Chris stairs at Courtney a little dumb struck and confused. 
Chris: Courtney that money I gave him is rightfully his I''m not plotting anything. 
Courtney laughs and looks at him acusingly. 
Courtney: Yeah and next you're going to tell me that you tried to worn the Scanlon's about what Devlin was going to do to Frank! Give me a break Chris! Since when do you give a damm about Frank and what he deserves! 
Chris sighs a bit anoyed 
Chris: Since I saw what Joe nearly did to Karen and I realized I'd done the exact same thing to Frank. Only in my case no one stopped me. 
Courtney: You once told me you'd never underestimate me but that I'd underestimated you. Well I'm not going to make that mistake twice! 
Chris sighs exsaperatedly 
Courtney: Oh come on Chris did you really think you weren't going to get questioned about this! You don't just go around doing the right thing you know! 
Chris: Okay Courtney since you think you know my mind so well tell me just what the heck is my master plan! I just admited to drugging someone! If Frank wanted to he could have me tossed in jail and or have me loose my medical liecence! What the heck kind of scam is that! As for the money I wrote the check and gave it to him I did this in a public place! How on earth is that a scam! 
Courtney is stopped in her tracks for a minute and thinks 
Courtney: Well first off the only person you admited anything to was Frank and his reputation is still being rebuilt so I'm not so sure how many if anyone would even believe him. 
Chris: Oh come off it Courtney! Franks reputation is completly intact these days and you know it! After the way he worked out the custody battle for Christina people around here adore him! Everyone knows I'm a conman it's not a hard jump to make. Besides I've admited it to you to. 
Courtney: Oh yeah I'm really trusted in this town! 
Chris: Courtney what do you think my plan is or are you just swinging blind on this! 
Courtney's jaw gose riged 
Courtney: I think you're planning that as soon as Frank cashes this check he's going to get arrested. 
Chris: For what! 
Courtney: For robbing you! You're going to say that he stole your money! 
Chris practily burst out laughing 
Chris: Courtney that is the most rediculous thing I've ever heard! First of my signeture is on that check, any hand writing analizer worth anything would be able to confirm I wrote it! Secondly what the heck would my motive be! You know I don't ever work with out a motive! I wouldn't be getting any money that I didn't start out with, I have no reason to want revenge on Frank he's been great to me. Courtney he's letting me see Christina why would I risk it! You know as well as I do if I did something like that I'd probubly never see Christina again. I'm not in any kind of trouble where I'd need to use him as a skapegoat. If anything after what he knows now I should be extra nice to him since he could destory me with one call to the police. 
Courtney stairs at Chris starting to believe he may be seareus. 
Courtney: Chris you can't expect me to not question this after everything you've done. I love Frank more then I can even explain. He is my world, the father of my children and my future husband. His life is finelly getting back on track I just don't want to see him get hurt. 
Chris sighs seeing the concern and love in Courtney's eyes. 
Chris: I understand Courtney, but really this is exactly how it looks okay. I realized what a horrible person I had been and wanted to change. I realized what I'd done to Frank and wanted to make it right. So I apoligized and gave him the money that he is intitled to. But I do understand what you're saying. Tell you what I'm going to do 
Chris looks around and sees Eve still working away at the nurses station. 
Chris: Eve 
Eve looks up 
Chris: Eve can you please come over here for a minute. 
Eve puts down her file and walks over to them. 
Courtney: What are you doing? 
Eve: What's going on? 
Chris: Eve I've decided I want to be a better person and turn over a new leaf. Now in order to do that I feel I need to pay for my misdeeds and apoligize to those I've hurt. 
Eve: Makes sence 
Chris: Problem is as Courtney has been pointing out to me is that I''m not trusted. So anything I say or do seems like a con. Now Courtney is afraid that what I've done today is a set up to hurt Frank. The fact is that's not true, however she is very worried about it. So here is what I'm going to do. I'm going to tell you what I did to Frank awhile back and what I did today to make up for it. That way if anything happens to Frank, Frank and Courtney will have you as a wittness to this so that you can help protect him. 
Eve looks at Chris a tad confused then back at Courtney. 
Eve: Okay. 
Chris: You remember Lark's 18th birthday party 
Eve nods 
Eve: yeah that was the night Frank picked a fight with you right? 
Chris: Not exactly. You see Eve I was desperate to get a skapegoat. If you recall I was in big trouble cause of the flue out break and I needed someone to take the fall for me. So knowing that Frank at the time was a lie drug addict and no one would believe him I brought some anphetimeans to the party and slipped them into Franks drink. 
Eve gasps in horrer 
Eve: Oh My God! Chris you really did it! All this time I thought Frank was making that up! Oh Chris that's awful! 
Chris looks down sadly and nods 
Chris: I know I know it's one of my biggest regrets these days and I'm very ashamed of it. I'm just so thankful Frank has been able to rebuild his life. Yesturday when Joe tried to drug Karen it put a big mirror infront of me and I hated what I saw. I realized what horrible person I''ve been and what horrible thigns I've done. I knew before I could have any hope of a relationship with Karen I had to make things right with Frank. So today I went to Frank and I admited to him what I had done and apoligized. He was grashus enough to except my apoligy. Anyway I didn't feel that was enough. You see the fact is Frank was a victem in the whole dl-56 mess. He was turned into a ginny pig and then I regretibly kept him one. There for he is intitled to at least half of the DL-56 profits. So today after apoligizing I gave him what is rightfully his which is a check for 100 million dollers. 
Eve gasps and stairs at Chris for a minute in disbelief. 
Eve: That's uh Oh uhm okay well that's very generus of you Chris. I''m glad you did that. I mean it is his money and after what you did and all. Wow that's great Chris I'm so glad you are turning over a new leaf. But Uh I really think you need to tell Karen everything you've told me. Secrets can kill a relationship and this is, especially with what happend to her yesturday, this is big. 
Chris: I deffinetly plan to tell Karen. Infact I'm going to tell her tonight. I want to start this off right. 
Chris then looks at a stuned Courtney 
Chris: Well now what do you think. I've told Eve everything and I'm going to tell Karen. So there is no possible way I could do anything to Frank with this. So do you believe me now? 
Courtney looks at him then back at the check then back at him. 
Eve: Courtney I think it is ligit but I understand your concerns. Listen if anything happens to Frank I promis I'll be there. 
Courtney nods 
Courtney: I uh I don't really know what to say. I uh thankyou I guess I uh thankyou 
Chris smiles 
Chris: You're welcome and I hope Frank knows what a lucky guy he is to have such a protective girlfriend. 
Courtney blushes. 
Courtney: thanks, but you can't blaime me for thinking the worst. 
Chris chuckles 
Chris: No I can't. 
Courtney: Well I better go bye 
Chris: Bye 
Courtney heads off Eve just stairs at Chris 
Eve: I think I''m in shock 
Chris: Eve I know it was probubly one of the worst things if not the worst thing I''ve ever done. Believe me I'm sick over it. 
Eve: Not that I mean that's horrible yes but I can't believe you handed over that kind of money! 
Chris looks at Eve seareusly 
Chris: You know between Julie, Karen, and Christina I've really come to see just how little money matters. 
Chris walks away leaving a stunned Eve stairing after him. 
Frank and Neil are playing a vidoe game together at Neil is winning big time, when the phone rings. 
Frank: Ahh saved by the bell 
Frank jumps up and runs for the phone 
Neil: Chicken! 
Frank laughs 
Frank: Hello 
Lucy: Hi Frank it's Lucy how are you doing? 
Frank: Hey Lucy I'm doing good just getting my butt kicked at this new vidoe game Neil has. How are you doing? 
Lucy laughs 
Lucy: Oh I'm doing okay. He plays pretty good huh. 
Frank: I think he could have a carier here 
They both laugh 
Frank: So what can I do for you? 
Lucy: Well as you know I'm expecting 
Frank: Oh that's right how are you feeling? Is the baby doing okay? 
Lucy smiles at Franks concern she shakes her head wondering how she could have ever been so wrong about someone. 
Lucy: Well right now everything is fine, but since I've had so many misscarages I'm taking a bunch of extra percautions. 
Frank: That makes sence. What has your doctor suggested? 
Lucy: Well she hasn't suggested anything. She has this misguided notion that everything is fine. But I've had to many misscarages to believe that so I''ve put myself on total bed rest till I''m 34 weeks along. 
Frank: Wow that's along time. Are you sure it's nessiary? I mean Lucy I'm sure these doctors know what they are doing. 
Lucy sighs 
Lucy: If that was true I wouldn't have lost 3 children already. I can't and won't put myself through that again. If they won't help me and my baby then I will. 
Frank here's the fear and sadness in her voice. 
Frank: I understand it's okay Lucy take a deep breath everything will be okay. 
Lucy takes a deep breath and sighs 
Lucy: You're right it will be. Because I'm going to take ever percaution and leave nothing to chance. 
Frank: How can I help? 
Lucy: Well Serena is coming over tonight but with me in bed I'm afraid I won't be able to offer her much entertainment. And I was wondering since Neil and Serena are best friends. 
Frank smiles 
Frank: I'm sure Neil would love to spend the night you know how he loves spending time with Serena. Hold on 
Frank turns to Neil 
Frank: Neil you want to go over to the light house tonight and spend the night with Serena and Christina 
Neil: Yeah that would be awsome 
Frank: Lucy he'd love to so what time should I drop him off? 
Lucy: Would 5:30 be okay? 
Frank: Sure no problem it will give Courtney and I the chance for a romantic evening. We won't have much time for those once she has the baby. 
Lucy smiles 
Lucy: Well enjoy 
Frank: Thanks take care Lucy 
Lucy: You to Frank 
They hang up. Frank sighs worriedly and stairs at the phone for a minute then comes back to the couch. 
Neil: What's going on? Is everything okay? 
Frank: Yeah Lucy is just really scared that the baby she is pregnant with right now is going to die. 
Neil: How come? 
Frank: Well she's been pregnant several times before and aside from Serena every one of them has died. 
Neil: But that won't happen again right? 
Frank sighs 
Frank: Well I sertenly hope it won't but the thing is we really don't know. It's kind of like your remision we hope it lasts forever but we have no way of knowing that it will. Even though everything is okay now it might change. So even though Lucy's baby is okay right now that could change to and she's really scared. 
Neil nods understandingly. 
Neil: When I first went into remision this time I was really scared to. I kept wondering if it was going to come back and get me. 
Frank: Are you still scared? 
Neil thinks 
Neil: Kinda I just try not to think about it. I figure I'm not sick now so I should just enjoy my life. 
Frank smiles 
Frank: And that is exactly what you should be doing. 
Frank tossels Neil's hair. 

Jill has just arrived at work and is looking over some files at the nurses station when Gabrialla walks up. 
Jill: Hi Gabrialla sorry I'm late I had somethings I had to take care of. 
Gabriella: You mean like waiting on that monster you call a boyfriend. 
Gabriella scoffs. 
Jill sighs 
Jill: No no he really isn't that bad Gabi he was trying to do the right thing 
Gabriella slams down her file and looks at Jill in uter amazment 
Gabriella: Jill how on earth can you say that! The man nearly got a great doctor fired and as if that wasn't bad enough he could have killed her! You are a nurse you are sworn to help heal not help hurt! 
Jill: But Gabriella you don't understand she isn't a great doctor 
Gabriella: And just who gave you the right to decide that! Jill Karen is an incredible doctor her skills are impecible her bed side manner remarkible and her knowledge untutchable. 
Jill: Yeah and she's a junkie 
Gabriella: Not that it's any of your business but she's been clean now for months and the only reason she went back on it in the first place is cause Joe drove her to it. But even if that wasn't the case it isn't your place to interfear especially when it can cause major hurt and destruction for many. He could have killed a paitent Jill. He almost did! The only reason he hasn't is cause Chris was on his toes. I don't get you Jill I really don't 
Jill: Look I love him and I trust him! He is doing the right thing and I'm going to stand by him! 
Gabriella comes near her and looks at her seareusly 
Gabriella: Then don't be suprised when he grows tired of you and turns on you like he did Karen if you find yourself standing alone. 
Gabriella walks off leaving Jill watching her go. 
Jill: I already am I already am. 

Lee is sitting on the couch going over some law breifs when Gail comes in. Lee smiles and stands. 
Lee: Well there is the love of my life. 
He pulls Gail and kisses her softly. Gail smiles looking up at Lee. 
Gail: Well now isn't that a wonderful welcome home. Where is Serena? 
They sit down on the couch 
Lee: Oh she's upstairs getting ready to go over to Lucy's. 
Gail sighs worriedly 
Lee: Gail is everything okay? 
Lee gently rests his hand on Gail's arm. 
Gail: Oh Lee I went over to see Lucy today and she just isn't doing well. 
Serena: What's wrong with Mom? 
Lee and Gail jump not realizing Serena had come into the room. 
Gail: Oh well hello there sweet heart come sit down here with Grandpa and me. 
Serena worridly sits between Gail and Lee. 
Serena: You said my mom isn't doing well what's wrong with her? Is she sick 
Gail: Oh no sweet heart she's not sick 
Serena: But something is wrong? 
Gail: Well you remember when you and your Daddy first came to Port Charles and Lucy was pregnant 
Serena nods 
Serena: Yeah her and Kevin were going to have a baby but it was born to early and had to go to heavan. 
Gail: Well don't you have a good memory. That is absolutly right. 
Serena: Daddy says he thinks my mother is taking care of mom's baby. 
Lee and Gail smile at each other. 
Gail: Well I think that is a wonderful thought and I bet she is. 
Serena: But what dose this have to do with what's wrong with mom now? She hasn't lost her baby has she? 
Gail: Oh no no the baby is okay. But you see that baby she lost with Kevin it wasn't the first baby she has lost. Your mom has lost several babies. 
Serena: Wow that's awful. Why did they all die? 
Gail: Well sweet heart no one knows. The doctors can't seem to find a reason for her to be loosing these babies. 
Serena nods 
Serena: Mom must be scared that this one is going to die also. 
Gail: Yes sweet heart she's very scared. She thinks that this baby is going to die to and she is very scared. She has decided to stay in her bed until only a few weeks before the baby is supposed to come and she's propped her feet up way high to see if she can keep the baby from coming to soon. 
Serena: She's not getting out of her bed? 
Gail nods 
Lee: Did the doctors recomend that? 
Gail: No Lucy won't listen to them. They didn't stop her other miscarages so she dosn't trust them with this pregnancy. She's taking matters into her own hands. 
Serena: Are the doctors bad? 
Gail: No no they are not bad huney it's just that they are humane and they don't have all the anwerse. 
Lee: And because they don't she won't listen to them anymore? 
Gail: Not with the baby. She's locked herself away. 
Serena: Maybe if I talked to Mothers star she'll help Lucy not loose the baby and not be afraid 
Gail: Well you know I think that just might help. 
Serena: I'll go talk to her star right now then we can go. Mom needs me now. 
Gail: Well okay you go do that then I'll drive you over okay. 
Serena nods and runs upstairs. 
Lee: Is she going to be okay? 
Gail: Lee she is so panicked and jumpy not to mention scared I'm afraid she's going to talk herself into loosing the baby. 
Lee shakes his head sadly. Upstairs Serena is standing by her window looking up at the sky. 
Serena: Hi Mom I guess you know Lucy is having a baby. Well she's really scared cause all of her babies have died. She is really upset and well I was thinking maybe you could step in and help so she wouldn't loose the baby or be scared. Lucy dosn't deserve to loos her babies and she dosn't deserve to be scared. She's the best earth mom a girl could ask for. Come on mom she brought me into the world help help bring her baby into the world. I love you and I know if you can you'll help Lucy. 
Serena grabs her bag and runs down stairs. 

Courtney comes into the apartment and finds Frank reading a book on the couch. She runs over to him and jumps ontop of him knocking the book out of his hands and kisses him pationetly then just smiles at him as she sits on his lap 
Courtney: Hi 
Frank laughs 
Frank: Now that's what I call an enterance. 
They both laugh and Courtney playfully punches him in the arm. 
Frank: So did you see Chris? 
Courtney beams and Frank 
Courtney: Yes I most sertenly did and after a suvear intairigation and having him tell all to Eve I've come to the conclusion that the apoligy and the check our completly ligit. 
Frank smiles 
Frank: I told you. We're rich! Frank! 
Courtney: Yes you did but you can't blaime me for doubting Ramsey 
Frank smiles and brushes the hair out of Courtney's eyes. 
Frank: No I can't and I love you for it. 
Frank looks seareusly into Courtney's eyes 
Frank: Courtney I have spent my whole life fending for myself with little or no help. You are the first person to ever do something like this for me. I love you so much and I know I must be the luckest man in the world to have you in my arms. What you did for me today means more then you'll ever know. 
Courtney blushes as she wipes the tear from Frank's face 
Courtney: Well that was my pleasure. You know Frank I haven't had a whole lot go right in my life but having you by my side sertenly is one thing that deffinetly went right. 
Courtney strokes his face 
Courtney: And I will defend you with all I have. 
Frank kisses her softly 
Frank: I don't know what I did to deserve you but I'm glad I did it. 
Courtney smiles 
Courtney: Me to 
They laugh 
Courtney: Where is Neil? 
Frank: Oh he is getting ready for an overnight with Serena over at the light house. 
Courtney: You mean we will have the place to our selves 
Courtney's eyes flash, Frank grins devilishly 
Frank: It looks that way 
They kiss. 
Courtney: But why at the light house? I thought Lucy liked time alone with her girls when they are there? 
Frank sighs 
Frank: Lucy is terrified she is going to loose anuther baby, you know she's lost several, anyway she's baracaded herself in her room till her 34 week and dosn't want Serena to be bored. 
Courtney shakes her head sadly. 
Courtney: Poor Lucy i remember when we lost our baby. That was just once and I felt like I'd been shatered beyond repair. I can't even begin to imagen what Lucy is feeling 
Frank nods 
Frank: I know I just wish there was something we could do for her. 
Courtney: Well since I have had a miscarage maybe I could try to reasure her? 
Frank considers this 
Frank: Well i supose it couldn't hurt. 
Frank looks at his watch. 
Frank: I'd better get going I told Lucy I'd have Neil there around 5:30 
Courtney: Okay I'll pick Neil up tomarrow so I can talk to Lucy. 
Frank: Sounds like a plan. Neil come on! 
Courtney pulls the check out of her purse. 
Courtney: Oh and don't forget to cash this on your way home. 
Frank takes it and tucks it in his coat. 
Frank: I will be sure to cash it and then I'll hurry home so we can have some fun 
Frank smiles devilishly then kisses Courtney tenderly. 
Courtney: I'm going to hold you to that. 
Neil bounds into the room 
Neil: I'm ready, hey Mom 
He hugs Courtney 
Courtney: Hey kiddo so I here you have some fun plans tonight 
Neil smiles 
Neil: Yeah Serena and I always have a blast. 
Frank: Well we'd better get going 
Courtney: Okay behaive yourself Neil okay 
Neil: I will 
Neil races out the door with Frank at his heals. 

Eve is in her car driving over to Chris's place to help him get ready for his big date with Karen. She's got the radio on and is singing along when her cell phone rings. 
Eve: Hello? 
Scott: Hey there 
Eve smiles 
Eve: Hey yourself. So what are you doing? 
Scott: Oh just going over some new cases, and thinking about how much I love you. 
Eve smiles 
Eve: I love you to. 
Scott: Can you come over and rescue me from this work? 
Eve laughs 
Eve: Sorry Scotty you're going to have to fend for yourself for a little while longer. I''m on my way over to Chris's apartment. 
Scott: You're choosing Chris over me? 
Scott pretends to be hurt. 
Eve laughs 
Eve: No he just needs some moral support right now. 
Scott: How come? 
Eve: Well Chris and Karen are going out on their first official date tonight and it's also Chris's first date since Julie. 
Scott shakes his head 
Scott: That sertenly is a time for moral support. I remember how rough it was for me. I must have gone through my wordrobe 5 times, decided not to go 4 times, and was just a nurves reck 
Eve nods 
Eve: Yeah it's like jumping into a cold pool of water. So I'm going over to help him. 
Scott: That's good I'm sure he needs it 
Eve nods 
Eve: But tell you what as soon as I get Chris out the door how about I come over and rescue you from those cases. 
Scott smiles 
Scott: Is that a promis? 
Eve: Oh you can count on it. 
Scott: Well then I'll be looking forward to your arrival. 
Eve: I'll be looking forward to coming. I love you 
Scott: I love you to. So you think Chris is ready for this? 
Eve thinks for a minute 
Eve: Yeah I think so. The attraction and disire is there so I''m thinking yes. You know what's interesting is how Chris has changed. I'm not sure if it's because of Julie's death or Karen coming into his life but Chris is different now so I'm kind of flying blind at the moment. But yeah I think so. 
Scott: What do you mean he's changed? 
Eve: He's a better man then he was before. I don't really want to go into it on the phone but lets just say he's changed for the better and I think Karen just may have found a prince. 
Scott: Well my daughter sertenly deserves a prince. 
Eve nods 
Eve: Well if she finds one as half as wonderful as mine she'll be one lucky girl. 
Scott laughs 
Scott: Ah come on I'm no prince 
Eve: Well what ever you are it's something great. Oh Scott I'm just about at Chris's place I have to go. 
Scott: Okay I'll see you later love you. 
Eve: love you to bye 
They hang up. 

Karen is franticly going through her closet her stuff is everywhere when there is a nock at the door. Karen races to open it with her rob on and her hair wet and matted. Traci is standing there smiling. 
Traci: Looks like I didn't get here a moment to soon. 
She laughs Karen pulls Traci inside 
Karen: Help! Chris will be here in a little bit and I have no idea what I'm doing! 
Traci: Well first off you're going to calm down. Now take a deep breath and exhale. Okay now dosn't that feel better. 
Karen: A little I guess but Traci I have no clue what to wear! I want to impress him but I don't want to come on to strong. At the same time I don't want to play hard to get. I just want to look nice! 
Traci smiles 
Traci: Karen you have plenty of outfits that will do just fine. Now come on lets go see what we can find. 
Traci starts going through Karen's clothes. 
Karen: But what about my hair! Do I wear it up for down? Should I wear a skirt or a dress? How much jewlery is to much? 
Traci calmly takes Karen's hand in hers. 
Traci: Karen just relax okay one thing at a time. We still have plenty of time and we'll get all of it taken care of. It's just a date okay it's not anything more and it's not as if Chris dosn't know you and what you look like. 
Karen sighs 
Karen: But the fact is tonight is different. 
Traci: But that dosn't have to be a bad thing. Now come on lets get this show on the road. Everything is going to be fine you'll see. 
Traci hugs her friend and turns back to the clothes. 

Over at Chris's place Eve is sitting on the bed watching Chris as he franticly dresses. 
Chris: What do you think a royal blue shirt, or a red one? 
Eve: Collored shirts aren't really you Chris stick with white. 
Chris sighs 
Chris: Eve that isn't what Karen gose for and you know it! Both Jagger and Joe were blue coller! 
Eve: Yeah and both ended in disaster. I think a white colered guy maybe just what she needs. Besides Karen likes you the way you are. 
Chris sighs 
Chris: I just don't want to blow it 
Chris puts on his white shirt then starts looking at ties. Eve comes over and rests her hand on his arm. 
Eve: You won't Chris you won't. Karen really likes you and since you're already friends tonight should be fairly easy. 
Chris half laughs 
Chris: Yeah right up untill I tell her what I did to Frank 
Eve: Chris are you sure you want to tell her tonight? 
Chris starts struggiling with his tie 
Chris: Do I want to no but I need to. Eve if I have any chance with Karen I have to be completly honest and upfront with her. I can't waite for her to hear about this from soneone else. I'm sure Courtney and I wouldn't be surprised if Frank told her or someone else. 
Eve: Makes sence. But you know Karen is big on second chances and considering you have apoligized and payed Frank what is rightfully his I doubt there will be a problem. 
Eve streightens Chris's tie. 
Chris: So do you think tonight will go well? 
Eve: I think it will be nurves and uncomfortable and akward for a bit but I think it will be fine. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: I hope you're right. 
Chris then looks down at his wedding ring and sighs sadly. His mind flashes back to the day they had exchanged vows there in the visiters room of Ferncliff. A tear runs down his cheeck. Eve rests her hand on Chris's arm 
Eve: Hey Chris you okay? 
Chris: What? Oh yeah I'm fine I guess I was just thinking about Julie. 
Eve looks at Chris sympatheticly. 
Eve: It will get easier I just know it will 
Chris half smiles 
Chris: I guess I should take off my wedding band huh 
Eve: Only if you're ready to. 
Chris: I doubt I'll ever be totaly ready and since I'm starting to date I should. 
Eve: Chris this isn't a race take as much time as you need Karen will understand. 
Chris: I think I'm ready. 
Chris takes the ring off and stairs at it sadly for a minute then walks over to his closet and puts it in a cabnit in the back of the closet. Eve walks over and hugs him tightly. 

Mary is just about to leave work when she is paged to the nurses station. When she gets there Victor is standing there with roses. He hands them to her and kisses her. 
Victor: And how is the most wonderful woman alive doing? 
Mary smiles and kisses him back 
Mary: Much better now that you're here. So what do I owe this pleasure? 
Victor: We are going out on the town tonight Mary. 
Mary: We are? 
Victor: Oh yes it's been far to long since we went out and once the baby comes we won't be able to as much. Besides we have celebrating to do. Our baby is healthy, and Kevin called me Dad 
Victor smiles unable to hide his joy, Mary smiles lovingly 
Mary: Oh Victor that is wonderful. I new if you just gave him sometime he'd come around. 
Victor: it seems that way. So are you ready? 
Mary: I'm always ready for you. 
They kiss and head off. 

Karen is standing infront of the mirror as Traci puts the fineshing tuches on her hair. 
Traci: I think this half up half down look really works. It's simple yet sophisticated. 
Karen: You think Chris will like it? 
Traci: He'd be a fool not to. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Thanks Traci I really appreceate everything you've done. 
Traci smiles 
Traci: all part of being a friend. There all done what do you think? 
Karen: I like it. But do you think Chris will like my out fit? Is a dress to much for the first date? Maybe I should have worn brown instead of royal blue? Do you think speggetti straps would be better then these short sleaves? Is this V-neck to old fashoned? Is the bottem of it to short? 
Traci laughs 
Traci: Karen for the hundreth time it looks wonderful. Blue is deffinetly your color, a v-neck is much more your style then a low neck, short is in, and on a first date short sleaves is better then spegetti straps. Now relax Chris will be here soon. 
Just then the door bell rings. Karen jumps 
Karen: Oh My God he's here! 
Traci laughs 
Traci: Will you relax! Take a deep breath and get yourself together. 
Karen: Okay okay I'm ready 
Traci: Good now I'm going to go. Have a great time and try not to worry. I'll talk to you later okay? 
Karen: Okay thanks again Traci 
Traci smiles 
Traci: Anytime 
They hug. Traci quickly leaves 
Chris: Oh Hi Traci is Karen ready? 
Traci: Hey Chris yeah she's ready come on in I was just leaving. Have a great evening. 
Chris: Thanks you to. 
Traci leaves Karen walks into the room Chris and Karen look at each other neither shore what to say. Both taken aback by the excited pounding in their hearts. 

