Tess is the younger daughter of Jack McLeod. She moved away from Drover's Run with her mother several years ago, but came back after Jack's death. She thought it was to sell her half of the property before returning to the city and opening her cafe. She was wrong. She's been around ever since, learning the ropes from Claire, and, in the process, reconnecting with her older sister. She's been feeling slightly unwelcome and unneeded lately.
