Eagle Force Variations

There were several variations in packaging and in the figures themselves in the Eagle Force Series. This page lists some of the variations that I have noticed. Please let me know if you know of any not listed here.

1. Most of the Eagle Force figures were released by Mego and have "Eagle Force" printed on the package. However, after Mego went out of business in the early 1980's, the Eagle Force figures were released by Ideal. The Ideal figures were released on packages with "Strike Force" printed where "Eagle Force" was printed on the Mego releases.

2. The "Eagle Force" text and the background color on the name box were printed on most of the packages in silver, but there were also packages printed in gold.

3. On most packages, the clear plastic bubble holding the figure to the card was box shaped with a smaller box to the left to hold the figures guns and other accessories. There were also packages where the bubble was shaped like a bomb. The "bomb" packages did not have a separate bubble for the weapons and accessories.

4. Some of R.I.O.T. cards are printed "Eagle Force vs. R.I.O.T." with Eagle Force to the left of R.I.O.T. and others were printed "R.I.O.T. vs. Eagle Force" with R.I.O.T. above Eagle Force.

5. When the Eagle Force figures were first released, the package backs had a comic, but no characters pictured to the sides and below. Shortly after their release, Mego changed the packages to include character pictures.

6. There were two versions of the Goldie Hawk figure. One has red lipstick and one does not have her lips painted at all.

7. There were two versions of the Zapper figure. One has brown hair and is the more common of the two. The other has hair that is more of a red-brown.
