Marcus Griffiths arrives on the island in search of his birth mother, who
happens to be Ruby's sister. Marcus is a charismatic teacher and former Peace Corps volunteer who decides to stay and make a difference, by teaching in the public school on Hope Island.
Dion Johnstone is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a bachelor of fine arts degree. He has been in numerous theater productions and has also guest starred on "Stargate SG-1."
