What is Mixing?

I'm sure you are wondering what the heck I meant by mixing. It's a word I use to describe a name combination.

Mixing is the word I use to describe the mixture of Japanese and English names. Some people prefer only to refer to the characters by their Japanese names while others only know their English names. Then there are people like ME! People like me are those people who like certain English names and certain Japanese names and prefer to mix and match.

An Example:

Say I was writing a fanfic about Sakura's brother. But, say I don't like his Japanese name, which is Touya Kinomoto. I can refer to him as Tori Avalon. But, then what of his best friend? Well, what if I don't like his English name, Julian....I can call him Yukito, his Japanese name. That is mixing.

Note: In the Japanese version, most last names came before first names. Take Li for example. The Japanese name Li Syaoran is actually Syaoran Li. Syaoran is his first name. The American version changes his name so that Li was his first name and Showron was his last.

Also, be careful naming the town. The Japanese version named the town Tomeoda. The American version named the town Reedington.
