“Coffee. Big one,” Lorelai groaned, walking into the diner. She shook
the snow off her coat and sat at the counter.
“Couldn’t you have done that outside?” Luke asked, pointing at the
snow that was rapidly melting on his floor. “Someone could have an accident.
And why are you only talking in monosyllables this morning? Usually I have
to ask you to marry me to shut you up.”
“Wow, look who’s grumpy this morning. And what’s the matter with a
bit of water? If you were that worried, you would have gotten rid of all
the ice outside on your step. It’s a hazard.”
“You sound like Taylor,” Luke told her, pouring out the coffee.
“Thanks a lot,” she replied, taking a sip.
Luke watched her for a few moments then smiled slightly as her face
lit up.
“Ahh, Luke, your coffee is truly the best in the world. You should
market it.”
“You know, you say that every time you drink my coffee.”
“Well, if you don’t like my compliment…” Lorelai told him.
“I do,” Luke said quickly. “Never mind.”
Lorelai looked at him oddly and shrugged taking another sip.
“So, why the need for a big coffee today? Anything bad happen?” he
asked, wiping down the counter.
Lorelai lifted her mug so he could wipe her space. “Not really. Sookie
and Jackson had a fight so I was listening to her all morning, Michel is
being his usual insufferable self and Rory is being sickly sweet with Dean.
Oh and my parents want Rory to stay with them for the weekend.”
“So that’s the problem,” Luke nodded.
“No problem at all. I am perfectly okay with it,” Lorelai said stubbornly.
“You’re jealous,” Luke informed her.
“Ready to kill them all. I’m four years old again, Luke.”
“I could have told you that without you telling me what your day’s
been like,” he said. Realising how harsh that had been, he looked at her.
“Sorry. I didn’t mean it like that. I think you’re an amazing person Lorelai
and I’m glad to know you.”
Lorelai sent him another odd look. She stood up in her seat and looked
over the counter.
“What?” Luke asked her.
“Well, you’re being uncharacteristically nice to me today. I was just
making sure you weren’t sipping or sniffing something on the side.”
Luke looked hurt and Lorelai felt awful.
“I’m sorry Luke. I guess I just feel all weird because Mum and Dad
want Rory for the whole weekend.”
“Don’t worry about it,” Luke smiled.
Lorelai smiled back at him, her eyes sparkling. She put on her coat.
“Well, I better get going. Must help Rory pack for her exciting weekend.”
“Have fun,” Luke answered, watching her go.
It happened in an instant. One minute, Lorelai was making her way out
of the diner, the next she was flat on her back on the pavement, moaning.
“Lorelai!” Luke cried, hightailing it out to her. He skidded to a stop
and knelt beside her. He snatched his coat off and put it under her head.
“What happened?”
“The ice did not agree with the fact that these boots were made for
walking,” she groaned. “Ow…man.”
“We need to get you to a hospital.”
“I do not need to go to a hospital,” Lorelai told him stubbornly and
tried to sit up. She felt very woozy so she lay down again.
“That’s it, Miss I Know Everything,” Luke replied. He put his arms
under her head and legs and picked her up.
“What are you doing?” Lorelai asked incredulously.
“I’m taking you to the hospital right now,” Luke replied. “I can be
just as stubborn as you.”
“Who’s going to run the diner?” Lorelai asked, desperately trying to
get out of this…although she liked Luke carrying her.
“Caesar is more than capable. Let’s go.”
“Well, Ms Gilmore, you’re very lucky with the injuries you have. It
could have been much more serious.”
“So, is she okay?” Luke asked. Much to Lorelai’s chagrin, he had refused
to leave the examination room the whole time.
“Well, she’s broken her ankle quite badly, and a bit of a bump on her
head, but otherwise she will be fine,” the doctor smiled.
“Great, can I go home now?” Lorelai asked.
The doctor looked grave. “Well, I’d be happy to, but you need someone
there 24 hours a day.”
“I’ll do it,” Luke said quickly.
Lorelai’s head spun around. “You’ll what?”
“Yeah, I’ll look after you. Rory’s busy this weekend and unless you
want to stay with your parents…”
“I am more than capable of taking care of myself,” she said.
“Ms Gilmore,” the doctor began. “Either he takes care of you or you
don’t leave this hospital.”
