About The Car

We are running a 347 - stroker motor, which has an R 302 (race block) block with a steel crank, Eagle rods and forged pistons. The Trick Flow R heads are "o" ringed and have 2.08 intake valves and 1.60 exhaust valves.

The camshaft is a custom grind by Comp Cams. The specs of the cam will remain a secret.

The high volume oil pump recieves its oil from a Moroso sidekick large capacity oilpan and is driven by an M.S.D distributor with a 6AL M.S.D ignition control box and 8.5mm wires to carry the spark. Also to help control the ignition is an Accell supercoil.

The air is compressed by a Procharger D3R supercharger produceing up to 30lbs of boost and forced through a air/water intercooler then through a 80mm throttlebody and into a new Trick Flow R intake.

The fuel system is also modified with an Aeromotive fuel pump and larger 3/8" pressure line joining an adjustable pressure regulator to 1/2" fuelrails and 150lb injectors..

The C-4 transmission was removed in exchange for a GM powerglide transmission with a 5500rpm torque converter, a reverse pattern vavle body was added with a trans-brake, delay box and a B&M Pro Stick Shifter.

The differential has narrowed to accomidate larger tires with 35spline axles and 4:10 gears, but to get a better launch and traction, a coilover kit was added to the front and in the rear a 4-link kit was installed. 70/30 front shocks.

We are running on 26x7.50x15 front tires and are running 33"tall x 14"wide rear slicks. We've lightened the car by removing much of the interior but are trying to retain much of the stock appearance. Fiberglass racing seats with 5pt harness was installed and an 8pt rollcage certified to run up to 7.50 seconds. Aluminum checker plating was also installed for appearance in the rear where the aluminum battery box was relocated too. To monitor the motor, fuel pressure, water temp, boost and oil pressure gauges were installed.

We have taken out the factory computer and replaced it with a programmable computer made by F.A.S.T (Fuel air spark technologies). With this computer set up we are able to make changes by a lap top computer between runs. With this computer we are also able to data log 14 different sensors and see where the car needs to be adjusted for maximum power gains.

A parachute was added to help slow down the 2600lb car at top speeds.
