History: Dr. Anil Sleevemore is a Hindu-American physicist and inventor best known for his revolutionary and often controversial research in psychic phenomenon, particularly in psychokinesis, telepathy and clairvoyance. Although his work is considered fringe science not accepted by many of his peers, he has been more successful in confirming many of his theories in the field over many of his colleagues, and due to his personal creations, he is not dependant on donations from investors to do his work, instead making money from his numerous patents.

Born in India in 1952, Sleevemore emigrated to the United States in 1960 and grew up in San Francisco, California. Discovering he had psychic abilities as a child, he was very open with his powers as a young man until teenage angst and prejudice forced him to keep them secret. His ability also allowed him to perceive the true natures of others, and he grew up to be amiable and inviting, openly becoming friends with everyone he met. He was also something of a prodigy. He excelled in math and science, especially physics, medicine and biology, and attended UCLA where he graduated with honors. He married his wife, Ratri, in 1975, having seven children together.

Continuing his research, Dr. Sleevemore was a founding member of the San Francisco Psychic Research Center through which he tested the potential psychic abilities of hundreds of test subjects. However, after his university funding fell through, he converted the research center into the Sleevemore Center for Psychic Research and expanded his research to testing far more people for potential psychic skills. Many of the prodigies he found became students and fellow researchers at his facility. Through his studies, he met and became the mentor of several young teens with psychic abilities such as Carly Nagastino, who was a telepath, and Marvin Featherstone, a pyrokinetic, among others. However, among his students, he became particularly close to Raven Baxter, a Bayside High School student with intermittent psychic vision. During a test of her abilities, Raven predicted an accident that would have been fatal and told Sleevemore to move three steps. Doing so saved Sleevemore from a falling piece of equipment that would have been fatal. Ever since, Dr. Sleevemore has loved her like a daughter. He invited her to join his center, but Raven chose to stay close to her high school friends. Despite her choice, Dr. Sleevemore has always made time available for her.

During their friendship, Dr. Sleevemore has sometimes predicted when Raven has needed him and appeared at her home to help her, such as when he revealed her visions were affected by a shampoo created from hallucinogenic mushrooms.

In recent years, Sleevemore has become an expert in psychic research and a colleague among paranormal researchers. While a consulting professor in Chicago, he was reunited with Raven at the Chicago Institute of Psychic Research. Since he had seen her, Raven had married and had two children named Booker and Nia. When Booker inherited Raven's prophetic visions, she returned to Dr. Sleevemore to help him get her son's ability under control. Sleevemore also briefly activated Nia's own dormant psychic ability while testing her potential, but her ability soon faded once more while Booker's stabilized to some extent.

To date, Dr. Sleevemore is possibly one of the top experts in psychic research; however, due to the controversial nature of his research, he is still considered a fringe scientist among many of his peers. Among his work, he continues to mentor and tutor students with psychic gifts, often acting as a guidance counselor for mentally-unstable youths. He has donated thousands of dollars to Youth Outreach Programs and endorsed stronger education in the education system.

Powers/Abilities: Dr. Anil Sleevemore possesses latent psychic powers such as precognition, allowing him to perceive probable events from the conceivable future, and telekinesis, the ability to move objects with his mind. He can get visions of possible future events from his immediate future, but not the futures of others, such as when he predicted Raven would be needing his help, but there does seem to be a limit to how far into the future he can see these events, possibly no more than a few hours. However, this ability is acute enough that it has helped him in his mechanical aptitude, enabling him to deduce and realize scientific results in his inventing progress much faster, allowing him to create his psychic devices much faster with less failures. Because his mind works at such an accelerated rate, he can discern between numerous possible futures much faster, and predict the future with much more accurate results. However, since the scope of his prophetic visions are so limited, he can only discern events from his immediate personal future and how it passes through the lives of others.

Dr, Sleevemore is also psychokinetic and can move physical objects through the air with his mind. The full extent of this ability are unknown. So far, he has only used it on a telekinetic level, moving whole physical objects like tools and pencils which he catches. He directs the path of these objects with his hands to control their flight patterns, but it is unknown if he can affect probability and cause events the laws of probability in his line of vision. It is unknown if he can move multiple objects at once and cause poltergeist-like results, but it is known he can levitate and move physical objects, but it is unknown if there is limit to how much mass and weight he can manipulate.

Dr. Sleevemore is an expert with several degrees and doctorates in physics, medicine and biology among other fields. He has exceptional mental acuity and can recall minor to cursory memories and above-normal intuitive reasoning skills. His inventive prowess has allowed him to develop extraordinary inventions from existing technology as well as develop completely new devices for studying memories and memory recall. Among his creations are energy-saving devices that enable him to power much more powerful devices that the San Francisco power grid could ordinarily supply, computer banks for storing much more volumes of data from before, light fixtures that use up less electricity as well as strides in artificial intelligence assistants. However, his most popular invention is the Sleevemore Cerebral Oscillator, a device created to scan and identify the mental pathways that generate psychic ability, allowing him to measure and identify an individual's psychic potential or diagnose limits to one's psychic skills. He has also adapted the device to be able to scan and produce memories as video images from the subject's point of view freed from opinion or personal slant. However, the limits of the device seem to be limited to just the memory itself and not the subconscious perceptions or influences from it. For example, the device could replay a subject's memories but not be able to identify the ingredients which cause conditions such as phobias and post-traumatic stress disorder. He also has a smaller mobile version of the device he can take on location for field research.

Sleevemore also has a huge collection of devices and inventions involving the mind and paranormal research from rival scientists and colleagues. His collection includes many of the mind control devices of Dr. Boris Balinkoff as well as the original Reversor used by Dr. Lionel Barrett at the Belasco House.
