Kid's Section

Being the dedicated Kidette that I am, there is nothing bad I can say about him. He is, by far, the best of the riders. Let me recap what we all know. Kid joined the Pony Express because he "needed the work." Kid grew up in Virginia and in a later episode, we learn that his father used to beat him, his mother and his brother. After his mother died, Kid felt the need to get out of Virginia. So he got some money from a friend (Horitha)to pay off the family's debts and headed out west. In his travels, he found a horse. One that was meant to be his. The only problem was he didn't have any money. Luckily, or unluckily however you look at it, there was a contest where you could win $30. The only problem was you had to stay standing up in the ring with a professional fighter. Kid made it through the fight on his feet at the end and bought his horse, Katy. Kid was on a ride when he saw one of the others who'd been shot. He picked Lou up, carried "him" up, and took him in the cabin to take care of his wound. Little did he know, he was in for a big surprise. After finding out Lou wasn't a boy, the two tried to begin a relationship. Kid found himself becoming very overprotective of Lou, which she didn't appreciate. After their special night in Redfern, his protectiveness got worse and started pushing Lou away. Eventually, Lou turned to Jimmy for advice which made Kid very jealous. He proposed to her, but she turned him down (why I will never know? hehe)and they split up. Kid attached himself to the first skirt that caught his eye and we were forced to watch him with Scumantha for an entire episode, while Lou was off with Jimmy. Kid and Lou slowly got back together and, in a cemetary in Davenport, Kid proposed again. This time with a much happier ending. In the series finale, the two married and we can only hope they lived happily ever after. After writing all this...I'm in the mood for a good Kid ep! :) Picture courtesy of Kidnation(Thanks Aimee!)
