"That's me as a vampire?" Willow cried in disgusted disbelief, then shuddered. "I'm so evil, and skanky...and I think I'm kinda gay." Her eyes widened with worry.
"Willow," Buffy began reassuringly, "just remember, a vampire's personality has nothing to do with the person it was."
"Well, actually," Angel began, ignoring Buffy's warning look. "That's not really the way it works. That vampire...it's a demon, but it's Willow, too. Her memories. Her personality." Willow shook her head, backing away, and Buffy glared at her boyfriend.
"Stop it, Angel."
"Yeah, come on," Xander piped up, gesturing towards the cage. "Look at them, they couldn't be more different. That demon is nothing like our Will."
"No, no, he's right. I'm a horrible evil slut," Willow moaned. "Oh my God, it's true! I mean, look...at what happened with you and with Oz! I'm a tramp. I'm a hussy! An evil hussy!"
"Angel, tell her she's not evil!" Buffy cried.
"You're not evil, Willow. You're just gay." At the shocked stares of the group Angel blinked. "What? Don't tell me I'm the only one who got that."
Willow blinked and slowly nodded.
"You're right! It explains so much! I think that's why I never minded going to watch cheerleader practice with you and Jesse, Xander-"
"Wha?" Xander said, his jaw dropping.
"-and why I keep getting that tingly feeling watching Faith and Buffy train-"
"Wha?" the Slayer's expression now matched Xander's. Giles began polishing his glasses with a heretofore unknown ferocity.
"-and why I've been saving those pictures of Cordelia that I secretly took in the locker room that I've been pretending have been for blackmail because, hello unflattering fluorescent lighting but still, yum-"
"I-I do think that's quite enough," Giles interrupted, a crunching sound signifying that he had clutched his glasses too tightly.
"Ooops, sorry. Can I just say one more thing?" Willow asked shyly, half raising her hand.
"Yes, Willow," Giles replied wearily. "What is it."
"I'm gay, Giles. Gay gay gay gay gay."
"Yes, Willow," the Watcher said. There was a pregnant pause. "Is that all?"
"Oh. Yeah. I'm good," Willow said.
"Excellent, now perhaps we can get back to the vam-"
"Good and gay."
Jumping into the air, Buffy smacked Angel on the back of the head.
"You couldn't have just agreed with me?!?"