Neil and Serena are sitting on the couch at the light house they have just fineshed watching toy story 2 
Serena: Awsome movie thanks for bringing it. 
Neil: yeah I really enjoyed it. my Dad rented it for us on the way over since he knows I'd been wanting to see it again. 
Serena: Your Dad is so cool 
Neil beems with pride. 
Neil: Yeah he is awsome. I'm just glad he's not like my uncle. 
Serena: Yeah your uncle is a real looser. Did you hear what he did to my sister. 
Neil looks concerned. He has had a crush on Karen for awhile. 
Neil: What did he do? 
Serena: He tried to hurt her but her real friends stopped him 
Neil shakes his head sadly. 
Neil: I can't believe I ever looked up to him. I'm glad they stopped him 
Serena: Me to. You know when everyone thought my Dad was dead he ssaid he'd take care of me. I remember thinking what a wonderful guy. Now I think he was probubly just after my Dad's money or something. 
Neil nods 
Neil: Probubly. 
Serena: Hey you want some ice cream? 
Neil: Sure do you think your Mom wants any? 
Serena shrugs. 
Serena: I'm not sure lets go ask. 
They run upstairs and nock on Lucy's door. 
Lucy: Come in. 
The kids come bounding in. Lucy is laying flat with her feet propped up as high as she can get them. 
Serena: Hey Mom 
Serena bends over and kisses her Mom. 
Neil: Hi Lucy 
Lucy: Hey you two. Are you having fun? Did you enjoy the movie? 
Serena nods happily. 
Serena: Neil brought Toy Story 2 over it was awsome! 
Neil: yeah it's one of my favorites. 
Lucy: So what are you kids up to now? 
Serena: We're going to get Aunt Charleen to make us some hot fudge sundays and we wanted to know if you wanted one. 
Lucy smiles gently 
Lucy: Well that is so sweet of you but I think ice cream probubly has to much sugar for me right now and Chocolate is out of the question till the baby is born. You know I have to be extra careful. 
Serena: So the baby won't die like the other ones did? 
Lucy looks at Serena a bit surprised 
Lucy: Who told you that? 
Serena: Grandma and Grandpa they said you're so scared that you barracaded yourself in here. 
Lucy: Well Serena you know there is nothing wrong with being careful. And sometimes if you don't want something bad to happen then you have to do alot of extra work. 
Neil: I know how you feel. When I first went into remission everyday I would wake up and wonder is today the day my Cancer is going to come back? It really shoock me up and scared me cause it was totaly out of my hands and out of my parants hands. I mean sure I'm in remision now but that could change at anytime. Then I'd have to go through all that pain and sickness again and I might die. It makes living hard when you're scared all the time. 
Lucy looks at Neil not sure what to say. 
Lucy: I bet that is hard. You seem like you're dealing with it okay now though are you? 
Neil shrugs 
Neil: Mostly. I still think about it now and then but you know the thing about being scared is that it slows you down and you can't enjoy your life. So anyways one day I was like what is the point of being in remision if I'm going to sit around worrying about something I have no controle over. I'm okay now so I should enjoy it. 
Lucy: Well that's a good way to look at it. I guess I'm lucky I can do something to protect myself. 
Serena: So this is really going to help? 
Lucy thinks 
Lucy: Well I hope so. 
Lucy is clearly uneasy. 
Lucy: Listen why don't the two of you go get those hot fudge sundays I'm going to go to sleep now okay. 
Serena: Okay mom sweet dreams 
Serena hugs and kisses Lucy. 
Serena: Goodnight to you to baby. 
Serena kisses Lucy's stomach gently Lucy smiles with tears in her eyes. 
Neil: Goodnight Lucy 
Neil pats Lucy's stomach. 
Neil: Stay in there kiddo. 
Serena and Neil bound out. Lucy sighs and wraps her arms around her stomach. 
Lucy: Oh baby please be okay. 
She then closes her eyes and drifts off to sleep. 

Courtney and Frank are sitting at the Port Charles grill enjoying a very fancy dinner. 
Courtney: Oh Frank his is so good. 
Frank: Well we can do this and much much more from now on. 
He smiles at Courtney. Courtney gets a worried expression on her face. 
Frank: Courtney what is it? 
Frank reaches across the table and takes her hand in his and squeezes it. 
Courtney: Frank I love you more then I new I ever could. 
Frank: I love you to. 
Courtney smiles. 
Courtney: And I cherish that fact. But Frank I just want to make sure you understand that my love doesn't grow or shrink dependent on the money we have. 
Frank: Courtney 
Courtney: Frank please hear me out. I know I married John for his money and when I came to port Charles all I wanted to do was get money one way or another. Then when we finely hoocked up all I wanted was what we couldn't afford. And yes I'm thrilled that Chris gave you what is rightfully yours and it's nice to know our kids will always have the best from now on. But Frank I really need you to know that My love for you is as real and as pure an emotion as one could have. And I love you no more or less this evening then I did this morning when we didn't have the money. I just never want you to think that I'm with you or loving you because of it. 
Frank smiles at Courtney lovingly. 
Frank: Courtney I love you I love you with everything I am everything I've ever been and everything I will ever be. I know you inside and out. I know all your strengths and all your weaknesses and I know that you love me. Courtney you wouldn't even let us except the check until you were absolutely certain it was legit. If you were still the same person who came to port Charles you wouldn't have thought twice about it. Courtney if you had anything to prove to me, which you didn't, but if you did you proved it today. I have never been looked after before like you looked after me today and let me tell you feeling that kind of love and concern well it made me realized how rich I really am. 
Frank takes Courtney's hand in his. 
Frank: I'm rich because you love me. 
Courtney smiles through her tears as she wipes her face. 
Courtney: Well you deserve the best Frank. You know before you I never really new what love was. But you taught me you taught me what it means to love and to be loved. How it feels to be trusted and wanted and that I can be a good person. And the kind of person people want to be around. I know this is going to sound hoecky but I'm everything I am because you love me. 
Frank shakes his head. 
Frank: I didn't teach you anything you didn't already know you just didn't know it was there. 
Courtney smiles lovingly at Frank. They lean across the table and kiss. 

Mac is buzy working away at the out back when Kevin comes in. He looks tired and stressed. Kevin plops down at the bar. 
Mac: Hey Mate can I get you something? 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: Scotch 
Mac raises his eyebrow 
Kevin: Wow you haven't drunk like that in along time. 
Mac pours his friend the drink 
Mac: What's the problem? Is work stressing you out? 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: No no I'm glad to be back. There are so many people that need my help and I like having my life back. 
Mac nods. 
Mac: So why so gloomy? Lucy hasn't miscarried has she? 
Mac looks worriedly at Kevin 
Kevin: No not yet. 
Mac: But you think she will? 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: I don't know. I hope not but well you know Lucy's record isn't exactly good. She's lost several babies and well 
Mac sees Kevin's hesitation 
Mac: Well what? 
Kevin: Mac she is so scared that she's going to have a miscarriage I'm starting to think she may talk herself into having one. 
Mac: Is that possible? 
Kevin: The mind is a powerful thing Mac. Sometimes we end up creating self forfilling proficies. 
Mac: Well what do her doctors think 
Kevin: She won't listen to them 
Mac: What?! 
Kevin: Mac they weren't able to stop her from loosing those other babies so she dosn't have any faith that they will stop her from loosing this one. 
Mac: Have you tried to reason with her? 
Kevin: Ofcourse I have so has Gail but you know Lucy when she gets an idea in her head 
Kevin shakes his head 
Mac: It's nearly impossible to break it loose. Is she doing anything that could endagner the baby? 
Kevin: No no not at all. Infact she's put her self on total bed rest and has propped her feet up till her 34 week 
Mac: Well that's extream I guess but if it helps I mean what can it hurt? 
Kevin: It's not her actions I'm worried about so much as her mind. As I said she is so scared I'm afraid she cause herself to miscarry just by the fear of it. And then there is the issue of what happens if she dose loose the baby. 
Mac: What do you mean? 
Kevin looks at Mac seareusly. 
Kevin: Mac she can't take anuther miscarriage. I mean it she will loos her mind maybe even her life is she looses this baby. 
Mac: Kevin I'm sorry I had no idea Lucy had become so fragil. 
Kevin: She's not normally but when it comes to pregnancy 
Kevin shakes his head. 
Mac: Hey maybe everything will work out 
Kevin: I hope you're right. 
Mac: So how are you doing through all this? 
Kevin thinks 
Kevin: You know I never wanted to be a father before I met Lucy. I figured I'd be awful about it. Even after I met Lucy I was not really wanting kids. I just figured I'd mess them up. Then Lucy got pregnant and I was so scared and excited but she lost the baby and I just kind of excepted it wasn't ment to be. But now 
Kevin shakes his head 
Mac: You've been given anuther chance. 
Kevin: And I want it more then I've ever wanted anything in my life. I just don't know what I'll do if something happens. 
Kevin rubs his head 
Mac: Hey you and Lucy will be fine. You've made it through so much what ever life has instore for you now I'm sure you'll make it through. 
Kevin: I hope you're right. Right now all I know is that Lucy is at home scared out of her mind and even with all my text books I don't know how to help her. Mac Lucy has rescued me and helped me so many times. She has been there for me in so many ways and protected and saved me so many times. Now when she needs me to help her I'm clueless! How can I deserve her when I can't even help her? 
Mac: Hey buddy it's not a contest okay. It's not like for every thing you do or everything she dose the other has to match or surpass it. 
Kevin: But at least once I'd like to be able to help her at least one tenth as much as she's helped me. I just want her to feel better I want her to be able to enjoy her pregnancy and not live in fear. I want her life to be joyus. She deserves that more then anyone I know. 
Mac: You already give her that Mate. 
Kevin: What are you talking about? 
Mac: Kevin I've known Lucy alot longer then you have and I've seen and heard it all. You have changed and helped her so much. You have given her so much. For the first time since she's been in Port Charles and maybe for the first time in her life she is content and happy and satisfied and that's because of you. 
Kevin: So why can't I help her now? 
Just then Felica walks up. 
Felica: Help who now? 
Mac: Help Lucy she's scared to death she'll miscarry again and has barracaded herself into her bed room till her 34 week. Kevin dosn't know how to help her. 
Felica nods 
Felica: Kevin do you know what the best thing Mac has ever done for me is? 
Kevin and Mac exchange a puzzled look 
Kevin: No 
Felica: He was there for me. Yes he has saved me and our girls and done a million wonderful things. But the thing that gets me through the hardest times the most is knowing he is there. Hearing him say he loves me and having him hold my hand. All Lucy needs right now is to know she's not alone and that she will never be alone. She just needs your support. Give her that and you'll have done all you need to. 
Mac: Really? 
Felica nods 
Felica: Mac the most important gift anyone can give in a relationship is support. Kevin think about it when you were at your worst what was it that Lucy did that ment the most. Was it her actions or her love. 
Kevin smiles 
Kevin: Her love 
Felica: Well there you have it. 
Felica smiles 
Mac: Makes sence to me 
Kevin: Well then I guess I know what to do. 
He quickly pays and leaves 
Mac: Did you mean that? 
Felica wraps her arms around Mac 
Felica: With all my heart 
They kiss 

Chris and Karen finelly arrive at their destination. Chris has had Karen keep her eyes shut for the last part of the ride. 
Karen: Are we there? 
Chris smiles 
Chris: Yep but I want you to keep your eyes closed just a little longer hold on. 
Chris quickly gets out of the car and comes around to Karen's side. 
Karen: Chris where are you? 
Chris: Right here just keep your eyes closed anuther minute. 
Chris helps Karen out of the car and turns her away from the car. 
Chris: OKay now open your eyes. 
Karen opens them and takes in her seroundings. They are up in the hills serounded by trees and flowers and picture perfect buety. The night sky is full of starts and they an here the crickets and a bird singing off in the distants. Near by is a small lodge. 
Karen: Oh Chris this is magnifisent. Where are we? 
Chris: I'm glad you like it. It's a cozy little out of the restaraunt I discovered sometime ago I thought you might like it. 
Karen turns twords Chris. 
Karen: I think it's wonderful. 
Chris: Shall we go inside? 
Karen nods she then takes his arm and he leads her up the narrow path to the little lodge. 
They sit down at a table near a fire place and gaze out the window at their buetiful surroundings. 
Karen: How did you of all people find such a quante little place? 
Chris: I am a man of many surprises. 
Chris beems 
Karen smiles 
Karen: I can see that. 
Chris: So did you ever think you'd be on a date with me? 
Karen blushes. 
Karen: You know Ramsey this may surprise you but there was a time when it did cross my mind. 
Chris nearly chokes on his water. 
Chris: What? When? Where? 
Karen tries not to laugh as he wipes the water from his shirt. 
Karen: No body snorts water through their nose like you Chris 
Karen starts laughing Chris dosn't know how to react first but seeing Karen smile at him makes him smile 
Chris: What can I say it's a talent. 
They both start laughing 
Chris: So tell me more about this crush you had on me? 
Karen laughs 
Karen: Well I don't know if it was a crush as much as a feeling. You remember back to the last nurses ball? Not this past June but the one before. 
Chris: When Lucy found Christina? 
Karen nods 
Karen: Remember that dance number all of us interns did? 
Chris: Yeah it was a pretty fun number though I was feeling a bit self conscious up there. I mean I'm not the dancing type. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Well you could have fooled me Ramsey. Remember our little dance during the number when you stroked my leg? 
Chris blushes bright red 
Chris: Oh that well uhm it was in the rootien. 
Karen: Yeah but when you tutched me like that what I felt was anything but rootien. 
Chris is a bit surprised 
Chris: Really? You felt something? 
Karen nods 
Karen: It was I don't know how to explain it but it was the strangest and one of the nicest sensations I've ever felt. I didn't want to admit to it at the time but since our relationship has changed I figure it's okay that you know that now. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: Well thankyou. 
Karen: Did you ever notice me? Never mind I'm sure you didn't. 
Chris raises his eyebrow 
Chris: Don't be so sure about that. 
Karen: Chris Ramsey when did you ever notice me? 
Chris: I noticed you when you faught for Joe after he was suspended for helping Audry, I noticed you when you injected yourself with a cure you didn't know would work and you didn't know what the side affects were. All you knew was it might save the lives of your patients and you had to try it to make sure. I noticed you when you reached out to Frank and helped him detox, and I noticed you when you wouldn't give up on Julie. I noticed you alot Karen. 
Karen: So what did you think all those times you noticed me? 
Chris: That you were one of the most loyal, noble, bravest, strongest and most understanding people this world has ever seen. That you had a goodness in you I'd never seen the likes of before. I new that anyone lucky enough to be your friend would nevef be alone. I was fasinated with you Karen. I wanted to know just how you managed to stay so unjaded and so good and decent given the kind of world we live in. And I hoped that you would always stay that way. 
Karen has tears in her eyes. 
Karen: That is so sweet I don't think I've ever been payed such a complement. 
Chris smiles and shrugs 
Chris: Just stating the facts. 
Karen: Can ask you something? 
Chris: Sure 
Karen: If you thought I was so good when I stood up for Joe why didn't you stand to? 
Chris: I agreed with your loyalty to your friend Karen I didn't agree with what Joe had done and team or no team I wasn't going to act like I did. Karen it is a mirrical that Joe's actions didn't kill Audry. None of us were qualified to do what he did. Yes her life was in danger and she needed help but I felt trying to intervien when we were still learning was just not the kind of help she needed. It's not that I didn't want to save Audry I did. And believe me If I had felt that we could do it succsesfully I would have jumped right in there. But the fact is I didn't feel we could. And I don't believe it was Joe who saved her. She was saved by Dr. Tony Jones and expereanced Nuerosurgen that not only had to repair the damage Cooper did but the Damage Joe did. Yes she hung on after surgery but you know what she probubly would have hung on with out his proseger to. 
Karen nodds 
Chris: I was trying to save her life to Karen I was trying to save her life by making sure that she was treated by someone who wasn't guessing on where to put the drill or needing suggestions from everyone in the room. Yes it worked out but I really to this day don't believe it was because of what Joe did. 
Karen: You know what you're saying makes alot of sence. I don't agree with it but I do understand what you mean. I never realized your reasons before I guess I just thought 
Chris: That I didn't care about Audry? 
Karen: No but 
Chris puts his hands up. 
Chris: Karen it's okay I understand. I came across as a real jerk so it was hard for anyone to give me a chance it's okay. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: You know you're pretty understanding yourself. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: I learn from the best 
Karen blushes. 

Scott is standing near Eve with the blind fold still on as she runs around. 
Scott: What the heck is going on? Can I take this off now? 
Eve: Pipe down you'll see in a sec I'm almost fineshed setting this up and no you cannot take it off yet. 
Eve fineshes at last and smiles at her work. 
Eve: Perfect! Okay now turn this way 
Eve gently turns him. 
Eve: Okay ready? 
Scott: Always 
Eve takes off his blind fold and he looks around. They are on the beech. The stars are shinning brightly, the waves are crashing gently against the shore. He looks at sees a cozy fire built in the sand and a quilt layed out with all sorts of goodies on it. He then turns towords Eve 
Scott: What is all this? 
Eve: All of this is for you and what it is is a beach picnic. Do you like it? 
Scott smiles and pulls her close 
Scott: I like everything you do 
They kiss. Eve pulls him down to the quilt. 
Eve: So you hungry? 
Scott starts nibiling on her neck as she starts filling the plates. Eve giggles. 
Eve: You are going to have to waite for desert to do that. 
Scott groans 
Scott: But how am I supposed to resist. Come on just a little nibble please 
Scott grins at her devilishly. Eve laughs and playfully hits him 
Eve: What am I going to do with you. 
She leans over and they kiss softly. Then she places and strawberry between her teeth and motions him near. He takes a bite off the and proceeds to start kissing Eve pationetly. They fall onto the quilt holding each other close as they tenderly coress one anuther. 

Mary and Victor are standing up on one of the highest look out points in Port Charles gazing over the city lights and out into the stary night. 
Mary: Oh Victor this is absolutly breathtaking. 
Victor: Ahh Mary my sweet it pales in comparison to you. 
Mary turns to him smiling. 
Mary: Can you make me a promis? 
Victor: Anything for you my dear. 
Mary: When I am huge and pregnant, and when it's 3 am and the baby is screaming and we haven't slept a wink will you still talk to me as sweetly as you do right now. 
Victor smiles and strokes Mary's face. Mary every day I spend with you I love you more, and when I don't think it's humanly posible to love more then I do at this very monent the next day I look at you and I do love you even more. So my dear I can garontee I will always have only the sweetest things to say to thee. For you are my heaven my earth and everything in between and this baby. 
Victor rests his hand on Mary's stomach. 
Victor: Is a celebration of our love so it can only bring sweetness from me. 
Mary has tears in her eyes. 
Mary: Oh Victor thankyou thankyou for making me the luckest woman in the world. 
They kiss tenderly. 

Lucy lays in bed tossing and turning somewhere between awake and asleep. She keeps having the same night mare. There is blood everywhere and her baby is gone. She can't stop crying and everyone is just shrugging their shoulders. She lays there in the dark clutching her stomach and crying as her fears like waves crashing against a helpless beach slam into her mind. Suddenly she hears a soft voice 
Dominque: Lucy 
Lucy opens her eyes and sees Dominque standing beside her bed looking at her with compasion. 
Lucy feels no fear and is surprised at how unstarteled she is. She can't help but think she is dreaming. 
Lucy: Dominque? 
Dominque smiles gently and nods then sits down on the bed and takes Lucy's hand in hers. 
Dominque: Yes Lucy I'm here I'm always here. But I thought right now you needed to see and hear me. 
Lucy has tears in her eyes 
Lucy: Oh boy have I missed you 
Dominque smiles 
Domique: Well I'm never far. 
Lucy: Serena is just perfect Dom. Your daughter is just perfect in everway. 
Dominque smiles proudly 
Dominque: I know and it's due in large part to you. 
Lucy: Oh no she's her mothers daughter plain and simple. 
Dominque: Yes and your love and devotion helped nurture that and bring out the best in her. I can never repay you for that. 
Lucy: Oh Dominque no you don't owe me anything it was a privilage to carry her and it's been an honner to be a part of her life. I feel so blessed to have her in my life. 
Dominque smiles 
Dominque: And she is blessed to have you. But that isn't why I'm here. 
Lucy: Why are you here not that I'm complaining but it's not everyday you have a conversation with your dead friend. 
Dominque laughs a little. 
Dominque: No it isn't is it. I''m here to give you a message and make you a promis 
Lucy looks intreaged 
Lucy: A message about what? 
Dominque: The babies you have lost 
Lucy looks very sad and uneasy at Dom. Dominque gently squezes her hand. 
Dominque: Lucy the first two babies you lost just weren't ment to be. They were very sick and would not have had any kind of real life. 
Lucy: Are they in heaven? Are they okay? What about Kevin's baby? 
Dominque nods 
Dominque: They are fine they are with me in heaven. I care for them as you do for Serena. As for Kevin's baby that one is being given back to you right now 
She gently strokes Lucy's stomach. 
Dominque: Lucy you will not misscarry this time. You are going to have a strong and healthy baby. 
Lucy has tears in her eyes. 
Lucy: Really Dominque are you sure really?! 
Dominque nods and brushes the tears from Lucy's face and smiles at her. 
Dominque: Yes I am watching over you Lucy and this baby is going to be fine I swear it. The last time this one tried to come the timing just wasn't right but now it is. 
Lucy: I've waited so long for this and prayed so hard. 
Dominque: And now it's time for you to get what you want. 
Lucy: So I should continue staying in bed? 
Dominque shakes her head 
Dominque: No Lucy there is no reason to. Get up out of bed and live your life. This baby is going to be okay. Don't deprive yourself of life or the excitment of pregnancy by locking yourself away. Please Lucy there is no need to. 
Lucy starts crying 
Lucy: I'm just so scared. 
Dominque hugs her. 
Dominque: I know I know but there is no need to be. This baby is ment to be and you are going to be fine. I'm here Lucy I will gaurd over you both. 
Lucy: Thankyou thankyou so much 
Dominque smiles 
Dominque: No thankyou. 
Dominque suddenly fades away and Lucy suddenly wakens with a start and sighs. 
Lucy: It was just a dream. Then she hears a voice in the night. 
Dominque: I'm here I'm here. 
Lucy smiles and strokes her stomach 
Lucy: We're going to be okay little one, we're going to be okay. 
She lays back and falls asleep. 

After an extreamly romantic evening of dinner, dancing and talking Chris and Karen arrive back at her place. 
Karen: I can't believe we are already back at my place. I feel like we just left. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: I know what you mean. I feel like this night has just flown bye. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Well lets not let it end just yet. How about if you come in for some coffie. 
Chris: I thought you'd never ask. 
Chris fallows Karen in. 
Karen: Make yourself comfortable I'll go make the coffie. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: Thanks 
Karren: You want anything in it? 
Chris: A little bit of cream. 
Karen nods and heads into the kitchen. Chris sits down on the coutch and rests his head back. The little voice inside him that has been nagging at him most of the night sneaks up on him again. Chris shakes his head tiredly he knows he must tell her the truth. He knows there is a risk he'll loose her, but he knows if he dosn't he'll loose her for sure. 
Chris: Okay Ramsey time for you to act like a man. 
Karen comes back over with the coffie and sits next to him smiling away. 
Karen: I hope you like hazelnut. It's one of my favorites and I threw all of Joe's coffies out. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: I like hazelnut. 
Karen: Good. 
Karen hands him a cup. She notices Chris suddenly seareus look 
Karen: Chris is everything okay? 
Chris sits the coffie down on the coffie table and takes a deep breath. 
Chris: It will be Karen put the coffie down please there is something I need to talk to you about. 
Karen quickly puts her coffie cup down and looks at Chris with Consern. 
Karen: What is it? 
Chris takes a deep breath 
Chris: You remember today when I asked you out I said that I had done something that I regreted deeply and was very ashamed of? 
Karen nods 
Karen: Yeah you said it was one of your biggest regrets and you didn't feel you could be with me till you made it right. Did you make it right? 
Chris: As right as I can. I mean I can't go back in time and undo it. Though I assure you if I could I would. 
Karen: Well the important thing is that you tried to make it right. Do you want to tell me about it? 
Chris nods 
Chris: I need to. What I did was horrible and reched. It makes me sick and probubly will for the rest of my life. Anyway now that I've confessed to it and tried to make amends I'm sure people are going to be talking about it. Karen I want us to have the best chance possible of working. And this between us would ruin our chances for sure. 
Karen looks at Chris with compasion seeing his worry. 
Karen: Chris I care about you and I know you. Look we're all human we all make mistakes and you clearly regret yours. I'm not going to run from you because of something you did in your past. Especially something you openly regret and have tried to make right. Really Chris who am I to judge? I've been a drug addict twice, I was a stripping and I once when I was a teen stole from the hospital. 
Chris smiles and shakes his head 
Chris: You're incredible but here me out first before you make any desisions okay? 
Karen: Okay if it makes you feel better. 
Chris: You remember Lark's 18th birthday party? 
Karen nods 
Karen: How could I forget Frank and you nearly got into a fight after he took some amphetimeans. 
Chris lowers his head and shakes his head sadly. 
Chris: Karen that's not quite what happend. 
Karen looks confused 
Karen: What do you mean? 
Chris sighs 
Chris: You remember what Frank said really happend? 
Karen praticly laughs 
Karen: How could I not to this day he insists you framed him. 
Karen shakes her head. She then notices the shamed and sick look on Chris's face. 
Chris: He wasn't lying Karen. 
Karen: What?! 
Chris: I was scared and desprate I new if I didn't get a scapegoat for the whole flue thing I was probubly going to loose everything. So I chose a scapegoat I chose Frank. I came over one night to the Scanlon's under the pretence of taking Courtney out. When no one was looking I snatched Joe's prescription pad. Then I wrote a perscription for amphedimeans. But I did it wrong so the pharmicy would call Joe. Then I got some amphedimeans and took them to Larks party. When Frank was up on stage making his specail toast and anouncment to Lark. 
Chris rubs his neck and shakes his head. 
Chris: I put the drugs in Frank's beer. Then when I new enough time had passed for the drug to kick in I picked a fight with him. The next morning I called his boss and told them that Frank was caring for patients while he was high. That's why they tested him that day, and that's why he lost everything. 
Karen stairs at Chris indisbelief not sure what to say. Chris looks down and shakes his head. 
Chris: When Joe tried to drug you it put a big mirror up infront of me and I realized what a hypacritical jerk I am. I realized I did to Frank what Joe tried to do to you. The only real difference is Joe got caught. I was so sickend and ashamed and I wanted so badly to make it right. I new Frank didn't deserve it any more then you had anymore then anyone dose. I also new that I had absolutly no right to your friendship much less a relationship with you till I did my best to make it right. After I talked to you earlier I went to find Frank and I admited to him what I had done. I apoligized and told him how truly sorry I was and how glad I am he has his life back. Then I gave him what is rightfuly his. I gave him 100 million dollers which is exactly half of of the money earned from DL-56. That money is rightflully his and I am glad he has it. Frank was very grashus and excepted both my apoligy and the money. Courtney was a little skeptical of my motives at first and while it hurt I understand her reasons. Anyway that is what happend today. Karen if I could go back and undo it I swear I would but I can't. 
Karen is just stairing at Chris. 
Chris: Please say something 
Karen takes a deep breath trying to collect her thoughts. 
Karen: I I I don't know what to say Chris. Frank has been one of my best friends since I was a little kid. You hurt him nearly destroyed him and I do have a pretty good idea of how that feels. 
Chris looks down at the ground. 
Karen: I'm glad you have fessed up to it, and that you apoligized and gave Frank what is rightfully his. I know you're trying to be a better man but 
Karen shakes her head. 
Chris: But that dosn't change what I've done. 
Karen: Chris as I've said I'm in no place to judge but I 
Chris: But you care about Frank and I hurt him, you pride yourself on being a good friend and I comprimized that. 
Karen: But you also have tried to make amends for it and have been honest about it. 
Chris: But that's not enough? 
Karen looks at Chris with tears in her eyes. 
Karen: I don't know Chris I really don't know. I know what it feels like to have someone try to destroy your life and I can only imagen how it would have felt if Joe had succseeded. I know it's in the past but 
Chris: But for you it's very much in the present. 
Karen nods. 
Chris: Maybe I should go so you can think? 
Karen nods 
Karen: It is late. 
Chris nods and gets up trying to hold back his tears. He knows he may have blown it. Chris gose to the door and starts to leave. 
Karen: Chris 
Chris turns 
Chris: Yeah 
Karen turns and looks at him with tears in her own eyes 
Karen: I'm not mad at you, I understand you were a different person then and I know you mean it when you say you regret it. It's just your actions not only hurt someone I care about they affected my behaivor as well as others. We treated Frank very poorly because of what you did. I can't speak for them but right now I'm feeling very ashamed. 
Chris walks towords Karen 
Chris: Karen you have nothing to feel ashamed about. You treated him the way you thought he deserved you only reacted to what you new. 
Karen: But I didn't act as a friend and I should of. 
Karen sighs and shakes her head. 
Karen: But that was my choice not yours. You didn't make me act or think that way. 
Chris sits by Karen 
Chris: Karen I never ment to make you feel guilty. 
Karen shakes her head 
Karen: You didn't my actions did. 
Chris: Is there anything I can do? 
Karen: I think it's my turn to make amends, but not now it's to late. 
Chris: And us? 
Karen sees the nurvesness in his face and takes his hand. 
Karen: If you hadn't told me or I'd found out some other way at a later date there would be no us. But you came clean and were honnest. I apricate it and as I said while I'm not thrilled with your actions I am not mad. If you didn't regret it or hadn't tried to make things right then I would be. But you are and you did. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: We are okay. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: You're remarkable Karen Wexler you know that simply remarkable. 
Karen smiles and blushes. 
They look deeply into each others eyes and end up kissing tenderly. 

