Hot & Spicy Wings

For a super appetizer or just plain snacking these wings will have you flying high!

12 chicken wings(about 2 pounds)

Cooking oil for deep-fat frying

3 tablespoons margarine or butter

1-2 ounce bottle of hot pepper sauce(1/4 cup)

Fry wing pieces, a few at the time, in deep hot oil(375 degrees) for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and no longer pink. Drain on paper towel. Keep pieces warm in oven while frying remaining pieces, then transfer to a serving dish when all is cooked.

In a saucepan, melt butter. Sir in hot pepper sauce. Pour over wings, turning to coat.

Dipping sauce: mix together in small bowl, sour cream, mayonaise, basil, parsley & milk. Garnish with frest basil and serve with wings

Bandana Bread

This one here is Ike's favorite and everytime Jimmy cooks it, Ike doesn't tease him for weeks!

1 3/4 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder(not gun powder mind you)

3/4 Teaspoon salt

3/4 cup sugar

1 egg beaten

1 cup bannanas mashed

1/2 cup milk

Sift first five ingredients. combine egg, bannanas and milk. Stir into dry ingredients just until blended. pour into a buttered loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees (or leave it out in the sun on a Texas afternoon.) Baking time 50 minutes depending on oven (results will differ when cooked over a camppfire with a can of beans.) Remove pan and let cool on wire rack. This is a great recipe because I screw baking up easy.. and this has never turned out badly! Even Cody would get it right!. I add sprinklings of cinnamon and sugar to the top and it forms a nice crust. Enjoy!