Lorelai looked grumpily from the doctor, to Luke, and back to the doctor
again. “Oh alright.”
**********************************************
“That is the couch. That is where I go during the day,” Lorelai instructed
Luke, who had once again insisted on carrying her inside.
Luke nodded. “Hey, have you got a mattress?”
“Yeah, under Rory’s bed. Why?”
“No reason,” Luke answered. “If you need me, call.”
“Where are you going?”
“Nowhere.”
“O-okay,” Lorelai said, switching the TV on. “Hey, could you get me
some…”
“Coffee, I got it,” Luke replied.
Lorelai watched him head into the kitchen and decided it was really
disturbing that he hadn’t even stayed one night and already they were finishing
each others sentences.
She was broken from her reverie by Luke handing her a steaming cup
of coffee and the phone.
“I’ll be back down in a minute. Don’t go anywhere.”
“That is one mixed up guy,” Lorelai told herself. The phone began to
ring in her hand. “Don’t worry, I’ll get it,” she called.
“Good,” came the call from upstairs.
She frowned and answered the phone. “Hello?”
“Mum? Are you okay? What happened? I heard you got hurt. Do you want
me to come home?” Rory’s worried voice came over the phone.
“Hi Rory. Yes it’s me. I’m fine. I fell on some ice. I broke my ankle
and bumped my head. You can stay where you are, Luke is here,” Lorelai
answered.
“Luke is there with you?”
A thud came from upstairs.
“Yeah,” Lorelai answered. “Hang on.” She put her hand over the phone.
“Luke? What are you doing to my house?”
“Nothing,” came the grumpy answer.
She shook her head and got back on the phone. “I’m fine sweetie, really.
Luke is staying with me for awhile.”
There was silence on the other end of the phone, as if Rory was contemplating
something. “Okay,” the answer came finally. “But I’ll be home Sunday night,
I promise.”
“I’ll be fine. See you Sunday night then,” Lorelai smiled.
“Yeah. Love you.”
“Right back at you,” Lorelai answered, as they both hung up.
Luke came back downstairs, his cap lightly askew. “That Rory?”
Lorelai nodded. “I told her I was in good hands.” She pointed a finger
at him. “So don’t make me out to be a liar to my own kid, understand?”
“Put the finger away,” Luke told her. “So, what do you want for dinner?”
“Burger?” Lorelai asked sweetly.
Luke shook his head in amusement. “Of course. Lucky I stopped off at
the store on the way here, otherwise you would be eating nothing.”
“Incorrect,” Lorelai told him, making a buzzing noise. “We would have
had pizza.”
“I don’t understand how you survive,” came his voice from the kitchen.
“On your coffee,” Lorelai answered.
She sat in the loungeroom, listening to Luke clattering around in the
kitchen and every so often they would chat. Lorelai realised that she liked
this, having Luke around. She shook that idea from her thoughts when Luke
came in with dinner.
“Aww, you made chilli fries too?” Lorelai smiled at the plate. “I love
you.”
There was an awkward silence in the room for a moment until Luke decided
to break it. “So, what do you want to watch?”
*************************************************
Luke saw Lorelai slowly drifting off and smiled. Picking her up in
his arms, he began to take her upstairs. She snuggled closer and Luke felt
his heart skip.
He laid her down on her bed and then realised something that neither
of them had thought of. He’d have to help her change.
“Uh, Lorelai. We’ve…uh…got to get you changed.”
Lorelai’s eyes were then wide open. “Wh…what?”
Luke shrugged. “I promise I’ll be discreet.”
“Damn straight you’ll be discreet. Because you won’t see anything,”
Lorelai told him firmly. “Just get me my night clothes and I’ll call you
when I’m finished.”
Luke nodded and handed her her top and pants. “I’ll be in the bathroom.”
About fifteen minutes later, when Luke was just starting to get worried,
he could hear an exasperated voice call his name. He dashed into the bedroom
and almost laughed at what he saw.
Lorelai had managed to get her shirt on without too much trouble, although
he could see her breasts right through it, the shirt was that old and worn.
Her pants however, had not had as much success. One leg was on completely,
while the other had not gone up as far. Luke tried to look away from her
gorgeous body.
“Help,” came the desperate plea.
Luke nodded and walked over. He lifted her up easily and helped slide
her pants up. They were in such close proximity that they could hear each
other’s hearts beat.
