Chapter 1: Reminiscing each other
It was a beautiful day in Harmony. Luis Lopez Fitzgerald was still lying in his warm bed. But in his thoughts, He thought nothing else than his lost love, Sheridan Crane. He cannot believe he lost her in that tragic boating accident. He can’t get over her no matter where he was. Everything in Harmony reminded him of her. He missed her so much that he felt like he lost the will to live. He was constantly reminded of the accident. What could he have done differently? It was too late for “what if’s “and “could ifs” All he had was memories of her. All he had left was Beth, but it wasn’t the same with Beth. He only loved Sheridan, not Beth.
Somewhere in the Bermuda Islands
Diana walked along the pier. She looked out into the vast sea. She felt a strong connection to it. But why? She didn’t remember who she was. She was too busy thinking about her “dead lover” that she didn’t see the sign that said “Boardwalk closed.” She walked right into it, slipped on it and fell on her head.
Brian walked along the pier and was looking for Diana. He had been looking for her everywhere. She was supposed to be on the boat for a romantic lunch an hour ago. He walked towards the boardwalk and saw a woman lying there. Upon closer inspection, it was Diana
“Oh my god! Diana?” He gasped
He runs over and picks her up and carries her back to the hotel.
“Doc, Doc? Where are you? “Brian yelled
“Yeah, Brian?” Doc called
“Diana was lying on the boardwalk unconscious! She needs help! Please help her“
“Okay, bring her to her room.” Doc ordered
Brian brought her to her room. He was careful not to injure her anymore than she already was. Doc examined her and was about to call for Brian, when she woke up and cried.
“Brian” She cried on the top of her lungs; which caused Brian to run in.
“Diana, are you okay? What happened?“ Brian asked worried
“Brian, I got part of my memory back!” Diana whispered
Brian stood there stunned
This was the day he hoped would never come. He wanted her to never remember. He was hoping that with time that she would forget her “dead lover and would completely give her heart to him.”
So what do you memory.
“Sheridan Crane!” She replied quietly

Chapter 2 Remembering
“What do you remember?”
“Just my name and where I am from.” She replied frustrated
Brian sighed a little of relief. She doesn’t remember everything.
“So what is your name?” Brian asked
“Sheridan Crane.”
“So Di…Sheridan what are you going to do now?” Brian asked
“I am going back to my hometown Harmony. I want you to come with me!” Sheridan asked
“Why do you want me to come? You could just leave!” Brian spat angrily
“I want to meet your family, I want to meet your brother. You helped me through my hard time, I want to help you with your problems with your brother.” Sheridan offered
“Why?”
“Brian, you have done so much for me for this past year! The least I can do is to reunite you and your brother! Brothers should not hate each other!”
Brian thought about it, he didn’t want to go back, but for Sheridan, she was his weak spot. So he agreed against his better judgment.
“Sheridan, I will go! I will do anything for you know that right?”
“Thanks Brian! I know I can always count on you! I wonder how can I meet a person so wonderful as you!”
“Because I love you! Even if you leave me I will always love you no mattered what.”
Tears welled up in Sheridan. She kisses him with all her might.
“I love you too! I always will.”
Sheridan and Brian when into their room to get ready for the flight to Harmony: where fate awaits them.
Meanwhile back in Harmony…
Luis sat in his desk, impatiently tapping his pencil. In harmony there were hardly crimes and working as a police officer in Harmony was a drag.
He looked over to the door and somehow his mind envisions Sheridan walking through those doors. He was shaken from his daydream, when Sam tapped him on the shoulder.
“Hey Luis, there’s nothing really to do today, so why don’t you take the day off!” Sam asked
“I rather be here than with Beth!” Luis argued
“What? Luis what are you talking about.”
“I don’t want to lead her on; I don’t want to hurt her again, I can’t love her when I only wanted Sheridan. I can’t force her into a relationship with me when my heart is set on Sheridan!”
“Luis, I know you loved Sheridan a lot but, you have to face fact that she is gone, and you have to move on.” Sam replied solemnly
“Sam, Being with Sheridan was paradise, no she was heaven! But being with Beth is hell.
Sam, I could still see her beautiful golden hair that shines like the sun! I still could imagine she was laying with me on that beach! Beth is good girl but she isn’t Sheridan.”
