Fan of the Month

July 2002

This month's fan is a Codypendant through and through. Not only is she the co-webmistress of a site dedicated to Cody, she has a few other sites as well. She has been doing the updates list for quite some time now. She is an avid history buff and has been with the fandom since 2000. She is a busy lady!!! Our fan of the month is none other than Nici.

Nici & Will

1. What is your name or TYR name?

My real name is Nicole but almost everybody calls me Nici.

2. How old will you be on your next birthday-include the date if you want?

I'll be 21 September 9.

3. Tell us a little about your childhood.

I grew up in a tiny little town in Northeasten Arkansas named Piggott (pronounced pig-get). I remember when my sister and I were young we would watch TYR eps and then pretend to be the characters. We always fought over who was going to be Lou and get to date Kid. Amanda usually won the arguement so I would pretend to be a saloon girl and date Cody or Jimmmy. We also used to turn our backyard into an obstacle course and play American Gladiators. My mom always encouraged us to read and we would go to the liibrary at least twice a week.

4. Are you married, have children?

Yes, My husband Will and I will have been married three years in December. no kids, but I have a dog who thinks she's a kid does that count?

5. What do you wanna be when you grow up?

Prosecuting Attorney, preferably a district attorney. I'm currently working on my Bachelors in Criminal Justice.

6. What really annoys you the most?

Rudeness. Specifically when someone thinks that because you are female that means you are stupid, or people who think that Southern people are all idiots and hillbillies.

7. Who are your fave characters and why?

Cody and Ambrose Merrywhether.Cody because I've always liked the real Cody and the character just made him that much more intersting.Ambrose because he was just so cute. He was kinda like a little puppy at first and eventually he evolved into a big dog.

8. When did you find the TYR sites on the web and start visiting them regularly?

August 2000, I saw a listing for TYR in the tv guide and decided to scronge around and see what I could find.

9. Who was the first person that you had contact with from TYR land?

I'm not sure. I remember stumbling on to Ann's site the Lair and finding a link to a message board and talking to people there.

10. Do you have a site or share a site with someone?

Yes, I have two TYR sites and another TV site. None of which have been updated lately (I'm working on it though)The SageBrush Saloon, The Cody for Better Representation Campaign, Prominent Women of Television( this is a mainly non TYR site but it will soon have profiles of some of TYR's female acctresses.)

11. If you could be one character from the show(guest stars included)who would it be?

Daisy, that kid got away with so much. She was the kid I always wanted to be when I was a kid.

12. Which ep is your fave and least fave and why?

My all time favorite was Road not Taken - I love how Cody's cockiness comes back to get him. I'm also quite fond of Bulldog -I just loved Ambrose, and Initiation- Those three old men crack me up.My least favorite episodes were Requim for a Hero, and Judgement Day- I cry everytime I see these two episodes. However, I realy like the part in Judgement day when Barnett tries to marry Millie. I also really don't like Bad Company- I hate how destructive Jimmy gets after he accidently shoots that woman.

13. If you could meet one person-dead or alive-who would that be and why?

William F. Cody and James Butler Hickok. I'd just want to ask them if all the myths were true.

14. If you had five minutes on national TV to discuss any subject-what would it be and why?

I would probably tell everyone to lighten up a little and quite being so serious. Have fun and enjoy life, take time to enjoy the things you have as opposed to whining about the things you don't.