“Comfortable?” Luke asked softly.
“Extremely,” Lorelai murmured.
His head dipped down and he gently brushed her lips with his. He watched
as her eyes widened, presumably from the electricity that was running around
the room. He bent down to give her another quick kiss, but Lorelai was
having none of that. Her arms went around his neck and pulled him down
to share a long, slow, passionate kiss. She moaned as his tongue entered
her mouth, probing, exploring. They put all their feelings into this one,
drugging kiss; feelings that had been pent up for a very long time.
“OW!” came Lorelai’s cry.
“Oh my God, Lorelai, your ankle, I’m sorry,” Luke began rambling along.
She smiled and pulled his head up to face her. “I’m not. I’ve been
waiting for this for a long time.”
“Really?” Luke grinned.
She kissed him gently again. “And, although, at the moment, I’m not
really in the shape for anything big…I’m happy for some heavy duty making
out sessions. As long as you stay off the ankle.”
Luke gave her a lingering kiss. “Promise.” He looked for a minute down
at the ready-made mattress he had prepared earlier. “Seems a pity to waste
that though.”
“If you think for one minute, that I am getting off my comfy bed to
lie on that lumpy old thing, you have another thing coming, mister,” Lorelai
informed him.
“Would you put that finger away?” Luke urged her. “I can tell you’re
going to drive me nuts very quickly.”
Lorelai found another use for her finger and ran it down the side of
Luke’s face. “I love you, Luke Danes, Backwards Cap Man, Amazing Burger
and Coffee Man. I have for a very long time.”
“I love you too, Lorelai Gilmore, Coffee Addict. Have for a very long
time,” Luke informed her.

Part 2
One Week Later
Lorelai did NOT like being helpless. Although, she didn’t mind having
Luke around. He had informed her that he would be staying for awhile, because
Rory had school. Lorelai suspected that this may not have been the whole
truth, but she was willing to agree. When Rory was home, Luke discreetly
slept on the mattress in Lorelai’s room, but when Rory was out, they shared
Lorelai’s bed. Each night, Luke would carry Lorelai to the car, and take
her and Rory to the diner for dinner. And that was what started the rumours.
**************************************
Rory walked along the street with Lane and they passed Miss Patty’s
dance studio. The lady herself was standing in the doorway, watching everything.
“Rory!” she called.
“Hi, Miss Patty,” Rory smiled.
“How’s your mother, dear?”
“A lot better. Luke’s been a great help.”
Miss Patty’s ears pricked up. “Really? What do you mean?”
“Well, he said he was happy to stay on so I could get sleep each night
instead of being up and down to Mum. He’s been a big help.”
Miss Patty nodded. “Mhm.” She watched Rory and Lane keep walking and
smiled to herself. “I wonder what he’s helping with.”
******************************************
“You have got to be kidding,” Lorelai said looking at Luke.
“What? I can’t help it Lorelai. The doctor said you can’t take a shower
by yourself. Now Rory would usually do it, but since I’m the only one here…”
“No, no, no. Normally, I would jump at the chance to have a shower
with someone I’m romantically involved with, but not in this type of situation.
I am not doing this, Luke.”
Luke sighed. “Lorelai, all you have to do is let me help you get undressed
and get you in the shower. Then I’ll just sit here and wait till you’re
done.”
Lorelai gave him a ‘get real’ look. “I don’t think so. I’m sorry, but
I don’t want the first time you see me naked is in a very embarrassing
situation. Now get out.”
Luke smirked. “How do you know this will be the first time I see you
naked?”
Lorelai rolled her eyes. “Out, mister.”
Luke folded his arms. “No.”
“I’m not getting undressed until you leave,” Lorelai informed him,
folding her arms also.
“Then we could be here for a very long time,” Luke smiled.
“Mum, Luke! We’re back!”
“Thank God,” Luke muttered under his breath.
Lorelai sent him a sharp look. “Up here Rory! Please help!”
Rory bounded up the stairs, with Lane on her heels. “What’s the matter?”
“He,” Lorelai said, pointing at Luke, “wants me to undress. I told
him in no uncertain circumstances, will I let him see me naked.”
“I think I should go,” Lane said. “This definitely violates Mum’s Korean
principles.”
“See you tomorrow,” Rory smiled, watching Lane leave. She turned back
to her mother and Luke. “Luke, out. This is a female thing. Maybe if you
were involved with Mum, then I could let it slide. But since you’re not,
out.”
