Ni hao! Here a section on pics from the trip. The pics on this site were taken by my teacher. There is a link below that will take you to another place where pics I took while I was there are on. For now, I'm not able to put them onto Angelfire for some reason. I'm not too well with html...thats all. But enjoy them anyways. This is a pic of a few of the peeps from my group. We are at a Buddhist temple that houses the largest Jade Buddha in Shanghai. Imagine...a large Jade Buddha...that'd be cool to have in your home. These are a few of the European buildings that can found near the Bund in Shanghai. Remember...this is Asia. Bund is German for "waterfront". This pic was taken at the Forbidden City in Beijing. It shows a good example on the amount of people and busy-ness China contains. This is a group pic...ignore my teacher's finger...we are at the giant monument thing in Tiananmen Square. I'm sorry, but I forgot what this was. So much for me paying attention... This is one of my teachers, Philip and I posing (heh heh, posing!) at Tiananmen Square. Yep, there are lots of people there. Here are a few of the students and I at a local family home in Shanghai. We are trying to make dumplings. Note the word trying. This is Mao's portrait that can be found at the entrance of the Forbidden City. This is us and a few others looking into a Buddhist temple at the Wild Goose Pagoda in Xian. A pagoda is where Buddhist monks pray...and they're pretty tolerant of tourists too. This pic was taken at the Stone Steles in Xian. The stone things on the side are old horse post(meant for holding your horses). They are pretty cool. This is the stone tablets. They have things written on them. Its so cool cause if you can read Chinese, then you can read them. This is a giant marble dragon thing that runs along steps in the Forbidden City. Its very big and impressive. This is one of the pits that houses many TerraCotta warriors of Xian. There are thousands of them in there and many more still needed to be discovered. Once again, here are two of the warriors that they were able to perserve the paint on them. I like them better w/out the paint though. This pic of Tiananmen Square was taken at night while we were looking for an internet cafe. I wish I had taken a picture of it myself. Once again, same place. This is one of the teachers and I at the Great Wall in Beijing. It was so cool to climb up on. When I got off the wall, I was like, next place, the Pyramids!! This is a pic of a garden at the Wild Goose Pagoda in Xian. I thought the pic was pretty though. This is the Wild Goose Pagoda.