Kevin comes into the light house and finds the kids camped out on the floor in sleeping bags and smiles. He walks upstairs and peeks into Christina's room and finds her sleeping peacefuly. He pulls the blanket up around her that she'd kicked off. He watches her sleep and minute and says a quite prayer. 
Kevin: Please God let our baby be as healthy and happy as the children in this house right now. 
Kevin walks into his and Lucy's room. He is surprised to find the huge foot prop on the floor instead of under Lucy's feet. Lucy is sleeping peacefully with a smile on her face. Kevin smiles and looks at the woman he loves so. He then lightly places a kiss on her forhead and lays the roses he has bought for her by her head then changes for bed and curls in next to her. He places his hand on her abdomen and whispers softly 
Kevin: I love you. 
Then cuddiling up with her drifts off to sleep. 

The next morning Frank is reading the paper when Courtney and Neil come in. 
Frank: Hey kiddo! How was your overnight? 
He high fives Neil. 
Neil: It was awsome we watched Toy Story 2 and pigged out on ice cream. 
Frank laughs 
Frank: Sounds like a kids dream night. 
Neil nods 
Neil: Thanks for renting the movie it was awsome! 
Frank: You're welcome I'm glad you liked it. 
Courtney: Neil why don't you go unpack. 
Neil: Sure 
Neil runs off. 
Frank: Hey you. 
Frank pulls her close and kisses her tenderly. 
Courtney smiles 
Courtney: Hi yourself. So how are you doing this morning? 
Frank: Better now that you're in my arms. 
Courtney smiles 
They kiss again. Courtney then gose to get herself some ornge jude. 
Frank: So did you talk to Lucy? 
Courtney: Well I was planning on it. I'd thought up all these great things to say and all these wonderful suggestions you know. I was all set to really help 
Frank nods 
Courtney: But something or someone must have reached her before I did. 
Frank looks confused 
Frank: What do you mean? 
Courtney: Well when I got there she anwsered the door 
Frank: What? What happend to staying in bed? 
Courtney: I guess she decided she didn't need to after all. She was laughing and talking and all smiles. I asked her how she was feeling and she said she felt great and just new everything was going to be fine. 
Frank: Wow well that's a relief 
Courtney: I know it was amazing. Everyone there seemed a little surprised but naturally no one was complaining. 
Frank nods 
Frank: Sounds like everything has worked its self out. 
Courtney nods 
Courtney: Sometimes life is like that. 
Frank nods. Just then there is a nock on their door. Frank gose and opens it Karen is standing outside the door looking down at the ground. She looks up at him with an absolutly ashamed look. 
Frank: Karen? Is everything okay what's wrong? Has Joe done something? 
Karen shakes her head 
Karen: How on earth can you be so nice to me after I've been such a horrible excuse for a friend. 
Frank: What are you talking about you're a great friend. Come on it please. 
Karen comes in and looks at Frank 
Karen: Can you ever forgive me for being such an absolutly discusting excuse for a friend? I was so disloyal and un supportive not to mention distruestful and unsympathetic. 
Frank: Karen I have no idea what you're talking about. You are a great friend that is one of the many reasons I made you Christina'sGodmother. 
Karen: Which is anuther thing I really don't deserve given how I treated you. 
Courtney: Frank Chris said he was going to tell her last night about what he did. 
Frank: Oh that 
Karen: Yes that I was awful! I should have believed in you I should have trusted you I should have listend to you I should have been a good friend. 
Karen shakes her head sadly and looks at the ground. 
Karen: I was horrible to you and I wouldn't blaime you if you never wanted to speak to me again. 
Frank smiles at her compasionitly and takes her hands in his. 
Frank: Karen you made a desision based on what you new 
Karen: But 
Frank: No Karen listen okay. All of the evidence pointed to me taking those drugs and given my past mistakes how could you not judge me harshly 
Karen: Because we're friends and friends are supposed to trust each other. 
Frank: Yeah and I lied to you. I new Chris had stolen from you and I not only didn't tell you I helped him make money. Yeah I'm a great friend. 
Karen: But you were an adict you couldn't controle your actions I could and I didn't. 
Frank: Karen hine sight is always perfect okay. None of us always make the right choices we all do the best we can with what we know. I don't blame you for not believing in me I didn't give you alot of reasons to and the evidence was there. 
Karen shakes her head and smiles 
Karen: God you're a good friend. 
Frank: And so are you 
Frank hugs Karen. 
Frank: Now can you please promis me something 
Karen: It's the least I can do what 
Frank: Do not spend anuther second beating yourself up over this please. Karen it's in the past and I''m okay. Lets just leave it in the past where it belongs please. 
Karen smiles with tears in her eyes. 
Karen: Are you sure. 
Frank smiles 
Frank: Yes, Karen you are a great friend and I don't want you letting this make you think other wise. 
Karen: Well I'll try not to. 
Frank: Good. 
Courtney: You know Karen we all have regrets in life 
Karen nods 
Karen: Courtney I''m glad you're here there is actually something I've been meaning to say to you. 
Courtney: Oh okay what? 
Karen: Thankyou. 
Courtney looks surprised 
Courtney: Uh for what? 
Karen: For getting me away from Joe. He is a monster and I''m very lucky to be rid of him. I owe you big time. 
Karen smiles. 
Courtney looks at Frank then at Karen not sure what to say. 
Courtney: Uh you're welcome. 
Karen: Well I'd better go Frank again I''m sorry I should have had more faith in you. I know you want it in the past but I just really needed to say that. 
Frank: And I forgive you. 
Karen smiles and leaves 
Frank and Courtney look at each other a bit bewildered by it all. 
Courtney: Did we just enter the twighlight zone? 
They both crack up. 
Frank: I don't know but the past 24 hourse have sertenly been something else. 
 

Lucy and Kevin have arrived at the hospital for Lucy's first sonigram. 
Lucy: Oh Doc can you believe it today we actually get to get a peak at our baby. 
Lucy smiles at Kevin with tears in her eyes and gently rests her hand on her stomach. Kevin rests his hand ontop of Lucy's and smiles at her. 
Kevin: And I'm sure our baby will be as buetiful as his or her mother. 
Lucy smiles 
Lucy: Oh doc we really are blessed. 
They kiss tenderly. Lucy then gets a worried look on her face. Kevin looks at her with consern 
Kevin: Lucy is everything okay? 
Lucy: Oh doc what if something is wrong with our baby? What if it's not healthy? 
Kevin sighs and hugs her reasuringly 
Kevin: Lucy every test we've had so far shows the baby is healthy. Besides worryinig won't change anything so lets just go with the flow on this okay. 
Lucy smiles and shakes her head 
Lucy: How did I ever find such an angel 
Kevin pulls her near 
Kevin: Nah I'm the lucky one 
They kiss tenderly suddenly Lucy jumps 
Lucy: Oh Doc! 
Kevin becomes alarmed as tears fill Lucy's eyes 
Kevin: What what! What is it? Is it the baby? Maybe you should sit down? 
Kevin takes her hand worriedly but then he notices Lucy is smiling through her tears. 
Lucy: No no Doc our baby just kciked.! Oh doc it's the most amazing feeling 
Kevin: It moved! 
Lucy nods 
Lucy: I never thought I'd be able to feel a child of my own move inside of me but that's exactly what this child is doing. OH doc thankyou thankyou 
Kevin smiles as tears come down his own face 
Kevin: For what? 
Lucy turns and smiles at him and strokes his face 
Lucy: For making me the happiest woman in the world 
Kevin pulls her in 
Kevin: Well yoiu've made me pretty happy to Mis Lucy Coe 
They kiss tenderly and head off to their apointment excitedly 

Mary is sitting on the couch reading when Victor walks in and sits beside her. He leans over and kisses her. 
Victor: Hello Mary my sweet how are you feeling my dear. 
Mary smiles 
Mary: I'm always wonderful when you're around. 
Victor smiles 
Victor: And how is our little Miracle doing? 
Victor pats Mary's expanded stomach. 
Mary smiles 
Mary: Just fine 
She pats her stomach. Just then the baby kicks hard. 
Mary: Oh Victor our baby is kicking! 
She takes Victor's hand and places it on her stomach. 
Mary: Do you feel that! 
Victors eyes tear up as he feels his little one kicking for the first time. Victor shakes his head. 
Victor: It is just amazing. Oh Mary I love you so much and I'm so thrilled to be having this baby with you. 
Mary smiles through her tears of joy. 
Mary: I couldn't agree more 
they kiss tenderly 
Victor: You know what this kicking means don't you? 
Mary look at Victor puzzled. 
Victor: Mary my dear we must really start concentrating on a name! This baby isn't going to wait for us we must have a name ready. He or she must have an identity as soon as they make their grand entrance. 
Mary smiles 
Mary: I love how your mind works. So what names were you thinking of? I kind of like Victor, Jr. for a boy. 
Victor shakes his head. 
Victor: No no I want him to be his own person and being like me isn't something I think he should strive to be. 
Victor shakes his head sadly Mary gets a stern look on her face 
Mary: Victor Collins don't you ever let me hear you say such a thing again. You are a wonderful man and our son would be blessed if he had your brains and goodness. 
Victor smiles sheepishly. 
Victor: Well fine but I really would prefer he wasn't a Jr. 
Mary: Okay then what did you have in mind? 
Victor smiles 
Victor: Well I've always liked Nathaniel. And given the sercumstances I think it's an appropriate name for him if it's a boy. It means gift of God 
Mary smiles 
Mary: Well the meaning definitely fits. Nathaniel Collins I like that. It sounds so strong and good. 
Victor: But you know Mary my dear our little boy could be a little girl. 
Mary smiles 
Mary: Oh what a blessing that would be. To have a little daughter. I mean as long as it's healthy I'll be happy but. 
Victor: But after having sons a daughter would be nice. 
Mary nods in agreement. 
Victor: How about little Mary 
Mary laughs 
Mary: No absolutely not it just doesn't work for girls. 
Victor laughs 
Victor: Oh really. 
Mary: And besides as you said he or she should have their own identity. 
Victor: Fine then what name for a girl do you like Mary my dear? 
Mary: Well I've been reading these baby books and for a girl I really like the name Beatrice it means bringer of joy. 
Victor smiles 
Victor: Well that certainly is what this baby is bringing. I think it's a perfect name. I love you Mary and boy or girl I can hardly wait to meet our little Miracle. 
They kiss tenderly. 

Chris is buzy at the nurses station doing some paper work when Eve walks up. 
Eve: Hey Ramsey what's up? 
Chris: Well right now I'm up to my neck in paper work 
Chris rolls his eyes Eve laughs 
Eve: Aw poor baby well hey how about taking a little break and chatting with an old friend 
Chris playfully looks around as if he's searching for someone 
Chris: Well that would be great if I could find and old friend 
Eve playfully swats him with a file. 
Eve: Hey watch it Ramsey! 
Chris: I'm kidding I'm kidding you know you'll always be my bestest pal ex roomie 
Eve rolls her eyes 
Eve: Oh gag me 
They both crack up. 
Eve: So you going to take a break with me or what 
Chris smiles 
Chris: Anything for you darlin 
Chris grins playfully Eve moans. They walk over to the couch in the waiting area and plop down 
Chris: So what's up? 
Eve: Well mostly wedding plans. Scott and I have been running ourselves ragged planning this thing. 
Eve groans 
Eve: Sometimes I think just eloping would be easier. 
Chris shakes his head. 
Chris: No if you're able to have a big wedding you should have one. Finding true love is so rare and wonderful when you are lucky enough to get it you should celebrate it. 
Eve looks at Chris and sees the distant expresion on his face. Eve takes his hand gently. 
Eve: Like the one you and Julie never got to have? 
Chris nods and sighs 
Chris: I was sure we'd have time to have a big one at some point. 
Chris sighs and shakes his head sadly. 
Chris: I was wrong. 
Eve nods 
Eve: Well you know I think your love for her made up for any lost chances of a huge wedding. You know you really did give her alot. 
Chris smiles greatful for the kind words 
Chris: Thanks that means alot. I sertenly hope I did God knows she gave me alot. Okay enough about me how are those wedding plans coming? Anything I can do to help? 
Eve smiles 
Eve: Well as a matter afact there is 
Chris: What? 
Eve: Well you know Chris you are my best friend and that makes it only right that you have an important part in my wedding. Now I know the position of maid of honner is usually reserved for a female friend but Chris you're my best friend and I want you to hold that position. So what do you say will you be the man of honner. 
Chris pretends to be apprehensive 
Chris: Gee Eve I don't know I do have a reputation to keep. 
Eve playfully hits Chris 
Eve: Hey come on Ramsey I'd do it for you! 
Chris smiles 
Chris: Okay Lamburt sure I'll do it. So dose this mean I can lock you in the closet? 
Chris laughs 
Eve: Oh don't you even think about it Ramsey! 
Eve laughs 
Chris: Just checking 
Just then Chris's pager gose off. 
Chris: Okay I need to go listen I'll talk to you later and in all seareusness I'd be happy to. 
He smiles and gives Eve a quick kiss on the cheeck then heads off. Eve smiles happily. 

Lucy and Kevin are in the exam room ast Dr. Medows dose Lucy's sonagram. Lucy and Kevin watch intently 
Lucy: Everything is okay right? Our Baby is fine isn't it? 
Dr. Medows smiles paitently. 
Dr. Medows: So far everything looks fine Lucy try to relax okay. 
Kevin squzes Lucy's hand and smiles reasuringly. 
Kevin: It's going to be okay Lucy everything will be fine 
He kisses her gently on the forhead. Just the Dr. Medows notices something 
Dr. Medows: Oh my 
Lucy jumps 
Lucy: What! What is it! What's wrong! OH God I new I should have stayed in bed! 
Lucy starts to cry. 
Dr. Medows: No no Lucy no nothing is wrong. 
Lucy takes a deep breath trying to compose herself 
Lucy: Really? 
Kevin: Then what did you see? 
Dr. Medows smiles 
Dr. Medows: I'm sure and what I saw well tell me how do the two of you feel about twins 
Kevin and Lucy look at Dr. Medows and then at each other in stunned silence. 
Kevin: Excuse me did you say twins?! 
Lucy can hardly speak 
Lucy: Twins that means two two babies? 
Dr. Medows nods 
Dr. Medows: Yes it seems you and Kevin will be welcomeing two babies into the world come this March congradulations! 
Tears of utter Joy are streeming down Lucy's face as Kevin stairs in stunned disbelief. 
Lucy: Oh Doc can you believe this! We aren't just getting one Miracle we're getting two! Oh Doc this is wonderful news! 
Lucy grabs ahold of Kevin and hugs him tightly 
Kevin is still stairing blankly at the sonogram moniter as he holds Lucy a new terrer in his eyes. 
Kevin: Yeah great 
Kevin tries to hide the anxsiety in his voice. 

Jill is doing some cleaning when Joe comes in whistiling Jill smiles relieved to see his good mood. 
Jill: Hi huney looks like you had a good day. 
Joe scoffs 
Joe: As good as I can since you recked my carier! 
Jill flinches. 
Joe sighs 
Joe: But you know what after today I can over look your blunder. I mean after all things are going to work out the way I want them. 
Joe grins devilishly. Jill shutters trying to hide her fear. 
Jill: What did you do 
Joe grabs her arm hard Jill winses in pain 
Joe: After what you did last time why the hell would I tell you! 
He flings her against one of the dinning room chairs she catches herself and tries to hide the tears. 
Jill: I I I''m sorry. 
Joe sighs 
Joe: Hey that's okay listen you've been pretty good lately so I'll give you a clue but that's it got it?! 
He looks at her coldly. Jill nods with fear 
Jill: Got it 
Joe: Karen is going to have a little car trouble tonight 
Joe grins devilishly 
Jill nods her heart is pounding in her ears. 
Jill: That's brilliant Joe. 
Joe scoffs 
Joe: Well ofcourse it is I thought of it 
Joe grabs her by the arms and squezes them till Jill winces Joe speaks through clenched teath 
Joe: And if you do anything to screw this up like you did last time I''ll see to it you pay. Now get me something to eat! 
He shuves her and she falls over a chair and hits her head Joe groans and plops down on the couch. Jill hurridly gets up and gose to the ktichen to get him something. When she brings him some soda and a sandwhich she trips and drops the drink and sandwhich on him. Joe becomes inraged and jumps up. 
Joe: WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU YOU CLUTS! 
He slaps her across the face hard 
Jill falls to the ground crying 
Jill: I'm sorry I'm sorry 
Joe yanks her up and shakes her violently 
Joe: You are damm lucky I'm in such a good mood! 
He then punches her again she crumbles to the floor crying 
Jill: Please Joe I'm sorry I''m sorry! 
Joe: Oh I'm so tired of you and your apologizes! You can't do anything right! I'm going to the recovery room at least I can get something decent there! 
He grabs his coat and leaves. Jill lays on the floor crying for awhile then drags herself to the bedroom. She kneels by her bed and prays that Karen will not be hurt by what ever it is Joe did. 

Frank, Courtney are driving along. Courtney has a blind fold on and Frank has an excited look on his face. 
Courtney: Frank can for the one hundredth time can you please tell me where we are going. 
Frank laughs 
Frank: And for the one hundredth time no it's a surprise. 
Courtney pretends to pout 
Courtney: Aw come on Frank please just a hint please 
Frank laughs 
Frank: OKay one small hint you're going to love it. 
Courtney laughs 
Courtney: Oh that narrows it down. 
Frank: Anytime 
Courtney: Well can I at least take the blind fold off? 
Frank: No now just relax don't be so pushy we are almost there. 
Courtney: Where ever there is. 
They both laugh. 
Frank finelly stops the car. 
Frank: OKay hold on I'll come around and get you. Don't take the blind fold off yet. 
Frank runs around and helps Courtney out. Then he faces her away from the car. 
Frank: Okay are you ready? 
Courtney: I guess so. 
Frank takes off Courtney's blind fold. They are standing in a buetiful suberben neiborhood infront of a huge house with a white pickett fence. 
Courtney: Where are we? 
Frank smiles 
Frank: Lake View Ridge. 
Courtney looks around 
Courtney: It's very nice here but why are we here? 
Frank grins devilishly. 
Frank: Oh I wanted to show you something come on. 
Frank and Courtney enter the white pickett fence and walk up on to the wrap around portch. Courtney rings the doorbell assuming they are there to see someone. She looks and sees that Frank has ploped down on the porch swing. 
Courtney: Frank get off of that! We can't just sit down on their swing. 
Frank chuckles but gets up. Courtney looks at him confused. 
Courtney: I don't think anyone is home Frank. 
Frank: Really? Huh well lets see 
Frank searches his coat pocket for something and retreives a key. He then proceeds to unlock the door with it. Courtney gasps 
Courtney: What are you doing! 
Frank looks at her inocently 
Frank: Just thought we'd go in come on. 
Frank opens the door and leads a skeptical Courtney inside. Courtney looks around the huge entrance and into a massive family room. She is surprised that it appears the house is completly empty. 
Courtney: Okay Frank why are we in one of the most expensive suburbs in Port Charles and why are we standing in this huge empty house? 
Frank smiles and takes Courtney's hand in his. 
Frank: Because as of today this house is ours 
He hands her a key. Courtney stairs at him in disbelief her eyes are as big as saucers. 
Courtney: What?! This this house is ours! 
Frank nods proudly 
Frank: Signed on the dotted line a little while ago. Figured since we have all this money and a growing family a new home was in order. 
Courtney leaps into Franks ares squeeling. 
Courtney: Oh My God! We have a house we have a house! 
She starts kssing Frank excitedly. 
Courtney: OH I love you I love you I love you! I can't believe this is ours! 
Frank laughs 
Frank: So it was a good surpise? 
Courtney smiles 
Courtney: It was a wonderful surprise. 
Frank: Why don't you look around. 
Courtney walks through the monsterus house with Frank close behind. 
Courtney: Frank this kitchen would take up most of our apartment! 
Frank laughs 
Frank: Check out the living room. 
Courtney continues to be aw struck at each room. She notices the glass doors leading out onto the two layer deck and sees a spacious back yard. 
Courtney: Oh Frank this is incredible the kids are going to love playing out here 
Frank: And we can have barbicues on the deck 
Courtney nods in agreement. 
They go upstairs and Courtney is speechless at the gucoozy in the master bath. 
Frank: I figured it would be a good place to escape to. 
Frank devilishly winks at Courtney Courtney smiles and wraps her arms around Frank 
Courtney: Oh it deffinetly has it's possibilities. 
They laugh and kiss. 
Frank: So you like it? 
Courtney: Oh Frank I love it! 
Frank: I'm glad. I was thinking we could make the room the right of ours the baby's room, the room to the left Neils since, then the one next to the Baby's Christina's, and the other one. 
Frank grins. 
Frank: Well we can work on that. 
He pulls Courtney in and kisses her. 
Courtney laughs 
Courtney: Sounds wonderful to me 
They kiss happily as they stand in their new home. 

Scott is busy doing paper work when Serena comes downstairs. 
Serena: Hey Dad 
Scott puts down his papers and turns to Serena with a smile 
Scott: Well hello there Apple sauce. 
Serena: Dad I'm getting to old for that nick name 
Scott: Oh you are are you 
Scott gabs her and starts playfully tickling her. Serena is laughing uncontrollably. 
Scott: Oh you are huh well are you to big for a tickle way huh are ya 
Serena tries to tickle Scott and they both are soon laughing and hugging each other. 
Serena: Dad you're such a goof 
Serena playfully messes with her Dad's hair, Scott rubs his hair 
Scott: Hey don't mess with the hair I got it combed just right today 
Scott playfully teases. 
Scott: So did you get your homework all done? 
Serena: Yep hey can we go to Burger Boy for dinner tonight? 
Scott: I don't think so Serene the weather out side is getting pretty wild. 
Serena looks disappointed. 
Scott: Hey I got an idea why don't we make home made pizza's tonight? 
Serena lights up 
Serena: Cool Can we put extra cheese and pepperoni on it? 
Scott: Absolutely 
Serena: Awesome lets do it! 
Serena runs to the kitchen with Scott following behind. 

Karen has just finished up at the hospital and is ready to go home. She stops at the nurses station where Eve is working away. 
Karen: Hey Eve 
Eve looks up and smiles 
Eve: Oh hi Karen you going home? 
Karen nods 
Karen: Yeah just got finished 
Eve sighs 
Eve: Lucky I'm going to be here for at least four more hours if not more. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Well at least you have the weekend off. Are you and Scott doing anything? 
Eve smiles and blushes 
Eve: Yeah we're going on a weekend get away. Serena is staying with Kevin and Lucy. 
Karen: Well that sounds nice. 
Eve: So how about you? Are you and Chris doing anything special? 
Karen: Well we're going to have a late dinner tonight when he gets done here and watch a movie. Other then that I''m not sure. 
Eve shakes her head and smiles 
Eve: It's so great to see you've both found each other. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: I know I haven't been this happy in a long time. 
Eve: Well you deserve it and let me tell you I haven't seen Chris this happy in a long time either. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Well speaking of Chris have you seen him? 
Eve: I think he's in the OR right now. This weather is just awful and we've had several car recks already. One victim needed Chris's skills. 
Karen nods 
Karen: He's great at it that's for sure. The weather is getting bad huh. 
Eve nods 
Eve: It reminds me of the night Julie died. 
Karen: Well what ever you do don't tell Chris that. 
Eve: Oh don't worry I won't. I know he still really hasn't gotten over her. 
Karen nods 
Karen: He's moving on but the hurt is very much still there. He loved her so much. 
Karen shakes her head sadly. 
Eve: Well at least he has you now 
Karen: True, Okay well I'm going to get going now. When Chris gets out of the OR let him know I'm at home and ask him to give me a call. 
Eve nods 
Eve: Will do. 
Karen starts towards the elevator when something makes Eve call out to her friend. 
Eve: Oh Karen 
Karen turns 
Karen: Yeah 
Eve: Be sure to buckle up it really is bad out there 
Karen nods 
Karen: sure thing. 
Karen goes to her car and gets in and ameadeitly buckles up. As she begins to drive she notices that the steering wheel is acting funny but she doesn't think much of it. As she goes along the rain comes down harder and harder. Suddenly without worning the steering wheel spins out of control causing her to go into on coming traffic she screams franticly as a car side swipes her and sends her spinning out of control she pushes on the breaks and is horrified to find they aren't working. She is suddenly hit from the side from anuther out of controle car, and goes tumbling down an embankment the car rolls partly into the water and stops.
 

The car lays upside down in the river. As it slowly fills with water Karen hangs percareusly upside down still straped in to her seat. Her body aches everywhere and there is blood coming from a cut on her head. She is drifting in and out of consciousness. As she dose her thoughts sworm. She knows she is hurt and that if she isn't rescued soon she could end up drowning or dying from what ever internal injuries she may have. She sees a vision of Chris standing by her calling her name. Karen moans 
Karen: Chris I love you. 
She tries to reach out to the image but a sharp pain goes through her arm and she cries out as the image fades. Tears run down her brused face and she bites her lip. She begins to drift off again when she suddenly hears a voice 
Julie: Karen don't you dare leave him! 
Karen opens her eyes again and sees Julie 
Karen: Julie? 
The image fades 
Karen starts to close her eyes and she hears Chris's voice once more. 
Chris: You saved my life 
Karen: Chris? Help me Chris help me 
Karen coughs it is hard to breath the seetbelt is cutting into her chest and the water is rising quicker. Suddenly the car shifts Karen tries to scream but it hurts to much. 
Karen drifts off off as the car re settles. She begins dreaming. She sees Joe standing in a church laughing crazily 
Joe: I told you I'd get you!! 
She sees Chris draped over a cofin. She tries to reach out to him but she can't. She looks at the body in the coffin and sees it's her own she gasps in horrer. She waks up now with her hair almost completly submerged. She cries softly. Suddenly she feels the presence of someone else. She sees Julie again. 
Julie: Come on Karen fight! You have to live he needs you! Your family need you! My daughter needs you! Fight! 
Karen: I'm trying 
Julie's image fades. Karen tries to lift her head away from the water but a sharp pain pearces through her neck and she cries out. She hangs there now not moving. Karen closes her eyes tightly 
Karen: Please God help me get me out of this. I need to live. 
Karen drifts off once more. 

Joe sits at Jakes eating a burger and swigging a bear, when a very tough looking young man in a tight shirt and torn blue jeens walks in. He goes over to Joe. 
Cederic: Hey Scanlon where's my cash?! 
Joe looks at the young man with exsasperation. 
Joe: What Cederic you got dirt for brains! You have to give me an update first! 
Cederic grabs Joe by the coller 
Cederic: You know if you weren't paying me so well I'd have to punish you for that one. 
He shuves Joe back into the chair, Joe stands up angrily knocking the chair over he grabs Cederic by the shirt 
Joe: Keep it up and you won't be getting squat and I'll turn you in! 
He pushes Cederic away 
Cederic ajusts himself and snarls. 
Joe: Look both of us want something here and neither of us are preticularly fond of each other! So tell me what I want to know I'll pay you and then we never have to see each other again got it! 
Cederic: Sounds fine to me 
Joe sees everyone stairing at them. 
Joe: Lets take this out side 
Cederic nods they go out side. 
Cederic: I fallowed her from the hospital. Her stearing wheel gave out and sent her into on coming traffic she was side swiped and went spinning, her brakes didn't work so she couldn't stop. Then just like you asked I pretended to be anuther out of controle car and hit her hard on the side then pretended to stop. Her car went tumbiling down an embanking ment and landed upside down in the water. I then high tailed it out of there. 
Joe is beaming from ear to ear at this news is eyes sparkiling with evil. 
Joe: Perfect 
Cederic: So you going to pay me now or what! 
Joe scows 
Joe: Keep your pants on ofcourse I am! 
Joe pulls out his wallet. 
Joe: I always pay for a job well done. 
Joe pulls out some money and gives it to Cederic. 
Joe: Now get lost 
Cederic: Fine just one thing first 
He slams Joe up against the brick building and holds him there by his coller. 
Cederic: If I ever go down for this I'm taking you with me got that! 
Cederic then droped Joe back to the ground and leaves Joe streightens himself up and shakes his head angrily and sighs. 
Joe: What looser but at least I won't have to worry about Karen anymore. 
Joe walks back into Jakes and orders some Irish Wnisky. He holds it high in the air. 
Joe: To me and my brilliant plan! 
He drinks it down. 

