coffee.
They were just sitting chatting about the girls when Elizabeth asked
"So how are things going on the baby front?"
Lucy burst into tears for the second time that day.
"I'm sorry" Lucy apologised
Elizabeth went over to her
"Lucy sweetie, what's the matter?" Elizabeth asked
Lucy dried her tears
"Well, you know how John and I have been trying for another baby for about a year now? Well, nothings been happening, so Abby suggested going for a test, which I did. I got the results in today. It says I'm infertile" Lucy said
"Oh Lucy, honey, I am so sorry" Elizabeth said hugging her
The Carter House
Lucy walks in with Isabella to find Carter there with her test results in his hands
"Bella, pumpkin, can you go play in your room while mommy and daddy talk?" Carter asks
"Sure Daddy" Bella says and runs to her room
"Come here honey" Carter says opening his arms to hug her
She goes over to him and he wraps his arms around her. She starts crying again
"Hey baby, shhhh" Carter says stroking her hair
"I'm so sorry" Lucy says
"What for? Sweetheart, this isn't your fault and I don't want you blaming yourself, ok?"
"I can't help it"
"It'll be fine, it'll all be fine"