“You just need time! Beth is a good girl You need to take time to let go and move on.”
Luis grabbed his jacket and leaves the station and Sam’s word echoes in his head.
Meanwhile on the airplane…
Sheridan looked over her shoulder and notice Brian asleep with a grin on his face. Sheridan smiled and kissed him. Brian smiles and mumbled
“I love you Sheridan.”
“I love you too!” Sheridan muttered

Chapter 3 Reunited
Suddenly speaker suddenly came on
“Attention Passengers, we will be landing at Harmony International Airport in about five minutes. Please buckle up.”
Sheridan sigh in excitement, she looked over at Brian and shook him awake.
“Sheridan, are we there?”
“Yea, we are about to land, so buckle up.”
Sheridan shifted uncomfortably in her seat and looked at the spec lights of Harmony. She was finally home. A bump reverberates through the plane made Sheridan shake with excitement. She was returning to a place that might hold a key to her past. She quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and shot out of her seat and walks out of the plane with Brian holding her hand.
Luis’s Home
Luis stood in the window of his home office. This was the new house, the one he was supposed to be sharing with Sheridan. He didn’t know why he chose to keep the house. Maybe he wanted to hold on to whatever of Sheridan he still had. He reasoned. Nobody knew he still had the house, that he comes here to avoid life when the pain was so unbearable that he needed a place to protect himself.
He looked out the window and he could see the ocean.
“Sheridan loved the sea.” he said absently
He walked downstairs to the kitchen, he looked around, this was Sheridan’s dream kitchen. The kitchen was practically marble and oak with the exception of the cabinet doors. The whole kitchen was done in pale green marble. The island was designed by Sheridan herself. Luis sighed and opened the back door where it reveals an huge backyard and directly behind it was the ocean.
It was beautiful, he thought. He didn’t appreciate the beauty of it until now. He walked towards the ocean and looked at the night sky where it reveals the night filled with twinkling stars. Damn, he thought Sheridan would have loved the view here. He hated the pain, he hated everything that came along with losing Sheridan. She would have tried to help with his baby sister, Theresa; Theresa wouldn’t be Mrs. Julian Crane, she would have been Mrs. Ethan Winthrop. Damn, that day, he thought. Damn it to hell. Sighing heavily he walked to back to the porch. He looked back once more and made a silent wish Sheridan will come back to him. Sadly he walked back into the house.
Harmony Airport
Sheridan waited for the rental that Brian was bring around. She thought about where can she find the key to her past? Maybe someone here knows her. The Jeep was came to a halt and Brian’s hand on hers jarred her from the deep thought that penetrated her mind.
“Hey, what were you thinking about?”
“Nothing, just thinking about us!” Sheridan lied
The drive to Brian’s family’s house was a silent one, neither one knew what to say to each other. Sheridan began to remember portions and portions of her life. By the time they reached Brian’s family house her memory was about 40% completely returned. Brian and Sheridan walk to the house and Sheridan gave him a reassuring smile. Brian took a long deep breath and knocked the door to the house. When the door opened, Sheridan gasped at the person at the door.
Pilar was shocked to see her first born son at her door. She muttered a prayer in Spanish before hugging Brian.
“Dios Mio, my son has finally came back!” Pilar cried joyfully
“There is someone I would like you to meet mama. Sheridan, I would like you to meet Sheridan.
“DIOS MIO Sheridan you’re alive! Luis would sooooooo overjoyed.
Luis, Sheridan’s mind raced and the memories flooded back and she cried
“Pilar, where’s Luis?”
“I don’t know, he always disappears to somewhere and comes back early in the morning.” Pilar explained
Sheridan’s face fell at that. Then the reality of Brian’s identity hit her full force.
“Wait Brian, your Pilar’s MIA son? That means your…
“Yes, I am Antonio Lopez Fitzgerald.” Antonio confessed
“Why did you lie to me?” Sheridan demanded
“I can’t tell you now, but I will tell you later.” Antonio promised
Sheridan attention focused back to Pilar and Luis
“Pilar, are you sure you don’t know where he is? Maybe he’s at work?”
“No, Sheridan he don’t work past seven anymore. Why don’t you stay here and wait for him?”
