Rachel’s parents have gone through a bitter divorce with her stuck in the middle. You just have to look at TOW The Two Parties. This probably happened though because her mum wanted to be like her new self-sufficient daughter. Rachel also has two sisters whom she isn’t close to- one we’ve never seen, but the other one we know as Jill who we saw in Season 7. Jill is exactly the same as the early Rachel, dependent on her father. But she couldn’t do the independent thing like Rachel did, instead she dated Ross before getting out of NY city altogether!

Rachel’s gone through a lot in the love department too! Her ex’s include Italian Paolo, Michael, Screamer Tommy, Russ the Ross look-alike, Tag Jones, Yeti Danny, Joshua and Ross Geller- (see here for more). It’s the Ross relationship that’s been the most high-profiled and it’s not definitely over. They’ve broken up, got married, got back together and loads more!

Now lets get back to that job of hers… She started off as a coffee house waitress, before quitting on the advice of Joey and Chandler. She then went on to work at Fortunada Fashions, an assistant, then a personal shopper at Bloomingdales, and now she’s ended up at Ralph Lauren, Her dream to work in fashion definitely achieved!

Well to round off, this ditzy, sweet, a little spoiled at times, independent woman is now on her way to a great future. She’s changed so much from a scared little girl in a soaking wet wedding dress, and is now on her way to the top!
