Since the finale wasn't a cliff hanger, we're not in as much of an anticipation for the premire as we have been the past two year. (This is because at the time of filming, nobody knew if there would be a seventh season, so they didn't want to film a cliff hanger. Now we know there will be two more years of Friends.) If you want to know what will happen on the premire, here's the place to find out! I don't have a "script" like last year from someone who went to the taping, just a lot of different tidbits about the episode. Eveything of importance that I have is posted here. Enjoy!!

701- TOW Monica's Thunder
from Heat magazine

When Aniston took to the stage, a huge cheer rang out from the 300-strong invited audience. Someone shouted: "Congratulations Jennifer!", and the crowd whooped when she replied, "Thanks a lot!"

Security for filming of the first episode was extra tight with the studio audience entering the studio through an airport style metal detector. Filming began at 3:15 on Friday afternoon and went on for 6 hours. The scenes were filmed in sequence as they will appear on screen. Matthew Perry, looking fitter than he has done in years, was the most exacting member of the cast, changing his lines a number of times and ordering some scenes to be re-shot up to 3 times.

So what did Heat see?

Well, after the "will they, won't they" goings on at the end of the last series, Chandler finally proposed to Monica. The seventh series opens with the gang celabrating the news, with Monica on the balcony shouting "I'm engaged, I'm engaged!". Ross is easily confused, thinking its a kid proclaiming "I'm gay, I'm gay!"

Chandler then cajoles his spouse to be into the bedroom for some celebratory action, but returns distraught after being unable to perform. Ross on the other hand gets some unexpected news from Rachel - it turns out that he was good in bed. She suggests that they have a no strings attached "bonus night", just for the hell of it. Ross, the fool, says no... for a while.

Joey gets an acting job playing a 19 yr old and dons an Ali G-esque ensemble to gear up for the part. When Chandler confides in him, typically he doesn't get it and makes Chandler feel worse! Monica is the only still remotely calm - until, that is she sees Rachel and Ross getting... friendly!

The show is set to air on the 12th October in the US. On the credits list Jennifer is still Aniston, not Pitt. After her marriage Courteney Cox had her credits name changed to Cox Arquette.

The scenes were taped slightly out of order but I believe they go like this:

Scene 11- Thunder
Chandler and Monica's apartment

Monica tells Rachel that Rachel is trying to steal her thunder because Rachel wants to have sex with Ross on Monica's engagement night. Monica says she has already stolen her thunder at her sweet sixteen birthday party when she made out with her cousin Charlie. Rachel says that was because Monica's party was so boring. Monica says, "We had a caricaturist!" Phoebe comes in and sings:
Whenever I get married
Guess who I won't ask to sing
Somebody named Geller
And somebody else named Bing.

Monica says to Rachel that maybe she's just jealous that her "formerly fat friend" is getting married before she is. Rachel says that is so unfair and now she wants to steal Monica's thunder. She says, "Come on Ross, let's go have sex!" and leaves. Ross makes a "what" noise but then follows Rachel. Monica then follows them to the door and says, "I can't believe you're having sex on my engagement night!" and Chandler replies, "Well, somebody should."

Scene 12
Rachel's bedroom
Rachel and Ross are in her bedroom and Rachel says, "We're not really going to have sex, we're just going to make them think we are." Ross says, "Oh, so EVERYBODY wins." There is a knock on the door. Rachel asks who it is and Monica replies that it is she. Rachel makes statements that suggest she and Ross are fooling around.

Monica and Chandler enter and Monica says, "I hope you do get back together, and I hope you do have sex tonight. But I warn you, the night you announce your engagement is the night I announce that I am pregnant." Chandler says, "How is that ever going to happen?"

Rachel says she's just doing this because she's sad that Monica is getting married and she's not getting married, "not even close," she just wanted to make herself feel better. Then she says to Monica, "You were so depressed after Ross got married that you slept with Chandler!" Ross looks at Chandler and Chandler says, "I don't care, she slept with me." Monica and Rachel make up and hug. Ross says he's going to take off. He holds up his hands and says, "From now on, the only one who gets to enjoy these bad boys is me" (it was referenced earlier in the show).

Scene 13- Honeymoon
Chandler and Monica's bedroom
Chandler and Monica are in their bedroom and Chandler mentions he might take Monica to Paris for their honeymoon. Monica says, "Bonjour, monsier," and they start kissing when there is a knock at the door. Chandler says, "This is Paris, how does anyone know where we're here?" Monica answers the door to see Phoebe. She is annoyed and asks Phoebe what's up. Phoebe says she wants to play guitar at their wedding and gets mad when they want her to leave.

Scene 14- Tag
Chandler and Monica's living room

They shot two different versions of this:
Phoebe is playing her guitar in the living room. The song is about how Phoebe stayed and stayed, and at the end she sings, "Tonight Chandler won't get laid." Chandler comes out and pays Phoebe to stop playing, then asks her to play at their wedding. Phoebe is excited and keeps playing after Chandler goes back in the bedroom. She keeps singing, hoping he will come out again, but he doesn't.

In the second version, Chandler says "Consider it a down payment" when he pays her. After she begins playing again he comes back out of his room and grabs her guitar out of her hands. Phoebe grabs her money that she has dropped on the floor and leaves.