“I have nowhere else to go. So alright.”
Antonio decided he was ignored long enough and spoke up
“Sheridan, what is your relationship to my brother? What is your relationship to my family?”
“I am your brother’s fiancée!” Sheridan whispered quietly
“My Brother’s fiancée? Shit! I can’t believe this; you and I are meant to be together!” Antonio reasoned
“I thought we were meant to be together, but now that my memory came back, Luis and I are meant to be together!” Sheridan argued
In the mist of the confrontation between Sheridan and Antonio, Luis slipped back to the house and he almost succeeds in sneaking in, had he not heard that… voice. He froze. He knew that voice. The voice he missed for how long. Luis turned his head and his eyes landed on Sheridan
Sheridan was arguing with Antonio; that man was delusional, if he thinks she would stay with him now that she found Luis. Sheridan rolled her eyes and her eyes looked over his shoulder and her eyes connected with those of Luis Lopez Fitzgerald, her first and only true love. Her heart jumped and she pushed Antonio aside and ran up to Luis.
“Sheridan? Is this real? Or am I dreaming this fantasy up again?” Luis cried disbelievingly
“Yes Luis, I am here and this isn’t fantasy. This is real. I’m home.”
Luis and Sheridan hugged and held on to each other like tomorrow was their last days on earth.
Luis cupped his hand on her cheek and his lips softly captured hers and their kiss exploded as their passion unfolded; It was obvious to everyone that two souls mate were reunited, everyone except Antonio whose eyes darkened and pure hate was painted across his face. Antonio wasn’t going to let this stand. Not if he could help it. He’ll be damned to lose to Luis again.

Chapter 4 Sibling Rivalry
Luis and Sheridan’s beach house
Luis eyes slowly opened to the morning sun and he remembered that his beloved Sheridan was back with and he was so happy that finally after all the months he had to endure with the pain of losing her was worth it to have her back in his arms and his life. Sheridan stirred next to him and he smiled, Sheridan woke up and looked into her fiancée’s eyes. She loved him so much. Luis propped on his elbows and gave her his thousand watts smile.
“Luis, it’s so wonderful to be back.” Sheridan sighed contently
“Well, why don’t we spend the day…get reacquainted with each other.” Luis wiggled his eye brow suggestively
“Luis, I would love that but you know that we promised your family we would meet them for breakfast and it’s already 9:45! Maybe if you’re good today, your will get your reward.” Sheridan said seductively
“Sheridan, don’t tempt me, because I don’t think I can handle it.” Luis groaned
Later
Sheridan and Luis drove along Coast Road in his Acura SUV. He kept looking at Sheridan and she kept looking at him. Love was apparent between them, no words needed to be said to express their feelings. It seems like seconds later to them that they arrive at Pilar’s house. When they got of the car, they were smiling from ear to ear. Luis pressed the doorbell and Ethan opened the door.
“Aunt Sheridan? You’re alive?” Ethan cried disbelievingly
“Yes, Ethan!” Sheridan cried happily
They hugged, and they both walked in. Antonio was coming down when he saw Sheridan and Luis. He was mentally beating himself for not telling Luis about Sheridan and him. Luis deserves to know the truth. He was tired of coming in seconds to his younger brother and now revenge was in order, and he knew how to get the ball rolling.
“Luis, Sheridan I’m so glad you made it.” Antonio greeted with as much enthusiasm as he could
“Antonio, same here, look I am glad you finally came back after all these years, but don’t think I am just going to welcome you back with open arms or forgive you. You have to a lot to prove to me.” Luis spat
Sheridan could see it was getting heated and she knew she needed to defuse the situation before it got ugly.
“Luis, Antonio today is supposed to be a happy occasion. Just let it go for now, you two need to work it out… slowly.”
“All right for today.” both of them replied in unison
Pilar came into the living room and smile,
“Sheridan, Luis you made it. Sheridan you have to tell us about your adventure later, Luis can I see you in the kitchen.”
Antonio smiled at his opportunity and he sat down next Sheridan on the sofa
“Sheridan, I see you haven’t told Luis about you and me.
“Look Antonio, I haven’t and I don’t think it’s any of your business if I do.” Sheridan explained
“So you think if you can keep the truth from him? What do you think he would do if he found about you and me?”
