Nights Out

This first report of 2004 comes to you from our very Kate!!

Edelweiss Belles TV Weekend - COLWYN BAY APRIL 2004

Last year some of the girls went to the Eidelweiss Belles weekend at Colwyn Bay. So on the recommendation of Michelle and Francis I thought I would give it a go. Michelle said it was a quiet relaxed affair and I thought ‘warrama gonna do at night’!! (No clubbing)

I travelled down with Ali and Charlene as Francis was heading for a night of dissipation in Manchester on the Wednesday night and due to other commitments I could not travel down until the Thursday morning.

I must admit I was a little dismayed when I arrived, the Hotel was a bit shabby, but that’s just the decorator in me. The welcome from Julie and Turid on the other hand was 100% warm and friendly.

Francis was already there, the room wasn’t the largest double I’ve been in, but we managed not finish up wearing each other’s clothes.

I shaved and changed and went off to explore. The Hotel was originally a private school and stands in its own grounds. I met the owners, Chris and Karen and a lot of new (to me) girls.

A multi-choice meal was served at 7pm and then it was just sit around and natter and patronise the bar (drinks at decent prices).

On Friday I was invited into town with Ali, Charlene and Brenda (the Bikka). I did 2 pair of tights getting ready so there replacement was high on the shopping list and these were obtained in one of the many Charity shops in Colwyn Bay. Brenda bought some trousers, a top and a belt. However, Ali got the best deal of a Cashmere coat for all of 50p. After a good two-hour walk it was back to the Hotel for lunch and heavy duty lying about.

Night time, after a huge choice of Buffet Dinner we had Cabaret and Disco..

The weather was very unreliable on Saturday, the only time I spent outside was a walk to the Papershop with Karen, and just made it back before the downpour.

I bought some tickets in the Sweepstake and got 3rd prize, which I re-invested in some Raffle tickets and won another prize. There was also a Quiz, which Ali, Charlene and I won after a tie-break with Brenda, Francis and company.

Then it was Disco time for the rest of the evening.

Sunday was quiet, a lot of the girls went home, but I managed a walk out for a Sunday paper. Sunday dinner was again multi-choice and excellent. A quiet relaxed night in with the girls who were left and a very easy packing and departure on Monday with Francis.

Big thanks to Julie, Turid, Karen and Chris.

Best Wishes from,

Kate

P.S. I’VE BOOKED FOR OCTOBER!!!!! Thanks Kate and I am glad you enjoyed. (said you would)!!

I am only sorry that I was not able to attend on this ocassion, however the one thing I would add to any girls attending, what is a great weekend, don't leave your property lying about because though it may be found it is not handed into Reception for safe keeping but held by one of the Organisers and even after a year will not necessarily be returned to you.

Those that did attend PLEASE let me have some Photo's as soon as they become available then I can add them to this page.
