Since we added to the roll bar we have done some work to the engine block and heads. The engine block was fitted with an o-ring to hold some more boost pressure. Copper head gaskets were also installed to prolong the life of the head gaskets, the traditional head gaskets just don't last as long anymore. We also port matched the heads to the intake so the air can flow a little easier.

We have also ordered a new computer system for the car, this will allow us to fine tune things a little more and it gives us the capibility of data logging each run to see where things need to be adjusted. We also have a local metal shop building us a K-member to lighten up the front of the car. With the new K-member being installed we have to run coilover springs on the front, this will help in the weight transfer to get more traction. We are also trying some different slicks this year, we are trying Hoosier, and we are also getting taller tires 28x10x15, the slicks we had last year were 26x10x15. The taller tire should help us get some more MPH out of the car.

We are hoping to run mid to high 9 seconds this year, as a result of running these kind of times we also had to get an SFI bellhousing and an SFI transmission shield. I also had to order some fire safety equiptment, jacket, pants, shoes, and gloves.

With the new computer system we think this summer will end up to be just a test and tune season to get the car to run strong.

I'm getting excited for racing season to start, the car is slowly starting to go back together.

STAY TUNED FOR THE NEXT UPDATE (it won't take as long as the last one)