Rory missed the smile that passed between the couple as Luke nodded
and left the room. “Okay. Let’s go Mum. You know, this is kind of weird.
Maybe I can get back at you for all the times you nearly drowned me when
I was a baby.”
Lorelai frowned and wondered if it would have been easier with Luke
helping her.
********************************************
“That was a quick visit to Rory’s,” Miss Patty commented, as Lane wandered
past.
“There was a bit of a problem that was well…not for me to listen in
to.”
Miss Patty smiled. “Tell all, dear.”
“Miss Patty, I’m sure it’s nothing and they don’t want the whole town
to know.”
“Whole town to know what?”
“Miss Patty,” Lane sighed.
“Come on dear, what would I tell anyone? Absolutely nothing.”
Lane looked around and sighed, knowing she wasn’t going to get out
of here if she didn’t tell Miss Patty the truth. “It’s nothing really.
Lorelai’s doctor insisted that someone help her have a shower and Luke
was going to help her but Rory and I came in.”
Miss Patty raised an eyebrow. “Really?”
“Miss Patty,” Lane warned. “It’s nothing. He’s just helping her because
she broke her ankle. Don’t go making this into something it’s not.”
“Moi?” Miss Patty asked, with a face as good as gold.
Part 3
Babette rapped on the front door of Lorelai’s house.
“Luke, can you get that?” Lorelai called.
“I live to be your servant,” Luke called back, as he went to get the
door. “Hi, Babette.”
“Hello sugar. Is Lorelai in?”
“Sure is. Come on in.” Luke led Babette through the rooms to the couch,
where Lorelai was flicking through TV channels.
“Hey Babette,” Lorelai smiled, pleased to see some company.
“Hi, Babette,” Rory said, coming in with a tray.
“Luke, can you get me that sweater in my room. The one…”
“With the purple thing on it. Got it,” Luke said, leaving the room.
“You’re letting him wander around in your room, honey?” Babette asked.
Lorelai raised an eyebrow. “It’s just Luke, Babette. I’m not worried
about him going through drawers or anything. Besides, he pretty much knows
where everything is because I’ve been directing him.”
Babette looked at her oddly. “He’s been in your room?”
“He sleeps in it.” Lorelai realised what she had said and did a double
take. “He put a mattress down in the room so that if I needed help during
the night we wouldn’t have to wake Rory.”
“One sweater,” Luke said, handing the sweater to Lorelai.
“Thanks,” she smiled, putting it on.
“Well, sugar, Morey and Apricot want me so I better be going,” Babette
said, getting up. “Good to see that you’re doing okay.”
Lorelai nodded and watched her go. Luke walked back in and stared for
a moment at Lorelai.
“Is it just me, or is everyone getting weirder around here lately?”
“Everyone is getting weirder,” Rory answered. “Grandma rang. She wants
you to come to dinner tomorrow night.”
“Does she not know that I broke my ankle?”
“Yes she does. She said to bring Luke as well.”
Luke looked stumped. “Do I have to?”
“Hey mister. If I have to, you have to,” Lorelai informed him.
****************************************************
“No kissing,” Lorelai informed Luke.
“Check,” Luke answered.
“Or that footsie thing you were doing under the table last night.”
“What footsie thing? I don’t do footsie things,” Luke said incredulously.
“And no hands on my knee. My parents know all and see all. I don’t
want our relationship coming out at their dinner, especially since Rory
doesn’t know yet.”
“Check, check, check and check,” Luke said, already feeling exhausted.
“Can we go now?”
“Wait a minute,” Lorelai said. She moved him over closer to her and
kissed him deeply, wrapping her arms around his neck.
Luke smiled, as they broke apart. “Not that I didn’t like it, but what
was that for?”
“We’re about to spend an evening with my parents. Both of us are going
to need it.”
***************************************************
“Lorelai!” Emily said, surprised, as she saw her being carried in Luke’s
arms. “You certainly know how to make an entrance, don’t you?”
“Thanks mum. Nice to see you too. No, the ankles fine, thanks for asking.”
“Don’t be rude, Lorelai. Good evening Luke.”
“Hello, Mrs Gilmore,” Luke smiled. “I’d shake your hand but my hands
are kind of full.”
