Allison Hossack plays Molly Brewster, Alex's best friend and right-hand-gal at the Widow's Walk Tavern. She's also the girlfriend of Hope Island's only police officer, Kevin Mitchum. If the Widow's Walk is the heart of the town, then Molly Brewster is the soul of Hope Island. Molly has lived on the island her entire life, leaving only to attend college at the University of Washington, a time that coincided with the divorce of her parents. Molly lives with her father, Brian, who is constantly devising business plans aimed at bringing tourists to Hope Island and wealth back to the Brewster family.
Born and raised in Killarney, Manitoba, Allison first began performing by singing in her high school's musicals. She then studied music and drama at Brandon University in Manitoba and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music. Allison Hossack's television career began in daytime on NBC's long-running soap, "Another World," where she played Olivia Matthews. After three years, she moved to prime-time, winning roles on Stephen J. Cannell's "Cobra," the hit science fiction series "Sliders," and FOX's critically praised drama, "Profit." Hossack has also appeared on "The Outer Limits," "Lonesome Dove," "F/X," "Poltergeist," and "Forever Knight." Allison has lived, worked and studied in Toronto and New York, and now makes her home in Vancouver. Her spare time is spent with her husband, Jamie. She also writes short stories and studies yoga.
