Sweeps are here!!!!! This is the time frame that determines how much networks can charge for advertising due to ratings. Therefore, they draw in as many people as possible by airing new epsiodes for three to four weeks in a row. These plots are something that viewers have waited a long time for or are very huge events on the show.
In previous sweeps on Friends:
- Joey dated Pheobe's twin sister, Ursula, in her first appearence on the show. (116 and 117)
- Ross and Rachel finally got together in the best episode of the series, TOW the Prom Video
- Ross and Rachel broke up (315 and 316)

This year:
- Reese Witherspoon guest stars as Rachel's spoiled sister, Jill, who tries to "steal" Ross from her - Feb. 3 TOW Rachel's Sister and Feb. 10 TOW Chandler Can't Cry
- The gang wonders what their lives would be like if they had made different desicions - Feb. 17 TO That Could Have Been
