1. Look One Way and Row Another
Daniel (Cameron Daddo) arrives to establish his ministry at the abandoned
Hope Community church. Brian Brewster (Duncan Fraser) has pulled every
string he can to get Daniel to Hope, hoping to partner with him to give
validity to his new "footsteps" scheme and help him sell real estate. Kevin
learns that his visiting father, Jake, is suffering from the initial stages
of Alzheimer's, and must learn to see his heroic "old man" in a new light.
Dylan finds a kindred spirit in Daniel after Daniel gets him out of a truancy
ticket. The two begin to bond, which frustrates Alex (Suki Kaiser) who
has been having difficulty communicating with Dylan. After some initial
doubts, Daniel realizes that he's needed and gives his first sermon on
Hope. Daniel and Alex connect and she unwittingly helps to eliminate the
bane of his existence...the footsteps!

2. It Takes A Voyage to Learn
Brian hosts the James J. Braddock Memorial tour for retired boxers,
which threatens to go awry when Ruby and Bonita fail to order cigars. Daniel
visits the dying Judge Bradley, who resists Daniel's efforts to counsel
him. It eventually comes out that five years ago, Judge Bradley gave his
terminally ill wife a fatal dose of morphine. Daniel struggles to come
to terms with this revelation. Alex gives Daniel "boating lessons" and
Daniel eventually overcomes his seasickness. The reason Ruby and Bonitz
aren't speaking to each other comes out via Molly - it was over a man named
Calvin Douglas. Daniel gets the two women speaking again, which wreaks
havoc on the whole village. Eventually, Alex and Molly remedy the situation
by bringing Calvin back to Hope and so that Ruby and Bonita will fight
all over again. The plan works and things are restored to normal. Before
he passes on, Judge Bradley and Daniel bond. The Judge leaves his prized
boat to Daniel.

3. Each Tub Must Stand On Its Own Bottom
Melissa O'Toole and her husband Mark are having marital problems.
Daniel attempts to counsel them, but it's a rocky road. A baby is mysteriously
left on Daniel's doorstep and the whole village takes part in raising the
child, whom they call Moses. Daniel starts a church choir, which includes
a tone-deaf Brian. The choir wishes Brian would drop out to avoid humiliation.
Father Mac is eager to have his stunning choir compete with Daniel's at
an upcoming Hope Community "Family Night" service. Through Moses, Kevin
conquers his fear of being a father. Jimmy and Melissa are reconciled,
and in a surprise denouement, Melissa steps forward at the Family Night
service to claim the baby as her own.

5. The Whole Kettle Of Fish
Brian has embarked on two interrelated schemes. Brewser Shores Resort
and a Mayoral Candidacy. The school's "bad boy" Eric, befriends Dylan and
lead him down a questionable path. Eric tries to persuade Dylan to reject
Daniel's friendship.

6. In A Bit of A Tight
Daniel is recruited as the 7th Annual Hope Play's director with Nub
Flanders (Haig Sutherland) as his assistant. Kevin is cast as the center
of a love triangle with Alex and Delores Mac Master. This makes Molly jealous.
Brian feels old. Daniel's wife Stella makes a surprise appearance and tells
him that she wants to give their marriage a chance. Daniels learns that
Stella has come to Hope to obtain photos of him to sell to the tabloids
and he confronts her.

7. You Can't Look at the Sea without Wishing for Wings
Daniel reaches out to a reclusive poet who has withdrawn from society.
A psychiatrist has come to the island to re-evaluate her career, fearing
she has permanently lost her ability to help others. Brian tries to convince
the psychiatrist to help Nub, who thinks he's seen a mermaid.

8. From Stem to Stern
After a three-year courtship, Kevin is ready to take the plunge and
propose to Molly, but fate seems to be working against him as he hilariously
blunders one propel after another. Nub goes to extreme lengths to get a
chance to drive Brian's vintage Eldorado, but will he pay for it with his
life? The community rallies in support when it appears that Nub might actually
meet his Maker.

9. Sailing Under False Colors
A romantic comedy of errors, this episode finds Alex and Daniel paired
with ill-suited dates. The mismatched couples eventually right themselves,
leaving Alex and Daniel one step closer to realizing an undeniable attraction
between them. Kevin moonlights at a series of ill-suited jobs in order
to earn money to buy the wedding ring he thinks Molly deserves. Brian and
Nub take it upon themselves to "coach" Kevin on his sales techniques--with
hilariously disastrous results.

10. Ships That Pass In The Night
Healing, redemption and sore feet--this episode delivers drama with
a swingin' dose of music, dance and romance. Daniel gets in over his head
when he agrees to counsel a local man who has a drinking problem. Bonita
reveals a painful secret in order to help Daniel. Boris teaches a Swing
dance class--matching unlikely partners with unexpected results.

11. Red Sky at Morning, Sailor Take Warning
Inspired by front-page headlines, this gripping episode finds Daniel
in a difficult position when he discovers that a beloved member of the
community is actually a fugitive on the run. When Daniel goes out on a
limb for the woman, he may have to pay a great price. Father Mac gets his
own feathers ruffled when he agrees to care for a parishioner's talking
parrot that won't shut up. Belinda Montgomery (Doogie Howser, M.D.) guest
stars.