“So I noticed,” Emily said dryly. “Rory!”
Luke sat Lorelai down on the couch inside.
“Welcome to the hellmouth,” Lorelai told him.
“I’ll handle it,” he smiled.
*******************************************
“So, Luke,” Emily said, pronouncing the Luke rather oddly, “you work
at the diner, correct?”
“Ahh, yes, Mrs Gilmore,” Luke replied, rather feeling like a teenage
boy meeting his girlfriends parents for the first time.
“Lorelai tells us that it used to be a hardware,” Richard smiled. Richard
liked Luke; he was interesting and very well behaved.
“Yes, Mr Gilmore. My father had it as a hardware for many years. When
he died, I converted it into a diner. I was better at cooking than selling
woodworking items.”
Richard smiled.
“Then why didn’t you become a chef?”
“Pardon?” Luke said, stumped.
“Mum,” Lorelai berated.
“Well, it seems perfectly logical to me. If he liked cooking, he could
have become a chef and worked at a nice restaurant instead of opening a
diner. Particularly in such a small town. You mustn’t get many customers.”
“Mum,” Lorelai sighed.
“Chilton’s really great,” Rory cut in.
Emily continued staring at Luke.
“Well, Mrs Gilmore, I like Stars Hollow and I like the people there.
I’m not big on fancy places and that sort of thing.”
“Running a diner is a good honest job,” Richard smiled.
“It’s a dead end job.”
“Mum!”
“Well, it is.”
“This pudding is very nice,” Rory interjected.
“Um, I need to go to the bathroom,” Lorelai told Luke.
“Right,” he said, getting up.
“I’m sure Rory is more than capable of helping her mother,” Emily said.
“Sure,” Luke said, watching Lorelai give him a helpless smile.
***********************************************
“I hate my mother,” Lorelai said, as Luke laid her down in her bed.
Luke smiled and checking the door was closed, gently kissed her. “Hey,
I love you.”
“I’m so sorry she kept making comments about diners and dead end jobs.
I had no idea you were in for an attack.”
Luke kissed her again, this time a little more passionately. “Lorelai,
I didn’t go because your mother asked me. I went because you went, okay?”
“So, what did you all talk about while Rory and I were gone?”
“Oh, the weather, flowers, sleeping with you.”
“What!” Lorelai gasped, sitting up. “OW!” she cried, whacking her ankle.
“Mum, are you okay?” Rory asked, rushing in.
“I’m fine,” Lorelai answered.
Rory nodded and left the room. Lorelai looked down at the mattress,
where Luke had fallen after trying to get away.
“What about you?”
“I’ll live,” he answered. Luke clambered back up onto the bed beside
her.
“What were you saying about my mother asking you if you were sleeping
with me?” Lorelai demanded.
“That’s what she said. Well, not exactly.”
“What exactly?”
“She asked, and I quote ‘Are you and my daughter…well..you know.’”
“Oh God,” Lorelai said, burying her head in the pillow.
“And I could truthfully answer no,” Luke said, smiling triumphantly.
Lorelai smiled back at him.
*******************************
Part 4
Five Weeks Later
Lorelai had now graduated to a walking cast, and regretfully, Luke
and her nights of making out had “officially” come to an end. “Unofficially”
however, they were both pleased and excited to know that their ‘first time’
wasn’t far off.
Although they had yet to experience it, rumours were rampant around
town that the two were already sleeping together.
Lorelai and Rory were walking along from where they had parked their
car to Luke’s diner. Miss Patty saw them and rushed over.
“Lorelai! So good to see you up and about.”
“Hi Patty,” she smiled.
“So, you and Luke still…you know.”
Lorelai raised an eyebrow. “What?”
“You know,” Miss Patty said again.
“You’ll have to spell it out for me Patty, these drugs for the ankle
are very haze inducing.”
“Well, I can’t say it in front of Rory. She’s even too young for fresh
fruit and sex.”
Lorelai looked at her daughter oddly, who shrugged.
“Uh, Rory, why don’t you go into Luke’s and order okay?”
“Sure,” Rory answered, sending Miss Patty a strange look.
“Okay, out with it,” Lorelai told Patty.
“Fine. Are you and Luke still doing the horizontal tango.”
“What!” Lorelai spluttered out. “Luke and I are not doing any such
thing. He keeps me in coffee, remember?”