“Antonio, what’s your obsession about me telling Luis about us?” Sheridan asked
“Well, the bottom line is here is that if you keep the truth from him any longer, you will eventually lose his respect, then his love. Then see what you will do with yourself when your all alone.”
Sheridan head began to feel light headed and she went into the den.
Antonio smirked, part one of his plan worked. Soon Sheridan will be his again.
Later that month
Luis, Sheridan, Charity, Miguel, Ethan, Gwen, Theresa, Antonio, and Pilar sat in the living room just talking when Antonio cleared his throat.
“Hey Luis, Ethan why don’t we go out to enjoy some drinks at the pub?”
“Sure, Sheridan is that ok?” Luis asked
“Yea, I’ll drive home later.”
“Uh Sheridan, you don’t mind if you drive my darling Gwen home later?”
“Sure, and Ethan don’t worry.” Sheridan teased
“I won’t cause she is in good hands.”
Pub
The trio was joking and drinking. They were discussing the Bucs and The Raiders
“Nah, my team the Bucs will kick your raider’s butts.” Antonio joked
“The Raiders will beat the Bucs hand down.” Ethan and Luis joked
“Well want to put your money down on this?” Antonio asked while taking a swig of his frosty beer.
“Well how much you want to put down?” Luis asked
“How does $300 hundred big ones sound?” Antonio asked
“Yea, I’m in” Ethan and Luis said in unison
Ethan looked at his watch and decided he needed to be home.
“Guys, I have to call this a night. It’s late and I have a meeting tomorrow.”
“Ok, I’ll see you tomorrow for the game.” Luis replied
“And I’ll see you tomorrow when I collect my money” Antonio joked
Antonio watches Ethan walk out and turned back to Luis
“Hey Antonio want to walk along the pier?” Luis asked
Luis and Antonio pad their tab and they walked along they pier. Luis had come to accept Antonio but had not completely forgiven him.
“Hey Luis I want to tell you something. But I don’t where to start.”
“Well, just say it.”
”Well, Sheridan was my girlfriend on the island when she had amnesia and she and I were almost engaged.” Antonio poured out.
Luis sat there stunned beyond words, he was so furious. He turned to Antonio
“What did you just say?” Luis gritted
“I just told you the truth.” Antonio replied innocently
“Why didn’t she tell me?” Luis questioned as he turned to ocean
“I don’t know, but you’ll never find out” Antonio smiled evilly
“What?” Luis cried as if his ears betrayed him
Antonio reached for his gun and turned the safety off. Luis turned around and saw Antonio
“Toni…
Antonio fired two shots into his baby brother before he could say anything, and watched him fall into the ground
Antonio smiled and watch the blood fall out of his brother.

Chapter 5 Time for the Truth:
Hank and his fiancée, Melissa walked along the pier when they both heard loud bangs that sounded a lot like gun shots being fired.
“Melissa, stay here! I’ll go see what’s going on. I’ll shout for you when it’s clear.” Hank ordered
“Hon, please be careful!” Melissa begged
“Don’t worry your looking at Harmony’s Finest. I promise you nothing will happen.” Hank promised
Hank kissed Melissa and he ran off in the direction of the gun shot. He saw a figure standing over a body, and he clearly saw an outline of a gun, so Hank drew his from his ankle.
“Hey freeze!” Hank commanded pointed the gun at the figure
The figure ran off in the direction of the abandon warehouse. Hank looked at the victim and his breath stopped when he saw who it was,
“Luis?”
Luis was barely breathing and Hank saw that he was shot in the chest twice. He checked for vital signs and he detect a small pulse
“Hey Melissa, its safe! You can come.” Hank shouted
Melissa ran to the sound of Hank’s voice. She reached them and saw Hank kneeling over a body. When she saw the identity, she panicked
“Oh my god, Hank, Its Luis! What happened?” Melissa cried
“I don’t know, but call the hospital and I’ll bring the car over. Stay with Luis.” Hank instructed
“But should someone call Sheridan?” Melissa asked
“Uh, yea, tell Sam to pick her up and have him tell her.” Hank instructed
Hank ran to pick up his Red Jeep Cherokee. He prayed that Luis would make this though; he has too, for Sheridan’s sake
Sheridan and Luis’ house
Sheridan was scanning through the newest Bridal catalog as she waited for Luis’ return. The clock read 11:30 and he wasn’t home yet. The phone ring shook Sheridan, and she reached over to pick it up expecting Luis to be on the other line, but she was in for the shock of her life.
