Hope Island was produced by PAX (NBC owns 33% of PAX ), Lions Gate Entertainment, and also Paramount International.
It was September 12th, 1999 that Hope Island premiered on PAX-TV. Much to our disappointment, PAX decided to cancel producing this wonderful series and also pulled airing re-runs of the special show. At that time many fans wrote to them expressing their wishes for the series to continue, but sadly on April 3rd, 2000 that final 22nd episode of the series was aired.
In Canada, May 2nd, 2000 Showcase, an Alliance Atlantis company, began airing Hope Island, and it was taken off for a while, but now thankfully, Hope Island has returned to Showcase, for our Canadian friends to enjoy. If you are enjoying watching Hope on Showcase, don't forget to let them know! Below you will find addresses to write to.
If you are a Hope Island fan, or maybe haven't ever seen Hope, but would like to have more family, friendly programming, that has actual values, on TV, please help us in this campaign to Bring HOPE back to America!
