Whose Line In La-La Land
What is the fondest dream of a fan of the show Whose Line Is It Anyway?
No.
Now get your mind out of the gutter, and try again. That's better. Most fans dream of the chance to attend a taping of the show in person. In September 2001, I had the chance to live that dream. I flew west to the Dream Factory also known as La-La Land also known as Los Angeles, California, to meet with friends — some that I had met early in January when we attended the Improv All-Stars' Superbowl shows in Las Vegas, others that I knew only through the internet but friends just the same — to attend three separate tapings of Whose Line Is It Anyway?
This is a journal of my trip. Not just of the tapings, but of all the adventures of those four heady days. I should warn you that I will be talking about Whose Line Is It Anyway? games that might not have aired yet. So if you don't like episode spoilers, this is probably not the best site for you. But if you don't mind spoilers and would like to know what my trip was like, read on. You can either read each chapter sequentially like a book or use the Table of Contents below to jump to specific chapters. Your choice.
I hope you enjoy your virtual journey. I certainly loved my real one.
