The Adventure of the Shushing Librarian

My friend had a most unusual adventure when he inexplicably was transported into the future. It was there that was he called upon to solve a murder mystery in a library.

"Would you believe that librarian had the nerve to tell me to put out my pipe, Watson?" my friend told me as he related the events in this latest adventure to me.

"Did she?"

"Yes. She informed me that smoking of tobacco is prohibited inside public buildings."
