The steady clop of hooves echoed into the gloaming. Draco smiled at Harry, who was hypnotized by the sparkling diamond.

 

“Like it?” Draco whispered. The glint of tears in Harry’s eyes said it all. “It belonged to Mother.”

 

Harry’s eyes widened. “Your…?”

 

Draco nodded. “Yes.”

 

“Does…?”

 

Draco nodded again, unable to hide his smile. “Yes, love. She approves. She actually reserved this hansom for us.”

 

Harry launched into Draco's arms. Draco hugged him, then grinned. “You know, in antiquity, a wet bargain meant more than a dry one.”

 

Harry smirked, then locked his lips onto his fiancé’s.

 

A bargain sealed.
