42. In an on-set contest inspired by a revealing costume in the last episode, Father Mac, Brian Brewster and Supervising Producer Jason Milligan all competed for the title "whitest legs". Jason Milligan won legs - er, hands down.
43. When Alex and Molly conspired to snare Calvin Douglas in order to restore normalcy to Ruby and Bonita's relationship, they used the names "Lucy" and "Ethel" because even they realized it was a bit wacky.
44. Even after Steve's departure, Daniel keeps his feelings about Alex to himself when she says that she's not ready for a relationship - yet.
45. Molly Brewster has been the proud recipient of five rings in he life. Peter gave her one from a Cracker Jack box when she was seven, and also gave her an opal ring when they were in high school. Kevin gave her a washer substitute ring when he proposed, and later his mother's engagement ring. In Episode 21 he finally slipped the wedding ring on her finger in the midst of a storm.
46. Nub's birth certificate reads "Nathaniel Umberto Barton".
47. Blake Hunter had to bow out of his traditional director's position for the Hope Island play when he got an offer to direct "Cats" on a Princess Cruise Line.
48. Daniel is left in charge of the general store - to everyone's chagrin - when Ruby goes to the mainland to shop while Bonita enrolls in Beauty School.
49. Boris and Nub each decide to hide out, but for different reasons. Boris has a dream that the KGB is after him, and Nub is hiding out from the fishermen who want him as their lucky talisman.
50. Brian Brewster is passed over as the spokesman for the Brewster Estates development - because he isn't charismatic enough. This is an opinion he definitely does not share.
51. Nub names the foundling Moses because they were both left in baskets.
52. Daniel ends one of his sermons quoting the Big Four (not the gospels, the Beatles) when he borrowed "Love is all you need. Love is all you need. Yeah, yeah, yeah." From All You Need Is Love.
53. While Alex is running for Mayor, Molly spends her time trying to appease The Feathered Friends Bird Watching Society.
54. The Tiki Bar was a reminder of Brian's pre-Jesus Footsteps attraction - a Club Med-like resort on Hope Island.
55. Nub, Brian, Callie, Father Mac and Ruby all succumb to dancing feet around town when Boris starts his dance class.
56. Bonita's beauty shop is named "Beauty By Bonita."
57. When Alex's mother was dying of cancer, Alex prayed for God to help her mother. She feels that God did not answer her prayer and Alex lost faith after that.
58. During his illness, Nub takes comfort from Duane, Debbie and Elliott Prescott, characters in the Captain Supremo comic book that Brian reads to him.
59. Kevin (David Lewis) provided some of the best laughs on the set when he was filming the obstacle course scene as he prepared to take the sergeant's exams. In one take his foot got caught in the netting and his struggle to free himself had cast and crew rolling in the aisles.
60. Daniel Cooper's name was drawn from two classics. Daniel from the Bible - and Cooper from screen great Gary Cooper.
