NBCLive: Welcome, Travis and Lindsay!

Lindsay_Korman: Hi everyone and happy Valentine's Day! Thanks for talking with us today.

soapqueen89-guest: Hi Travis and Lindsay. The two of you seem to have a great passion, no pun intended, for acting. How did you get started in the business?

Travis_Schuldt: Happy Valentine's Day too! I really became interested in acting when I studied it in college. I think what interested me most was the depth you can go to, how to convey an idea through the theatre.
Lindsay_Korman: I competed in beauty pageants when I was ten years old, so that started my life on stage. I really enjoyed being out in front of an audience, so that led me to want to perform. In a sense, competing in a beauty pageant is like performing before an audience - you have to answer questions, etc. I took it one step further and auditioned for musicals. That feeling of performing as another character took over, and I felt passionate about acting. That's how it all started.

megan-guest: Did you two originally audition for the roles you have now? If not, what did you audition for, and why?

Lindsay_Korman: I auditioned for Theresa, yes.
Travis_Schuldt: When I first auditioned, I had no idea, and I didn't know until my third audition when I was reading the Ethan part.

luvstravis: Travis, was it fun announcing the winners of the casting call?

Travis_Schuldt: Yeah, that was a blast! It was a great time. They were so thrilled and excited, and they both had a great sense of humor about it, and we were milking it for all it was worth! They seem like really nice people.

passionsfan: Lindsay, how did you feel when you found out you were nominated for a Soap Opera Digest Award?

Lindsay_Korman: I was speechless. I was so shocked my left leg went numb! I remember this perfectly...I was in the makeup room, and I got a phone call from the Executive producer and I didn't know what I had done wrong - I was really scared! Then when she told me what it was about, I didn't believe it. My mom had flown in from Vegas that day, by coincidence, so I got to go to my house and tell her about it. It was a perfect day!

mckenzie-isdabomb: What were your feelings when you got the part of theresa and ethan?

Travis_Schuldt: I was ecstatic - blown away. I was floored. Flummoxed.
Lindsay_Korman: Same thing - I was excited and couldn't believe it. I was living in a dream world. I was happy and grateful - I love my job.

EZGuest740: Do either of you try to make the character more like yourself?

Travis_Schuldt: That's the only thing I know how to base anything on, so in that sense, yes.
Lindsay_Korman: I try to incorporate myself into my character. I tell Travis sometimes that I, Lindsay, am emotional, and so is Theresa with her dramatic outbursts. I also try to add things to my character that I wish Lindsay could add in her life. The way I struggle to become a real person in real life, I try to make my character do the same thing.

SprklCndy: Hey you guys!! Travis, you are so hot!! What is the craziest thing a woman has done to get your attention?

Travis_Schuldt: Women don't have to do MUCH to get my attention! LOL I've never really had any strange experiences. My eyes are peeled all the time -)

cOLOJERO: Lindsay will you ever be singing on the show?

Lindsay_Korman: I hope so. Keep watching!

guest-NBCSoapFan: What is a typical day like for you on the set?

Lindsay_Korman: We get our call time the night before, and that pretty much determines the next day. If the call time is 6 am, I get up at 4 am to look after my dog "babies" first. Then I shower and go over my lines and leave the house at 5 am. I go straight to hair and makeup, then dry block. Depending on which item number I am (the sequential order of our scenes), I'll get called to set. So it can be anywhere from 10 to 15 hours, or even a 4 hour day. But we're there for a while.
Travis_Schuldt: Pretty much the same. On an average, between four and ten hours.

Maddie3_155: I know that you two probably love your characters greatly, but if you HAD to choose one other character to play, keeping age groups in mind, who would you want to portray?

Travis_Schuldt: Julian Crane :-)
Lindsay_Korman: I think I'd play my best friend on the show, Whitney. It would be nice to play her - she seems perfect, so it would be neat to play someone who's in search, but in denial, of love. I think Whitney's character is an awesome one to play.

undergrounder6: Hi! Travis and Lindsay!!! I just wanted to know what kinds of things happen between scenes.