“Hello, Sheridan?” Sam echoed
“Sam? If you’re looking for Luis, he’s out with Ethan and Antonio.”
“No, I’m looking for you… Luis has been shot.”
Sheridan’s voice cracked and her heart skipped a beat.
“Wh…What?” Sheridan breath
“I’m coming to pick you up ok?”
“Y…ye...Yea.” Sheridan stuttered
Well see you in a few.
Sam hung up and Sheridan grabbed her coat and her purse and stood outside and waited for Sam’s car. Sam’s Ford Explorer came into view and Sheridan got in. Through the whole ride, it was tense and Sam knew that Sheridan was on edge and he didn’t want to set her off. So he held Sheridan hand,
“Hey, Sheridan he’s going to be alright! He’s strong and stubborn, he will make it.” Sam reassured
“Yea Sam. Have you told your wife and kids yet?” Sheridan asked trying to make conversation
“Yea, Grace is driving Pilar and everybody else.” Sam answered
Sam drove into the hospital parking lot and they ran into the hospital. Sheridan ran to the front desk in record speed and knocked over several nurse and a doctor. When she reached the desk she was practically out of breath.
“Is Luis Lopez Fitzgerald out of surgery yet?” She gasped
The nurse that sat at the front desk gave Sheridan the once over and popped the gum she was chewing. Rolling her eyes, she replied in a flat, cocky tone,
“Are the victim’s wife?” the nurse asked
“No, I am his fiancée, just answer my question!” Sheridan gritted out
“No, he isn’t but Dr. Russell will notify you of his condition. Anyway” the nurse answered annoyed
“I don’t need your attitude right now and I will have your job with a snap of a finger.” Sheridan growled
“And who are you?” the nurse snapped getting right into her face and popping the gum in her face. Sheridan saw red and she grabbed the nurse’s uniform collar and got in her face.
“My name is Sheridan CRANE! So if you want to keep your job, go do YOUR job!” Sheridan threatened
The nurse seems clearly shaken by then, and ran into the ER to find information on Luis. Sheridan sighs and walked to the waiting area and sat down for ten minutes when she turned around and saw Pilar, Theresa, Miguel, Charity, Ethan, and Grace came in. Antonio was nowhere in sight. Sheridan finally broke down and began to cry. They hugged Sheridan and they were consoling Sheridan.
“Auntie Sheridan, what happened? I mean we were together a few hours earlier.” Ethan asked
“Ethan, Luis was shot and I don’t know what happened! Where were you when this happened?” Sheridan asked through teary eyes
“I left; I had to prepare for the Anderson Meeting. He was kinda of drunk when I left. Ethan replied rather intrigued “And speaking of the jackass.” Ethan muttered
Sheridan looked at the direction at which Ethan was looking at.
Antonio came in with a stride and he earned a glare from Pilar.
“Hijo, where were you? How could this happen?” Pilar integrated
Antonio felt the heat but he kept a straight face and explained
“I went to bring the car around the pub, but he was gone and I drove around and I couldn’t find him. So I got home and found the message.” Antonio explained.
“Well you have any idea what type of person would want to kill Luis?” Pilar asked
“No, mama but it was probably random.” Antonio smirked
Sheridan eyed Antonio, something wasn’t adding up, but she had more important things at hand. Sheridan and Luis’ family sat there waiting for news.
One Hour Later
Sheridan got up to go to the Hospital chapel; everyone except Pilar, and Antonio left she couldn’t stand to wait any longer for news. Antonio eyed her leaving the emergency room, and looked to make sure his mother was asleep, and then silently followed Sheridan. Pilar woke up to find Antonio and Sheridan gone. She wondered where they could have gone. Pilar couldn’t help but feel that her family will be torn apart.
Chapel
Sheridan looked inside the church to see candles lit everywhere. Sheridan went to the alter and kneel and clasped her hands together and began to pray.
