A: "The hardest thing about not speaking was trying to convey a strong emotional life without words."

Q: What's the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for you?

A: "When my husband, Peter, and I were first courting, we lived 3,000 miles apart, and he used to send me a love letter every day. Then he started sending me a gift every day for every birthday he had missed, in addition to the love letters!"

Q: When was the last time one of your co-stars made fun of you, and why?

A: "You can ask anyone there: I am probably the most teased person on the show. It's ongoing. But the reason they tease me is that they know I enjoy it. I was raised with three older brothers and no sisters, so to me, teasing is a sign of affection. I don't go through a day at the studio without multiple people in the cast and crew teasing me. Grant [Aleksander], Ron Raines [Alan], Michael O'Leary--as far as cast members, they definitely do it the most."
