Notes: Phil Neville can play anywhere across the back four although he regularly fills the left-back position at Old Trafford. Rose to national prominence after some excellent performances in the wing-back position for England in Le Tournoi but cruelly missed out on the World Cup in France. Phil has the pace to match even the quickest wingers, is strong in the tackle, has excellent technique and is a force going forward. Scored his first ever senior goal at Old Trafford in the 5-0 romp over Brondby in November '98
