Characters

Max Evans - Aged 25

Partner in the Firm.  Hotshot lawyer, deals with multi-national company litigation.  His parents part own the business with Max and Isabelle.  Mild mannered, keeps himself to himself.  Likes Liz, but because she his secretary he tries to keep his distance.  When Liz starts dating Robin he doesn't like it, Max doesn't trust Robin.  Hasn’t had a girlfriend in over a year, since splitting from his long time girlfriend Tess.  

Isabelle Evans - Aged 25

Partner in the Firm.  Younger twin sister of Max.  Tough lawyer, takes no stick from anyone, very ‘ice princess’ style, frosty personality, thinks no one is good enough for her.  Dedicated to her job, doesn’t want anything that will mess with it.  Thinks Alex’s crush on her is cute but nothing more.  Has a rich boyfriend who she doesn’t really love but enjoys going to celebrity parties with.

Michael Guerin - Aged 25

Another hotshot lawyer, deals mainly with personal law, messy divorces etc.  Very cocky, likes to think he owns the office, something of a loner apart from friends Max and Isabelle.  Met Max at Law School and became friends, Max's family see him as their second son.  Maria annoys him, he finds her brash and always willing to get his back up.  Secretly though, he really likes her but is afraid to admit his feelings.

Liz Parker - Aged 21

Newest recruit to the office, Liz is Max, Isabelle’s and Michael’s secretary.  Very quiet, shy, meticulous in her work.  She likes working for Max, she thinks he is a nice guy and a great boss.  Befriended by Robin, thinks he is really sweet, but she is mesmerised by the affection he shows her.  But  Liz is naive and ends up getting hurt.  .

Maria DeLuca - Aged 22

The office junior secretary.  Does a lot of the junior administrative work in the office.  Best friends with Alex, and then takes Liz under her wing when she joins the company.  Very out going, has a wacky sense of humour and likes to be centre of attention.  Secretly likes Michael, but pretends to hate him since she believes he doesn't like her.

Alex Whitman - Aged 24

The junior lawyer of the firm.  Is prepared to do anything to please Max, Michael and especially Isabelle who he has a major crush on.  Thinks Isabelle is perfection itself, although knows she is most certainly out of his reach.  General ‘dogsbody’, but he doesn’t care, whiz on computers.

Philip and Diane Evans - Aged 50 and 49

They build the business up from scratch, and since making Max and Isabelle partners they don't do much litigation, only keeping a few clients for themselves.  Both are very proud of everything their children have achieved, and long to see Max and Isabelle happy in love also. 

Robin Ward - Aged 24

Another junior lawyer, but has been there longer than Alex.  A good worker but very much a jack-the-lad, dating a different woman each week.  Falls for Liz as soon as he sees her, makes it his mission to get her into bed.

Sally Wright - Aged 19

General Office Secretary.  Does jobs for everyone, and helps Liz out when necessary.  Has a crush on Robin, but he’s too interested wooing Liz to notice.  Slightly an outsider in the office, doesn't really fit in.