Karen wakes up still hanging upside down in the car, her head is throbing and she feels very light headed. The water is not up to her for head. It takes her a minute to put it all together and then she remembers. She tries to cry for help but her chest hurts to much and she is having trouble breathing. She suddenly hears a siren and her spirits start to rise. Suddenly a bright light is shown into the window and she hears a formilure voice 
Frank: OH MY GOD KAREN! 
Karen ignoring the pain turns her head 
Karen: Help! 
Frank: Don't move! Emilo get down here now! And bring the jaws of life! 
Frank and Emilo quickly get the door unjamed and then carefully cut Karen free and get her on a back board. They quickly carry her to the ambulance and begin working on her. 
Karen: Chris call Chris 
Frank: Karen relax everything is going to be okay will reach him. 
Frank keeps working on Karen and yells to Emilo to get word to the hospital that it's Karen. 
At the hospital Gabriella has gotten word that Karen is being brought in. She quickly pages Eve to the ER. Eve quickly arrives as does Traci who is already in the ER. 
Eve: What do we got? 
Gabriella: It's Karen she lost controle of her car and ended up rolling down an embankment into the river. Frank and Emilo are bringing her in now. 
Eve: OH MY GOD NO! 
Traci: I'll find Chris! 
Traci takes off 
Eve: How bad?! 
Gabriella: Well she has a head injury but is awake and lucid, she has an injured shoulder, and possibly a couple broken ribs, she's also having some trouble breathing so they think her lungs may have been damaged. 
Eve's heart is pounding in her ears and she is sweating buckets. Suddenly like a tape recorder she recalls her earlier conversation with Karen 
Eve: It reminds me of the night Julie died. 
Karen: Well what ever you do don't tell Chris that. 
Eve shakes her head oh no we aren't going that way again. I won't fail him again! 
Gabriella: Excuse me? 
Eve: Okay lets get ready here! Denise get 10 units of AB- Blood down here STATE!! Alurt the Trauma team and have an or waiting move people! GET A VENTALATOR DOWN HERE NOW! GET THE PADDLES CHARGED AND READY TO GO! I WANT A PORTABLE EX RAY DOWN HERE NOW! COME ON PEOPLE MOVE! HAVE AN IV OF ISOPERL READY TO GO! I WANT THOSE RINGERS HUNG WIDE OPEN! GET ME 12CC'S OF STAIROIDES AND 5 OF LATICANE NOW!!! 
Eve continues to bark orders histairicly as everyone runs around. 

Traci runs feverishly through the hospital halls searching franticly for Chris. She finelly spots him coming out of a patients room 
Traci: Chris! 
Traci runs to him breathlessly Chris smiles 
Chris: Hey Traci what's up? 
Chris then notices the fear and concern in Traci's eyes he becomes concerned. 
Chris: Is something wrong? 
Traci takes deep breath trying to cullect her thoughts. She gently takes Chris's hand in hers as she begins to speak 
Traci: Chris I need you to stay calm okay just hear me out 
Chris's heart starts to pound hard. 
Chris: Why am I not liking the sound of this 
Traci: Chris you are going to want to get to the ER as soon as possible. Karen has been in a car reck Frank and Emilo are bringing her in. 
The color drains from Chris's face as a thousand and one horrific thoughts fill his head. His heart is racing and he has a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach 
Chris: WHAT! HOW?! WHEN?! WHERE?! IS SHE OKAY?! 
Traci: Please Chris try to stay calm. Karen lost controle of her car and ended up rolling down an embankment into the river. She'll be here soon. 
Chris: THE EMBANKMENT!! 
Chris flashes back to the night Julie died and takes off running as fast as he can with Traci at his heels. 

Frank and Emilo pull up outside the ER with Karen who is now sitting up and breathinig much easier. Frank has gotten her shoulder back in it's socket, and she is feeling okay. Frank and Emilo hop out as they get her out of the rig. 
Karen: Frank you have to find Chris please you have to find Chris! He needs to know I'm okay please I don't want him to be scared. 
Karen is crying all she can think of is Chris's sad face. 
Frank squezes her hand as he runs beside the gerney. 
Frank: Don't worry it's going to be okay I'll make sure he knows. 
Karen: Thanks Frank he has such a delicate heart you know. 
Frank nods as they enter the ER where Eve is on the verdge of a nurves breakdown. 
Eve: GET HER HOOCKED UP TO THE MONITER! WHERE ARE THE PADDLES! WHERE IS THE ICIPRO! DAMIT I ORDERED THE STEROIDS OVER 5 MINUTES AGO WHERE IS THE CHEST TUBE!!!!!! 
Frank: Eve she's okay! 
Eve: MOVE HER TO THE BED ORDER A CAT SCAN AND AN MRI STAT! WHERE THE HELL IS BOARDMAN!!! 
Karen is grabing onto Eve's arm trying to get her attention as she is trying to insert an IV. 
Karen: EVE I'M OKAY! 
Eve: GET CHRIS DOWN HERE NOW!! WHERE IS THE PORTIBLE EXRAY!! WHY HAVE YOU STARTED THE VENT! 
Denise just stairs at her not knowing what to say. Everyone is just looking at her as she stands their screaming her head off. Just then Chris comes charging in with Traci at his heals. He ameadeitly sees Karen sitting up with her eyes open and sighs with relief but his attention is then dawln to Eve who is running around screaming 
Eve: CHARGE THE PATTLES WHY ARE YOU STANDING AROUND WE HAVE TO GET HER TO THE OR! WHERE IS BOARDMAN WE NEED BLOOD! WHAT ARE HER VITALS?! 
Frank takes Chris's arm and talks quetly to him 
Frank: Chris Karen seems to be fine from what I can tell but Eve is going nuts she's been histairical according to the nurses since she heard we were bringing Karen in. 
Chris nods 
Chris: LAMBURT!! 
Eve turns sees Chris lets out and ear pearcing scream and faints. Just then Scott comes charging in. 
Scott: WHERE THE HELL IS MY DAUGHTER! 
Karen at this point just bursts out laughing, tears are coming down her cheeck from the pain of laughing due to her injured ribs but she can't hold it in any longer. Chris stands there bewildered looking at Karen laughing and all banged up and Eve who is laying on the floor still cluching the vent hoock up and Scott is standing there fumming. 
Gabriella: Get the smelling sault! 
Scott: Eve! 
Gabriella and Scott yelling brings Chris back to reality as all three jump to help Eve. 
Scott: WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO NOW RAMSEY! 
Chris: Oh go stuff it Baldwin! I didn't do a damm thing! 
Eve comes to quickly and starts crying 
Eve: I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry. 
Scott: WHAT THE HELL IS SHE APOLIGIZING FOR! 
Chris: HOW THE HELL SHOULD I KNOW I JUST GOT HERE AND FRANKLY I'M A LITTLE MORE CONSERNED ABOUT KAREN THEN EVE RIGHT NOW YOU KNOW YOUR DAUGHTER! 
Scott: WATCH IT SMART ASS! 
Karen: will you both stop it! Owe that hurt 
Karen rubs her side. 
Gabriella: You may have a broken rib so I wouldn't do that if I were you. Here allow me. SHUT UP NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
Chris, Scott, and Eve look up a bit stunned Eve still crying. 
Gabriella: Okay listen now! Scott take Eve out of here and get her calmed down then you can come back! 
Gabriella sees Ian walking in. 
Gabriella: Perfect Ian examin Karen! Chris comfort your girlfriend! I said move! 
Everyone jumps as Karen continues to hold her side and snicker. 
Karen: This could be a Saturday night live skit 
Scott helps a still weeping Eve out of the ER as he mutters curse words under his breath, Ian, Dinease, and Traci begin working on Karen. Chris walks over to her hurridly and looks at her his face full of concern and worry. Karen smiles and takes his hand in hers. 
Karen: It's okay Chris I'm going to be fine. 
Chris lightly tutches the cut on her head. 
Karen: It's just superficail I'll be fine. 
Chris: They said your car went over the embankment 
Chris chokes up. 
Frank: The seat belt probubly saved her life. 
Chris: Thank God 
Chris starts to cry Karen gently strokes his face and squezes his hand. 
Karen: Hey you know what I was thinking when I was traped in that car? 
Chris shakes his head 
Chris: What? 
Karen smiles at him. 
Karen: That I love you and I'm not about to leave you. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: I love you to 
He leans in and they kiss tenderly. 

Scott and Eve are sitting in the waiting area. Eve has calmed down considerably and is sipping some hot tea that Scott got her. Scott is sitting next to her holding her hand. 
Eve: Thanks for the tea 
Scott: You're welcome. So are you okay? 
Eve sighs and rubs the back of her neck. 
Eve: Yeah I am fine just really tired. 
Scott: That was quite a performance you were giving in the ER. 
Eve looks at Scott a bit confused, then remembers what happend. 
Eve: Oh yeah 
Eve turns beat red with embarresment. 
Eve: I'm sorry I don't know what got into me I guess I was just really scared. 
Scott: You know it looks like Karen is just fine. 
Eve nods 
Eve: I realize that now. It's just well when Gabriella told me Karen had been in a crash I remembered the night Julie died. You know it was alot like tonight weather wise. I thought about how devistated Chris was and how he felt I'd let him down. I remembered how long it took him to forgive me. You know Scott I still have nightmares sometimes about it being my fault. 
Scott: Aw hell don't you listen to that yahoo. You are a great doctor and it's not your fault 
Eve: I know that in my head Scott and even though Chris knows it to now it dosn't change the fact that Julie is dead. It dosn't change the fact that my best pal lost the love of his life. You know since he started dating Karen he's been happier then he's been in a long time. And you know how much I care about Karen I guess I just 
Eve shakes her head 
Eve: I don't know I guess if I did make a mistake I didn't want to make it again, and I most sertenly didn't want anyone being devistated again especially not Chris. 
Scott nods and puts his arm around Eve 
Scott: You are one amazing person you know that. 
Eve smiles and half laughs 
Eve: Yeah I'm really amazing I had a full blown panic attack in the ER and made a fool out of myself. 
Scott: It's only because you care. 
Just then Ian walks over. 
Ian: Excuse me 
Eve and Scott jump up 
Eve: Ian how is she?! 
Scott: What the hell is going on Thornheart 
Ian: Karen is going to be just fine. 
Eve and Scott breath a sigh of relief. 
Ian: She has a couple cracked ribs, a brused lung, a slight case of wip lash, and a small concushion. We're going to keep her over night for observation but she is going to be fine. If all goes well she will be released tomarrow. 
Eve: That's wonderful! 
Scott: Can we see her? 
Ian nods 
Ian: Yes I'm sure she'd like to see both of you. 
Eve and Scott head off. 

Chris stands by Karen's beside holding her hand as they waite for her room to be ready. Karen looks up at him and sees the fear in his face and the worry in his eyes. Karen sighs 
Karen: Chris 
Chris jumps 
Chris: What? what? do you hurt somewhere? Are you thirsty? What's wrong? 
Karen smiles patiently and squezes her hand 
Karen: I'm fine okay you don't have to worry you can relax now. 
Chris: I know it's just 
Chris shakes his head 
Karen: It a little to formilure? 
Chris nods 
Chris: Yeah you could say that. 
Karen: Well I'm not Julie, my injuries are not that seareus, and furthermore you're not going to get rid of me that easily Ramsey. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: Is that a promis? 
Karen: You have my word 
Chris smiles and relaxes a little 
Chris: Well that's good enough for me. 
He leans down and kisses her gently. Scott and Eve walk in 
Eve: Oh get a room! 
Karen laughs 
Karen: We're still waiting for one. 
They all chuckle. Scott walks over to her and gently strokes her head 
Scott: Hi 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Hi 
Scott: You know you scared us pretty good. I don't know what I'd do if 
Scott gets chocked up. Karen's eyes start to tear at his loving concern. 
Karen: Dad I''m okay 
Scott pulls himself together 
Scott: Well ofcourse you're you're my daughter after all. 
Karen smiles loving the closeness. 
Karen: Is Serena here? 
Scott shakes his head 
Scott: No no I droped her off with a neibor I wanted to concentrate on you. 
Karen smiles happily. 
Eve: Karen I'm so glad you're okay 
Eve moves in and takes Karen's hand, Karen smiles 
Karen: Well I had a great team working on me. I'm glad to see you're okay to I was kind of worried about you. 
Eve turns bright red with embarresment 
Eve: Oh I'm fine sorry about that just over tired I guess. 
Karen catches Chris's eye and gives him a look Chris nods and tugs at Eve's arm 
Chris: Uh Eve can I have a word with you? 
Eve: What? Oh yeah sure. 
Eve and Chris move over to a corner to talk 
Eve: I 
Chris puts his hand up 
Chris: Please listen. Eve you are a wonderful doctor. You have never let anyone down. Your skills are impeckable and your concern and professionalisem next to none. I mean Eve lets face it what other doctor here could have worked on Greg after everything he'd done. You are among the best. The night Julie died I was completly and totaly out of line, I was a first class jerk. Eve I have no doubt that you did everything and then some to try and save Julie. You simply couldn't because no one could. Her injuries were to suvear. I understand that and except that now. I was angry, depressed beyond words, and just wanted to lash out at someone and you were the easiest target. But Eve I was wrong to Julie couldn't have been in better hands and I know that. You have nothing to prove to me, nothing to make up for and you owe me nothing. I hope you can forgive me but even more I hope you can forgive yourself for being humane. Because I never want to see you loose it like that again Eve never. 
Eve is stairing at Chris with tears running down her face. 
Eve: I I don't know quite what to say. 
Chris: You don't have to say anything. Karen is fine and if she hadn't been I know you could have handled it, Julie was not save able and I know you couldn't help that. I'm sorry that I made you doubt yourself I had no right to do that. 
Chris hugs Eve as she cries. 
Eve: I just never want you to think I don't care about you again. 
Chris nods 
Chris: I won't and I was a fool to doubt that. 
Eve takes a deep breath and rubs her face. 
Eve: Okay enough of that what can I do for you now please tell me 
Chris: Well I don't intend to leave this hospital till Karen dose so 
Eve: So you need a change of clothes? 
Chris nods 
Eve: That's fine I'm off duty now anyway. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: Thanks 
Eve: Hey that's what friends are for. 
They hug and then walk back over to Karen and Scott. 
Karen: So did you get everything worked out? 
Eve nods 
Eve: yeah I think so. Listen I'm going to go pick up somethings for Chris do you want me to stop by your place and get somethings for you? 
Karen: Eve you don't have to and Chris you don't have to stay. 
Chris: Okay first off Wexler you're the paitent we're the doctors and I'm staying got it 
Karen burst out laughing 
Karen: Yes sir anything else? 
Eve: We're your friends and we're going to be here for you wether you like it or not. 
Karen moans teasingly 
Karen: Oh what a burden 
They all laugh. 
Eve: So you want anything or what? 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Sure thanks my keys are well I don't know where my keys are 
They all laugh 
Chris: I have them Frank gave me your purse. 
He hands Eve Karen's keys. 
Eve: Okay I'll be back soon 
Chris: Drive careful we don't need anymore emergancy's 
Eve pretends to sulute 
Eve: yes sir! 
they all crack up and Eve leaves. 
Scott: Well I'm going to go let Lee, Gail, and Serena know you're okay 
He leans down and kisses Karen on the head 
Karen: Okay bye 
Scott: Bye 
Scott leaves just as Gabriella and Denise come in the room. 
Gabriella: Okay her room is ready. 
Chris: Great lets roll. 
They wheel Karen to her room. 

Lucy is pacing by the phone rubbing her stomach as she worries about Kevin. 
Lucy: It's going to be okay kids I'll make sure Daddy is okay. 
Lucy sighs heavily and turns towards the door and takes a deep breath 
Lucy: Okay Doc enough of this I want you to walk through that door right now! 
Lucy stairs at the door nothing she sighs in exasperation grabs her coat and heads out. As she walks she sees Kevin's car still in the drive way. 
Lucy: Okay he's close but where? 
Lucy looks around desperatly for a clue.Suddenly she hears Sigmond quacking at her. She sees him standing by a row of bushes. 
Lucy: Siggy! You know where Doc is don't you! 
Sigmond quacks 
Lucy: Okay okay show me where Daddy is Siggy! 
Sigmond waddles off with Lucy waddiling close behind. He leads her right to the duck pond. Lucy sees Kevin standing by the water stairing into space his hands shuved in his packets and his face looking tormented. Lucy sighs as she looks at him worriedly. She slowly makes her way to him and stand quietly next to him for a second. 
Lucy: Hey there Doc, been wondering where you disapeared to. 
Kevin turns and sees the worry in Lucy's face he sighs and takes her hand. 
Kevin: I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you worry I know that's not good for you. 
Kevin half laughs 
Kevin: This is just great they aren't even here yet and I'm messing up! 
Lucy grabs onto his arm 
Lucy: Now you hold it right there Doc you haven't messed anything up and you're not going to mess anything up you got that! 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: But Lucy 
Lucy: No no butts 
Lucy sees the great doubt in Kevin's eyes and sighs sadly. 
Lucy: Oh Doc what can I say to you to make you see you are not your parants, what can I do for you to show you that these twins are not you and Ryan. How can I help you understand that these babies are miracles and will only bring us joy. I know things have been hard for you things have been hard for both of us. Oh but Doc don't you see everything we missed out on as children, everything we wish someone had done or said to us or for us, everything we didn't get we can give to our children. How can I help you see that? 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: Lucy I know all of that in my head and then some but in my heart 
Kevin just shakes his head. 
Kevin: How can I know what kind of father I will be. 
Lucy: Oh yeah all the time you've spent playing with Christina and Serena all the time you've spent helping Serena with homework reading to her and just being there none of that means a thing does it. I mean really who cares that you've been there for them constantly and been winning them over on a daily basis. 
Kevin thinks 
Kevin: Well I guess I have been kind of doing fatherly things. 
Lucy smiles with tears in her eyes 
Lucy: Kevin you get up in the night with Christina, you feed her, you read to her, you play with her, you cuddle with her you know what to do with a baby. You talk to Serena, listen to music with Serena, play with Serena, do homework with Serena Kevin you know how to be a father to a kid. Face it Kevin you know what to do with kids. And when it comes to your own. 
Lucy takes Kevin's hand and places it on her stomach 
Lucy: You'll be fantastic 
Kevin smiles with tears in his eyes and shakes his head. 
Kevin: How do you do that? 
Lucy: Do what? 
Kevin: Make everything seem okay. 
Lucy smiles well first off everything is going to be okay and secondly making you realize how wonderful you are is part of my job. After all we are soulmates. 
Kevin smiles and pulls her in 
Kevin: We are soulmates aren't we 
Lucy smiles 
Lucy: Oh yeah 
They laugh and kiss tenderly. 

As the morning sun floats gently into the fire house, it streams across Scott and Eve sleeping peacefully in each others embrace. Scott awakens and looks down and Eve's peaceful face. He kisses her gently on the forhead. Eve's eyes flutter open and she smiles up at Scott. 
Scott: Goodmorning gorgus 
Eve kisses him softly 
Eve: Goodmorning to you to. 
Scott: How did you sleep? 
Eve smiles 
Eve: the way I always do when I'm in your arms peacerfully and wonderful. 
Scott: Gee I hope that dosn't mean I'm boring. 
Eve laughs 
Eve: Aw not in the least. Thanks for bringing me here last night. 
Scott: Well you had been so upset at the hospital I didn't think you should be alone. 
Eve smiles 
Eve: Well I'm okay now but I sertenly appriceated not being alone. 
Eve sighs 
Eve: Speaking of the hospital I better get up I want to check Karen over myself before she is released. And yes I will do it with a sound mind this time. 
Scott pulls her close 
Scott: And what a pretty mind it is. 
They kiss. 
Eve: okay now I really should get up. 
Eve pulls herself out of bed. 
Scott: Yeah I want to see her before she is released also. 
Eve: I'm surprised you even left her side last night. 
Scott: Yeah well she is okay and was in pretty good hands with Chris there you know. 
Eve gasps in amazment as she looks at Scott 
Eve: I don't believe it Scott Baldwin just gave Chris Ramsey a complement. 
Scott: Well you know I have had my problems with him but he's been good to my daughter and makes her happy I can't fault him for that. 
Eve shakes her head in amazment 
Eve: Waite till I tell Chris 
Scott playfully grabs her 
Scott: You're not telling anyone 
Eve smiles devilishly 
Eve: Wanna bet 
Eve pretends to run for the phone Scott grabs her and starts tickeling her. Eve is laughing histarically as she tries to tical him back 
Eve: Scott he he he Likes Ha ha ha Chris!! AAaaa 
She falls onto the bed Scott holding her down playfully tickeling her. 
Eve: Let me up 
Scott: Not till you promis not to tell! 
Eve grabs a pillow and swats him then jumps up and runs from the room to the shower 
Eve; SCOTT LIKES CHRIS SCOTT LIKES CHRIS!! 
Scott playfully chases after her 
Scott: I'm going to get you Lamburt 
He runs into the bathroom and stops in his tracks Eve is standing there completly naked 
Eve: So come get me Baldwin 
She pulls him close and kisses him pationetly. Then proceeds to pulls his shirt off. Scott lifts Eve up and carries her into the shower. 
Scott: I think we're going to be late 
He starts planting hot kisses everywhere 
Eve runs her hands across his back 
Eve: Deffinetly 
As the hot water pounds against their bodies they make passionate love. 

The sun streams into Karen's hospital room. She slowly opens her eyes and looks around. As she wakes up more she remembers the events of last night. She groans a little as she tries to sit up. She looks over and sees Chris fast asleep on a stool next to her bed his head laying inches from her hand on the bed. Karen smiles and shakes her head. 
Karen: My prince 
She lightly strokes his hair. He moves a little then bolts upright. 
Chris: Karen! 
He is standing at her side in a mila second 
Chris: What's wrong?! What is it?! What do you need?! Do you hurt somewhere? Are you thirsty? Can I get you something? 
Chris looks at her with sheer panic, Karen just starts laughing. 
Karen: I see we have been taking some panic lessons from Eve. 
She smiles at him and shakes her head 
Karen: Sit 
Chris sits down on the bed blushing bright red. 
Chris: Sorry I guess I over reacted. 
He gently reaches up and strokes her face 
Chris: It's just that I love you so much Karen. I want to protect you and be there for you in every way. The thought of something happening to you 
Chris gets choked up and rubs his face. Karen takes his hands in hers and looks at him compationatly. 
Karen: Chris I love you to. You are one of the best things that has happend to me in a long time. And I want to be there for you and help you in every way I can. But I really am fine Chris. 
Chris: And I want you to stay that way. 
Karen: And I'm sure I don't have to tell you that life is way to short to walk around worrying what's going to happen next. Chris I'm here now so rather then worry about what might or might not happen lets just celebrate the time we do have. It's ours to savor. Please Chris lets not waiste it being scared. Besides I'm fine so why worry now? 
Chris smiles and shakes his head. 
Chris: You amaze me Karen you really do 
Karen smiles 
Karen: I do? 
Chris: Here you are lying in a hospital bed after being in a big reck and you're not scared, complaining or even worried. Infact you are making me feel better. 
Chris then gets a very unpleased look on his face 
Chris: That's not right you should not be worrying about me. I need to get my act together. 
Karen sighs 
Karen: Chris incase you haven't noticed we're a team. It's not all you taking care of me or me taking care of you. The fact is I don't really need to be taken care of right now. You however 
Karen places her hands on Chris's shoulders 
Karen: Just had a terrifying expereance of day sha vu. It's only natural that you'd be a little jumpy. Chris I'm sorry it scared you so bad but look at me I'm fine, we both are. Karen wraps her arms around him and holds him close. 
Chris: Thank God for that. 
Just then there is a nock at the door. 
Chris: come in 
Garcia walks in 
Karen: Hi Garcia 
Chris: hello detective. 
Garcia smiles 
Garcia: Goodmorning both of you. Karen how are you feeling? 
Karen: Well I'm pretty sore but over all I'm okay. 
Chris: She's going home later today. 
Garcia: Well I'm glad you're doing well. 
Karen: Thankyou 
Chris: I'm very thankful she is. So what brings you by detective? 
Garcia gets a very seareus look on his face. 
Garcia: I need to talk to you about your accident. 
Karen and Chris look at each other not sure what to make of this. 
Karen: Well okay I basicly lost controle of the car, got hit, found my brakes wouldn't work and then got hit again and went down an embankment. 
Garcia nods 
Chris: That car is a peace of junk. I can't believe both the steering and the brakes went out on you. I'm getting you a new car and that's that. 
Karen smiles and shakes her head. She knows Chris well enough to know when not to argue. 
Garcia: I'm afraid there maybe a little more to it then that. 
Chris and Karen look at each other confused 
Karen: What do you mean? 
Garcia sighs 
Garcia: Upon careful inspection of your car we discovered that your steering colume and brakes had been tampered with. They didn't just stop working Karen someone made sure they would stop working. 
Chris: WHAT!! 
Karen: Someone ment for me to crash? 
Garcia: I'm afraid it looks that way. 
Chris: But who would want to hurt Karen! 
Karen and Chris lock eyes as the awful truth sets in 
Karen: It was Joe 
Karen's eyes fill with tears and she starts shaking 
Garcia: He is sertenly our maine suspect at this time. 
Karen: OH GOD WHEN IS THIS GOING TO END! WHEN IS HE GOING TO LEAVE ME ALONE!! 
Karen starts sobbing. Chris sits down beside her and tenderly wraps her in his arms and holds her close 
Chris: It will be over soon Karen I swear. I swear on Julie's grave he will pay for this and he will never hurt you again. 
Garcia: I didn't mean to upset you. I'm sorry I should go. Karen I'm very glad you are alright. I'll be in contact as soon as we have more information 
Garcia turns to go 
Chris: Garcia 
Garcia turns Chris is still holding Karen tightly to him. 
Garcia: Yes? 
Let the media know that I'm offering a 50 thousand doller reword to anyone with information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this. 
Garcia nods and leaves quietly. Karen looks up at Chris through her tears 
Karen: Chris you don't need to 
Chris gently strokes Karen's face as he continues to hold her 
Chris: shh yes I do I love you and I won't let anyone get away with hurting you. It's going to be okay Karen. Just lean on me okay I'm here and I am not letting this monster get away with this I love you. 
He kisses her softly and continues to hold her as she cries softly till she falls asleep. 

