Now, I have to say, you guys are going to want to kill me after this installment. Please don't.

" Now you will exchange vows. John, you may begin."

" Anna, I love you with all my heart and soul, and wish nothing than to spend the rest of my life with you. To see you through the good and the bad. And forever until death do us part."

" Anna, go ahead."

" John, I have loved you more than anyone else in the world. I wish to be with you until death do us part and beyond. I want you to see me through the good and the bad, and I want to be with you forever."

" John, repeat after me. With this ring I thee wed."

" With this ring I thee wed.."

" To keep the vows previously said."

" To keep the vows previously said." he places the ring on her finger.

" Anna, say the same."

Anna repeats the speech and places a ring on Carter's finger.

" I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Carter gives Anna a passionate kiss and they walked down the aisle.

The reception was noisy and continued until ten o'clock. After everyone left, Anna and Carter headed to the house to pick up their bags and to change, to go on their honeymoon.

" Anna, I am so happy!"

" I am too. I'm really tired. Do you mind if I sleep?"

" No. Go ahead wife."

" Thank you, husband." they both laughed.

Jack Bailey came out of a bar at 10:30 way too drunk to drive. He got in his truck and drove off.

Carter was just in downtown Chicago when it happened. A truck came out of nowhere, and Carter had no time to react. A scream shattered the silence.

When the police arrived on scene, Anna regained conciousness as she searched beside her for Carter. She may not have found him, but the cops had. He had gone through the shattered windshield. The paramedics loaded Carter onto a gurney as the cops returned. They helped another set of paramedics release Anna from the car. The driver of the truck, identified as Jack Bailey was dead upon the scene. The police checked out where Carter had been sitting. The air bag had never deployed and the seatbelt snapped in two, meaning he had been wearing it. They impounded the car and came to the realization, that the driver of the truck had been at fault.

The ambulence pulled up to County General, to a waiting trauma team. The paramedics came out and gave them the bullet. It was something about an MVA. As they wheeled the patient into the Trauma room, he crashed.

" Charge to 200........Clear!" shouted Mark.

" Normal sinus rhythm." said Carol.

" Any identification Connie?" asked Mark

" Oh yeah." Connie turned pale as she handed over the wallet.

" Oh my god! Prep for a lavage! Fast!"

" What is it Mark?"

" Carol, it's Carter."

" What?! Where's Anna?"

" In trauma two. She's concious," answered Doug who just walked in. " The driver that caused the accident had a BAL of .41." he sighed." How's Carter?"

" Bad, Doug. Very bad."

" Oh man."

They ordered eveything they could, only to discover, he would not live. Doug went to talk to Anna.

" What's going on? How's John?" Anna was sitting in bed.

" He's dying Anna. We can't stop it. I'm sorry."

" NO! This can't be! He can't die! He just can't!"

" We think he may only have an hour left. Do you think he would like to donate his organs?"

" Yeah, I know he would. He always wanted to help people. If he has to die, he wold want to help others."

" Would you like to sit with him?"

" Yes please."

" Okay, follow me."

Anna got up and followed Doug. Her heart stopped when she saw Carter. It was frightening. She took her seat on a stool beside his bed. Just as they were leaving, Carter awoke. Mark stayed by the door and let him talk to Anna.

" Anna, I'm dying aren't I?"

" Yes, you are."

" I love you, Anna. Very much."

" I know. I told them you wanted to give your organs."

" Good. I awoke to say goodbye."

" Goodbye, John. I love you and I'll miss you."

At this Carter flatlined. Mark came over and started compressions. Anna put her hand over his. " Let him go Mark. Let him go."

" Time of Death............23:59 pm."
