The Push for 4000 Page Views
“Background Information”
“On Our Own” has been in business for almost half a year now, and in total, have amassed 1400 page views. Needless to say, that’s great for a website that is still in its building stages. But we feel that it’s time that we need to get the word out there a little more. Hence our new “Push for 4000,” a program that is designed to help us get the word out there to a much larger fan base. There are quite a few parts and phases to this program, and we need your help, so let’s get to outlining it.
“Phase One: Word of Mouth”
The first phase is the same phase we have been in since June, the “word of mouth” phase. Basically, this phase (which will continue forever, but is currently one of the only methods we have used in the past to gain visitors) entails any of our visitors to tell someone else who they think my enjoy the site what the address of the site is. This is why we made the basic address (www.oootv.tk) so simple to remember and tell other people. We will be sincerely thankful if you use this method to tell others, although we will probably be unable to thank you, because we can’t tell who provides what visitors.
“Phase Two: The Linking Game”
The second phase is the phase we plan on entering as of the uploading of this file, the “linking game” phase.
Number one, if you have a website, we would be more than willing to set up a link or banner exchange. However, you must be aware that if there are a large number of people willing to participate in this, we may have to bump your link or banner off the main page and to a secondary exchange page. If we do this, we are sorry, but we must maintain some sort of organization on our index page, and we hope you understand this fact before entering an exchange. If you would like to advertise “On Our Own” on your site, and would like us to link back to you, send a request e-mail to exchange@onourowntv.cjb.net. We are more than willing to participate; however, we will only link back to your site if it has something to do with television, scripts, and the like.
Number two is the instant messenger program. If you want to help us out by linking to us in an AIM profile, or away message, or any other Messenger services profiles, you are more than welcome to do so. In fact, because of the fact that we will be able to see this linkage in action, if you tell us you are using such a link, we will personally thank you…a lot. Anyway, here’s the code:

“Phase Three: The Flyer”
We will also be using a flyer to help more people get interested in the show. If you see these flyers, it is in our best hope that you either help us spread the word, or continue using our site in the first place. In any case, this phase doesn’t require much on your, the viewer’s, part.
“Phase Four: The Companion”
The “On Our Own”
Companion is probably our best attempt to compile everything that is “On
Our Own,” and ship it out to the masses.
Basically, The Companion will be a book, a compilation of 27 episodes,
plus all of the explanation files, along with what we words from us, the
writers. More on this coming soon, as
results are finalized…it is not at all set in stone that this book is
published, but we hope that it will be.