“I just am telling you what I heard. I know all about the shower and
him helping and things like that.”
Lorelai’s eyes widened considerably. “Shower? Luke did most certainly
not help me in the shower. There is nothing going on Patty.”
Miss Patty nodded and kept on her way. Lorelai groaned and limped into
the diner.
************************
“It’s very good to see you in here,” Luke said, with a look that said
‘I miss you.’
“Well, I’ve missed it, that’s for sure,” Lorelai answered, her look
reading ‘I miss you too’.
“Uh, Rory’s got your coffee there,” Luke said, pointing to the table.
“Right,” Lorelai answered, tearing her eyes away from his.
“Mum,” Rory said, as Lorelai sat down.
“Mhm?”
“Are you okay?”
“Of course I am. Well, apart from this stupid ankle. Why wouldn’t I
be?”
“No reason. You and Luke just seem really weird lately. And besides
that, there are all these rumours flying around.”
“Augh! What rumours?” Lorelai groaned.
“Just you two are seeing each other.”
Lorelai felt like banging her head on the table. “Everything is perfectly
normal. Everything is fine.”
Rory glanced at her oddly.
***********************************
Later that night, a knock came on the door. Rory answered it.
“Luke,” she said, surprised.
“Hey,” Luke said, shifting his feet. “Um, I think I left a couple of
my things in Lorelai’s room and thought I better come get them.”
“Oh okay. Mum! Luke’s here to get some things from your room!” Rory
called.
There was a clattering as Lorelai attempted to run down the stairs.
“Hi,” she said to Luke.
“Hey,” Luke grinned.
“Okay, I’m leaving now. Got some homework,” Rory said, raising an eyebrow.
“You better come upstairs and find your stuff,” Lorelai said quickly.
Luke nodded and seeing that Rory was gone, took Lorelai in his arms
and ran upstairs. He shut the door and almost immediately placed her on
the bed and began to kiss her. Lorelai moaned and snaked her arms around
him, pulling him closer, and he rested his body atop hers.
When they finally broke apart from lack of air, Lorelai smiled up into
his eyes.
“I’ve missed being able to do that,” Luke told her.
“Obviously,” Lorelai answered.
Luke kissed her again. “Rory is going to wonder why we’re taking so
long to find my stuff.”
“No I’m not,” came a voice from the door.
Lorelai yelped in surprise and Luke fell off the bed onto the floor.
This time, however, the mattress had gone.
“Rory,” Lorelai said, putting a hand on Luke’s shoulder, making sure
he was okay.
“Hi, Mum,” Rory said. She craned her neck. “Hi, Luke. You know, you
could have just told me. I would have been okay with it.”
“It wasn’t that we weren’t going to tell you,” Lorelai told her daughter.
She patted the bed and Rory came to sit on it. “It’s just, that there are
all these rumours flying around town and Luke and I really want this relationship
to work out. And well, it’s kind of hard to be good at this when rumours
are flying around and…”
“Mum, you’re babbling,” Rory said. “It’s fine. Just one question though.”
“What?” Luke asked, suspiciously.
“Are you two actually…you know…”
“We wish,” Lorelai moaned. She realised what she had said and clapped
a hand over her mouth. “I mean, no. Not with this cast. But it should be
off next week and then…well…we’ll see.”
“Okay. Well, tell me when and I’ll plan not to be here.”
“Rory, the last thing we want is for this relationship to upset you
or your life in any way,” Luke explained.
Lorelai smiled at him.
“It’s fine,” Rory answered. “Actually, I kind of like the idea of you
two together. I just don’t want to be here when you first…you know.”
“Got it,” Lorelai assured her. “You’ll be the first to know when we
are ready to…you know.”
“Good to know,” Rory answered. “I really do have homework…so…have fun
whatever you’re doing.”
*********************************
Part 5
This is a new part cause it’s rated NC-17. It chronicles Luke and Lorelai’s first night together.
“You, Luke, dish,” Sookie said, the moment Lorelai entered the kitchen.
Lorelai rolled her eyes. Now that her relationship with Luke was out
in the open, everyone was constantly asking when the next step was going
to take place. Truth be told, although she had gotten her walking cast
off two weeks ago, her work and the diner had been so busy that they hadn’t
had any time to themselves.
“Sookie,” Lorelai groaned. “When Luke and I…well…”
“Sleep together,” Sookie provide.
