Victor Kiriakis & Kate Roberts Wedding No. 1. (A matter of convenience) Victor wanted access to The Spectator and Jack Deveraux had a partner in Kate Roberts. By marrying Kate Victor got some sort of control over the newspaper which really upset Jack. The wedding, although convenient turned into a matter of romance and Victor and Kate eventually fell in love.
Wedding No. 2. Where do we start? It turns out that Kate was not married to Victor as she was still legally married to Curtis Reed. Finally agreeing to another wedding they had one problem, Vivian Alamain who wanted Victor for herself. Vivian was able to convince Victor to have a "dress rehearsal", however it turned it wasn't a dress rehearsal and Vivian actually married Victor who was furious when he learned the truth. Kate and Victor planned on marrying after his "annulment" from Vivian, however, they also planned on having a baby. Kate was to be artificially inseminated but Vivian decided to intercede and she ended up pregnant with Kate and Victor's child. On the night that Kate and Victor were to finally exchange vows, Vivian went into labour and Kate delivered her own baby. Try and work that one out.