Victor is in his den working on his computer when there is a sudden nock at the door. Victor quickly goes over and opens it. He finds Kevin standing on his front stoop. 
Victor: Monk! Well what a nice surprise this is come in is Lucy with you? 
He looks out the door as Kevin comes in. 
Kevin: No she had some arrens to run. I'm meeting her later for lunch. 
Victor: Splended 
Kevin is pacing around Victor and Mary's living room. 
Victor: I'd offer you some coffie but you seem pretty keyed up as it is. 
Kevin: Well that's one way to put it. Is Mary around? 
Victor: she's upstairs getting ready for work. 
Victor shakes his head 
Victor: I'd rather she didn't work in her condition and all but she loves it so much I wouldn't dream of of stopping her. 
Kevin nods 
Victor: So are you going to tell me what's wrong or do I have to use some of my spy tricks on you 
Victor smiles knowingly at Kevin 
Kevin groans and plops down on the coutch. Victor looks at Kevin worriedly. 
Victor: Lucy is alright isn't she? Nothing has happend has it?! 
Kevin: No no nothing like that. 
Victor: Is the baby alright? 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: Actually it's babies 
Victor looks puzzled. 
Kevin: Lucy had her sonagram yesturday. We're having twins. 
Victor's face lights up 
Victor: Oh Monk that's simply splended news! How wonderful! 
Kevin gives Victor a look. Kevin looks at Kevin trying to read between the lines. 
Victor: You don't think it's wonderful? 
Kevin: No well I mean yes I mean I don't know what I mean! 
Kevin sighs and rubs his face tiredly. 
Kevin: I love the idea of having a baby with Lucy, and I love children. But 
Kevin shakes his head. Victor looks at Kevin knowingly 
Victor: But the idea of having twins scares you 
Kevin: I think of those babies so defenceless and impresionable. They can be so easily molded by everything I say or do. They are blank slates and God only knows what I may cause to be writen on those slates. They are helpless, defencless, inocent, impressionable, completely moldable beings. All I can think about is 
Victor gets a sad look on his face 
Victor: All you can think about is the childhood you and Ryan had and how it affected you both. 
Kevin: He became a seareal killer and I stalked and kidnapped my best friend. How brave can I feel right now when I know how horribly wrong a life can go because of choices made by parants. Yes yes I know two babies isn't that much different then one. But when I saw those two babies on the sonagram 
Kevin looks down and shakes his head 
Kevin: All I could think of was me and Ryan. 
Victor takes Kevins hand 
Victor: Kevin there is not a day that goes by when I don't question what I did or think about what I have could done instead or done differently. I spend alot of time wishing I could have saved Ryan, and morning his loss. I hold myself responsible for every life he destroyed. I know I'm not completly to blame but I do know that I played a part. That's a guilt and ashame that I will carry to my grave. But Monk I can't let it controle me I can't let that fear stop me from living or prevent me from being a better father this time around. If I do then this child will suffer and I will not allow anuther one of my children to suffer. We can't let our mistakes, fears, or guilt hold us still or those fears will come to pass. We can't change the passed only the future. Monk you have a chance to be a wonderful father and I have no doubt you will be. As you said these children are clean slates nothing has happend yet. They aren't you and Ryan they won't have the same lives or the same expereances. Put the past where it belongs take only the knowledge you've ganed from it and put that knowledge to use. The only way you can repeate the past is if you live in fear of it. Do your best by your children and have faith. 
Kevin smiles at Victor and shakes his head. 
Kevin: Well I don't know what you're going to be like with your new baby but if it's half as good as you're being with me right now it will be one very lucky baby. You're a great Dad. 
Victor blushes with tears in his eyes He puts his arm around Kevin's shoulders 
Kevin: And you will be a great one to. 
They hug 
Victor: Feel better? 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: Yeah some 
Victor: Also Monk don't forget alot of what happend to Ryan and you was a result of your mother. Now I know Lucy has her qurks but you and I both know that she will be an outstanding mother. 
Kevin smiles and nods 
Kevin: That I have no doubt of. You're right Lucy will keep us all ontrack. 
Victor: And I doubt you'll need much help staying on track. I've seen you with Serena and Christina trust me Monk you have what it takes. 
Kevin smiles appriceativly. 
Kevin: Can I ask you a question? 
Victor: Ofcourse 
Kevin: When you and Mom found out about me and Ryan what was it like? 
Victor gets a distant look in his eye and thinks back. 
Victor: Your Mother wasn't always crazy Monk. I wouldn't have married her if she was. 
Victor sighs sadly 
Victor: She was very young when we married. She was shy, insecure, very clingy and sensitive. But there was something about her that just drew me in. It seemed as though when she was in my arms that all melted away. She was strong, out going, funny, tough, and charming. It was as if she had two personalities. One I heard about and observed from a distants and the happy always charming one she was when I was near. When we found out we were having twins we were beyond thrilled. You couldn't find two happier more excited more thrilled people in the world. We couldn't waite for our little Mirricals to arrive. Did I ever tell you how we chose your names? 
Kevin shakes his head no 
Victor: Well since there were two of you we both got to pick a name. I had a brother who had been killed in world war 2. He had been my best friend and someone I truly looked up to. He was a hero in my eyes and to many others. I remember in school he was the kid that would give his lunch away to one of the poor kids so they could eat. He would chase bully's off if he saw someone getting picked on, volinteer to help carry packages, or groceries for people. Basicly he just was always helping someone. 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: Sounds like a wonderful man. 
Victor nods as he wipes a tear from his eye 
Victor: Yeah and I wanted one of my sons to have his name. That's how you got the name Kevin. 
Victor shakes his head with a smile on his face. 
Victor: Now look at you, look at all the people you've helped by being a doctor and a friend. Look at what a difference you've made in so many lives. You really are aptly named. 
Kevin smiles and blushes 
Kevin: Well I don't know about all that but thanks it deffinetly makes me feel good to have his name. So mom named Ryan? 
Victor nods 
Victor: Ryan was the name of her father. He had died when she was young and it really had devistated her. She wanted to pass his name on to a child of her own. 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: What happend? 
Victor sighs 
Victor: After you were born your mother became suverly depressed. She was always crying or angry she told me on many occasions that she heard voices. I didn't know what to do. I tried to get her to go see someone for help but in those days theripy was frowned upon and not readily availible anyway. Not to mention extreamly expensive. Truth is she would have been put in an asylum had I tried to get her help, and while in hine sight that may have been a good thing at the time I really didn't believe it was nessisary. Monk never in my wildest darkest most frightening dreams could I have imagend her capable of what she did to Ryan. 
Victor starts crying Kevin hugs his father. 
Kevin: I'm sorry Dad I didn't mean to upset you. I know there is no way you could have suspected that. But thankyou for telling me the story it actually sheds some light on things. 
Victor half smiles 
Victor: I'm glad I could help. 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: Well I need to get going I have somethings to take care of over at the hospital. 
Victor nods and walks Kevin to the door. 
Victor: Well have a good day and remember what I told you Monk you'll be great. 
Kevin smiles 
Kevin: Thanks Dad and you're great. 
They hug and Kevin leaves Victor sighs. Victor pulls out his wallet and opens it. Inside he looks at an old tattered picture of two little boys sitting in a play pen smiling. 
Victor: I'm sorry my boys I'm so sorry. 
Victor starts crying. 

At the nurses station Chris is talking to Traci. 
Chris: And you got the camera crew cleared right? 
Traci nods 
Traci: I explained what was going on to Alan and he was appauled. He said anything he could do to help us bring this monster to justice he is happy to do. The camera crew should be here shortly. 
Chris: Great if there is one thing I know it's that people respond to money so if anyone dose know anything I'm sure 50 thousand dollers will bring them out of the wood work. 
Traci nods 
Traci: It will sertenly help. Chris do you really think it's Joe again? 
Chris sighs 
Chris: You know Karen wants to believe she wasn't completly wrong about him so badly. So for her sake I can't help but hope that it wasn't Joe. But I also can't look the other way she could have been killed 
Chris shakes his head angrily. Traci reaches out her hand and places it ontop of Chris's hand 
Traci: But she wasn't she's just fine 
Chris: And I'm thankful beyond words for that. But I'm not going to take it for granted and regardless of how much she may want us to be wrong about Joe I can't pretend. Traci aside from Joe no one even dislikes Karen. I mean even Mary who was anything but pleased with her dating Joe has wormed up to her. And he tried to kill her once before with those drugs so why shouldn't we think he'd try again. 
Traci nods and sighs 
Traci: I agree my gutt tells me it's him. 
Chris: Well you should always listen to your gutt Traci. I've listend to my instincts for a long time and let me tell you they come in very handy. 
Traci nods in agreement and smiles 
Traci: Well my gutt tells me we'll find this person pretty easily and that Karen is very safe with you. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: Well I sertenly intend to keep her safe. I had Garcia post a gaurd outside her door just to be on the safe side. I don't think anyone will try anything but you can never be to careful. 
Traci nods. 
Traci: Is there anything I can do? 
Just then they notice Jill stepping off the elivator. She has two black eyes a big bruse on her cheeck a fat lip, her arm have welts on them and she looks like she's been crying. 
Chris looks at her and back at Traci with a raised eye brow. Traci nods and smiles. Chris moves a little bit away to give Traci room. Jill comes over to the nurses station slowly as if it hurts to walk. 
Traci: Jill are you okay? What happend? 
Jill looks at her as if she wants to say something but then gets a defeated look on her face 
Jill: Nothing 
She checks her messages. 
Traci: Come on Jill I know we've had are differences but I still care about you. You look like you've been in some kind of fight or something what happend? Do you need someone to take a look at you? 
Jill sighs 
Jill: Traci I really don't want to talk about it okay. I'm fine I just am a little clumsey that's all. 
Traci: You really think I'm going to buy that one. Come on Jill you know I know better. I have worked in the ER far to long to believe that. 
Jill sighs a trear runs down her face and her chin quivers Traci moves towards her. 
Traci: Do you want to talk privatly? 
Jill: No! Look Traci I can't talk about this! If you really want to help me then stop asking questions. 
Jill starts to walk away Traci grabs her by the hand. 
Traci: How much do you think Joe deserves to get away with? 
Jill looks at Traci intencly. 
Jill: Don't think for a minute I like any of this Traci. Don't think for one second I don't know exactly what Joe is. But I got myself into this mess and to be perfectly honnest all things considered I don't really think I deserve to get out. Now leave me alone! 
Jill hurries off with a file. Traci watches Jill go then looks over at Chris. Chris comes back to the nurses station. 
Traci: You catch all of that. 
Chris nods 
Chris: Yeah and I think with just the propper nudging Jill just might be the key that brings down Joe. 
Traci nods 
Traci: What are you going to do? 
Chris sighs 
Chris: Well she clearly needs help and support right now and as a doctor I can always refer anuther doctor to her. 
Traci's face lights up 
Traci: Kevin! 
Chris smiles 
Chris: Precisly. It will help us get the evidence we need to put Joe behind bars for a very long time, it will give Karen the justice she deserves as well as peace of mind, and it will also help Jill. No woman deserves to be hurt and from the sounds of it she really needs some help to get out. 
Traci nods in agreement. 
Traci: Do you want me to leave a message for him to get in contact with you as soon as possible? 
Chris: Sounds good to me. 
Traci nods and quickly writes a note and puts it in Kevin's message box. 

Scott and Eve are walking down the hall to Karen's room. 
Eve: Well you sertenly know how to slow a girl down Mr. Baldwin 
she jokingly punches Scott's arm. Scott laughs 
Scott: Now hold is right there I was suduced! 
Eve tosses her head back playfully 
Eve: Oh please that's the oldest excuse in the book. 
Scott suddenly stops in his tracks 
Eve: Scott? 
Scott: What the hell is a gaurd doing outside Karen's room?! 
Eve gets a worried look on her face 
Eve: I don't know lets go find out. 
They hurry over to Karen's room. 
Eve: Excuse me I'm Dr. Eve Lamburt and this is Scott Baldwin the patients father is there some sort of problem? 
Gaurd: Detective Garcia had me assigned to keep an eye on Dr. Wexler untill further notice. 
Scott: What the hell for! 
Eve puts her hand on Scott's arm. 
Eve: Scott calm down. Thankyou we'll be going in now. 
Gaurd: I'll need to see both your ID's before you can go in 
Scott: That's my daughter in there! 
Eve: And he's obviusly trying to keep her safe Scott. Come on show him your ID Garcia wouldn't do this for no reason. 
They show their ID's and go in. Karen is sitting up in bed looking at a magizene. 
Karen: Hi guys. 
Both of them rush over to her. 
Eve: Karen are you okay? 
Karen laughs 
Karen: Oh no not that again. 
Eve half laughs 
Eve: Karen I'm seareus how are you feeling 
Scott: Where the hell is Ramsey and why is there a guard outside your door! 
Karen sighs 
Karen: Aside from being a little stressed and sore I'm fine really. As for Chris he's waiting to meet with a camera crew by the six floor nurses station and the gaurd is there incase someone tries something. 
Scott: INCASE SOMEONE TRIES WHAT! 
Eve: Scott please keep your voice down! Karen why do you need a gaurd and why is Chris meeting with a camera crew. 
Karen: Well personally I think a gaurd is a bit much but you know Chris. 
She sighs 
Karen: Garcia came to see Chris and me this morning. After looking at the car they have concluded that my accident was no accident. It seems that someone tampered with the steering colume, and the breaks. They ment for me to crash and probubly ment for me to be killed. 
Karen wipes a tear away from her face and takes a deep breath 
Scott and Eve gasp in horrer 
Eve: OH My God Karen that's horrible! Thank God Chris got a gaurd! Do they have any idea who 
Eve sighs 
Eve: Oh no not again 
Scott: I'M GOING TO KILL THAT NO GOOD MONSTER! 
Karen: Dad no please everything is under controle 
Scott: EXCUSE ME I DON'T CALL SOME LOONITIC TRYING TO KILL MY DAUGHTER HAVING EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROLE! 
Karen: But Garcia and Chris are working on it and since we have a pretty good idea of who it is and all it shouldn't be to hard. 
Scott: I can't believe I ever helped that creep. 
Eve shakes her head sadly 
Eve: How could we have been so wrong about him 
Karen: Well we don't know for sure that it is him. that's part of why Chris is doing what he's doing. So that we make sure the right person pays. 
Eve: What is he doing? 
Karen: Well he's meeting with the news media to anounce a 50 thousand doller reward to be given to anyone that has information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person who did this. Nothing motivates like money so it should help. 
Eve: Wow 
Scott: Well he sure is protective of you can't fault him for that. 
Karen gasps 
Karen: What is this I hear aproval being given by my father about Chris Ramsey! Eve I made need oxygen after all. 
Karen, Eve and Scott chuckle. 
Scott: Ah hell he loves my daughter I totaly hate anyone who has enough sence to love and protect my little girl. 
Karen smiles 
Eve: Well I'm going to go find Chris he's probubly wired and could use a friend. 
Scott: Yeah and I want to talk to Garcia we'll be back 
He leans down and kisses Karen's cheeck, Eve gives her a hug 
Karen: Okay see you soon hey tell Chris to hurry back I'm getting lonely in here 
Karen smiles 
Eve: will do 
They leave in search of Chris. Karen leans back and sighs. 
Karen: Well at least I know I'm not wrong about these three. 

Kevin is at the nurses station looking over his messages when he finds the message from Chris. Kevin looks at it a tad confused. 
Kevin: What in the world is this about. 
Chris comes around the corner and sees him 
Chris: Collins, just the man I've been looking for I need a word with you. 
Kevin turns around a bit surprised. 
Kevin: Hello Chris. 
Chris: Can we step over here this is important 
Kevin: Okay 
Kevin and Chris move over to the waiting area. Kevin looks at Chris skeptically and folds his arms. 
Kevin: So what can I do for you. 
Chris: Karen was in a car reck last night. 
Kevin gasps 
Kevin: What! Is she alright?! 
Chris: Yes thankfully she's fine just a little banged up. The thing is Garcia after examening the car came to the conclusion that it was no accident. Apparently someone messed with the steering colume and the breaks. 
Kevin gasps in horrer 
Kevin: That's insane who would want to hurt Karen! 
Chris looks at Kevin 
Chris: Think back a couple months 
Kevin pauses then sighs heaviily 
Kevin: Joe 
Chris: He sertenly comes to mind dosn't he. I mean we know he was trying for months to destory her, and we know he tried to drug possibly kill her. 
Kevin: And considering he's the only enimy Karen has it's probubly him 
Kevin rubs his forhead and sighs. 
Chris: It sertenly adds up that way. 
Kevin: Have they arrested him yet? 
Chris: No right now it's only a hunch we have no evidence. That's why I'm having a TV crew meet me here soon. I'm offering a 50 thousand doller reword to anyone with information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the colperit. 
Kevin: That's alot of money 
Chris: Yeah well Karen means alot to me. I love her and I'm not about to let some insane monster hurt her. 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: Well between the money and Garcia investigating I'd say you're well on your way to catching him. Is there anything I can do? 
Chris smiles 
Chris: I'm glad you asked that because it just so happens there is. 
Kevin: Well okay what 
Chris: You know Joe's girlfriend Jill? 
Kevin nods 
Chris: Well it's pretty clear to everyone here that she's being beaten on a regular bases and it dosn't take a genus to figure out by who. 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: yeah I've seen her around she is pretty banged up isn't she 
Chris: To say the least. She is also from what I gather the one person Joe confides all his plans to. 
Kevin: Well if she is being beaten then trying to trick her into telling could be deadly to her Chris 
Kevin looks at him searusly 
Chris sighs 
Chris: Kevin look I may be alot of things but a cold hearted killer or axsesory to a killer is not one of them. I am not only trying to protect Karen here I'm trying to save Jill. No woman deserves to be hit. I grew up in a house watching my Mom and any other woman my Dad brought home being beat and I swore that when I became a man I would never stand by and watch a woman be beaten again. 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: That's very noble of you. 
Chris: I'm not trying to be noble Kevin I'm trying to protect the woman I love and an inocent woman who has gotten herself way in over her head. And at the same time put a man who has hurt many people away for a long time. Now I know you don't like me and frankly I'm not all that fond of you but this isn't about me this is about Karen someone you clame to care about and a nurse who has done nothing to you. 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: What can I do? 
Chris: You're a theripist and that it was Jill needs. Someone to help her leave Joe and to speak up about the things he's done and may be planning. Kevin look you work with wemon like Jill every day. I'm not asking you to do anything wrong I'm asking you to do your job and in the prosses save a couple of lives. I saw Jill today she's running out of time and even though I am protecting Karen with everything I have I'm only one person. Joe is completly out of controle and needs to be stopped. If you don't want to talk to Jill for me then do it of her or how about for Karen. 
Kevin sighs seeing the concern and sinsarity in Chris's eyes and hears it in his voice. 
Kevin: Okay look I'll talk to her but I can't promis anything. Chris getting a battered woman to leave the relationship she is in is hard enough but getting her to press charges and tell everything he's said and done is near impossible. 
Chris: Just try okay 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: I'll see what I can do 
Kevin walks off. Just then the camera crew arrive. 
Reporter: Dr. Ramsey? 
Chris: Yes I'm doctor Ramsey 
Reporter smiles and exstends her hand. 
Reporter: Hello I'm Desi Justice from KYT TV 
Chris shakes her hand 
Chris: Oh yes ofcourse thankyou for comming on such short notice. 
Desi: Anytime, our station believes it's our duty to protect and defend Port Charles. We have a monster on the loose so we're happy to do all we can to stop him 
Chris smiles 
Chris: I like your style. 
Just then Scott and Eve come running over. 
Scott: Ramsey what's going on! 
Eve: Chris is it true? Is it really Joe? 
Chris: Ms. Justice this is Scott Baldwin the victems father and her friend Dr. Eve Lamburt. 
Desi: It's a pleasure to meet both of you 
Eve: Nice to meet you 
Scott: Good to meet you. So what's going on Ramsey 
Chris: Well I'm guessing Karen filled you in on everything we know so far correct? 
they nod 
Chris: Well right now I have Kevin working on getting some information from a possible source and I'm about to make a public plea for help and offer some money for information. 
Scott: Sounds like you got it all covered 
Chris: Well Karen means the world to me. I love her and I'm not about to love her. I couldn't do anything to protect Julie but I can and will protect Karen. Scott nothing is going to happen to Karen as long as I'm around and that's just the way it is. 
Scott nods Eve smiles 
Eve: Well we're here to help in anyway we can. 
Chris nods 
Chris: Thanks listen Eve Karen is really iching to get home and frankly I'd like to get her out of here to. Can yiou go check her over while I'm doing this so we can leave soon. 
Eve nods 
Eve: Sure I'll go get things in order right now 
Scott: You're not sending her home alone! 
Chris laughs 
Chris: What with someone trying to hurt her on the loose. You are going to need a crow bar and then some to get inbetween me and her. I'm taking her back to my place. 
Desi: We can start now if you like. 
Chris: Fine with me the sooner we do this the sooner that pig is off the street. 
Scott watches from a few feet away as they set up in the waiting area. 
Desi: Hello Port Charles this is your roving reporter Desi Justice coming to you live from General Hospital. We're here live with Dr. Chris Ramsey whose girlfriend Dr. Karen Wexler was admited last night after being in a reck. Chris what makes this reck so important? 
Chris: Well Ms. Justice what makes this reck so important is that it was no accident. The police after looking over the car have determend that someone intended for her to crash. 
Desi: They tampered with her car? 
Chris: Yes the tampered with both the steering colume and the breaks. She was hit twice and ended up upside down in a revien if it hadn't been for her seat belt and the EMT's she'd probubly be dead right now 
Chris starts to get chocked up he wipes his face and swallows hard. 
Desi: Do the police have any leads? 
Chris: They have some theories but nothing concreate. That's why I've asked you here today. 
Chris looks directly into the camera with a very searus and steady gaze. 
Chris: I am offering 50 Thousand dollors to anyone with information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this reck. If you have any information at all please call the PCPD at 555- 1221. You can remaine anonimus if you like just please call. I will gladly hand over this money to anyone who can provide information that will put the culprit of this awful crime behind bars. 
Desi: That's a pretty nice chunk of change you're offering 
Chris: Karen is a wonderful woman and I won't let this go. Justice will be served. 
Desi nods 
Desi: Thankyou Dr. Ramsey, I know we all wish your Karen a speedy recovery. 
Chris: Thankyou so do I. 
Desi turns back to the camera. 
Desi: If you have any information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of this person please call the pcpd at 555-1221 thankyou. I know the people of this town and I know you won't rest till we se justice done. From General Hospital this is Desi Justice reporting live. Back to you in the station Bob. 
Scott: Well Karen looks like this toad just might be a prince after all. 

Kevin is sitting in his office on the phone. 
Kevin: Yes, thank you very much Traci I appriceate the information. I think that will deffinetly help me get Jill to help us. No actually victems of abuse do tend to think they deserve it that's actualy not odd at all. Yes I agree. Okay have a good day I'll talk to you later bye. 
They hang up. There is a nock on the door. 
Kevin: Come in? 
A very uneasy looking Jill comes in slowly. 
Jill: You paged me Dr. Collins? 
Kevin smiles and gets up and gose over to her 
Kevin: Yes I did please have a seat. 
They sit down on the coutch together. 
Jill: Do you need something? 
Kevin: Well it's more something that I want. You know the safety and well being of the people not only in the hospital but who work here as well is all of our concern. 
Jill nods looking rather aprhensive. 
Jill: That's a very noble trian of thought. 
Kevin: It's not just a train of thought Jill it's a fact. Dr. Steve Hardy considered this place his exstended family and believed if people were going to work succesfully together that they needed to look out for and care about each other. 
Jill nods 
Jill: I never had the privlage of meeting him but I understand he was a great man 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: Yes he truly was. 
Jill: But what dose this have to do with me? 
Kevin thinks picking his words carefully. 
Kevin: Jill I'm sure you realize that interms of the medical personel at this hospital you are not fooling anyone with your excuses about being clumsy. We have all seen and heard way to much to believe that. Now I'm not trying to put you on the defencsive but I do want to help you as well as anyone else who might be being hurt. 
Jill starts to open her mouth but Kevin keeps talking 
Kevin: Jill I know you feel you've screwed up in alot of ways but you have never. do not and. will never deserve to be hurt like this. Further more no matter what you may have heard about someone no one else deserves it either. 
Jill: I don't know how to stop it 
Kevin: Well first off you start by telling the truth about what's been going on with you, then you tell Garcia anything you know about other people being hurt. 
Jill gets upset 
Jill: If I tell I''m dead Kevin I don't see how that helps me! 
Kevin smiles patiently and takes her hand in hers. 
Kevin: That's where the people here come in. As I said we are a family around here and we will help you. I can get you set up someplace where you won't be hurt. Also by telling the truth you will insure that who ever is doing these things is locked away so they can no longer hurt you or anyone else. 
Jill: You know Kevin I was tricked into telling once before and I bearly got away with my life. 
Kevin looks at Jill seareusly 
Kevin: Jill I'm sorry that happend to you, you didn't deserve it. But this isn't a trick this is real. If you tell the truth about what's been going on and who else is being hurt, I swear to you I will protect you. That's part of my job and considering one of the people being hurt is someone I care about it's also something I want to do. 
Jill sighs and wipes her tear stained face. 
Jill: I don't know how to start over I don't know how to fix this! 
Kevin: So let me help you. Let me help you get out of and fix this mess. Jill you have the power right now to make things right. 
Jill: How do I know he won't be out in a matter of months and come after me! How do I know once I open my mouth I won't be standing alone. 
Kevin: Because I took an oath and this is part of my job. Jill people here do care and believe me if you stand up and say who has been doing these things and exactly what he's been doing you won't be standing alone. Furthermore 
Kevin holds Jill's hand tightly in both of his 
Kevin: If you tell all you know it will make the crimes seareus enough that he won't get out soon. 
Jill sighs 
Jill: Where do I start and where do I go? 
Kevin: Well yiou start by talking with Garcia after that, you'll finesh your day here then I'll take you to a half way house for battered wemon. Once the coast is clear and he's in jail I'll let you know so you can come back. Once you're back to help you rebuild your life I'll schedule you for regular visits with me. 
Jill: You make it sound so simple 
Kevin: Well parts of it our but I know other parts won't be. But Jill here is something to consider the longer you waite the worse things are going to get. They won't get better only worse. Is it really worth it when your life as well as someone elses is on the line? 
Jill rubs her sore neck 
Jill: I took an oeth to help. 
Jill sighs 
Jill: And I haven't been doing much of that lately, and no he dosn't deserve to get away with hurting me or anyone else. We both deserve justice and I'm the only one at this point that can start that ball rolling. I just don't want to be alone 
Jill wipes a tear from her face. Kevin puts his arm around her 
Kevin: You won't be Jill I promis I'll be with you every step of the way. 
Jill smiles a little then takes a deep breath. 
Jill: Okay then lets go talk to Garcia 
Kevin: Okay 
They get up and leave his office together. 

Eve has fineshed checking Karen over and Karen is now slowly with Eve's help getting dressed. 
Eve: So are you sure you're feeling alright? I didn't miss anything did I? 
Karen thinks 
Karen: Well there is the fact that half of my head is missing and I have misplaced part of my arm but other then then that. 
Karen and Eve burst out laughing Eve playfully throws a pilow at her 
Eve: Oh very funny 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Really Eve I am feeling fine. I'm a little sore and I'd be lying to say I was upset about someone trying to do this to me. And the fact that it was probubly Joe sertenly dosn't help but over all I'm doing okay. 
Eve sits down besides her. 
Eve: You know it might not be Joe 
Karen nods 
Karen: But lets face it it probubly is. 
Eve: Well then he's going to get caught thrown in jail and learn a very good lesson 
Karen shakes her head 
Karen: You know if you'd asked me when we started our internship if I'd ever have to worry about Joe hurting me or have to hope he'd be arrested I'd of laughed in your face 
Eve nods 
Eve: I know this sertenly isn't the man we thought we new. 
Karen: I guess we were wrong about alot of people. I am still somewhat in shock about how wrong I was about Chris. 
Eve laughs 
Eve: Yeah he really isn't what he appears to be is he. 
Karen: No he sertenly isn't. It's funny the man I thought was the prince turned out to be a toad and the one I thought was a toad turned out to be the prince. 
Eve nods 
Eve: Sometimes it works that way. Are you scared to leave here? I mean knowing someone might want you dead and all? 
Karen considers this 
Karen: Well it sertenly dosn't make me feel good but you know surprisingly I'm not scared. The truth is I haven't been scared for a long time. 
Eve: Wow if it was me I think I'd be pretty freaked out 
Karen: You would think so. But the thing is when I'm with Chris I feel completly and totaly safe. When he's near I feel absolute protection. He makes me feel so secure and I have this total trust that no matter what happens he'll figure out away to fix it. 
Eve: Wow must be nice. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: It's very nice. And you know it explains alot. 
Eve looks confused 
Eve: What do you mean? 
Karen: Well remember how secure and out there Julie was when she was first released. I mean she didn't even lay low for 12 hours. As soon as she was released she was everywhere. And not meakly either she was strong forcful and full of confidence and invincability. I remember she seemed so untutchable as if no one and nothing could deafeat her. As if she couldn't be hurt. 
Eve: Yeah I remember thinking how unusual it was. Julie had always seemed so fragil when she was dating Frank. But nothing anyone said or did seemed to deter her she had such confidence and seemed so in controle of everything. 
Karen: Well I know why now. Eve it was Chris he has this uncanny ability to take all your fear away and make you feel as if you're invinsible. When Joe was tormenting me last summer as upsetting as it was I was never truly scared. I was hurt, angry and frusterated but once Chris was at my side it was as if he had put this invincible sheild around me that no one could break. That's what he did for Julie and that's why she never shrienked back or ran once she was released. She had courage and strength thanks to Chris. And now I have it and believe me not a day goes by that I don't thank God for it. 
Eve nods 
Eve: Wowv I never realized how powerful he is 
Karen: I know you know what else I know. 
Eve: What? 
Karen: The Chris we when are internship began, and all the not so great and really not great stuff he did after was nothing but an act. That's not him at all Eve that is not Chris. I know the real Chris and he's a buetiful man. 
Eve smiles 
Eve: I had a feeling that was the case. You know he did show me glimpses of himself from time to time but it's only been since you that I've seen the real Chris. I agree he's wonderful. 
Karen nods in agreement. Just then Chris comes in pushing a wheel chair with Scott at his heels. 
Chris: Hey there buetiful ready to blow this popsical stand 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Now that you're here. 
Chris and Eve gently help Karen into the wheel chair. 
Scott: How are you feeling? 
Karen: I'm fine really you don't need to worry. 
Scott leans down infront of her. 
Scott: I'm your Dad that's my job. 
He smiles and kisses her on the head Karen can't help but smile 
Chris: So did you check her over? 
Eve nods 
Eve: Yep she's looking good everything is healing nicely. I want her to take the next few days off to rest but that's it. Oh and I arranged it so you can have those same days off 
She smiles at Chris, Chris smiles back appricativly. 
Chris: Thanks 
Karen: So Dad when are you and Eve leaving on your trip? 
Scott: Oh were not going now 
Eve: Oh absolutly not 
Karen: What? No you need to go please. Look I'm fine Garcia has put a round the clock gaurd on me and Chris is here. Please don't cancel your plans on acount of me. 
Scott: I am not leaving you alone 
Chris: Scott she won't be alone. I'm taking her home to my place and I'm not letting her out of my sight till the person who did this is behind bars. 
Scott and Eve look at each other with unsertenty 
Eve: No no we couldn't 
Chris: Okay listen you too life is very short and very unserten, I know I don't have to tell you that Scott. We never know forsure if we are getting a tomarrow untill tomarrow. don't waste time. You are in love that needs to be celebrated and you both need to bask in it now while you can. Take it from someone who knows don't ever take each other for granted or put those romantic plans off cause you may never get to them. You've been planning this trip and you need to go on it. 
Chris places his hand on Karen's shoulder. 
Further more I love Karen with every fiber of my being and I swear on Julie's grave I will not allow anything to happen to her. 
Scott and Eve look at each other 
Scott: Well it is only for a couple days 
Eve: Yeah and we are only a phone call away. 
Scott looks at Karen 
Scott: And you're okay with this? 
Karen: I insist 
Eve: Well okay but we are going to call over at Chris's to check on you alot 
Karen nods 
Chris: Well then now that that's settled lets roll. 
Chris takes charge of Karen's wheel chair and they leave. 
 

