Ross Geller
Ross was a typical good boy when growing up and in ways still is. He couldn’t put one foot wrong in his parents’ eyes, which could be annoying for his little sister Monica. Jack, and especially Judy Geller thought of their boy as a prince. In high school he a bit of a nerd- going to computer camp, getting top grades and even telling the teacher on the cheaters. In college he got a little cooler. College was where he met his good friend Chandler (whom he formed a band with) and his future wife number one-Carol.
Carol was his first love and the first woman he was with. They got married right after graduation and were married for seven years. Then they got divorced after encountering a problem-Carol discovered she was a lesbian! Not only that, but she was expecting Ross’ baby and wanted to bring him up with her now wife, Susan. Susan and Ross haven’t exactly had a friendly relationship, but made it up in time to rush to the birth of baby Ben. This break up left him quite paranoid about his relationships. The next girl he had his eye set on was Rachel-his crush from years ago. But he never had any courage to do anything about it. When Rachel did find out, Ross was in China meeting Julie. Julie was his next love and a big part of his life. But then he found out that Rachel had feelings for him. He was shocked, but he knew what to do. (See here for more). He finally got together with Rachel after a few false starts and they had a great time, until he became paranoid, jealous and they broke up. Other girlfriends he’s had include Bonnie, Cheryl, Janice (!), Elizabeth and Rach’s sis Jill. He also married Brit chick Emily in a whirlwind wedding taking place in London. It didn’t last long so then there was divorce number two! With Vegas came marriage number three-the wife being a drunk Rachel Green. That didn’t last long either so then there was divorce number three.
Ross Geller is a palaeontologist, a dinosaur freak. He even has a dinosaur watch, checks, and tie! He used to work at the museum of natural history, but due to his rage problems, got fired. Instead now he is working as a professor at New York University. His good boy image has lessened, as he’s got older.
To sum up, Ross is one of the most experienced. He’s been through marriage, divorce and has a son. He always has to right and is as competitive as his sister. He can be annoying at times and nerdish, but if he weren’t like that, he wouldn’t be Ross!