Travis_Schuldt: There are a lot of jokes. Lindsay and I have a good time together. I try not to make her laugh when she has to cry! LOL It's a very friendly environment, and very fast paced, so there isn't a lot of time to sit around, but we try to have fun while we're doing it.

EZGuest963: Travis: Are you anything like the character Ethan? if so, in what ways?

Travis_Schuldt: Let's see - we look the same! We're both nice people. And, I guess, as far as the importance of family, we're alike. It's important what they mean to us.

SprklCndy: Hey Lindsay!! I think you are gorgeous!! Do you have any beauty tips for the other girls?

Lindsay_Korman: Thank you very much Cndy! I can say that I get so much makeup put on my face every day that I have to thank the hair and makeup people. That's not what I look like when I first get up in the morning - that's a pretty scary sight! LOL For hair, I use Joico and ABA products, and a lot of Lancome products and MAC. But thanks for the nice compliment -)

gerald67: What would you like to see happen to each of your characters?

Travis_Schuldt: I enjoy some of the things that go on with Ethan and his father, so I'd like to see more of that relationship. Maybe Ethan could find a good buddy, a guy friend instead of a girl friend. Somebody to talk with.
Lindsay_Korman: I want my character to start working on her fashion a bit more. I'd like her to be more independent, more grounded and focused on her career. Obviously, she's still very much in love with Ethan Crane, so that will continue in her mind. But I'd like her to focus on other things as well, because that might help her emotionally.

Maddie3_155: Did you have to learn to ice skate for Passions, or did you two have prior ice experience?

Lindsay_Korman: Yes, actually we went to Venice in Ventura. We got to go down there and skate for a couple of hours. I used to skate when I was younger. Like, really young!
Travis_Schuldt: I skated when I was a kid too, and that was the last time I'd done it. Mom used to take us to Kansas City when I was ten, and we'd go skating at the mall. (There was a rink in the mall!)

Maddie3_155: Is everyone close of the set of Passions? Do you guys hang out together outside of work?

Travis_Schuldt: Yeah, pretty much. Everybody really gets along. We don't hang out all the time, but we do sometimes. And we see each other every day at work.
Lindsay_Korman: The girls are the same, absolutely.

_lemongirl_-guest: I was just wondering what it was like to play Demetrius in Midsummer? And did you prefer shooting a feature length film as opposed to the grueling schedule for filming a soap? Happy Valentines Day to both of you too!

Travis_Schuldt: Happy Valentine's to you too! That was my first film experience, so it was awesome! Plus, a good friend of mine was the director and producer, so it was a great experience. Hopefully, we'll turn it into a feature, and shoot the rest. I like the character of Demetrius, because it's Shakespeare, and Demetrius is a rather selfish, self-absorbed guy so he's an interesting character. I like him, and it was nice to do something different.

EZGuest963: Lindsay, do you act like Theresa in anyway in real life?

Travis_Schuldt: She IS Theresa! LOL
Lindsay_Korman: I feel that there are some similarities, with dedication and commitment. Theresa is very committed to her family, and to marrying Ethan Crane. However, I am not committed in regard to a love life - I don't find that necessary right now. I'm happy with my house and my little doggies, and coming to work every day. I try my hardest at work, and I love my family, as Theresa does.

EZGuest137: Do either one of you have any pets?

Lindsay_Korman: I have two little dogs A miniature Shetland sheep dog, so she looks like a little tiny Lassie. Her name is Princess, and that's what she's like! And I have a Pomeranian who is about 15 1/2 weeks old, and I brought her to the set the other day. She licked everybody and jumped on them, and bit peoples' noses. Her name is Niki. And the two of them make me as happy as can be.
Travis_Schuldt: I'm not old enough to raise animals! I don't have enough responsibility. I'm still working on making my bed and taking out the garbage. If I did have a pet, I'd want to have a cat. Maybe a kitten. He could sit on my shoulder everywhere I go.

