Third Season!
The Kids' WB! network recently confirmed via a press release the
pick-up of the hit X-Men: Evolution animated series for a third
season.
Here's how the network described the new season:
"X-Men: Evolution introduces new characters and explores new
relationships as they enter into a third season with 13 all-original
episodes. As the teenage mutants use their powers to protect the
world from evil, they also try to maintain some normalcy in their
lives... discovering first loves, forbidden friendships and a
struggle to control the legacy of the X-Men. The series, produced by
Marvel Studios in association with Film Roman, delves deep into the
rich, intriguing mythology of the X-Men world."
In other X-Men: Evolution news, the show ranked as the #2 broadcast
and cable program for the morning of Saturday, February 2, in Boys 6-
11 (6.7 rating/28 share) and posted an all-new series high in Kids 6-
11 (5.7/23) for the episode "Shadow Dance" in the 10:30am EST time
slot. The high-adventure mutant series also took the #2 broadcast
program spot among Kids 2-11 (4.2/16) and Boys 2-11 (5.0/19), and
finished #1 among Girls 6-11 (4.7/19).
X-Men: Evolution won't be pre-empted on March 2, after all. Kids' WB! announced late Wednesday that the show will be part of the "Super-Stuffed" event, including a new episode.
"Walk on the Wild Side," an episode featuring the female characters, will air at 11 a.m. (ET), followed by a repeat of "Mindbender."
"It so rocks," said Marvel Studios' Craig Kyle of "Walk on the Wild Side."
X-Men: Evolution is replacing the two previously announced episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh!
