Melissa Sue Anderson
as
Mary Ingalls

Melissa Sue Anderson was born on September 26th, 1961 in Berkeley, California. Many actresses are not like the characters they play, but Melissa Sue Anderson wasn't one of them. In real life she was very much the same as Mary Ingalls. Her dance teacher encouraged MSA's Mom to get her into acting. So she began auditioning in Hollywood for small television roles. In 1973, she was cast as Millicent in an episode of "The Brady Bunch" entitled "Never Too Young." Now known professionally as the girl who gave Bobby his first on-screen kiss. At 12 years old, Melissa Sue Anderson auditioned for Michael Landon. Luckily, she got the part of Mary Ingalls. Today, she is still acting a little, as seen in her role in "Earthquake in New York." She married Michael Sloan in 1990, and has a son and daughter.