Mary arrives home to surprise Victor for lunch with his favorite carry out. 
Mary: Victor Victor I''m home where are you? 
Mary hears a bunch of comotion from upstairs and quickly goes to see what's the matter. She finds Victor in one of the guest rooms. He is covered in yellow paint, a latter is laying on the floor and the room is covered in uneven layers of bright yellow. Mary looks at Victor standing in the middle of this mess with a brush in his hand and a bewildered look on his face and can't help but start laughing 
Mary: Victor Collins what on earth is going on here? 
Victor smiles and blushes bright red. He reaches for a towl to wipe himself off with and ends up stepping in a can of paint and falls down. 
Mary: Victor! 
Mary rushes over to him 
Victor: I'm fine my dear I'm fine please you must not get yourself upset in your condition. 
Mary helps Victor to his feet. Mary puts her hands on her hips 
Mary: Don't tell me what I can and can't do this isn't my first pregnancy you know. Now what on earth is going on 
Victor: Well I thought it was time we started prepairing a nursery and yellow is such a happy and strong color I figured it would be perfect for the room. 
Victor smiles proudly. 
Mary: Well I admire your eagerness to be prepared but 
Victor shakes his head 
Victor: It has nothing to do with being prepared it's about being a good parant. Our child must have the best and if I start working then this nursery will be in tip top shape when our little miracle arrives. 
Mary smiles as Victor heads back for his paint brush 
Mary: You know Victor as long as we give the baby love and do our best by it it dosn't matter what color the room is. 
Victor gets a very seareus look on his face. 
Victor: When Kevin and Ryan were born I didn't think much at all mattered. I figured as long as I kept them fed and dressed and saw to it that they were educated they'd be just fine. 
Victor shakes his head sadly 
Victor: I couldn't have been more wrong and I won't make that mistake twice Mary. This baby is going to have it all and I will dote till I'm blue in the face if I have to. I am not going to let anuther one of my children down. 
Victor starts to cry. Mary gose to him and hugs him tightly 
Mary: Oh Victor it's going to be okay you aren't going to let this child down I just know it. Besides the reason it wasn't near enough is because of Melonie. 
Victor nods 
Victor: But my not being around and neglect didn't help matters 
Mary: No but it didn't cause things to be the way they were either. My sons grew up with an abusive alcoholic as a father and they turned out well. 
Victor nods 
Victor: I here what you are saying my sweet but I just can't take any chances the price is way to high. I need to do this for our baby. 
Mary sighs then smiles shaking her head 
Mary: Well our baby is sure one lucky baby to have such a determend and doting father. 
She kisses him softly. 
Victor smiles 
Victor: And I'm lucky to have you my sweet. 
Mary: But why yellow? 
Victor: I want our childs life to be fluded with joy and happyness. I want light fresh crips colors all around sending postive energy to our little one. And yellow achieves that very thing. 
Mary: But all yellow? 
Victor: Well not exactly I'm going to put up one strip of white wall paper with barn yard animals on it around the right along the middle of the room. You know animals are believed to bring peace and harmony to people. 
Mary smiles and shakes her head. 
Mary: Well I'm sure no other father has put such thought into a nursery 
Victor: Well then I'm on the right track. 
Mary smiles 
Mary: So super Dad can you take a break and have some lunch with me? 
Victor smilles 
Victor: Sertenly my dear 
Mary: Okay I'll go to the kitchen and get something started while you clean up. 
She kisses him lightly and leaves the room. Victor looks around the room 
Victor: Maybe I'll paint the seeling lavinder that's such a springy collor. 

Joe is sitting at a table at Jakes bar drinking and sulking 
Joe: Of all the rotten luck. She has no right to be so damm lucky. I don't get it I just don't get it. I always led a good life but all I get is greif Karen leads a horrid life and everyone is treating her like some kind of saint! How unfair can life get. 
He takes a swig of his bear. 
Joe: Really she strips, uses drugs, dosn't believe in the people who love her, lies, omits the truth and yet she has this great life! I make a few little mistakes and end up with my life in the gutter. It just isn't right 
Joe shakes his head. 
Joe: Maybe I should just bite the bullet and end her myself. Take that gun Dad left me and do it right. Sure I'd be in jail but the world would seem a whole lot more fair with out her in the picture. 
Just then two cops walk over to him. 
Cop: Joe Scanlon 
Joe: Yeah what do you want. 
Cop: I'm officer Nickles, and this is my partner Officer Blake 
Joe takes a swig of his bear 
Joe: Yeah so 
Officer Nickles: We have a worrent for your arrest 
Joe praticly chokes on his bear 
Joe: WHAT! 
Officer Nickles: You're going to need to come with us 
Joe jumps up slaming his chair over 
Joe: LIKE HELL I DO WHAT IS THE F***ING CHARGE ANWAY! 
Officer Nickles and officer Blake look at each other they can tell this is going to be a difficult one. 
Officer Nickles: Mr. Scanlon please calm down. This will go much easier if you stay calm. 
Joe: THEN TELL ME WHAT THE FREAKING CHARGE IS! 
Officer Nickles clears his throat. 
Officer Nickles: You're are being charged with one count of car tampering, one count of assult, one count of rape and one count of attempted murder. 
Joe: AND WHAT THE HELL KIND OF PROOF DO YOU HAVE FOR ANY OF THAT! 
Officer Nickles: Please Mr. Scanlon you need to calm down and come with us 
Joe: LIKE HELL I DO! 
Joe takes a swing at officer Nickles punching him in the jaw. Officer Blake grabs Joe trying to restrain him. Joe slams his elbow into the cops stomach then gets him in a head lock. Officer Nickles pulls out his gun and orders Joe to release officer Blake. Joe starts to charge officer Nickles. Officer Blake jumps ontop of him and restles Joe to the ground. He cuffs him and as Joe continues to kick and curse they read him his rights and drag him out of Jakes. 

Lucy is at a baby store looking at out fits. 
Lucy: look at these clothes! Oh I hope one of these little ones is a girl. Well not that I woudn't love and adore two sons but the girl clothers are just to preshus for words. I wonder why they don't make boy clothes this cute. I mean they look nice but they don't really come close to being as cute as these little girl clothes. I mean it can't be that hard they make wonderful adult man clothes why can't they make great baby boy clothes. I mean I can think of several out fits right now. 
Just then Courtney walks up. 
Courtney: Hi Lucy shopping for baby huh 
Lucy smiles and pats her expanding stomach. 
Lucy: Hi Courtney actually it's more like shopping for babies. I'm having twins 
Courtney's jaw drops 
Courtney: Twins! Oh Lucy that's wonderful congradulations! 
Courtney hugs her excitedly 
Lucy: Thanks I just found out yesturday Doc's a little frazeled about the whole thing but I''m happy 
Courtney: Well you should be that's great news. And you're sertenly in the right place this store is so great for finding baby clothes. Do you know what you're having? 
Lucy: No we decided not to find out. That way it will be more exciting 
Courtney smiles 
Courtney: I agree I didn't find out with Neil and I'm not finding out with this one either 
She pats her stomach 
Courtney: Ofcourse it dose make clothes shopping hard but that's okay 
Lucy: Tell me about it the worst part is they have so few good choices for boys 
Courtney: Oh I know it's like the disigners make sure the girls look great but just stick the boys in what ever. I remember with Neil I got so frusterated I actually tried to disign some clothes for him. 
Lucy: Really? how did they turn out? 
Courtney: Well pretty good I didn't sowe them ofcourse but when they were fineshed the disigns were pretty great I thought. 
Lucy's eyes start dancing as an idea pops into her head 
Lucy: Oh My Gosh! Courtney I just had the most amazing idea! I was just thinking a few minutes ago how I could disign things ten times better then this stuff. Courtney what if the two of us went into business and started disigning baby clothes for boys that are just super stylish. We'd be famous! Just think of all the mothers who would be so happy to have great clothes for their baby boys! 
Courtney's eyes are big as saucers 
Courtney: Lucy that's an incredible idea! I love it! But I'll go you one better lets make it for both boys and girls they'll be the first baby clothing line that will dress both in equally adorable outfits. The baby clothes will be super trendy 
Lucy: But lets also make them affordible so every baby can be dressed great 
Courtney: That's perfect! Come on lets go get some coffie and figure this out 
The two leave excitedly 

Scott and Eve are putting the last bags in the car. 
Eve: Serena is going home with Neil this afternoon right? 
Scott is leaning up against the car with a far away look on his face he dosn't reply 
Eve: Scott? 
Scott jumps 
Scott: What? Oh yeah she's going home with Neil. She's so excited took a whole bunch of stuff with her to school for the weekend. 
Eve walks over to him sencing his concern and walks over to him. She rests her hands gently on his arms. 
Eve: You're worried about Karen aren't you. 
Scott: Ah hell how can I not be Eve. She just got out of the hospital after a scum bag tried to kill her! SHE COULD HAVE DIED EVE! 
Tears fill Scott's eyes. Eve wraps her arms around him and hugs him tight 
Eve: But she didn't Scott she didn't die. She's alive and is dong fine. Chris is with her and he won't let anything happen to her. 
Scott half laughs as he pulls himself together. 
Scott: I'm probubly the only father in the country who is happy his daughter is staying at her boyfriends place this weekend. 
Eve smiles
Eve: Well I think every father wants their child to be safe. Besides with that reward we have out the person who did this isn't going to be free for long. One thing you can count on when Chris sets his mind to something he gets what he wants. 
Scott: I know I just wish I could do something for her. I'm her father I should be able to. 
Eve smiles and shakes her head. 
Eve: Scott Karen is an adult and even if she wasn't there are just something a parant can't fix. But Scott let me tell you just having your love has helped her alot this I know. 
Scott: What do you mean? 
Eve: There was a time when Karen felt that Serena was way way more important to you then she was. There was a time when she had no idea where she stood with you. But Scotty now now she knows she has your love and support and believe me Scott it means the world to her. Did you see those tears in her eyes last night when you were telling her how worried you were about her. Those were tears of joy Scott pure joy. 
Scott: Well ofcourse she is as important to me! 
Eve: But Scotty she only recently realized that. Scott your love means the world to her 
Scott: So how the hell can I be going on a trip now! 
Eve sighs 
Eve: I know I know it feels wrong to me to. I mean I know she's fine and wants us to go. And I know Chris and her want to be alone but leaving with Joe still on the loose and Karen still healing just seems wrong. 
Scott: So why are we going? 
Eve: Well we can't go over to the pent house Karen would feel just awful. 
Scott: So lets stay here. Lets have a romantic weekend right here so we can be close just incase. 
Eve: Works for me 
Scott: You don't mind not going? 
Eve wraps her arms around Scott's neck 
Eve: As long as I'm with you we can be anywhere. 
She kisses him pationetly 
Scott: What do you say we take his inside. 
Eve smiles as Scott pulls her close 
Eve: Works for me 
Scott swoops her up in his arms and carries her inside. 

Kevin is sitting at a table in the Port Charles Grill waiting for Lucy. He glances at his watch again then he sees her come rushing in carrying tuns of packages he gets up to help her with them. 
Kevin: Hi there 
She gives him a quick peck on the cheek as he takes her bags 
Lucy: Hi Doc, oh you wouldn't believe the morning I've had. 
Lucy sits down breathlessly 
Lucy: I was at Baby World looking and buy clothes for our little ones. Oh Doc I am still in shock we're having twins! Can you believe it! Well ofcourse you can you were there when we found out. Well I was to but it's still so hard to believe. I still don't know what to do about those cribs. Anyways there I was looking at clothes Oh doc they were just so cute and tiny. I coudln't believe I was finelly buying for my own children. They had such cute and stylish things. But mostly for girls and that got me thinking about what ashame it is how boy baby's clothes aren't as cute. I just think that is completly unfair. I mean really how those little boy babies must feel when they see the little girl babies all dressed so nicely and they get stuck in some dark colored one peace. You know Doc if we have boys we have to really pay close attention to their self esteem. Well for girls to but I think in some ways it's even more important for boys since in so many ways they have to be the leaders. Well I guess that's kind of silly to say since alot of wemon now days are leading but still. Oh Doc I only want the best for our babies. Anyways I was thinking how I could disign some stuff for our babies when Courtney came up. You know she's going to have her baby around the same time we have ours. Oh Doc just think they can be playmates. I think childhood friends are the most important of all. You know we learn so much from our child hood friends. You know she agrees about the baby boy clothes. Infact she used to disign Neil's. I wouldn't have pegged Courtney as a disigner, a model or make up artest maybe a hair dresser but not a disigner. But anyway we had this great idea. The two of us are going to go into business together! Oh Doc it's going to be great we are going to disign baby clothes and they are going to be super cute and stylish for either a boy or a girl and very affordible we're hoping to have them out by this spring. I'm so excited. Oh Doc there is so much I have to do! 
Lucy suddenly notices that Kevin isn't listening. He is sitting there with a somewhat tormented look on his face. Lucy gets worried and reaches out for his hand. She takes it in hers 
Lucy: Uh oh Dioc I don't like that look one bit what's wrong? 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: I'm sorry Lucy it's been a rough morning 
Lucy: Why what happend. 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: Karen was in a car reck last night 
Lucy gasps 
Lucy: Oh My God is she alright! 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: Yeah she was just banged up a bit she was released this morning 
Lucy: Oh well that's great 
Kevin: Yeah except it was no accident. 
Lucy: What?! 
Kevin sighs and rubs his head. 
Kevin: Joe tampered with the breaks and stearing colume he wanted to kill her 
Lucy: Oh My God this is just unbelieveable I new that man had some probublems but I never thought he'd stoop this low. 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: I don't think anyone did except Jill maybe 
Lucy: Jill? 
Lucy: His girlfriend she confided in me that Joe has been beating her and raped her last night. I convinced her to go to the cops she told them everything including how Joe tried to kill Karen 
Lucy: I I don't know what to say. I mean that's great you got her to tell but 
Kevin: but it's still hard to believe. 
Lucy nods 
Lucy: I thought I new him 
Kevin: I guess we didn't. 
Lucy: What's going on now? 
Kevin: Well Joe has hopefully been arrested and Jill is at a battered wemons shelter. I just wish I could have done more. 
Lucy looks at him sympatheticly 
Lucy: Oh Doc I'm sure you did all you could you always do. Besides you got her to tell everything now Karen and Jill are both safe that seems like alot to me.
Kevin: I supose 
Lucy: Well what more could you have done? Realy Doc you did all you could 
Kevin: I could have seen how bad off Joe was and gotten involved. 
Lucy: But no one saw it Doc 
Kevin: But I'm a doctor I should have. 
Lucy: But Kevin Joe has always had a hot head there is no way you could have 
Kevin: Lucy there is a big difference beteen being a hot head and being a phyco. 
Lucy sighs 
Lucy: Kevin you can't be responsible for the world. You can't help everyone 
Kevin: He's not anyone he's my step brother. 
Lucy: Well maybe you can help him now Speaking of steps dose Mary know 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: I have no idea but I'm going to go by later and check on her 
Lucy nods 
Lucy: Okay I'll come to 
Kevin: Lucy 
Lucy: No doc she's my family to we're a team remember. 
Kevin looks at Lucy lovingly and shakes his head 

Chris and Karen are sitting on his couch talking Karen: Thanks for the soup it was really good 
Chris smiles 
Chris: I'm glad you liked it. I'll make you something even better for dinner if you'd like 
Karen smiles 
Karen: I'm sure what ever you make will be fine. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: How are you feeling 
Karen: Still a little sore but okay. 
Chris: Would you like a shoulder rub? 
Karen: Sure that sounds nice. 
She turns so Chris can rub her shoulders. As he dose this Karen's sighs contently 
Karen: Oh that feels good. I never new you were so gifted at this. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: Well not to toot my own horn but I am the mast her. 
Karen laughs 
Karen: Ahh it's good to know somethings don't change. 
Chris laughs 
Chris: What don't you like my massege teckneek. 
Chris leans over and places a kiss on her neck 
Karen: Mmm now that has possibilities. 
Chris slowly moves his lips down Karen's neck and onto her shoulders. Karen turns to him and taking his face in her hands kisses him passionetly. Chris gives her and eually passion filled kiss as he pulls her in close to him. Karen begins kissing his neck as her hands find there way to his shirt buttens. Suddenly Chris pulls back a little 
Chris: Karen waite 
Karen looks at Chris with surprise 
Karen: What's wrong Chris are you not ready? 
Chris smiles 
Chris: No Karen I am more then ready and I do love you and want to make love to you very much. It's just that you just got out of the hospital and I don't want to hurt you or rush you when you're not ready. 
Karen smiles at Chris lovingly 
Karen: Chris I'm fine really. You won't hurt me and as for rushing well you're not. I am very ready Chris. I love you and I want to share myself with you. Please Chris make love to me. 
Karen kisses him passionately 
Chris: Well in that case. 
Chris stands up and lifts her gently into his arms. Then carry's her into his room and lays her across his bead. Karen and Chris plant hot passionate kisses all over one anuthers body's as they underess each other. Sure to kiss every spot as it becomes available. They coress each others bodies and look deaply into one anuthers eyes as their passion erupts. They cling to one anuther slowly stroking and holding on to each other as if their very lives depend on it. Their kisses grow more and more intence as the fire of their passion rises and they become one no longer able to tell where one ends and the other begins. 

Courtney comes into the house with bags and bags of clothes. 
Courtney: Frank I'm home! Frank are you here? 
Courtney puts her bags down and goes to the kitchen to get herself something to drink. When she enters the kitchen she finds Frank sitting there stiaring into space with tears in his eyes. Courtney is imeadeitly concerned. She gose over to him and sits down beside him 
Courtney: Frank what's wrong? 
Frank sighs and takes Courtney's hand in his. 
Frank: Never change on my Courtney okay. I don't think I could take any more surprises at this point. 
He looks down at the floor still holding Courtney's hand tightly. Courtney looks at him worriedly and strokes his face with her free hand. 
Courtney: Frank what is it what's happend look at me. 
Frank looks at Courtney with tears running down his cheecks. 
Frank: I was watching TV with Emilo over at the recovery room. They broke into programing with this breaking story. Chris was on TV offering a reward for anyone with information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of the person who tried to kill Karen 
Courtney looks confused 
Courtney: What? Why would he do that it was an accident right? 
Frank shakes his head sorrowfully and sighs 
Frank: No it wasn't, apparently her steering colume and her breaks were tamperd with. 
Courtney: Oh My God that's awful! Poor Karen she must be so scared. But you know Frank I'm sure they'll find the person It can't be that hard and I bet Chris won't give up. 
Frank: Oh they all ready did I just heard a bulletin on the radio. They've made an arrest aparently someone new exactly who it was. 
Courtney: Well that's great isn't it? 
Courtney looks at Franks tormented face and suddenly it sinks in 
Courtney: Oh God No 
Frank: It was Joe 
Frank starts laughing and cryiing at the same time 
Frank: Joe! MY BROTHER JOE 
Frank stands up knocking his chair over. 
Frank: THE BROTHER I'VE KNOWN AND CARED FOR ALL MY LIFE! THE BROTHER I HAVE MADE HUGE SACROFICES FOR!! MY GOD COURTNEY MY OWN BROTHER IS A SERTIFIABLE KILLER!! 
Frank starts crying. Courtney gose to him and wraps her arms around him and holds him close. 
Courtney: Oh Frank I'm so sorry I know how much you love your brother. Maybe the person is wrong? 
Frank sighs and shakes his head 
Frank: No Joe did it just like Joe has done 101 other things to Karen. I don't know maybe it's my fault maybe I helped him to much maybe If I'd let him struggle a little more he'd be a better person 
Courtney: Frank no don't you dare blame yourself this is not your fault Joe is a grown man he made his choices. As for what you've done for him all you did was try and help him he's the one who has thrown his life in the gutter. 
Frank: I just wish I could figure out when he changed when did my sweet kind little brother turn into this monsterus man who I don't even recognize. How did I miss it Courtney how did I not see what was going on with him. Am I destend to not be able to help those I love! I COULDN'T HELP JULIE NOW I CAN'T HELP JOE IS THAT IT!! 
Frank starts crying and starts to leave the room but Courtney grabs his arm. 
Courtney: Now you listen to me Frank Scanlon I have heard enough you are a wonderful man and have helped alot of people. It is not your fault that some people you just can't help. Julie needed more then you could give her and Joe well Joe wouldn't let you help him in the end anyways. I will not stand here and let you beat yourself up over this! 
Frank: I just don't get it Courtney I just don't get it. 
Courtney sighs and hugs Frank tightly 
Courtney: Me neither me neither. 

Chris and Karen are laying in each others arms snugled up under the covers backing in the after glow of love. Chris gently brushes a strand of hair out of Karen's face. Karen smiles up at him. 
Chris: Thankyou 
Karen looks at him strangly 
Karen: For what? 
Chris gets a very searues look in his eyes and he looks into Karen's with such intensity she almost melts. 
Chris: For helping me see that for every loss there is a gain, for making me want to live and love again, and for teaching me that hearts can mend. Karen you have given me a new lease on life and on love. I will never forget that and I will charish you and what you've shown me always. The lessons of love and friendship you have taught me I will carry with me always, and the gift of your love is the sweetest debt I'll ever have to pay. 
Karen looks at Chris with tears in her eyes. 
Karen: Chris that is the sweetest most romantic thing I've ever heard. But you know you've given me alot to. I love you so much I can't even express it. I truly could never love you enough. You have shown me so much and given me so much 
Chris half laughs 
Chris: Karen what have I shown you? 
Karen: You've shown me to never take things at face value. To always look deaper then what something or someone appears to be. You've shown me that with friends nothing and no one is unbeatable. As for what you've given me how about true love, a wonderful friend, a loyal protector and all around gardian angel. On top of that you have given me strangth and curage that I didn't know I had 
Chris smiles 
Chris: Karen you have always been strong and have always had curage. You just didn't know it. 
Karen: Well thanks to you now I do. Chris I feel completly safe when I'm with you. I feel as if no harm can come to me and like there is nothing I can't do. 
Chris holds her tightly 
Chris: Well that's because I will never let any harm come to you and because you can do anything. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: With you by my side I know I can. 
They kiss. Just then the phone rings. Karen groans as Chris reaches for it. 
Chris: Hello? 
Garcia: Dr. Ramsey this is Detective Garcia 
Chris sits streight up 
Chris: Detective Garcia do you have any leads on who tried to kill Karen? 
Garcia: Even better, we got concreate evidence from a very reliable source and managed to arrest the monster not to long ago. 
Chris: What that's fantastic! Wow you guys really came through for us. Thankyou so much now lets just hope Dara can put this one away. So who was the scum? 
Garcia sighs 
Garcia: Your hunch was right it was Joe. He's locked up now though so he can't hurt anyone else. 
Chris: Thank God for that. 
Garcia: I need to go I'll be in contact with you later. 
Chris: Okay thankyou detective 
They hang up 
Karen: It was Joe wasn't it, he wanted me dead didn't he 
Karen starts to cry. Chris pulls her in close. 
Chris: Ssshhh Karen it's okay it's okay now he can never hurt you again. I'm here Karen I'm here. 
Karen looks up at Chris through tear filled eyes. 
Karen: Chris how could Joe be so good for so long and suddenly go bad. Was he always bad was it all an act? 
Chris: No no I don't think so 
Karen: Then how do you explain it. How could he be so wonderful one minute and so bad the next 
Chris: Because Karen none of us are one dementional. None of us are just good or just bad. It's all about choices. We all have the ability to choose to be good or choose to be bad. Joe has chosen to be bad why I don't know but that was his choice just as I chose to turn over a new leaf so did he. Only his was not for the better. 
Karen sighs 
Karen: That makes sence. It's just so hard to except. 
Chris nods and strokes her face lovingly 
Chris: I know I know. What can I do Karen how can I make this better for you. 
Karen: Just hold me. 
Chris pulls her in close and holds her to his chest as he rubs her back 
Chris: Always I will always hold you. You are my heart Karen and that's where I'll hold you for always.

It has been two months since Joe was arrested. He was found to be mentaly insaine and sentinced to Ferrncliff for an undetermend amount of time. Mary and Frank have both had a difficult time excepting what Joe has become but are making progress. It is now December 31 a day before Kevin and Lucy's wedding.

Mary and Victor are sitting in Doctor Medows office for an exam and ultrasound. There baby is due in six weeks and they are very excited and nurves. 
Victor: How do you feel my sweet? Do you need a shoulder rub? Do you need me to get you anything special to eat? Are your ankles feeling better? Here let me rub them 
Victor starts to lift Mary's feet off the floor. Mary tutches his arm 
Mary: Victor really I'm fine. Please try not to worry I'm not the first woman to ever have a child you know. 
Victor sighs 
Victor: Mary my dear I just want to make sure everything is okay. You've been working through your whole pregnancy and this fall with Joe well it sertenly hasn't made your life stress free. I just don't want anything to happen to you, or are little miricle 
Mary squezes his hand 
Mary: And It won't. Now I'm not going to lie to you my back hurts, my ankles look like water mellon's and it's not exactly fun running to the bathroom every five minutes or so. But Victor trust me the baby and I are fine. I am feeling no worse then I did with either of my other pregnancy's. As for the stress 
Mary sighs and wipes a tear from her face. 
Mary: It hurts alot to know the kind of man Joe is but I have never let one worry of mine endanger or harm anyone and I'm sertenly not going to start now. Espeically with such a miricle on the way 
Mary rubs her stomach and smiles. 
Mary: Besides this is not the time to be sad. Tomarrow Kevin and Lucy are finelly gettimg married. Victor this is a joyus time. They need us to be there for them not worrying about everything else. 
Victor nods 
Victor: I still can't believe it's finelly here. It seems like I've been waiting forver to welcome that fine young woman into my family and waiting to see my son 
Mary: Our son 
Victor smiles and squezes her hand 
Victor: To see our son marry the woman he truly belongs with. 
Mary smiles 
Mary: Prayers are anwsered and I think Kevin and Lucy's have finelly come true. 
Victor nods Just then doctor medows comes in 
Dr Medows: Well hello there so how are you both doing? 
Mary: Well baby and I are fine Victor however could probubly use some seditives 
They laugh 
Victor: I beg your pardon I'm perfectly calm I simply want to make sure the love of my life and my preshus baby are okay 
Victor leans over and kisses Mary 
Dr. Medows smiles 
Dr. Medows: Well I see things are going along as they always do for the two of you. Okay lets get to this exam I know you have alot to do with the big wedding beng tomarrow. 
Mary: Oh yes everyone is so happy for them 
Victor: It's going to be the wedding of the century 
Dr. Medows smiles 
Dr. Medows: I'm sure it will. 
Soon they are in the exam room. Dr. Medows has begun the ultra sound and Mary and Victor are stairing excitedly at the screen. 
Mary: Oh Victor look it's sucking it's thumb 
Victor has tears in his eyes 
Victor: It's perfect just like it's mother. 
Mary smiles and they kiss. 
Victor: Oh look at it's long legs! 
Mary: So that's what's been kicking me 
They both laugh. 
Dr. Medows smiles 
Dr. Medows: Well everything looks great would you like to know the sex of your baby? 
Mary and Victor look at each other 
Mary: Oh Victor I don't think so. I love the thrill of finding out at the moment of birth 
Victor: I agree how many surprises do you get in life that are that good. I want to waite. 
Dr. Medows nods and fineshes up the sonogram. Mary and baby get a clean bill of health. Victor and Mary leave happily. 

