Angel: "Slouching Toward
Bethlehem"
Immediately
after viewing this episode, I was in tears. Cordelia is finally back
with Angel, but she has no memory. Angel and the rest of the gang try
to convince her that she is safe and among friends, and it works...for a
little while. Angel takes her to her room in the Hyperion (as she has
no apartment anymore), and he leaves her there to be alone. She looks
at a picture of herself, Angel, and baby Connor. Later, she asks if
she is the baby's mother. Angel tells her that Connor is his son, but
Cordy's not Connor's mother. Cordy then asks if Angel and she were
together, and then they almost KISS! He says "not exactly," and that's
the end of the happiness. Cordy gets freaked about Angel's vamp face,
and they have to tell her everything about demons and her life and all of
it, and she gets scared and trys to run away, but Angel convinces her to
stay. However, a demon in the hotel tries to kill her, and Connor saves
her. She goes with him to his little makeshift apartment, and she decides
to stay there. Wolfram & Hart is after her, and Connor gropes her!
SICK. SICK SICK SICK. Angel helps Connor save her from W &
H, but she tells Angel that Connor is the only one she trusts and that she
wants to stay with him. Shoot me. To be fair, Cordy looked pretty
peeved when she realized where Connor's hand was, but still. Angel
and Cordy are apart, and Connor is getting in the way. It's disgusting.
NEXT WEEK: More of the SICKFEST. Connor is yet again having trouble
keeping his hands where they belong. Cordy looks uncomfortable, so
let's hope she punches him in his stupid face and breaks his pretty little
nose.

Angel: "House Always Wins"
Yikes!
Okay, so the actual episode was dumb. Fang Gang running around Las Vegas.
But Cordy was actually in this ep! She was watching Angel and talking
to him, and she said she loved him! And then she used her power to
help him save Gunn and Fred and Lorne. AND, she's back. She's
back! She's got amnesia and doesn't know who any of the people are,
but she's back! I was happy. I can't wait for next week.

Angel: "Ground State"
Oh. Crap.
Cordy is still not back, and in the process of stealing an artifact that
will allow Angel to find out where she is, he meets this retarded electro-girl
Gwen. He fights her for the artifact and then she touches him and his
heart starts beating. His immediate reaction to this? He makes
out with her! I think we're goin' down, folks. I don't understand
why he had to kiss her. I mean, at least he said he loved Cordy in
this ep, but that wasn't even that enthusiastic. Then, when he finally
found Cordy, he was all "She's where she belongs...up there, doing good.
I'll miss her, but she's already home." And of course, Cordy is all
"WTF? Get me out of here!" This isn't looking good, people.
NEXT WEEK: the Gang goes to Vegas to visit Lorne.

Angel: "Deep Down"
I missed AtS
so much. This episode was good, but bad at the same time. Cordy
is still stuck up in the 'higher realm' and she's really bored. Angel
finally got out of the box, but while he was in it he was having dreams about
Cordy! Yay! He dreamed of having everyone back together and having
a relationship with her, and he also dreamed of how the Point Dume thing
from last season's finale would have turned out if she'd shown up and Connor
hadn't. So cute. She told him that she was in love with him and
had been for a very long time, deep down. Then there was kissing and
it was sad. I love them so much. I can't wait until Cordy gets
out of the swirly light place and gets into Angel's arms.

Angel
episode: "Benediction"
News: Wooooooohooooo!
Okay, so Cordy is still being Supportive!Cordy and helping Angel through this
difficult time with his son. Yay! And Groo is really, really
starting to get a clue that Cordy doesn't love him. She loves Angel.
Basically, Cordy gave lots of "I love you" looks to Angel, she talked to
him a lot, she loves Connor and Angel knows it, and they were just generally
adorable the whole episode. At one point, she was lying on his bed,
barefoot, in a rather suggestive position while he sat in a chair and talked
to her. Cute! There was this other part where he came in with
bruises on his face from a fight with Connor, and she brushed her fingers
lightly over his cheek. I almost died. Also, Cordy now has the
ability to go back into her visions and see how they end. She watched
Connor and Angel play around like father and son after they defeat the baddies.
She smiled so brightly at Angel when she told him she saw it all, I giggled.
It was a really, really good ep. NEXT WEEK: Cordy finally leaves Denial
Land!