EZGuest817: What is it like to work with Jesse Metcalfe and Molly Stanton?

Travis_Schuldt: I don't think I've worked with Molly yet! They're great - Jesse and Molly are very committed and hard working. They put in 100 percent.
Lindsay_Korman: I've worked with Molly a couple of times because her character is my younger brother's love interest. She's such a sweet person, similar to her character in the innocent side of the character. Jesse is like a brother to me, and he even looks like my real life brother! So automatically, I think of my brother, and I think that's why our scenes work so well together. We have a real brother and sister relationship.

Maria_k: Hello, how are you? Do you feel that people you knew before you became famous treat you differently nowadays?

Travis_Schuldt: Not really. I haven't really noticed anything from people that I knew before. Just the same old Trav!
Lindsay_Korman: Same with me.
Travis_Schuldt: If anything, they keep me in check. Don't let any of that stuff go to my head.
Lindsay_Korman: Not that Travis has ever shown any signs of that! Never!

EZGuest137: Travis: Recently, I've been researching colleges, since I will be transferring next semester. I am going to change my major to theater. I looked at TCU, and I swore there were pictures of you in their theater brochure! Am I crazy, or was that you?

Travis_Schuldt: No, if it's still the same picture, it's me and my friend Steve Hacker from when we did Diviners. They stuck us on the cover! TC is a great theatrical school. Dr. Newlin is the man to talk to :-) He's the chair from when I was there.

Lynn-guest557: Lindsay, I love the clothes that you wear! Do you get to pick some of them out yourself?

Lindsay_Korman: No, Julie Inglesman is the wardrobe mistress and handles all the wardrobe. She does Ivy Crane and my fantasies, like the wedding dresses. I love my clothes on the show, so I've never even needed to ask for anything different. I was just talking to her before coming here, and she's bought some new stuff. The clothes are those that Lindsay wouldn't wear, so I can wear the hot pinks with yellow sweaters, and it works because that's what my character would wear.

_lemongirl_-guest: This question is totally shallow, but do you get to keep any of the clothes you wear on the show or do they stay in the costume department?

Lindsay_Korman: They stay in the costume department :-(

CowgirlAnna-guest: Do you like being the good guy?

Travis_Schuldt: It's fun! I enjoy it. The challenge of it is that it's so easy to dismiss it - "Oh, Travis is being a nice guy again" It's not difficult to make it sincere, but you have to come across that way. But I enjoy the challenge.

PassionsLover2003: Lindsay, do you have any other hobbies? This might be a stupid question, but do you collect anything?

Lindsay_Korman: I collect angels and crystals and pewter, mythical objects like castles and dragons. I've been a fan of that Renaissance style for quite a while. I also sing as well. I was hesitant to begin singing on the show, but I'm really trying right now. I feel in my heart that I need to pursue my singing, and I love it, but it's a lot of work. I like to stay busy.

Abercrombie4chs: Travis, what is your favorite music genre?

Travis_Schuldt: It's so hard for me to just sit back and say just one thing. I like classical and rock and alternative, reggae, jazz, and other things. I listen to music a lot - it's a part of life.

xX-Warren-Xx: Lindsay, your character talks about fate and destiny a lot on the show. I was wondering if you believe in fate?

Travis_Schuldt: ::singing:: Do you believe in magic?
Lindsay_Korman: I believe that when people meet each other and have a special connection, that there probably is a reason for that, so in a sense, I guess you could call it fate. There are people that you meet and you wonder if you've met them before, and you want to remain in contact with them. So I guess, in a sense, I do.

guest-nathan: What have been the most fun scenes to tape?