“God, I know that you can hear me now. Please don’t take Luis away from his family and from me. We just found each other. Please don’t take him now! I love him more than life, I have never loved a man like I love Luis, and He’s my whole life” Sheridan pleaded
Antonio saw and heard red. How dare Sheridan toss him out like yesterday trash! Antonio decides to play a little game with Sheridan. He pushed the heavy door and walked behind Sheridan. He lowered his head to her ears, and whispered
“Sheridan, you know what, my car is right outside, just say the word and I could sneak you out” Antonio teased
“Stay the hell away from me! I wished I never met you! I regret my time with you. I can’t how you are acting! Your brother is in there fighting for his life and all you could think about is getting me into your bed, which is never going to happen.” Sheridan growled, rising up to meet Antonio eyes
“Ouch, that hurt Sheridan. Antonio pointed to his heart. Come on, we both know you want me! Just give in. Luis would never know.” Antonio persuaded Antonio leaned his lips to Sheridan’s, but Sheridan raised her hands and slapped Antonio
“I would never betray Luis like that again. You pompous ass. You will regret the day you messed with A CRANE, and you know what Luis loves only me and I love only Luis. ” Sheridan smirked
Antonio couldn’t take the words that Sheridan was dishing out. His eyes turned into stone and then walked out. Sheridan turned her head to the alter
She thought back the time she and Antonio were involved and she regret every second of it. “Please let don’t let my mistakes of my past break me and Luis up.” Sheridan prayed
Sheridan lit a candle for Luis and walked out the chapel hoping that news on Luis would be available.
Emergency Room
Dr. Eve Russell was removing the bullets from Luis’s stomach. One of the bullets shattered in Luis’ stomach. Eve finally removed the final fragment and she dropped the fragments on the plate and she sealed the wound. She checked his signs and gave the ok to have him sent to his room.
Emergency Room waiting room
Sheridan was walking to the emergency room waiting area when she saw Pilar making the signs of the cross and muttering words in Spanish. Sheridan heart jumped into her stomach. Did something happen to Luis? Sheridan rushed over to Pilar.
“Pilar, what happened? Did Luis come out of surgery?” Sheridan asked, her voice apparent with panicking
“No, Sheridan I was praying for Luis. I can’t lose Luis now that Antonio has come back.” Pilar cried
Sheridan was consoling Pilar when Eve stepped out and the look on her face was very troublesome to Sheridan and Pilar.
“Eve how is Luis?” Sheridan asked
“Well to put in laments term, we were able to remove the two bullets with success and the addition bullet from a previous gunshot wound.” Eve explained
“What previous wound.” Sheridan asked confused
“Well when you were supposedly dead, Luis was shot during a hostage situation but we remove all except particular one, but he survives and this gunshot wound caused the other bullet to pop back out.”
“So can we go see him?” Sheridan asked hopefully Eve’s expression looked happy
“Yes, you can. He should be awake. But only one person in there in a time, I don’t want him to get excited. If you excuse me I have another patient to check on.”
Sheridan looked at Pilar and she nodded
“You should go see him, he would be anxious to see you.” Pilar encouraged
Sheridan ran all the way to his room and she knocked over a doctor. She ran into his room to see a surprised and an angry Luis.
“GET OUT!!” Luis yelled
Sheridan was taken back at Luis’s words.
“Luis, did something happened?” Sheridan stuttered
“You got that right. You lying bitch! I can’t believe that you lied to me! I thought you trusted me and in our love! But I guess I was wrong, you’re just like the rest of your family, evil and soulless.” Luis gritted
Luis had no idea how his words hurt Sheridan, Sheridan stared at him and her knees were going to give out, the walls were closing in and she knew that if she didn’t get out soon, she would go insane, She ran out and smacked into Pilar.
“Mija, what ‘s wrong? Did something happened to Luis?” Pilar asked worried
“No, he’s awake and fine. But…But…he.” Sheridan blubbered
“No, mija, you go home and rest, let me talk to him.” Pilar instructed

Chapter 6 GONE
Pilar walked into Luis and saw her son was alive and made a silent prayer to god for saving her son’s life. She looked at her son and knew that something wasn’t right.
