I grew up outside of (and now live) in a tiny little "town" south of Ottawa. Never been a country person but I'm not really a city person either. I'd probably like the city if I was more used to it. Growing up around miles of nice open space kinda makes the city seem daunting. Eep. "I make my living out on the street" (a line from a KISS song). Hehe on the street corner to be more precise. I was a crossing guard but I'm now retired. It's a hard way to make a buck trust me ;). There aren't a lot of jobs out here. Anyway I live with my mom and younger brother in town now. My dad still lives at the place I guess I identify most as my home with "our" two dogs (pics of them can be found here). After we moved into town (two years ago April 27th) I got my first little kitty. She's so sweet. Well not so much sweet as evil. She's super cute but not very cuddly. Pics of her here.

I miss high school (believe it or not) and wish I could go back. I'd have more fun. Be more carefree. That's my biggest regret so far is caring too much what other people thought about me in high school for the first few years and stifling my personality so I wouldn't stand out. But when I met the coolest art teacher ever that all seemed to change. Shout out to Mr. S! You rock! But by then I only had one more year :( Anyway, enough rambling about high school. I'll be back to the big city of Ottawa til to continue the adventure of college. I'm studying Radio Broadcasting yay!!! Not really learning much but whatever.

What else? Religion wise I don't really think I have a religion. I believe there's somewhere to go after this life because there just has to be. That's pretty much all I need. I'm not the type to sit in a church every Sunday and be preached to by some old guy who likely just felt up some little boy so yeah. I don't think I've been in a church in a long while. I don't exactly feel welcome for certain reasons.

When I think about myself personality wise the first thing that always comes to my mind is my taste in music. I think I was born in the wrong decade. =) Here we go....(click the names to find out more about each artist)

A Note About Me and Music (and Drugs)
I don't know about the rest of you but when I'm listening to the right music (W.A.S.P. perhaps) the real me comes out. It's weird to try to describe it but let's just say not even my best friends know all of me (unless they've got hidden cameras in my room) I guess you could say music is like a drug for me.(I wouldn't really know. Never even tried cigarettes. Call me a loser if you want I don't care I just think that kind of stuff is a waste of money and time.)

Me On Deciding What to Take in College
When I'm listening to my favourite bands it just hits me. I could work at a desk like a mindless drone but would I be happy? NO!!! I need music to be as big a part of my life as possible. I need my job to showcase who I am. As an individual. We only do this life thing once and we need to work if we want to have those nice little coloured pieces of paper that buy stuff. You spend a lot of time at your job and it's your life right? You gotta make yourself happy.

What I Do For Fun (other than music related stuff not that that leaves a lot of time)
There's not a lot to do in this tiny town so when I'm not listening to music or chatting with friends on MSN I read a lot. I also like to knit (it's not just for grannies anymore) and play video games (I beat GTA SA without my bro's help!!! :D). I also love playing pool (I'm not good but it's fun) and cards. I enjoy watching lots of different shows (and yes at one point I hated reality TV :)) and movies.

Things I Dislike

People who discriminate (racist, sexist or what have you. we were all put on this earth we gotta share it. Personally I love diversity. Go diversity it's your birthday!)
Liars (I'll be more upset that you lied and broke our trust than about what you felt you had to lie about)
Drunk drivers (If you wanna drink fine. If you don't care about your own life fine that's your problem but when you drive drunk you're endangering innocent people who have to share the road with you)
People who cheat on their significant other (if you aren't happy let them know! Be honest. Don't sneak around behind their back!)
People who say that their significant other completes them. (Grrrr you yourself are complete! You shouldn't need another person to make you feel complete!)
People who bid a dollar over other people on The Price Is Right (Give the person who came up with the bid at least 50 dollars to work with!)
People who litter (Is it so hard to find a freaking garbage can?)
People who are mean to animals (if you're mean to a person at least they understand but animals are so sweet and innocent)