Travis_Schuldt: For me, the stuff we did in the cabin. That was a blast!
Lindsay_Korman: Yeah, we had a lot of fun.
Travis_Schuldt: It was like really fun scenes, The scenes are written to be flirty and fun and playful and light, and we just went with it and had fun.
Lindsay_Korman: We had a beautiful set to work on too - the cabin stuff set was just amazing, and big. It was our first time on that particular set, and the material that we had gave us a chance to play, instead of just being serious like we often are on the soap. But we had fun, and made food for each other, and had snowball fights. We talked about life, and it was snowing outside, and there were candles burning inside. It doesn't get much better than that!

Maddie3_155: Did you two have to do screen tests with each other before you got the job? How many call backs did it take before you learned you had landed the parts?

Lindsay_Korman: We did a screen test together. I think it was my third screen test - I only had three callbacks. They wanted to see our chemistry together.
Travis_Schuldt: I had three callbacks too.

llama-guest: Are you surprised by the success of the show? How has it affected your personal life?

Travis_Schuldt: I'm not really surprised - I think it's a unique show, and it's going in such a direction that nobody really has done before. So it doesn't surprise me that it works. I think it either was going to work, or not. As far as changing my life, I was at the mall the other day, and these little girls were like "OMG!! Where's Theresa?" It was cute! it was very cool, with these little awestruck girls. They were so excited. It was so cute!

Lindsay_Korman: I was in the grocery store the other day, and at that time, the engagement ring was stuck on Theresa's finger. I didn't have a ring on, and this woman kept following me around the store. finally she said to me "Where's your ring?" I said "I took it off!" It was funny. At the mall, sometimes I'll walk by, and even with my hair up and no makeup, and sweat pants and top, these girls will stare at me. Then fifteen girls, around 15 years old, will cluster around me and start getting all excited and happy and asking me questions about Ethan. It's so cool to make people happy! and that's what we want.

EZGuest740: Do you think the show puts a positive influence on teens?

Travis_Schuldt: Yes, you should definitely be into witchcraft and try to kill people that are after your boyfriend!
Lindsay_Korman: It's a soap opera though, and kids watching it know that. It's like a movie.
Travis_Schuldt: Exaggerated reality. It's drama. Heightened drama, based on reality, but tweaked a bunch. Everything is very high-risk and very important.

silverbelle_825: Are you going to participate in the charity softball game?

Travis_Schuldt: You betcha! I don't know what my position will be, but I'll be there!
Lindsay_Korman: I'm going to help out and cheer.

PassionsLover2003: Do you guys know when we'll be seeing the casting call winners on Passions? Have they started working yet?

Travis_Schuldt: Maybe sometime this summer. We're still waiting to meet them too.

Passions4life-guest: Hi Travis and Lindsay, this is Kristin. Do you Respond to your fan mail and if so how long does it usually take you.

Travis_Schuldt: I'm getting to it!! I will, I will!
Lindsay_Korman: I do as much as I can. I try.

Maddie3_155: Lindsay, congratulations for the SOD award nomination! Good luck to you! Will the entire cast of Passions be at the awards? I heard that Galen and McKenzie will be presenting an award. Can we expect any other Passions' stars to present?

Lindsay_Korman: Yes you can! I believe Donn Swaby, Brook Kerr, and Lena Cardwell will be presenting an award and yes, the whole cast will be there.

Abercrombie4chs: Lindsay, you are a very attractive person, would you ever consider modeling? My mom thinks you are gorgeous!

Lindsay_Korman: Abercrombie and your mom, thank you very very much! I don't know, maybe... maybe not.

Ethan-Theresa-Fan244: Travis, will you have your own website anytime soon?

Travis_Schuldt: Yes, I will. I don't have it yet - there are some out there, but I don't have anything to do with them as yet.

Maddie3_155: Recently, Galen and McKenzie went on a promotional tour in NYC. Can we expect the same type of public promotions from you two in the future?

Lindsay_Korman: Hopefully. We'd love to come to New York. I went this past November with Betsy Metcalfe, and did a promotional appearance. But I'd love to go back to the East Coast.

NBC: Our time is up for tonight. Thanks, Travis and Lindsay, for being with us! Any last thoughts for our audience?