“Luis, son you’re awake.” Pilar cried happily
“Yea, mama I am awake.” Luis replied indifferent
“Luis, is there something wrong?” Pilar asked concerned
“Mama, how do you see Sheridan?”
“Luis, I love her like my own daughter. She is loving, compassionate and puts everyone ahead of herself.” Pilar beamed
“Well, you won’t like what I am going to tell you then.” Luis grumbled
“What Hijo? What could Sheridan could have done to cause you to made her so upset.”
”I regret what I said, but I found out about Sheridan’s infidelity and that will cause any person to snap” Luis growled
“What are you talking about?” Pilar asked confused
“Well, Antonio told me of his and Sheridan’s relationship when she lived in St. Lisa. Mama, I am her fiancé, and she knew she could tell me anything, but she lied to me, mama and she was unfaithful to me.” Luis cried for the first time since this whole incident happened
“Son, you fail to count that Sheridan had amnesia and couldn’t remember anything. Maybe the relationship didn’t mean anything to her once her full memory came back, and she remembered her undying love for you.”
Luis sat there and his mother’s theory made sense. But something still nagged at him
“Then why didn’t she tell me about, be opened and honest about it. I wouldn’t be harsh on her if she told me sooner.” Luis argued
“Luis, she probably didn’t want to hurt the relationship or she was waiting for a perfect opportunity to tell you, plus, Luis have you heard of the phase “a taste of your own medicine.” Pilar reprimanded
“Well, yea but…” He was cut off by Pilar
“Well you didn’t tell her about your brief relationship with Beth. You’re sentencing her for a crime that you indeed committed yourself.”
“Well, mama our very SHORT relationship was my poor judgment and my pitiful attempt to move on with my life… without Sheridan.”
“But Luis how dare you penalize her for trying to do the same thing you tried. Attempting to move on without each other.”
Luis sat there and everything made sense, god how he felt like an ass for yelling at Sheridan. His eyes turned hopeful.
“Mama, where’s Sheridan?”
“I sent her home to get some rest. But I’ll call her. You try to get some rest before Sheridan gets here.”
“I will mama.” Luis yawned.
Luis slowly fell asleep, but before he did, he murmured seven words
“Tell her mama, that I love her.”
Pilar smiled and she walked out to the lobby to call, because there were no phones on the his floor. She took the elevator down to the lobby. All the phones were taken but the one by the parking lot door side door.
She dialed the number to their house, 1...2...3...4...5... rings. Pilar found it odd and dialed the cell phone number.
1...2...3...rings. Pilar heard a ringing not too far from the door, infact she swore it was as if it was on the other side of the door. Pilar dropped the phone and followed the sound of the ringing. She opened the door and found a leather Gucci purse with her Nokia ringing Merry Christmas.
Pilar didn’t recognize the purse but the phone was familiar. Pilar pressed the end button and she knew one way to know was this Sheridan’s phone. It should read SHUIS in the main menu; she remembered the day Luis and Sheridan came over to show her.
Flashback (Earlier in the month)
Sheridan and Luis came in to the Lopez Fitzgerald kitchen giggling and laughing.
“What’s so funny?” Pilar teased
“Look at this, Pilar.” Sheridan giggled
“What? Why?” Pilar asked confused
“Just look,” Sheridan trying to stifled another round of the giggles that was coming.
Pilar took the phone and looked perplexed
“SHUIS? What is that supposed mean?”
Sheridan burst out giggling.
“I don’t know! Luis didn’t tell me yet.”
“Well, Sheridan went to pick out a new phone and I was programming it and I thought it was cute put Shuis in. Shuis is a combination of our names. Sh is for the Sh in Sheridan and uis is the last 3 letter in my name. This is a symbol of our union, our name joined together like our mind, body and soul next month.” Luis explain
Sheridan eyes became teary when she heard of Luis professing his love.
“Luis I love and I will never erased it. Never.” Sheridan cried joyfully
End of flashback.
Pilar looked on the phone and sure enough, it read SHUIS. She picked up the purse and ran through it’s things.
She found Sheridan’s wallet in tact, her compact and all her things in there. Pilar became worried when she knew Sheridan would not be so careless with her things. Her heart knew something wasn’t right. She ran into the lobby and dialed a familiar number.
“Hello?” A groggy person on the other answered
“Sam? I need you to come down to the hospital.”
