True Love

Chapter One

Ian is at the clinic. Eve has taken the day off. She brings in Danny to visit his daddy. 

Danny- Da Da 
Ian looks up from his papers and smiles. He gets up and walks over to them. He picks up Danny and starts to play with him. 
Eve- So how's everything coming along? 
Ian- Well I have made a little progress. I have narrowed it down to four diseases that Megan could have. 
Eve- Have you found any sign of a cure? 
Ian- No not yet. 
Ian gets up and walks over to Eve. He sits down next to her with Danny on his lap. Eve starts to make funny faces at Danny. 
Ian- (laughing) You look so cute when you do that. 
Eve- (smiling) Hey! You're just as bad as me. 
Ian- okay okay you got me. 
Colleen walks in. 
Colleen- Awe. He's so adorable. 
Colleen starts playing with Danny. Ian and Eve look at each other and smile. 
Ian- Hey Colleen would you mind watching him for about 15 minutes? 
Eve looks at him in question. 
Colleen- Would I mind? Of course I wouldn't mind. I would love to. 
Ian- Thank you. We will be back shortly. 
He grabs Eves hand and they walk off together. They walk into the medical file room. He closes the door behind them. 

Chapter Two

Eve- What are we doing here? 
Ian- I have to show you something. 
He gets on the computer and goes to check his email. He brings on up. 
I know what you are trying to do. She can't be helped. She deserves to DIE!! If you continue you will die too. You have no idea what you and your little wifie have gotten into. You will be sorry. 
ME
Eve- When did you get this? 
Ian- This morning. 
Eve- Do you know who it is from? Is there any way to find out? 
Ian- I have Victor working on it right now. I just wanted to let you know. 
Eve- Well we can't stop now or she will die. Even if that is what this person wants. She is too young to die. 
Ian- I know. I just want to be careful. I'm not going to let anyone hurt my family. 
Eve- Or Megan. We can't let her die. 
Ian- She won't. Don't worry about it. (Ian stands up pulling Eve up w/ him. He pulls her close.) So what are we going to do for lunch. 
Eve- (putting her arms around his neck) We are going on a picnic. Just the three of us. The food is packed in the car. So whenever you're ready to go. 
Ian- Okay then. Lets go now. 
They walk back to Colleen. 
Eve- (picking up Danny) So did you guys have fun? 
Colleen-Yeah we had a lot of fun. 
Ian- Thanks Colleen. 
Colleen- No problem. Anytime you need me I will be more than willing to watch him for you. 
Eve- We will take you up on your offer. 
Colleen- Well you guys have fun. 
Eve- Don't worry we will. Bye. 
Colleen leaves. 
Ian- Are you ready to go? 
Eve- more than ready. 
She puts her arm around him as he does the same. They walk off to the car.
Ian, Eve, and Danny arrive at the cabin.

Chapter Three

 Ian opens the door and they enter. 
Eve- Oh my gosh! What happened here? 
Ian- It looks like someone was looking for something. 
Eve- But what would they be looking for? 
Ian- Well our research for one. After that email it seems like that person will do anything to stop us from helping Megan and keeping her alive. 
Eve- That's what I'm afraid of. 
Ian- Well you shouldn't be afraid of anything. As long as we are together nothing will happen. 
The lights go off. 
Eve- Sure nothing will happen. Then what just happened here? 
Ian- I don't know. How about we get out of here and go have our picnic? We will figure this out later. 
Eve- Sounds good to me. 
They leave the cabin and find a bare spot in the woods. They sit down on a blanket. Eve puts Danny in between her and Ian. They start to eat. Laughing and enjoying the afternoon. Then Eve's phone rings. 
Eve- Hello? 
The VOICE- What do you think will happen? 
Eve- Who is this? 
Ian looks worried 
The VOICE- Soon everything will be over. Don't worry you and your family will be gone soon. 
The VOICE hands up. As does Eve. 
Ian- Eve? What was that all about?? 
Eve- Ian I think we need to leave. 
Ian- Eve are you okay? Who was that on the phone? What did they want? What did they say? 
Eve- I don't know who it was but they said that you and your family will be gone soon. Ian i'm afraid. Can we please go home. 
Ian- Sure. Lets get out of here. Don't worry about the phone call. I won't let anything happen to you or Danny. You know that. Believe in it. Believe in us. 