Angel
episode: "A New World"
News: Well,
because tonight's episode was basically the Connor & Angel Hour, there
really wasn't anything C/A. However, Groo is starting to pick up on
the obvious, and he's getting jealous of Angel! Woohoo!
4/29/02
Angel episode:
"The Price"
News: Whew!
Okay, so Cordy is now back and totally in the old swing of things except for
one tiny detail: Groo is still hanging around. However, in this excellent
episode, Cordy and Angel have a venting session. Cordy gets Angel to
talk briefly about his feelings of frustration about losing Connor, and we
finally see Cordy get upset about the whole situation. She is mad at
Angel for not calling her, and she misses Connor. Then, later on, Fred
wants Cordy to talk to Angel about Wesley, but Cordelia says she won't because
Angel's feelings are all she cares about. Angel is her priority.
Groo overhears her! Of course, she tries to assuage his uneasiness
by saying something about Angel being her "work" priority and Groo being
her "other stuff" priority, but it still feels a little bit off. So,
the rift between Groo and Cordy is beginning to form! In the end, Cordy
stays with Angel to fight off the evil slug things that have invaded the
hotel while everyone else goes to get more help. Cordy uses her demon
powers to kill the slugs! She gets very glowy and pretty and then the
slugs are gone. Yay! AND...at the very end, Connor appears in
the Hyperion lobby through the portal Angel opened with his black magic spell
in "Forgiving." Connor wants to kill Angel! Scary...

Angel episode:
"Double Or Nothing"
News: Welllllll...there
was definitely some nice C/A stuff, but not nearly as much as I'd hoped.
See, Cordy did come back and she did go comfort Angel over the loss of Connor,
but Groo is still hanging around, and from the looks of it, he'll be sticking
around for a while...kinda like a scab. Anyway, she gave him this little
hug and said that she was "just here." Then she sat with him all day,
just to be with him. When he finally opened up to her (TO HER!), she
was totally there for him. It was wonderful to have her back again.
I am a bit worried about the future of C/A, though...
4/15/02
Angel episode:
"Forgiving"
News: Well,
because Cordy was still (still!) not back, there wasn't much. However,
Angel was quite adamant about not calling Cordy and upsetting her with the
news about Connor and Wesley and everything. NEXT WEEK: Cordy's very
emotional return. :)
3/4/02
Angel episode:
"Sleep Tight"
News: Basically,
C/A-ness was zero, zippo, nada, nothing. It's probably because Cordy
wasn't there at all. Also, there was too much going on for C/A to be
important. Holtz is gone, and he took Connor, and Lilah is on Angel's
tail, and Wesley betrayed them, and Justine slit Wesley's throat, and we
don't know what's going to happen, and we have to wait FIVE WEEKS. I
think I'm gonna die.
2/25/02
Angel
episode: "Loyalty"
News: Angel
only mentioned Cordelia a few times toward the beginning of the ep, but what
he said was laced with jealousy! Of course, I wouldn't expect there
to be much C/A in this ep because it was so traumatic otherwise. Angel
can't kill Connor! And Wesley can't go insane! :(
2/18/02
Angel
episode: "Couplet"
News: This has
got to be the saddest episode of Angel I've ever seen.
Angel spends most of the episode being really, really jealous of Groo, and
Cordy spends the entire time being a moron. She has got to be the biggest
ninny ever. Anyway, at the end, Angel decides to be adorable and oh-so-noble,
and he gives Cordy some money and a few weeks off to take Groo somewhere
and be with him. My heart broke for Angel. I can only hope that
Cordy will come to her senses sometime very soon. :(
2/4/02
Angel
episode: "Waiting in the Wings"
News: Whoa.
While I realize that Cordy and Angel were possessed, it was still wonderful.
You know things are progressing beautifully when kissing is no longer an Earth-shattering
development. They kissed and petted and...well, you get the point.
I giggled and squealed through 75% of the ep. It was just so...cute.
Also, Angel(the real, unpossessed Angel) tried to confess his feelings to
Cordelia, but she is 1) completely NOT getting it and 2) too busy fawning
over Groo. Yes, you read correctly. The hunk 'o meat himself,
the Groosalugg from Pylea, has returned to plague us. Suck. However,
I have high hopes for the next new ep, "Couplet." Very high hopes.
1/21/02
Angel
episode: "Provider"
News: Hmm, very
cute scene where Cordy and Angel are on Angel's bed with baby Connor in between
them. Plus, the ep was full of Concerned!Cordy. She wanted to
make sure Angel kept sight of the mission.
I hope all
you C/Aers watch "Waiting in the Wings" on February 4th! It's gonna
be really good.
1/14/02:
Angel
episode: "Birthday"
News: 1 kiss, 1
hug, one very worried Angel, and one very devoted Cordy. In a bit of
an Alternate Universe ep, Cordelia is given the choice of being a famous actress
or having the visions and her history with Angel. Of course, she chooses
to have the visions and be with Angel(and gets herself a little bit of demon
blood in the process). Why is this important? Angel is really
starting to realize his deep feelings for Cordelia. He was terrified
that she might die because of the visions. Cordelia may also be on
the path to realization. In the AU, she KISSES
a tormented Angel to take the visions from him. There is also an emotional
embrace between the real Cordy and the real Angel when he sees that she is
okay at the end of the ep. Plus, Angel gives Cordy a "personal gift,"
nearly letting it slip that she is THE most important person in his life.
Overall, very big steps were made. The nice thing about it is that
Cordy has full memory of her choice and the kiss!