“Why? is something wrong? Is it Luis?” Sam asked worried.
“No, it’s not Luis, it’s Sheridan, I think something happened to her.” Pilar replied panicking
“Ok, I’ll be there in a few.” Sam told Pilar
Pilar hung up and that nagging voice in the back of her head became more increased.”
Ten minutes later
Sam ran into the hospital entrance and saw Pilar.
“Pilar. ok tell me what happened”
She told him from Luis waking up from the surgery to her finding Sheridan’s purse
Sam’s expression became worried when he knew cabs don’t operated between the hours of 3-7 in the morning for the lack of demand for during those times, and Sheridan left during 6.
“Pilar you found this in that door?” Sam asked pointing to the door and the purse Pilar nodded and Sam ran to the hospital security staff and requested a security tape of earlier that morning from the side entrance of the hospital.
Sam watched the tape from 4:30-6:45 A.M. during those times to see did he see something unusual.
five minutes later.
Sam pressed the fast forward button when the screen started to be fuzzy and he saw Sheridan. She turned her head back to the hospital door and a black SUV drove up and honked, clearly startling Sheridan, causing her to drop her purse. Sam paid close attention to that person in the car. The video played the heated argument Sheridan had with the driver. Sam looked closer and she fainted. The driver jumped out and caught her in time and for that minute his face connected with the camera.
Sam pressed the close up to the snap shot of the kidnapper, and Sam’s blood ran cold when he saw the face of the perpetrator. Sam reached into his walkie talkie and requested someone come take Luis’ statement about the shooting while he gets to the bottom of the investigation.
Luis was awake and there was a knock at the door and there was a police officer.
“Hey, Bill How’s it going?” Luis greeted
“Good, listen I want to ask you some question about last night’ shooting.”
“Go ahead.” Luis invited
“Did you see your attempted killer?”
“Yea!” Luis replied angrily
“And who was the shooter?” Bill asked carefully
“It...was...ANTONIO.” Luis revealed
Pilar stepped in to hear Luis revelation of his killer.
“What? No, Antonio would never do that!” Pilar cried with conviction
“Mama, it was Antonio who told me about him and Sheridan... before he shot me.” Luis revealed
Pilar’s face became slightly pink and she walked out to the room to find Sam.
Security Room
Sam reviewed the tape and he sighed. He knew this would ruin the Lopez Fitzgerald family. Pilar knocked on the door and her expression clearly shows distress.
”Sam, Luis said that Antonio shot him and I don’t believe, so can you clear his name?” Pilar asked hopefully.
“Um, Pilar there something you have to see.” Sam informed.
Sam pressed the play button and Pilar gasped.
“No, Antonio would never do that, that wasn’t Antonio.” Pilar cried
“Yes it was. You heard Sheridan cried to Antonio to get away from her. Antonio has kidnapped Sheridan and he shot Luis hoping to kill him. Now possibly he might have Sheridan and she could be in danger. I am sorry but I will have to order a warrant for his arrest.”
“I don’t believe, it and I will call him to prove it.”
Pilar stormed out of the room.
Sam felt bad that he had to tell Pilar about this. Sam sighed and called the judge to obtain a warrant for his arrest.
Somewhere else...
Sheridan woke up and looked around. Where the hell was she? The room was a small one and was not lit and the only source of light was from the dust filled windows. Sheridan got up and looked around. All there was were trees. She recalled the last thing that happened was her argument with Antonio and the rest was a blur. Sheridan saw a door and she tried it. It was jammed shut. Sheridan then realized that she was trapped here. Sheridan began to hyperventilate. Then a familiar ringing of Mozart no. 40 cause Sheridan to look at a night stand next to her bed. She pulled the draw open and inside were filled with pictures of her and Luis, but Luis’ head were cut off and in it’s place was Antonio. Several of them were her head cut off and in her place was... Beth? This was getting to strange for her. Sheridan dug through the stack and found the phone. She flipped it opened and pressed the send button.
“Hello?”
“Sheridan? Where are you?” Pilar asked
“I don’t know, but who ever took me here is obviously crazy.” Sheridan explained
“Sheridan is Antonio with you?”
“I don’t...
Sheridan never finished her sentence because she was knocked out.
