Don't tell Simms that good things come to those who wait. "After I left [GL], I opened two businesses. I just jumped into what I called 'the real world' because I wasn't good at the waiting thing." First, Simms opened a hotel in Santa Monica, CA, then a spa in Beverly Hills, and after her wedding last fall, she moved to Laguna Beach, CA, where her husband (Christopher Blobaum) is an executive chef. "It's my little slice of paradise down here. I feel very blessed," she shares.

Simms fondly recalls her GL days. "[The day I left] I was just crying and crying and crying. It was so sweet, though; all my friend came out and they had champagne and [then-Executive Producer] Jill Farren Phelps gave me a clock and the card said, 'It's just a question of time.' That's why I ended up leaving; it was a contract timing thing. It was emotional and very hard. It's pretty much your life. I didn't have a family at the time. I think now it would be a lot different. When we were all in our 20s-and a lot of us were far from our friends and families-you get really involved. It's pretty much your life." #
