Answers:
Where
can I view an episode of "Head Of The Class"?
The show was airing weekdays
at 3:30 a.m. PST and weekends at 4:30 a.m. PST on Nick At Nite, though
Nick At Nite stopped airing the show in late 2003. TV land will ocasionally
show a one off episode, particularly around the holidays. No episodes
have been released on either VHS or DVD as of yet.
Can
you provide me with tapes of the show?
No, unfortunately.
We currently do not have any episodes on tape. Even if we did, with
the amount of requests we get for them, we'd be here dubbing tapes for
folks until 2008.
Do
Simone and Eric end up together? Etc.
We get a fair amount
of email asking us questions about the series regarding the plots.
Unfortunately, with the show going on 18 years old now, we can't remember
many specific plot elements. Your best bet would be to try some of
the links provided
here.
Can
you provide me with information and plot summaries?
TV Tome has plot summaries
here.
If we can create a similar page without ripping theirs off, we'll do it.
Also, the TV Land website usually has
the plot summaries for the episodes airing that week.
Although
the theme music to "Head Of The Class" is instrumental, were there lyrics?
Not to our knowledge.
Incidentally, the theme to the show was composed by Ed Alton and can be
heard (and seen) here.
The
teacher in "Head of The Class" had a great answer to "which comes first,
the chicken or the egg?" Do you remember the answer?
Unfortunately, we don't.
But we'd love to hear it!
Who
were the show's producers? I'd like to write to them and request
a reunion special.
The creators and executive
producers of the show were Michael Elias and Rich Eustis.
Why
didn't Nick at Nite show every episode in order?
It's our understanding
that Nick At Nite purchases programs in bundles. Often times these
bundles DO NOT contain every episode of the show in question. We
suspect this has something to do with rights issues surrounding the episodes.
It's interesting to note that Nick At Nite viewers have claimed to have
only seen one or two of the episodes featuring Billy Connolly from the
show's final season.
What
are the former cast members of "Head Of The Class" doing now?
You can check the IMDb
for a more detailed account. But here's a short list:
JEANETTA ARNETTE appeared in many films and TV shows, including "Boys Don't Cry," "Pay It Forward," "The Shipping News" and the TV miniseries "The 70s." She appeared in an episode of "ER" at the beginning of 2003.
HOWARD HESSEMAN, who's been acting since the late '60s, has been steadily working since "Head Of The Class." He was last scene in the film "About Schmidt."
LESLIE BEGA appeared in about a dozen films since "Head Of The Class." From 1992 to 1997, she was married to INXS drummer Jon Farriss.
MARCIA CHRISTIE did three movies and a TV show following "Head Of The Class" but has not appeared publicly since 1995.
BILLY CONNOLLY is perhaps much more famous in the UK than in the US. He continues to work steadily and has appeared in numerous UK films and TV shows as well as continuing his successful stand up career. He appears in the recent Tom Cruise film "The Last Samurai."
MICHAEL DELORENZO has appeared in a good amount of films and TV shows. One of his very first roles was in Michael Jackson's "Beat It" video, as one of the gang members. He played Detective Eddie Torres for three seasons on the TV show "New York Undercover."
DAN FRISCHMAN has turned away from the public eye for the most part. In 1994, he appeared briefly in an episode of "Seinfeld." He appears in the 2003 film "Masked And Anonymous."
ROBIN GIVENS worked steadily throughout the '90s, mainly in television. After her disastrous marriage to boxer Mike Tyson, she had another brief marriage in 1997 to her tennis instructor Svetozar Marinkovic. She has two children, one of which is the son of tennis player Murphy Jensen. She is currently working on a new TV movie entitled "Hollywood Wives: The New Generation."
KHRYSTYNE HAJE continues to do bit parts in television and movies, including "Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday The 13th" and "Law And Order." This year, she appeared in the straight to video release "Redemption" and a Tylenol commercial.
JORY HUSAIN has done a number of theater productions under the name JOHER COLEMAN. He also writes and records his own music and does voiceover work for television.
TONY O' DELL appeared in one episode of "In The House" in 1996, but otherwise has been relatively silent. As of 2001, he's been doing voiceover work.
LARA PIPER appeared in two TV shows but otherwise hasn't been heard from publicly.
RAIN PRYOR has been fairly quiet but appeared in the recent VH-1 miniseries "I Love The '80s," as well as the film "How The Grinch Stole Christmas."
JONATHAN KE QUAN--perhaps most famous for being Data in "Goonies" and Short Round in "Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom"--has appeared more behind the scenes than in front of the camera. He was assistant fight choreographer and stunt rigger on the film "X-Men" and worked with Jet Li in "The One." He also produced and edited the film "Voodoo." Last year he appeared in the Honk Kong film "Miu Haan Fook Wood."
BRIAN ROBBINS has become a successful producer and director, having done a number of projects throughout the '90s. Working with former cast member Dan Schneider, he became a producer for programming on Nickelodeon, most notably "All That," "Kenan & Kel," "The Amanda Show" and the subsequent "All That" spinoff film "Goodburger." He has two children with wife Laura Cathcart.
KIMBERLY RUSSELL has appeared in a handful of films and TV shows. She last appeared in an episode of "Roswell."
WILLIAM G. SCHILLING has appeared in over a dozen films and TV shows since "Head Of The Class," including "In The Line Of Fire" and "Space Jam."
DAN SCHNEIDER seems to have been one of the most prolific ex-cast members. Working with former cast member Brian Robbins, he became a writer and producer for programming on Nickelodeon, most notably "All That," "Kenan & Kel," "The Amanda Show" and the subsequent "All That" spinoff film "Goodburger." He's also made occasional appearances in these projects. He was last heard as the voice of a pedestrian in the video game "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City." He's currently working on a new show entitled "Drake And Josh."
TANNIS VALLELY has worked as a casting assistant on shows such as "Just Shoot Me!" and "My Big Fat Greek Life," as well as the film "Matchstick Men."
DE'VOREAUX WHITE has turned away from the public eye, appearing in only one film and two movies after "Head Of The Class." His last role was as a transvestite in the film "Shadow Hours."
To be continued...
Where
can I see some pictures of (insert cast member here)?
The materials we present
on this website do not and will not reflect the cast members' careers past
"Head Of The Class." The IMDb (Internet
Movie Database) usually has at least a few pictures of actors and actresses
in their database. Other than that, we don't know where one can find
any current pictures of any of the stars of the show. We recommend
trying a search on Google. Sometimes pictures pop up in the strangest
places. We were at a Beatles convention and found (and purchased)
two candid pictures of Khrystyne Haje at a premiere at one of those vendor
tables.
Where
can I find more information on the show?
Unfortunately, as slim
as this page is, it is currently the most complete resource for "Head Of
The Class" on the internet. See our links
page for other sites dedicated to "Head of the Class."
Are
you going to start a page with production information?
We hadn't considered
it, but if we can assemble a page and verify that the information is complete,
we'll add it. The IMDb appears
to have some of that info.
Have
you considered adding fan fiction to your page?
No offense intended,
but we've always regarded "fan fiction" as a bit corny. However,
if we get enough requests for it, we'll look into it.
How
can I help your website?
By writing your local
congressman and...no, just kidding. We greatly appreciate any contributions
you can make to our website, particularly scans of cast photos, TV Guide
ads, magazine articles, show info, trivia, etc.