12. Batten Down the Hatches
Expect the unexpected when Daniel, Brian and Father Mac find themselves
on the auction block for a charity fund-raiser. Alex gets more than she
bargained for when Father Mac is auctioned off to help clean out her attic.
Bonita and Ruby purchase Reverend Cooper, and put him in charge of the
General Store while they go off for a day on the mainland. They return
to find a cherished memento missing. Kevin launches an investigation where
no one is above suspicion. And Daniel gets in over his head when he tries
to help out a mentally challeneged man.

13. Don't Give Up The Ship (Christmas Episode)
It's Christmas (and Chanukah) on Hope Island and the so-called season
of miracles is put to the test when a friend from Daniel's past (a Rabbi
who's lost his faith) comes to visit. Meanwhile, the local fishermen have
turned to reverend Cooper to read an ancient mariner's blessing to reverse
a spate of bad luck and bring them good fortune. Daniel has theological
issues with the wording and refueses to invoke the ancient mariner gods.
The fishermen blame Daniel when their fortune suddenly takes a turn for
the worse. Nub, who shares his grandfathers' secret for catching fish with
Dylan, seems to be the only one on the island bringing in a steady catch.
The fishermen turn to Nub in desperation, in the hopes that he can reverse
their fortune. Daniel finds a way to mend fences with the fishermen and
teach them a lesson about the differnce between superstition and faith.
With the help of one very special child, the spirit of the season works
its way into the hearts of the townspeople.

14. Twenty Sailors Around A Buttonhole
Daniel reaches out to a troubled youth coping with diabetes whose parents'
fighting is making matters worse. The boy has a near death experience and
comes back not only with a desire to reunite his estranged parents, but
also with a message of forgiveness for Father Mac. Meanwhile, Brian embarks
on a shameless campaign to win the first annual Hope Humanitarian Award.

15. A Sailor Who's Lost His Leg Doesn't Miss His Boot
Daniel is in hot water when he discovers the church bank account is
overdrawn, and he may be forced to close it's doors. Alex must put aside
her personal issues with organized religion in order to help Daniel come
up with the cash needed to save the church. Meanwhile, a charismatic teacher
and former Peace Corps volunteer arrives on the island in search of his
birth mother, whom he believes to be Ruby. Nub and Brian put Kevin through
a grueling training regimen in order to pass the physical fitness test
required to make sergeant. Things are looking doubtful for Kevin until
Molly comes up with a "secret weapon" to turn the tide.

16. Everyone Must Row With the Oar He Has
Ever dream of winning the lottery? What if you won, but you couldn't
find the ticket? Daniel purchases the winning ticket in a weekly pool for
Alex, Brian, Ruby and Bonita, but he misplaces it. Alex hires a hypnotist
to induce a truth-telling state in order to "jog" his memory. Complications
arise when the hypnotist leaves Daniel in a state of posthypnotic suggestion
in which he's compelled to tell the truth. Kevin and Molly hit a few stumbling
blocks on the way to the altar.

17. Promises Made In A Storm are Forgotten on a Calm Sea
Dylan's father returns after a long absence and wants to be a family
again with Alex and Dylan. Nub and Brian help nab caviar smugglers. Part
1 of 2

18. New Skies Call for New Duties
Part two of a special two-part episode continues as Dylan's father,
Steve, asks Alex to marry him. Alex struggles with her decision. She turns
to Daniel for help, but his own feelings for her only complicate matters.
Boris recruits his friends to make "Hope Island: The Movie" in an effort
to convince his family back in Russia that he's a success. But it all backfires,
forcing him to take a more realistic look at his life on Hope Island.

19. A Rising Tide Takes All Boats
Brian and Boris hatch a plan to help Nub impress his mother who's coming
to the island for a short visit. The plan quickly snowballs out of control
as Nub suddenly finds himself "trading places" with Brian. Alex learns
that Dylan is gifted in Science and struggles with whether or not to send
him to a private school hundreds of miles away.

20. Never Burn Your Tongue on the Admiral's Broth
With Molly and Kevin's wedding only a week away, Molly's high school
sweetheart Peter shows up with more than reminiscing on his mind. For the
first time, Kevin's jealous side rears its ugly head when Kevin meets the
handsome and successful Peter. Meanwhile, a despondent member of Daniel's
congregation misinterprets Daniel's sermon, thinking it contains a loophole
that justifies suicide.

21. It Blew So Hard It Took Two Men to Hold One Man's Hair On
Molly and Kevin finally tie the knot; there's a storm warning for the
island and a storm brewing between Brian and his ex-wife. With Cameron
Daddo.

22. Abandon Ship
Daniel's parents arrive on Hope Island in the wake of the storm with
an offer for Daniel to join his father's worldwide television ministry
-- but that would mean leaving Hope Island -- and Alex! Molly and Kevin's
marriage is put to the test when Brian is forced to move in with them.
With the phone lines down, Nub acts as a one man messenger service and
nearly jeopardizes Ruby's friendship with Father Mac.