Frank and Courtney are sitting on the coutch watching happily as Neil plays one of his new video games he got for Christmas and Christina plays with some buble wrap from a package. Courtney sighs and smiles happily as she pats her stomach. 
Courtney: Is this the perfect family scene or what. I mean this could be right out of a halmark movie. The kids playing us happy and as inlove as ever, and our new little miracle only a couple months away. 
Frank smiles lovingly at Courtney and kisses her tenderly 
Frank: I couldn't agree more. This past year sertenly has been wonderful. Neil is well, we are together, we have a buetiful home and all the money we could ever need and to top it off we will soon be welcoming a new little one 
He kisses her stomach. 
Courtney: Everything really is perfect isn't it. 
Frank nods. 
Frank: You sure your not upset about are quickly vagus wedding? 
Courtney smiles and gently strokes his face. 
Courtney: Frank as good as this year may have been for us there have been some very bad spots. Your brother went crazy and nearly killed people. I couldn't expect you to be willing to sit down and plan a wedding with me with that whole mess going on. I mean come on when would we have planned it? During that God awful trial when the press was roming around your Mom's and our place? Or right after when Joe was calling us at all hours telling us we were going to pay for not helping him? 
Frank: Well I promis you we will have a magical wedding one day. 
Courtney smiles and nods 
Courtney: I know but it was important to us to be married by the time this baby is born, and with all this garbage there was no other way to do it right now. Your Mom was in no mood or condition I might add to deal with our wedding and I think it would have been inconsiderate of us to been planning a wedding right now. Just imagen how mad Joe would have been if we had been. 
Frank sighs 
Frank: I just hate the fact that he has been controling our lives for the past couple months. 
Courtney takes Franks hand 
Courtney: But he isn't now so don't let it eat at you. Joe is locked up in Ferncliff and is going to be there for a very long time. And we will have our wedding Frank we will but you know I must say I think the Vagus wedding did have a charm all it's own to it. 
Frank sighs and shakes his head sadly 
Frank: I never thought I'd be relieved to have my brother locked up, but after everything that happend how can I not. 
Courtney: I know sweet heart I know. It stinks when the people you love let you down. But he really is better off being there. 
Frank nods 
Frank: Yeah and he's getting the help he needs and everyone is much safer. 
Courtney nods. 
Courtney: Speaking of weddings do we need to take Christina over to Lucy's tonight or in the morning? 
Frank: In the morning. Lucy and Kevin are having the evening to themselves tonight. Which is good considering the twins are due in a couple months. 
Courtney nods 
Courtney: True after they are born Kevin and Lucy won't have much time for anything. 
Frank nods 
Frank: Lucy sent her flower girl dress with her so we'll just dress her in the morning and take her over 
Courtney nods 
Frank: Speaking of babies how do you feel? 
Courtney smiles lovingly at him 
Courtney: I'm fine my back is a little sore and my ankles look like water melons but I feel great. I am so excited about our baby Frank. After last time well 
Courtney gets a sad and distant look on her face Frank squezes her hand and takes her chin in his hand. 
Frank:Hey no more negitive thoughts remember. Our baby is going to be just fine no ifs ands or buts. 
Courtney smiles 
Courtney: I love you 
Frank: I love you to. 
They kiss. 
Courtney: Speaking of babies we really have to decide on a name. 
Frank nods 
Frank: Well I think after everything we have been through and those around us have been through I have the perfect girl name 
Courtney smiles 
Courtney: what? 
Frank: Hope 
Courtney: Hope? 
Frank: Think about it we had to have Hope Neil would get better and he did, we had to have hope that our relationship would survive and it did, we had to have Hope this pregnancy would be succsesful and it was 
Courtney smiles 
Courtney: I love it. But if it's a boy there is only one name I'll consider. 
Frank laughs 
Frank: And what is that? 
Courtney: Frankie the third. 
Frank groans 
Courtney: Oh come on Frank you deserve to have your son named after you 
Frank: Yeah and he deserves his own Identity. I don't want him feeling like he has to fallow in my footsteps or has to be just like me. I don't want him feeling like he's just an exstention of me. Courtney I've lived my whole life as a Jr. and it's not a good thing. 
Courtney: Frank I don't think anyone thinks of you as a Jr. 
Frank: Because my Dad is dead I don't want my son to have to waite till I'm dead to feel like he can be his own man. Courtney I love you more then anything you know that but no child of mine will face what I faced. 
Courtney looks at him with tears in her eyes 
Courtney: I never realized how hard it was on you 
Frank sighs 
Frank: It's just not the life I want for our kid 
Courtney nods 
Courtney: Well If you feel that strongly about it then alright. What name would you like for our son? 
Frank thinks for a minute 
Frank: How about Alex 
Courtney smiles 
Courtney: Alex Scanlon that sounds nice very strong I like it 
Frank: Alex it is then 
Courtney: Or Hope 
Frank smiles 
Frank: Oh how I'd love anuther girl to love. 
They kiss. 
Frank: So what's going on with that baby clothing line you and Lucy started? Is our little one coming home it one your creations 
Courtney smiles 
Courtney: Well ours will that's for sure. The line will however take a little longer. We are hoping to have the Equality Baby Clothes line in stores by this spring. 
Frank smiles 
Frank: That will be great. But remind me why you're calling it equality baby clothes? 
Courtney: Because wether it's for a boy or girl rich or poor it's cute as can be and right up to date with fashion. 
Courtney smiles 
Frank smiles and shakes his head. 
Frank: Well it sounds great. 
They kiss. 
Neil turns around and sees them kissing and groans 
Neil: Are you guys ever going to cut out the mush 
Frank looks at Courtney then back at Neil with a very seareus look on his face. 
Frank: No we're not 
Courtney gigles and Neil rolls his eyes and turns back to his game. 

Chris and Karen are taking down the christmas tree in hs apartment. 
Chris: So is this really how you want to spend New Years Eve day? We could be ice skating, taking a long romantic drive, going out on the town, any number of things. But you are choosing to stay here and just have a quite dinner with me? 
Karen laughs 
Karen: What Ramsey you alergic do your own apartment 
Chris smiles 
Chris: No I just thought you'd want to go out tonight or something. I mean new years eve is tonight don't most couples go out. 
Karen nods 
Karen: Well some do. I just well I mean I imagen this is a very hard time for you I mean it's your first 
Chris catches on and shakes his head and smiles. He moves over and takes her hands in his 
Chris: When are you going to stop coddiling me. 
Karen: When I no longer see sadness in those eyes I love. 
Chris sighs 
Chris: Karen I think a part of me will always be sad. I mean Julie was everything to me you don't loose that kind of love and just forget about it. But as you have told me on more then one occasion I can't live in the past. I'm here with you now my life and my heart is with you now and that's where I want to be not wallowing in the past. 
Karen: I just know you and Julie really never had a New Years. 
Chris nods 
Chris: True but that dosn't mean we can't. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: I just want you to be happy and I never want you to think I don't care about your feelings 
Chris gently strokes Karen's face 
Chris: Karen just being near you makes me happy and it wouldn't be you if you didn't care about my feelings. Karen you are the most caring and loving person I've ever met. If you stopped caring I'd think there was something terribly wrong with you. Karen you are the one who was so worried about Joe's feelings during Christmas this year due to the fact that he's locked up you sent him a card and a care package. Come on Karen the man practicly killed you and you still cared enough to wish him a happy holiday. So ofcourse I know you care about my feelings, and I care about you. And as your boyfriend I insist on taking you out for New Years. 
Karen playfully groans 
Karen: Oh the burden 
They both crack up. 
Karen: But Chris really what are we going to do it's to late to get in anywhere. 
Chris smiles devilishly 
Chris: You just leave everything to me 
He kisses her softly 
Chris: Now I want you to go home and change into your favorite dressy out fit and I'll pick you up at seven deal 
Karen smiles 
Karen: deal 
They kiss softly and Karen leaves Chris smiles and shakes his head then looks at the sealing 
Chris: God if I didn't know better I'd swear you sent an Angel in Karen to mend my heart. 
He gose to the phone and starts making calls 

Lucy is standing in her bedroom looking at herself in the mirror. She turns from side to side with a less then pleased look on her face. Kevin comes in the room. 
Kevin: So how is the future Mrs. Kevin Collins doing 
He gives her a quick peck on the cheeck. Lucy sighs 
Lucy: Kevin look at me I am the size of the good year blimp! I'm going to look like Shamoo tomarrow in that white dress! 
Lucy starts crying. Kevin comes over and takes Lucy in his arms gently. He smiles at her lovingly 
Kevin: Lucy you are the most buetiful woman I have ever seen and the fact that you are carrying our children just makes you all the more sexy in my eyes. You are not fat you're carrying two heavenly miricals that we've hoped and prayed for for a very long time. And tomarrow I will be the happiest man on earth getting to call you my wife. You will be a vision of love, joy, and grace tomarrow. Our children are going to be the luckiest kids alive to have you as their mother and I am the most blest man to have you as my wife. 
Lucy looks at Kevin with tears in her eyes and smiles at him she shakes her head and strokes his face 
Lucy: I don't know what I ever did to deserve an angel like you but I'm sure glad I did it. 
Kevin smiles and shakes his head 
Kevin: No I'm the lucky one if it wasn't for you I'd be living right along side my step brother in Ferncliff. You are a true mirical in my life Lucy and every day I get to spend with you is a blessing. 
Lucy: Oh Doc I have never been so happy as I am when you hold me close like this. You make the world a paradise you know that. 
Kevin: It's all for you. 
They kiss tenderly, just then the door bell rings. Lucy groans 
Kevin: Well someone has lousy timing. 
Kevin and Lucy go to see who is at the door. They find a very happy Mary and Victor standing there. 
Mary: Surprise 
Victor: Surprise 
Kevin and Lucy smile 
Kevin: Hello Mom Dad please come in 
They come in happily 
Mary: I hope we are not interupting anything 
Victor: We just wanted to see how the future Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Collins were doing 
Mary: And show you this 
Mary excitedly pulls out a sonigram picture. 
Mary: Are baby's first picture. 
Victor and Mary beems prouldy 
Kevin and Lucy look at the picture. 
Lucy: Oh it's so cute have you found out wether it's a boy or a girl? 
Mary: No Victor and I want to be surprised. 
Lucy: Oh I know what you mean that really is the best way 
Kevin: Well the baby looks wonderful. So you kids ready for all this 
They all laugh 
Mary: Well we may be a little rusty at first but I think it will come back to us 
Victor: I'm actually hoping it dosn't I want to start from scratch and do a great job. 
Kevin smiles understandingly 
Kevin: I'm sure you'll do a wonderful job 
Mary: So are the two of you ready for the big day? 
Lucy: Oh Mary I've been ready to marry my Doc for my whole life it seems. 
Kevin puts his arm around Lucy 
Kevin: The feeling is mutual. I feel like I started breathing on the night we met. 
Lucy nods in agreement and they kiss gently. 
Mary and Victor look at each other then Mary clears her throat 
Mary: Kevin could I please have a word with you
Kevin and Lucy look at each other 
Kevin: sure 
Lucy: Uh Victor why don't you help me make some tea in the kitchen 
Victor: Oh ofcourse. 
Victor and Lucy head off Kevin looks at Mary with concern 
Kevin: Is everything alright? Joe hasn't been making more herassing phone calls has he? You are feeling alright aren't you? 
Mary smiles 
Mary: Oh I'm fine I feel great. I mean normal pregnancy discomfort ofcourse but nothing more. As for Joe 
Mary sighs 
Mary: I'm not sure wether I should be happy or sad about this but I haven't heard from him in weeks. 
Kevin nods sympatheticly 
Kevin: Well all things considered it's probubly for the best. He is a very sick man and needs to be consintrating on getting better. 
Mary nods in sad agreement. 
Kevin: So what did you want to talk to me about? 
Mary smiles 
Mary: Well you know I love you as my own. You are as much mine as Frank, Joe and this new baby are. So since tomarrow is your wedding day I wanted to give you a mothers advice. 
Kevin smiles with a tear in his eye very tutched by this. 
Kevin: Okay you want to sit down/ 
Kevin helps Mary to the coutch. 
Mary: Kevin I''m going to give you the same advice my parants gave me when I married Frank and Joe's father. There are three secrets to a lasting marriage never go to bed angry, never let a day pass with out saying I love you, and what ever you do never take the other person for granted. 
Kevin smiles 
Kevin: Thanks Mom I promis I won't. Lucy is everythng to me and I'm not going to let her get away 
Mary: well I'm glad. Now I also have something for you. 
Mary reaches in her purse and pulls out a rosery. 
Mary: Now before you say anything just hear me out. I have been through many difficult and hard times. I have been through sometimes that were so dark and scary that I wasn't all together sure I'd get out. But the one thing that kept me going was my faith. Kevin I know that you have had some very dark times and I know that you carry alot inside. I realize that Lucy is your light and that she dose seem to have a way of reaching you but if she should ever not be able to. 
Mary takes Kevin's hand in hers and preses the reosery into it. 
Mary: I want you to cling to this. I don't want you to be alone and if you carry this with you then you won't be. It dosn't matter what you do or don't believe God loves you and I love you. This has gotten me through alot and I'll be comforted to know that if you should ever need a little more then Lucy can give it will be there for you. I love you Kevin. 
Kevin has tears in his eyes as he looks from the Rosery back to Mary. 
Kevin: I promis I'll always carry it. I love you to Mom. 
They embrace. 
Back in the kitchen Victor and Lucy are fineshing up the tea. 
Lucy: Okay then I think this is about done lets go back in 
Victor gently stops Lucy 
Victor: Lucy waite, there is something I want to talk to you about 
Lucy: Oh alright 
Victor and Lucy sit at the kitchen table. 
Victor: Lucy tomarrow when you marry Kevin it will be one of the happiest days of my life. 
Lucy: Because you know Kevin is happy 
Victor smiles 
Victor: Well that sertenly is part of it. Monk deserves happyness and you have made him very happy. You are with out a doubt the best thing that has ever, or could ever happen to him. He is blessed to have you 
Lucy blushes 
Lucy: Well I think I'm pretty fortchunite to have him to. 
Victor: Well It sertenly dose my heart good to see you both so happy and inlove. I never stopped hoping and praying that the two of you would find your way back to one anuther as you now have. But that isn't the only reason tomarrow is such a gloruesly happy day for me. You see Lucy tomarrow I get to welcome one of the most incredible wemon to ever grace this earth into my family. Lucy you are like a daughter to me. I love you and am proud of you like a father is of his daughter. You are everything a father could hope for and more. 
Lucy has tears in her eyes and wipes her face 
Lucy: I love you to Victor. 
Victor: Lucy I want you to know that you can always think of me as your father and if you ever need or want anything you can come to me I will never turn my back on you no matter what. 
Lucy is very choked up by this 
Victor reaches into his pocked and pulls out a little velvit box he hands it to Lucy 
Victor: Open it 
Lucy opens it and gasps she lifts out a perfect pearl neckless 
Lucy: Oh Victor it's gorgus! 
Victor: It belonged to my mother. She was an amazing woman so it seems only right that I give it to anuther amazing woman. Especially one who I consider to be my daughter. Let me put it on you 
Victor stands and puts the neckless on Lucy 
Victor: Her mother gave it to her on heer wedding day. Since I was the oldest and there was no girls I inharited it so now I want to give it to you my girl. 
He gives her a peck on the cheeck. Lucy is balling 
Lucy: Oh Victor thankyou so much I love you to and I promis to pass this one to one of my girls when they get married. 
The two hug 

Eve and Scott are taking down some of the christmas decerations at the fire house. 
Eve: You know I think this is the earliest I've every seen you take down decorations. 
Scott: Yeah well I figured with our wedding coming up things would be getting really buzy and knowing us these decorations would still be up next year if we didn't take them down now. 
Eve laughs 
Eve: Very true. 
Eve moves over and wraps her arms around Scott's neck 
Eve: But you know Mr. Baldwin the holiday's aren't quite over yet. 
She kisses hims tenderly. He holds her close smiling. 
Scott: Ah yes New Years eve. 
Eve: A time to new beginings. 
Scott: Well I'm sertenly looking forward to the begining of my life with you come Febuary. 
Eve smiles 
Eve: Me either. 
Scott: So what do you want to do tonight? 
Eve thinks and gets a smile on her face 
Eve: Snuggle up on the couch with you and a bowl of popcorn. 
Scott: Dosn't sound very exciting 
Eve: Well what can I say I'm feeling symbolic right now. You know New Years Eve has alot of meaning for us. 
Scott thinks back to his first New Years back in Port Charles and smiles 
Scott: Why is it as awful as those times were when I think of them now I mostly think of your presence and how wonderful it was to have you around. 
Eve smiles 
Eve: Oh I don't know but you made my life much better to you know. 
Scott scoffs 
Eve: No I'm seareus. You were the first person to ever really trust me Scott. And when Devlin came after me you did all you could to protect and help me. Scott we may have had our problems but you have never stopped being the sweetest new years eve gift I could hope for. 
Scott smiles 
Scott: Well you're looking pretty sweet yourself. 
Scott pulls her close and kisses her tenderly 
Eve: So how long do we have before Serena gets home? 
Scott: She's sleeping over and Lee and Gails tonight. They'll drop her off before the wedding at the light house. 
Eve smiles 
Eve: So we have the house to ourselves do we. 
Scott smiles 
Scott: Oh yeah. 
They kiss again 
Scott: So you want me to build a fire. 
Eve smiles devilishly 
Eve: Oh I think I can start one right here. 
She pulls him close and kisses him pationetly. Scott scoops her up in his arms and carry's her upstairs. He lays her across the bed and starts planting fire hot kisses everywhere as they tear off one anuthers clothes. Their hands full of passion run over one anuthers body's as they entangle so deeply they can't tell where one begins and the other ends. They coress each other and melt into one anuther full of love and destiny. 

Jill is in the kitchen making some dinner. Her hands are shaking and her heart is pounding. 
Jill: Why on earth am I doing this to myself. I should never have said yes to this! 
Just then the door bell rings. Jill jumps causing her to splater some sauce on the wall. She groans 
Jill: Oh great just great this evening is a disater all ready. 
Jill shakes her head and hurry's to the door. 
Jill: Coming! 
She reaches the door and tries to collect herself then taking a deep breath opens the door. There on the other side stands a nicly dressed and smiling Ian 
Ian: Hello there. 
Jill smiles nurvesly 
Jill: Hi 
Ian: These are for you 
Ian hands her a buetiful boque of flowers. 
Jill takes them somewhat hesitantly 
Jill: Oh Ian thankyou you shouldn't have. 
Ian: Nonsence every lovely lady deserves to get flowers. 
Jill blushes 
Ian: I hope you like them. I wasn't sure what your favorite kind was but those mums were looking might pretty so I thought I'd get you some. 
Jill smilles 
Jill: There perfect 
Ian: You going to invite me in? 
Jill: Oh I'm sorry I don't know what I was thinking ofcourse come right in. Here let me help you off with your coat. 
Jill puts Ian's coat in the closet. 
Ian: Well something sertenly smells scrumpshus. 
Jill: Ian I'm sorry didn't isn't quite ready. I was hoping to have it ready and I really tried honest. But well I got delayed and it just didn't come out. But it will be ready soon I promis would you like a snack? 
Ian sees Jill's hands shaking. He smiles at her softly 
Ian: That's fine anything good you know is worth waiting for and I'm sure it will be great no rush. I'm happy just to spend time with you. 
Jill smiles a bit relieved. 
Jill: Oh okay well make yourself comfortable can I get you something? 
Ian: I'm a little thirsty 
Jill: Would you like some Irish Whisky? 
Ian shakes his head 
Ian: No I never drink infront of a lady I'm corting, at least not on our first date. 
Jill smiles 
Ian: How about some root bear. 
Jill: Coming up 
Jill goes to the kitchen and gets on out of the fridge her hands are still shaking 
Jill: Come on Jill get it together he isn't Joe he is a good man. 
She snorts 
Jill: Like you would know. 
She brings Ian his root bear but is so nurves she trips spilling it. 
Jill: Oh Ian I'm so sorry! 
Jill starts franticly wiping Ian's shirt off. Ian tries to take her hand but she leaps back. 
Ian sighs 
Ian: Jill please listen to me okay 
He holds his hand out Jill hseitently lets him take her hand in his. 
Ian moves close 
Ian: I am not Joe. I do not hit wemon and I dispize people who do. Any man that would isn't a man he's a monster and I'm no monster. You are safe with me Jill you don't have to be afriad. Please give me a chance to show you you can trust. 
Jill looks at the compasion in Ian's eyes and starts to cry 
Jill: I just wish I wasn't always scared. 
Ian gently wraps a trembiling Jill in his arms 
Ian: I wish you weren't either but I understand why you are. All I'm asking for here is a chance Jill.
Jill looks up at him 
Jill: I want to give you that chance I do but. . . 
Ian: You need time I understand. Just know you are safe with me that's all I ask. 
Jill looks up at him and smiles through her tears. 
Jill: I think I'm starting to get that. 
Ian smiles 
Ian: Okay I'm going to go in the bath room and clean up. 
Jill: Great I'll finesh up dinner. 
Ian nods and leaves the room Jill looks up to the ceeling 
Jill: Please don't let me be wrong again. 

Karen is humming to herself as she gets ready for her evening with Chris. The door bell rings and she happily goes to open it. She finds a smiling Chris standing there all dressed in a tux. 
Karen: Wow I didn't realize tonight for a formule event. 
Chris: Well it never hurts to look your best. These are for you 
He hands Karen adozen long stem red roses as he enters her place. 
Karen breaths in the smell and sighs 
Karen: Oh Chris they are buetiful. 
Chris pulls her close 
Chris: Well they pale in comparison to you. 
He kisses her softly 
Karen: Sweet talker 
She kisses him back tenderly then goes to put the flowers in some water. 
Karen: So where are we going? 
Chris smiles 
Chris: That my dear is for me to know and you to find out. You ready? 
Karen: Aw come on not even a clue? 
Chris: Nope not a one. 
Chris picks up her coat and helps her on with it then they leave. 
As they drive they talk 
Karen: What no blindfold? 
Chris laughs 
Chris: No not this time. 
They soon arrive at an air port 
Karen looks at Chris cureusly 
Karen: Chris why are we at an air port what are you up to? 
Chris grins devilishly 
Chris: You'll see 
They get on a privet jet and soon are in the air. 
Chris offers Karen wine and caveiar. She tires it happily 
Karen: Uh Chris not that I'm complaining but I don't want to miss the wedding tomarrow. 
Chris: You won't don't worry. 
Soon they land in New York City 
Karen: Oh My God Chris we are in New York City for New Years Eve! This is unbelievable I've always wanted to be in New York for new years! 
Chris smiles 
Chris: you haven't seen anything yet. 
Chris lead Karen over to a white stretch limo. 
Karen: Chris where are we going now? 
Chris: You'll see. 
Soon they arrive at Rockefeller Center . Chris takes Karen up to the Rainbow Room 
Chris: Yes I'm Chris Ramsey I called for reservations for two 
The hostes nods and smiles 
Hostess: Right this way. 
She leads them to a cozy little table by a window. 
Karen sits looking at Chris awstruck as he orders the best wine tey have. He turns to Karen and smiles 
Chris: Tonight we are celebrating! 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Well this sertenly seems like a celebration to me. But aside from New Years what are we celebrating? 
Chris smiles and takes Karen's hands in his. 
Chris: To new beginings, to live, and to the fact I would have neither if it wasn't for you. Karen you are my gardian Angel and I'll love you till my dying day. 
Karen looks at Chris with tears in her own eyes. 
Karen: I love you to. You have made what easily could have been the worst year of my life probubly one of the best. You have given me so much and made me so happy. I love you more then words can say. 
They lean across the table and kiss. After a very romantic dinner they leave the restaraunt. 
Karen: So now what 
Chris smiles 
Chris: You'll see. 
They get back in the limo and make their way to the middle of Times Square. 
Chris looks down at a shocked Karen as they stand there. 
Chris: I figured since we are both so fortchunit to have everything we have this year it made sence to welcome in the New Year someplace big. 
Karen shakes her head. 
Karen: Christopher Ramsey you never sees to amaze me. I never in my wildest dreams imagend I'd be here on New Years. 
Chris: Well it's no less then you deserve. 
Soon the ball starts to drop and everyone starts counting down. And when the new year is officially here Chris pulls Karen close 
Chris: Happy New Year my love 
Karen: Happy New Year to you to 
They share a long passionate kiss. 
Karen: So back to the limo? 
Chris shakes his head 
Chris: Nope something much more romantic. 
They find a hourse and Carriage and taking a detor through central park they then go back to the jet. As they fly home Karen falls asleep on Chris's shoulder. Chris watches her sleep and smiles 
Chris: How I was ever blessed with and angel like you I'll never know but I intend to keep you Ms. Wexler 
He gently kisses her for head. 
Back in Port Charles Chris takes Karen back to her place. They stand outside her door. happily 
Karen: I'd invite you in but I really need to get to bed. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: I understand besides we ccan be together at the wedding and reception tomarrow. 
Karen nods 
Karen: You'll pick me up at ten right 
Chris: On the dot. 
Karen: I hope I can keep my eyes open 
They laugh 
Chris: Well since it's new years day I'm sure we won't be the only ones with that problem 
Karen nods and smiles 
Karen: No probubly not 
They stare at each other awhile 
Karen: Thankyou for the most memerable, most amazing New Years ever

Karen goes on in and gets ready for bed. 

Lucy stands infront of her floor length mirror in her wedding gown. 
Lucy: Well Lucy this is deffinetly the biggest you've been in one of these. 
Just then Aunt Charleen enters. 
Aunt Charleen: Oh sweet heart you are just the prettiest thing. 
Lucy smiles 
Lucy: Well I guess it's not the uglyest dress I've every worn to get married in. Remember the dress I wore when I married Alan now that was ugly 
They both laugh 
Aunt Charleen: Now huney you just stop that. You're many things but you have never been, are not now, and never will be ugly. You are a picture of buety just like your mother was. 
Lucy smiles 
Lucy: Thanks Aunt Charleen. I just wish this day could have come before I was in my third trimester. 
Aunt Charleen: Now sugar that dose not make a bit of difference. 
Aunt Charleen takes Lucy's hands in hers 
Aunt Charleen: Today is your wedding day and you are the most buetiful bride imagenable. And the fact that you are carrying your true loves children only makes you that much more buetiful. 
Lucy smiles 
Lucy: Thanks Aunt Charleen Kevin sertenly is my true love. 
Aunt Charleen: Yes and now that he's wised up I know nothing will ever come between the two of you again. 
Lucy nods 
Lucy: I won't let it. 
They smile at each other and hug. 
Aunt Charleen: So you just about ready? 
Lucy: Almost Aunt Charleen you know how you said I looked like my mom. I know that it's hard for you to talk about but could you please tell me about her. 
Aunt Charleen sighs you can see the sadness in her eyes. 
Aunt Charleen: Well I supose since it's your wedding day I can. Your mother was my little sister and I loved her dearly. She looked exactly like you Lucy girl. She acted alot like you to. Her only down fall was she was very nieve. Your Mom was a very trusting soul. She believed the world was all good. She believed in love and friendship and loyalty. She was very generus, and loved helping others. Infact she was in nursing school when she 
Aunt Charleen chokes back some tears 
Aunt Charleen: When she died 
Lucy: How did she die? 
Aunt Charleen: As I said she was a very trusting soul and believed that everyone was good. That got her into alot of trouble. Because she was so buetiful men found her earisistable and she liked it so she did probubly flaunt it more then she should have. Anyway one night she met this man, he was very charming and smooth also very wealthy so he was able to shower your mother with gifts. Well naturally having never had anything nice before your mother was thrilled. So she started a relationship with him. Now right away I smelled something fishy. He wanted her to keep their relationship a secret, was gone for long peireods of time with no explination and wouldn't give her his home phone only is office phone. I figured he was probubly married but your mother bless her little heart never saw it. Well one day your mother found out she was pregnant with you. She was so excited and thrilled. Oh baby you had never seen a girl more excited to be pregnant. She thought he'd be just as happy and whisk her away. Well unfortchunitly I was right he was married. When he found out he told her she had to abord you and he'd pay for it. Well your mother was shocked and apouled she refused to right there on the spot. Well he ended their relationship right there and told her he'd never loved her. She was heart broken. Not long after some big lawyer showed up at our door wanting her to sign some papers stating that he wasn't the father. Well she was outraged and somehow found his home number and left a message on the mushine. Well next thing you know my poor sister is in a car reck and pronounced dead at the hospital. 
Aunt Charleen starts sobbing. 
Lucy: Oh Aunt Charleen I had no idea! 
Lucy puts her arm around Aunt Charleen trying to comfort her. After collecting herself she continues. 
Aunt Charleen: They did an emergancy C section to save you. Well as it turned out her brakes and steering colume had been tampered with. I wanted to go right to the police and tell them what I suspected but that same night I got a call telling me that if I didn't keep my mouth shut you'd be next. OH baby I had to keep you safe. You were just an inocent baby and the last part of my sister I had. So I told the cops I had no idea who would want to hurt my sister and I took you home. 
Lucy gasps in horrer 
Lucy: My own father I don't believe this! 
Aunt Charleen shakes her head 
Aunt Charleen: It is beyond horrible. But baby girl you have grown into such a fine young woman and are about to marry a truly wonderful man don't let the past ruin it. 
Lucy try's to smile 
Lucy: I won't but please tell me his name? 
Aunt Charleen sighs 
Lucy: Please Aunt Charleen it's been so many years I can't imagen he is still worried about it. Besides I just want a name that's all 
Aunt Charleen nods 
Aunt Charleen: Your Fathers name is Alistair Crane. 
Lucy nods 
Aunt Charleen: Okay enough of that this is a glorius day and we're not going to wallow in the past. Now come on Lucy girl we have to finesh getting you ready 
Lucy takes a deep breath 
Lucy: You're right today is a great day I'm marring my doc and in a few months I'll be having his babies. 
Aunt Charleen nods as she helps Lucy up. They quickly set about getting her ready. 