“Okay, I do not want to hear this conversation. Please stop while I
must be here,” Michel said. He held out the phone. “Your diner man is on
the phone.”
“Ooooh,” Sookie swooned.
“Okay, Michel out. Sookie, go out the back for a few minutes, okay?”
Lorelai asked.
“Yes master,” Sookie grinned and pushed Michel out the way.
“Hey,” Lorelai said.
“Hi,” Luke replied. “Listen, um, you know how I wasn’t sure about tonight.
I know Rory’s on school camp and all, but I wasn’t sure about the diner?
Well, I’ve got someone to take care of it so if you want to…”
“Believe me, I want to,” Lorelai answered. “I mean, if you do.”
“I do,” Luke told her. “So…uh…”
“Come for dinner? Seven-thirty? Nothing big, just pizza.”
“Sounds great. I’ll see you then,” Luke smiled as he hung up the phone.
****************************************************
Luke and Lorelai were seated in the loungeroom, eating pizza and discussing
things in general.
“I believe that icecream is an essential ingredient to chocolate chip
pancakes and you should serve it.”
“For breakfast, Lorelai?”
“Hey, it’s one of the most important meals of the day.”
Luke shook his head, as he smiled and took the things to clean up.
“Wow, got you trained already,” Lorelai grinned, following him into
the kitchen.
“Hey, 50/50, right?”
Lorelai took his hand. She tugged on it, as if urging him to follow
her. Luke complied willingly and she led him up to her room. For some reason,
they both felt different inside it, probably because of the high electricity
that was practically bouncing off the walls. Lorelai lifted her hand up
and let his cap fall off. They fell into a kiss and Luke laid her on the
bed.
“Maybe we can put a grain of truth in those rumours, now, huh?” Lorelai
smiled at him.
Luke wasn’t sure he’d ever heard her voice so shaky and nervous. He
ran a hand down her side. “I’m not going to hurt you, you know that don’t
you?”
Lorelai nodded. “I know. I’m just…”
“Me too,” Luke said, finishing her sentence.
Lorelai’s face broke out into a big grin and she pulled his head down
to meet hers. “Love you,” she murmured, before their lips met in a deep,
slow kiss.
Luke ran his hands down the side of her body and then slowly ran them
up her shirt. She smiled and helped him take his shirt off and then remove
her top. He reached around behind and unclasped her bra, letting it slide
over her shoulders.
“You’re so beautiful,” he told her, letting his hands roam across her
breasts.
“You’re not too bad yourself,” she answered, and then gasped as he
started to kiss her neck.
He gathered her into his arms and they both moaned as their bare chests
made contact. They kissed deeply and as Lorelai started on his belt, he
bent down and suckled her.
“Oh God,” Lorelai murmured at the touch of his warm mouth on her.
Luke smiled at her little murmurs of pleasure and then stilled as she
wrapped her hand around his now exposed bulge.
Both would have liked their first time to last longer, but their want
and need was too great to prolong the pleasure that was rapidly building.
“Luke,” she moaned, as he let his hands travel down to the zipper of
her jeans.
Finally, there were no barriers between them and she wrapped her legs
around his waist, as they groaned at the close contact.
After whispered declarations of love, Luke entered her in one stroke.
He bent down and captured Lorelai’s lips in his, kissing her deeply; letting
his tongue explore her mouth. He thrust in and out, each time reaching
deeper inside of her.
Luke could feel that Lorelai was very close and he began to move faster
and harder within her. His own release was building quickly, but he wanted
to wait.
All of a sudden, Lorelai’s orgasm washed over her and she cried out
his name. As her muscles contracted around him, Luke climaxed and filled
her with his warmth. When the spasming decreased, they lay together, holding
each other tight.
“Wow,” Lorelai said, as her breathing started to become normal again.
“That was…”
“Amazing,” Luke finished for her. “It’s never…”
“Been like that before,” Lorelai finished for him.
Luke pulled her close to him and brushed a stray lock of hair out of
her eyes. “You know, we should really stop finishing each others sentences.
It’s going to freak people out.”
Lorelai yawned and snuggled closer. “Deal.”
As Lorelai drifted off to sleep, Luke watched her for a few moments.
He’d never liked being gossiped about behind his back, but, he didn’t think
he mind the rumours at the moment.
