Gia: {They walk away from each other} Nothing much.
Nikolas: {Makes his way over to her} Nothing much? Well, I thought you spent the whole afternoon gazing at your pictures.

You know, and it's not even a real holiday. It's this icky, sticky event designed to sucker in all the goopy couples like Lucky and Elizabeth. And, you know, the most obnoxious part about it is how these couples make you feel, like, like they're superior, like they've discovered nirvana and -- and anyone who chooses to be independent has some sort of, I don't know, spiritual deficiency or something, but, you know, I've got news -- some of us like being on our own. {Walks back to him} Some of us can actually exist without sappy gifts and flowers that die in two days. You know, we don't need boxes of chocolate with revolting fillings to make us feel -- {He reaches for her}

Nikolas gets up and goes to the door, and Gia sits up
Gia: {He has a package in his hands and makes his way behind the couch, toward her} What is that?
Nikolas: Your Valentine's day gift.
Gia: I thought you said you forgot.
Nikolas: Yeah, well, I -- lied. {He sits back down on the floor}
Gia: How could you play me like that after I was nosing about your whole day and you're playing Mr. Innocent -- "oh, Gia, do you have a problem with Wednesdays?"
Nikolas: {Grabs the present} All right, well, I can take it back if you don't want it.
Gia: {She grabs it back} No, uh-uh, no. Give me that. {He smiles at her as he watches her open the gift}
Nikolas: Happy Valentine's day.
Gia: Nikolas, thank you.
Nikolas: It's just -- {He grabs her hand and kisses it} just my way of saying that I believe in your future as much as you do. {He reaches over and touches her face, smiling at her, then reaches in for a kiss}