Kevin is gettng ready in the guest room so he can't see Lucy before she walks down the ile. There is a nock on the door and Victor enters. 
Victor: Almost ready? 
Kevin smiles 
Kevin: You know Dad I feel like I've been ready to marry Lucy for my whole life. I can't imagen my life with out her. 
Victor: Well as of today you won't have to be with out her ever again. 
Kevin smiles 
Kevin: And that means everything to me. I hope you weren't disapointed that I didn't ask you to be the best man but 
Victor holds his hands up 
Victor: Nonsence Mac is your best friend and the title of best man goes to the best friend. Besides it gives me the honner of walking sweet Lucy down the ile. 
Kevin smiles 
Kevin: You really do love her as your own. 
Victor with a very seareus look on his face 
Victor: Monk I couldn't love her more if she was my own daughter. 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: I supose it was hard to watch me with someone else then. I mean as a father you probubly felt we were both suffering. 
Victor nods 
Victor: It killed me to see the two of you apart. To see you settle for something less then true love, and to see Lucy that which she deserved and was testend to have. Don't get me wrong Eve is a nice person but she is not the right one for you. 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: I know that now. So Mom gave me some good advice yesturday are you going to give me any? 
Victor thinks then smiles 
Victor: Never forget the feeling you have right now. That way when you are angry or frusterated you'll have something to lead you back home. Never let a day go past with out you saying I love you, and listen to her every thought as if your very life depends on it. 
Kevin smiles 
Kevin: That's good advice. Do you fallow that with Mary? 
Victor nods 
Victor: Yes I only have to look at her to remember the great joy I felt when we married, and I only have to tell her I love her to see the joy in her eyes. And the listening makes things so much easier. 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: Makes sence to me. 
Victor looks at his watch 
Victor: You ready to get married? 
Kevin: I've been ready forever 
Victor nods 
Victor: Then lets go. 
They hug then walk out of the room together. 

Out by the duck pond guests are taking there seats. 
Eve: Wow look at this place it's amazing! Kevin and Lucy sure went all out. 
Eve gets a distant look on her face. Scott wraps his arms around her 
Scott: Well our wedding is going to top this by a mile I promis 
Eve half laughs
Eve: Oh really and how do you plan to acomplish that? 
Scott shrugs 
Scott: Easy I'm marrying the most spectacular woman ever so how couldn't it. 
Eve: Aw 
They kiss. Just then Eve spots Karen and Chris 
Eve: Hey Chris Karen come over here and sit with us! 
Karen and Chris holding hands and both looking rather tired come over. 
Karen and Scott hug 
Karen: Hey Dad Yawn. Oh sorry Hi Eve you look nice Yawn 
Eve: Thanks Karen you look great to 
Scott: Why are you so tired? Is everything okay? 
Karen and Chris exchange a look and Karen giggles 
Eve: Okay out with it you two what gives. 
Scott: You been out partying or something? 
Karen: Well as you know last night was new years eve 
Chris: And I couldn't very well let my girl sit home and do nothing 
Karen laughs 
Karen: Well this was a far cry from nothing. He picks me up takes me to this little private air port we get on this private jet and we snack on Caviar and Wine as the plain fly's us to New York City. Then we get in this white stretch limo and go to Rockefeller Center and up to the Rainbow Room for dinner. Then we go to Times Square and watch the ball drop. Afterwords he takes me on a hourse carriage ride through sentral park and back to the jet. Then we flew home. 
Eve: Wow you don't mess around do you Chris 
Scott: That's quite and evening you gave my little girl Ramsey 
Chris: Only the best for the woman who saved my life. 
He kisses Karen softly she blushes. Just then the music starts and everybody quickly gets in their seats. Kevin and Mac take their spots and look around at the crowed. 
Mac: This day has been a long time coming you ready mate? 
Kevin smiles and nods 
Kevin: I've been ready for this for this for what seems like forever. 
Mac nods 
Mac: I think Felica and I have been to. We were just talking yesturday about how happy we are to see you two getting together. You guys have been ment to be from day one. Felica said it felt like her heart was broken when the two of you broke up it was so wrong 
Kevin: yeah it really was. But at least we're back together now. 
Mac nods in agreement. Just then the wedding march begins. It's short and sweet. Aunt Charleen fallowed by Felica fallowed next by Serena who is holding Christina's hand. Serena is trying to help Christina throw the flower petals but Christina dosn't want Serena's help. Christina yanks the basket away from Serena screaming and flings the basket over her head. She unfortchunitly looses her grip on it and it goes flying and hits Frank in the head. Frank smiles and shakes his head as he picks flowers off himself. 
Frank: We made have a major league foot ball player in the family yet. everyone burst out laughing. Serena turns bright red and drags a screaming Christina down the ile. Once they get their Aunt Charleen picks up Christina and gets her quite. Once everyone has settled down the music starts and everyone stands. 
Victor looks at Lucy and smiles squeezing her hand 
Victor: Ready my girl? 
Lucy smiles back at him 
Lucy: Yes 
Victor and Lucy start down the ile. Kevin and Lucy's eyes meet and he mouths the words I love you she mouths I love you two back to him. When they reach the front Victor hands Lucy's hand to Kevin and smiles happily. Then he takes his seat next to Mary and wipes his eyes. Mary smiles and squezes his hand. 
Mary: It's a big day for our boy 
Victor nods and smiles They then turn their attention towards the saromony. 
Minister: We are gathered here today in the presence of God and these witnesses to join this man and this woman in wholy matromony. Marriage is a secred institution that should not be entered into lightly but revrently and with full knowledge of the commitment. There for I charge you both if you know of any reason why you may not be joined in holy matromony speak now or forever hold your peace. Kevin do you take Lucy to be your wife? Do you promis to care for and charish her and cleave only under her as long as you both shall live? 
Kevin: I do

Minister: Kevin and Lucy have asked to say some words to each other. 
Kevin clears his throat 
Kevin: If I were a ship lost at sea you would be the light from the light house that guides me home, if I were a Man lost in the dessert dying of thirst you'd be the bond I found to quench it, if I were tear drop full of pain you'd be the tissue to dry it. Lucy you are my angel, my heaven my earth my heart and my soul. With you there is light with out you only dark. With you there is wormth with out you only cold. I love you beyond words beyond actions beyond everything. And here today it is my great honer and priveleg to make you my wife. 
Lucy is crying. She wipes her face takes a deep breath and begins 
Lucy: Kevin I have spent my life wanting for things I didn't have. Wanting for love, wanting for exceptants, wanting for a place to call home. But now thanks to you I want no more. You've reached into my heart and filled the very empty parts, you've reached into my soul and healed what was broke, you've taken every dream and turned it to reality, you've taken every tear and turned it to joy. Minister: Now that Kevin and Lucy have consented to being to gether with the exchange of rings and vows infront of God and these witnesses I now pronounce they are husband and wife. You may kiss the bride. 
Kevin pulls Lucy close and kises her pationetly as a loud roer of cheers erupts from the crowed. Kevin and Lucy walk down the Ile happily. Scott squezes Eve's hand and whispers to her 
Scott: We're next 
Eve smiles

It has now been six weeks and is the morning of Eve and Scott's wedding. Everyone is excitedly getting ready for the festivity's. Chris and Karen are at his place getting ready. Chris walks into the living room in a tux. 
Chris: How do I look? 
Chris turns around smiling. Karen smiles as she fineshes up her make up and walks over to him. 
Karen: You are looking very fine. 
She wraps her arms around him and they kiss. 
Karen: So do you like my new dress? 
Karen twirls around. Chris gazes at her lost in her buety. Chris smiles and shakes his head. 
Chris: I don't think I have ever seen a more amazingly gorgues vision. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Aw sweet talker. 
Chris then suddenly gets a very seareus look on his face. 
Chris: There is just one probublem 
Karen looks conserened 
Karen: What what is it? 
Chris walks over and takes her hands in his and looks dealy into her eyes. 
Chris: You're not supposed to be more buetiful then the bride. 
Chris cracks a smile and Karen starts laughing 
Chris: But I guess it can't be helped you could wear a berlap sac and still be the most buetiful woman in the room. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Well if I look buetiful it's mearly a reflection of what I see when I look at you. Chris you are everything to me and I'm so greatful to have you in my life. 
Chris pulls her close 
Chris: Well that makes two of us. I am beyond greatful to have you in my life Karen. I love you more then words can say 
They kiss passionatly 
Karen: So not to bring up a sore topic but are you sure you're going to be okay today? 
Chris: Yeah why 
It then occures to Chris 
Chris: Oh because this is the same church we had Julie's funeral at? 
Karen nods and gets a ticked look on her face. 
Karen: I know Eve has the right to get married anywhere she wants but I still say it was a rather insensitive choice. 
Chris sighs 
Chris: Karen you are the one that taught me that I can't spend my life avoiding things that remind me of Julie. I need to face them and get on with my life. I went back to work didn't I? I stood in the same cubical where she died and saved a life didn't I? 
Karen nods 
Karen: But this 
Karen shakes her head 
Karen: I don't know it just seems like rubbing lemon in your woonds to me. 
Chris smiles and shakes his head. 
Chris: I don't think anyone has ever acted so protective of me in my life. 
Karen: Well it's about time someone did. 
Chris: Karen my woonds are scabed over, and I don't need a church to remind me of Julie. Besides it will be nice to have a happy memory there. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Well if you're okay with this then I guess I should be to huh. 
Chris: Karen I know you saw me at my weakest and most volnruable but I promis you I can be and am strong to. 
Karen nods 
Karen: I know and I'll try to remember that. 
Chris then pulls her close 
Chris: But should you feel the sudden urge to hold me close I won't complain. 
He smiles breadly and Karen laughs as she wraps her arms around him 
Karen: I'll remember that 
They kiss 
Kevin and Lucy are getting ready for the wedding. Kevin is dressed in his tux as Lucy wadles in 
Lucy: Oooh 
Kevin jumps and runs to her 
Kevin: Lucy are you okay?! 
Lucy smiles and shakes her head 
Lucy: I'm fine Doc my back is just killing me though. Boy oh boy is it hard carrying twins. 
Kevin helps her sit down. He sits beside her and takes her hand 
Kevin: Well you carry them buetifully. 
Lucy smiles 
Lucy: Well I'm sertenly happy to be carrying them. 
Lucy rubs her swollen stomach. Then grimeses as she rubs her back 
Lucy: These back spasems I will sertenly not be missing once these two are born. 
Kevin: Here let me see what I can do 
Kevin gets behind her and starts rubbing her back 
Kevin: Better? 
Lucy: Oh Doc you sertenly have the tutch. 
Kevin smiles 
Kevin: So I've been told 
He leans down and starts kissing her neck. 
Lucy giggles 
Lucy: Uh Doc you know not that I'm complaining but that's kind of what caused my back to be hurting in the first place 
Kevin: Oh well in that case 
Kevin starts to get up, Lucy grabs him 
Lucy: No no get back here I'm just teasing you! 
They both laugh 
Kevin holds her close 
Kevin: So besides your back how do you feel? 
Lucy smiles 
Lucy: Unbelievably happy. 
Kevin smiles 
Kevin: Now that's what I like to hear. 
They kiss. 
Lucy: You know Doc sometimes I wake up and I think this must be somebody elses life I'm living. I mean everything is just so good. Think about it we are man and wife and in a few weeks we're going to bring our children into the world. Sometimes It's hard to believe my life could really be this perfect. 
Kevin strokes her face 
Kevin: It's not someone elses life you're living Lucy it's yours and you are more then deserving of it. 
They kiss. 
Kevin: You know I hate to bring it up but we do need to finesh getting ready 
Lucy sighs 
Lucy: And I was just getting comfortable. 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: I know I know imagen the nurve of her getting married right now 
Kevin cracks a smile and gets up to finesh getting ready 
Lucy: Doc? 
Kevin: Yeah? 
Lucy: Do you ever regret, well I mean you really did love Eve and 
Kevin turns and looks at Lucy surprised by what she is asking. Then he goes to her and takes her hands in his. 
Kevin: Lucy my only regret is that I walked out of our first wedding. And as for love well Lucy the fact is the feelings I had for Eve don't even come close to the depth of my love for you. You are my one true love my soul mate my everything. So no I am happy for Eve we all deserve to find someone and I'm thankful for us that we have found our way back to one anuther. 
Lucy smiles with tears in her eyes 
Kevin: Any other questions? 
Lucy shakes her head 
Lucy: No I think that about covers it 
They kiss tenderly. 

Mary is getting ready, she can hear Victor in the other room using the extra time to put the last fineshing tutches on the nursey. She smiles and pats her stomach 
Mary: Well sweet heart you may not have the youngest, coolest or most energetic father, but I promis you you couldn't ask for a more loving, determend, or devoted father. 
Victor comes back into the room. 
Victor: Hello there my sweet. 
He kisses Mary softly 
Victor: And hello to my little sweet. 
He bends down and kisses Mary's stomach. Mary smiles happily. 
Victor: So how are the two most important people in my life doing. 
Mary: Well after a recption like this just splended. 
They kiss. 
Mary: Ouch! 
Mary rubs her stomach. Victor jumps alarmed 
Victor: What is it! Is it the baby?! 
Mary smiles and shakes her head 
Mary: No sweet heart don't you worry. Your son or daughter here simply has very strong legs. He or she has been kicking me just a little harder then usual today. 
Victor: Are you sure it's nothing more? 
Mary: Now Victor I've been through this twice before yes I'm sure. 
Mary rubs her back 
Mary: But I must say my back is sertenly aching up a storm this morning. 
Victor: Well then let me rub it my dear. 
He leads Mary to a chair and rubs her back 
Victor: Better? 
Mary smiles 
Mary: Much. So I heard you in the nursery before 
Victor: Yes just putting the last fineshing tutches on it. It's come together quite nicely if I do say so myself. 
Mary: Well I think our baby is going to be so lucky to have you as a father. 
Victor: And you as a mother my dear. 
He kisses Mary on the cheeck. 
Victor: Are you sure you want to go to this wedding? I'm sure Scott and Eve would understand if you'd like to stay home and rest. 
Mary: Oh don't be silly I''m pregnant not an invilid. We were invited and we're going. 
Victor: Very well I'll go down stairs and make us a little breakfast before we go 
Mary smiles 
Mary: That would be delightful. 
They kiss. Victor leaves the room. Mary grimesis again and rubs her back 
Mary: I wonder . . . 

Frank, Courtney and Neil are getting ready for the wedding. 
Frank: Just about ready how about you? 
Courtney: Almost everythng takes you longer when you're eight months pregnant. 
Frank smiles he comes up behind her and wraps his arms around her. 
Frank: Well you're the most prettiest eight month pregnant woman I've ever seen. 
Courtney smiles turns around and wraps her arms around his neck 
Courtney: Well that deserves a kiss. 
They kiss tenderly. All of the sudden Courtney grabs her stomach 
Courtney: Ouch! 
Frank jumps on red alurt. 
Frank: Courtney what is it? Is it the baby? Is it time? 
Frank helps Courtney to the bed where she sits. 
Courtney: No no it's fine. 
Frank: Courtney 
Courtney smiles at Franks concern and takes his hand in hers. 
Courtney: Frank I've been through this before okay. I know what is or isn't laber. Yes it was a contraction but I'm serten it was a prelabor contraction. I had them for six weeks before Neil was born. Besides this baby isn't due for a few more weeks. 
Frank: Are you sure? 
Frank rubs Courtney's stomach 
Frank: I don't want you taking any chances. 
Courtney smiles 
Courtney: Frank trust me when I go into labor you'll be the second to know. 
Frank smiles 
Frank: Good 
They kiss 
Courtney: Now speaking of babies did you speak to Lucy this morning? How is Christina's cold? 
Frank smiles 
Frank: She's doing much better and is looking forward to spending a few days with us. 
Courtney smiles 
Courtney: Good I'm glad the poor thing has been so under the weather. 
Frank: Courtney are you sure it's not going to be to much for you to have a one year old running around here? I mean you are eight months pregnant 
Courtney: Ofcourse I'm sure. Frank I love that little girl with all my heart. We are her family to and I want her to always know that. Besides it's not going to be any easier after this one comes. I also don't want to risk Christina becoming Jelous of the new baby. 
Frank shakes his head and smiles 
Frank: You are just incredible you know that. I love you so much and I love that you love my daughter. 
Courtney: Frank she is part of you how could I not. 
They kiss Courtney looks at her watch. 
Courtney: Oh it's getting late why don't you go check and see if Neil is ready 
Frank nods kisses her lightly and leaves. Courtney grimeses again and rubs her stomach. 

Scott is buzy getting ready for the saromony in his bed room when there is a nock on the door. 
Scott: Come in 
Serena enters in her flower girl dress. Scott smiles at her as she twirls around 
Serena: How do I look? 
Scott goes over to her. 
Scott: You my dear are just the prettiest flower girl around. 
Serena plops down on the bed. 
Serena: Dad don't you think I''m getting to old to be a flower girl? I mean I am evlevin. 
Scott sits down next to her. 
Scott: Ah come on now you're the perfect age to be a flower girl. 
Serena: Dad Christina isn't even two yet and she was a flower girl. I'm elevin how can I still be the right age for a flower girl? 
Scott puts his arm around Serena 
Scott: Well if you ask me I think Christina is way to young to be a flower girl. I mean heck did you see how Frank got boped in the head with her basket? She could have taken someone out with that thing. 
Serena gigles remembering the scene at Lucy and Kevin's wedding. 
Serena: Yeah she didn't really know what was going on did she. 
Scott shakes his head 
Scott: No she was way to young. Now you on the other hand you are a mature young lady. You know how to be a flower girl. You know what is going on and what is expected. 
Serena: That's true I am pretty good at it. 
Scott: Are you kidding me you're the best! If they had a contest for the best flower girl you'd win hands down. 
Serena smiles

Scott: So you got any more questions for me? 
Serena gets an uncomfortable look on her face

Serena: Well what do I call Eve now? I mean I already have a real Mom in heavan, and Lucy is already my adopted Mom on earth. So what am I supposed to call her? I don't want to make Lucy jelous or hurt her feelings, but I don't want to hurt Eve's feelings either and I''m really not sure I want a third Mom anyways. 
Scott looks at his daughter lovingly. 
Scott: Well why don't you call her what you've been calling her? 
Serena: Do you think that would hurt her feelings if I did that? 
Scott: I think that Eve knows how much you love Lucy and your Mom. And I don't think she would ever think she could take their places. But I do think she would like to be your friend. 
Serena: She is my friend 
Scott: Well great then it's settled you'll keep calling her Eve. 
Serena: That's a relief I like Eve and all but I already have two Mom's. 
Scott: But you can never have too many friends 
Serena nods 
Serena: I agree 
Scott: So are you still okay with me marrying Eve? 
Serena nods 
Serena: Deffinetly she is so cool I can't waite for her to be part of our family, I just don't want to call her Mom 
Scott: That's fine. So what do you say we finesh getting ready? 
Serena: Cool 
They hug and Serena runs back to her room to finesh getting ready. Scott watches her go and smiles and shakes his head, then fineshis getting ready. 

Eve is getting ready at her apartment when there is a nock at the door. She goes and finds Chris standing at the door. 
Eve: Chris! 
Chris: your man of honner at your service madam 
Chris playfully bows Eve laughs 
Eve: Well get in here man of honner and help me finesh getting ready. 
Chris: You look pretty much ready to me. Infact you look wonderful. 
Eve smiles 
Eve: Thanks Ramsey. 
Chris: You're welcome. So do I get to shuve you in a closet now? 
Chris smiles devilishly. 
Eve: Not a chance. 
They both laugh 
Eve: So is Karen okay with meeting you at the church? 
Chris: Yeah she knows as the best person I need to be here. 
Eve nods 
Eve: Are you okay with being at that church? 
Chris: Well It's not my favorite place to be but it's not a problem. Besides today isn't about me it's about you. 
Eve smiles and shakes her head 
Eve: Man dating Karen has changed you 
Chris laughs 
Chris: Well I think it's a combination of things that have changed me. But Lamburt you have to know aside from last summer you have always been a priority to me. 
Eve looks at Chris and smiles with a tear in her eye 
Eve: I know. And believe me it's ment alot to me. I know I haven't always shown it but it really does. You were my friend when no one else was. I won't forget that. 
Chris: Well we were always pretty simelure. That's probubly why we never got together. 
Eve: I guess we are some what simelure but I wouldn't think that would make us less likly to get together. I mean if anything I would think that would of made us more likly to get together. 
Chris: No I don't think so. 
Chris sits down with Eve 
Chris: I mean sure two really good people can get together and be succsesful but when you're as jaded as we were it would never work. Peaple like us need someone opiset to balance us out and bring out the best in us. We would have only brought out the worst in each other not the best. 
Eve considers this 
Eve: I never thought about it like that but I supose that is true. You and Julie were alot alike though weren't you? 
Chris smiles and shakes his head 
Chris: In some ways but over all no I don't think we were. You see the Julie we met when the internship started never realy disapeared. She just got barried under awhole lot of garbage. She got jaded and hurt and really messed up. I think what I did was help her clean her wings and what she did was help me find my heart. She was an angel to me Eve. 
Chris gets a sad distant look in his eyes. Eve reaches out and takes his hand. 
Eve: I know and I'm sure she is an angel now and she's looking down over you. 
Chris smiles 
Chris: I hope so. Okay enough about that lets focus on you. I don't want you being late and everyone to think I locked you in a closet or something 
Chris smiles Eve laughs. 
Eve: Well I think I'm pretty much ready. 
Chris: Okay lets go over the assentials. 
Chris: Do you have something blue? 
Eve blushes 
Eve: My underpants 
Chris: Well I guess Scott can make sure of that tonight. 
Eve: Chris! 
They both start laughing 
Chris: Oh come on Lamburt you know you live for my hummer 
Eve smiles and shakes her head 
Chris: Something new? 
Eve: the dress 
Chris nods 
Chris: Okay something barrowed? 
Eve: Oh a my mothers bracelet. 
Chris looks at the braclet 
Chris: Nice. Okay now for something old. 
Eve: Oh I don't think I have anythinig 
Chris smiles 
Chris: Well then allow me to help. 
Chris reaches in his pocket. And pulls out a box and hands it to Eve 
Eve stairs at it 
Chris: Well go ahead open it. You need something old don't you. 
Eve opens the box and gasps inside is a neckles with a gold locket on it. And on it is ingraved the word ''Best Friend'' 
Chris: My Mothers best friend gave it to her when she married my father. I inharited it when she died. I hope that it brings you better luck then it brought her but the sentiment is the same. We are best friends and that won't ever change. 
Eve has tears in her eyes 
Eve: I love it Chris thankyou. 
They hug and Chris helps Eve on with the neckless. 
Chris: Well we'd better get you to the church. Are you ready? 
Eve smiles at Chris 
Eve: Ready 
They head off hand in hand. 

Karen rings the door bell at the fire house and a very dressed up Serena anwsers the door. 
Serena: Hey sis! 
Karen and Serena hug 
Karen: Hey there kiddo. 
Serena takes her hand and pulls her inside. 
Serena: Dad's upstairs he's almost ready 
Karen nods 
Karen: Great and I can see you are ready. 
Serena: Yep I've been ready for a little while. You look buetiful 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Well thankyou you look very buetiful yourself 
Serena grins at her big sister. Just then Scott walks in the room. 
Scott: Well if it isn't two of my favorite wemon in the world. 
He goes over and hugs Karen 
Scott: hey buetiful 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Hey Dad. So you ready for the big day? 
Scott: As ready as I'm going to be. 
He turns around 
Serena: Dad you're so handsome 
Scott smiles 
Karen: I agree Dad is the most handsome man in the world 
Serena looks suprised 
Serena: Even more handsome then your Chris? 
Scott and Karen laugh 
Karen: Well it's a tie. 
Scott: You're looking very pretty yourself 
Karen: Thanks 
Scott: Speaking of Chris where is he? 
Karen: Oh well since he's the man of honner for Eve he's helping her get ready and getting her to the church. 
Serena: I thought brides maides did that? 
Karen: Well the brides best friend usually does but in this case the brides best friend is a man so he's taking care of it. 
Serena nods 
Scott: I know Eve is really glad that they are friends again 
Karen nods 
Karen: Chris is to. Believe me Dad he didn't like feeling that way. 
Serena: Hey maybe you and Chris will get married next 
Karen laughs nurvesly 
Karen: Well I don't know about that 
Serena: Why not don't you love him? 
Karen: Yeah but there is more to getting married then just loving someone and I'm not sure Chris is ready. 
Scott: Well he's a fool if he dosn't want to marry you 
Karen: Okay lets change the subject. Speaking of weddings we need to get to the church or you'll be late for yours 
Scott: Well we can't have that. 
hand in hand the three some head out. 

Lee and Gail are getting ready for the wedding. 
Gail: Well isn't it just a simply buetiful day for a wedding. The sky is blue, the sun is shining and for a Febuary day it really isn't even that cold outside. 
Gail smiles happily 
Lee: Yes it most sertenly is a great day for a wedding. I talked to Scotty earlier and he is so happy he's about to jump out of his own skin 
Leee smiles and shakes his head. 
Gail: Oh that is simply splended. I'm so glad Scotty is happy. He has had such a rough life and so many heart aches. Just to know he's finelly truly happy does my heart so much good 
Lee: My too. You know it dosn't matter how old your kids are when they hurt you hurt. 
Gail nods in agreement. 
Gail: I just hope nothing happens this time to hurt him. 
Lee sighs 
Lee: I know I prayed most of the night that this time there would be no broken hearts. 
Gail: Well lets just hope someone heard. 
Lee: Well I know they work sometimes, after all I have you don't I. 
Lee smiles and pulls Gail in close. Gail wraps her arms around Lee's neck 
Gail: Oh really 
Lee: Gail before you I was lost, alone, scared, unsure of myself and like Scott has been so many times heart broken. When you came into my life it was nothing less then an anwsered prayer. 
Gail smiles with tears in her eyes 
Gail: Well you sertenly are a dream come true in my life. I simply could not ask for more then you my love. 
Lee: Well that goes double for me. 
They kiss tenderly 
Lee sighs 
Lee: Well shall we go see our son get married? 
Gail: And hopefully see the end to his loosing streak in love. 
Lee: Amen to that 
They kiss and leave hand in hand. 

Eve is in a back room in the church getting ready to walk down the ile when there is a nock at the door. 
Eve: Hello? 
Scott: Is there a future Mrs. Baldwin in there? 
Eve panics and runs to the door holding it shut 
Eve: Scott what are you doing! 
Scott: Just trying to see my buetiful bride 
Eve: Scott come on you know it's bad luck for you to see me before I walk down the ile! 
Scott laughs 
Scott: Aw you don't really believe in that stuff do you? 
Eve: Hey it has taken us a very long time to get here and has been a very bumpy road I am not risking it. 
Scott chuckles. 
Scott: Ah what ever makes you happy my dear. But can I at least tell you something 
Eve sighs 
Eve: Okay but then you have to go away and waite till I walk down the ile 
Scott: I just wanted to tell you how much I love you. Eve when Dom died I was sure I'd never love again. Not this deeply not this strongly and sertenly not this soon. I was sure I was destined to be alone for ever. Even with Lucy it was more like a relationship of convenance. I mean don't get me wrong we cared about each other but not like this. Eve you are everything to me I love you with every fiber of my being. And I I just wanted to let you know that and to say thankyou for making me the happiest man on earth. 
Eve has tears streaming down her face now 
Eve: Scott I I love you too. I have never been this happy or this inlove and I am so honnered to be about to become your wife. Now please go back and waite for me. 
Scott: You're not going to run out on me are you? 
Eve: Not a chance now go away 
They both laugh 
Scott: Okay okay I love you 
Eve: I love you to. 
Scott Leaves Eve just stairs at the door her heart full of love 
Eve: Well girl you have hit the jack pot 
Eve shakes her head and goes to tuctch up her eye make up.