Eve just put the baby down to sleep. She walks out to the living room where Ian his. He is writing something. When he hears her coming he stops and covers it up. She walks over to him and starts to kiss him. 
Ian- (pulling away) What was that for? 
Eve- I just wanted to let you know how much I love you. 
Ian - Well if that is what you are going to do... 
He starts kissing her agian. 
This time Eve pulls away. 
Eve- I have a surprise for you. 
Ian- Why? Huh? 
Eve- Well I know that our anniversary isn't for another week but I wanted to give it to you now. 
Ian- Oh really? Is is what I think it is? 
He starts nibbling at her neck. 
Eve- Well that and this.. 
She gets up and walks into their bedroom. She comes out with a little box. She places on her lap as she sits down next to him. 
Eve- Ian, I love you. 
She hands him the box. Not knowing how he will react. Ian opens the box. There is a pocket watch inside the box. 
Eve- The minute I say this it reminded me of you. It came over from Ireland. The lady told me the story befind it. 
Ian- Well are you going to tell me the story or torture me some more. 
Eve- Okay... In Ireland there were two people in love just like us. He was a fisherman. He was to leave on a big job the next day. He would be gone for a week. His lover bought him this watch so he could count down to the very second when they would be together. She gave it this very day 300 years ago. There was an accident out on the ocean 3 days later. She never saw him again. One year later she was walking along the edge of the ocean. She went to their spot. She looked down and there was the pocket watch she had given to him the night before he left. She started to cry. I am giving this to you to let you know how much I love you. How much I will always love you. No matter how long we are apart , even for a second, I will always be thinking about you. I will always love you. 
She starts to kiss him........

Chapter Four
Today is Ian and Eve anniversary. Kevin and Lucy have just arrived at the loft. Ian opens the door. 
Ian- Kevin Lucy Thanks for doing this. 
Lucy- No problem. I love to watch little Daniel. 
Kevin- Yeah don't worry about it. 
Lucy- So what are you two doing tonight? 
Ian- (smiling) It's a surprise. 
Lucy- Are you sure you can't even tell us a tiny detail ? 
Ian- Well... No I can't. 
Lucy- Fine. Be that way then. 
Ian- Okay. We will be back sunday afternoon. 
Kevin- Is Eve going to be okay away from Daniel for three days after everything that has happened. 
Ian- I'm sure everything will be okay. I know that we both trust you two w/ him so I don't think she will worry so much. Besides we have plenty to celebrate. 
Eve walks out of the bedroom w/ Daniel. 
Eve- Hi guys. 
Kevin- Hey Eve. 
Lucy- Awe you two look so cute. 
Eve- Thank you. 
Ian- So are you ready to go? 
Eve- I think so... 
She gives Daniel to Lucy. 
Eve- Bye Daniel.... Mommy loves you. 
She kisses him on his head. 
Eve- All of the numbers are on the counter. My cell phone will be turned on the entire time. His clothes and everything you will need is in the nursery. Y 
Kevin- Don't worry. We will take wonderful care of him. Just go and enjoy your weekend. 
Eve- okay... Bye Danny (she kisses him again) 
Ian- Bye Daniel 
Ian and Eve leave. 
Eve and Ian are in the car. 
Eve- So where are we going? 
Ian- Some place special. 
Eve- The cabin? 
Ian- No. I figured since it was trashed, whoever wants to hurt us might think we would go there. Then they might come after us. 
Eve- So you're not going to tell me where? 
Ian- We're almost there. Just relax. 
Eve- No problem. 
About 1/2 and hour later Ian stops. Eve is still asleep next to him. He decides not to wake her up. He goes into the hotel and checks in. he goes up to the room and puts their lugage down. He pulls out a letter. He adds something to the bottom of it. He leaves the room w/ the key and leaves it unlocked. He goes back down to the car where Eve is still asleep. He slowly opens the door. He climbs into the car and kiss her forhead. He whispers to her that he loves her. He places the letter and the key to the hotel room on his seat and closes the door. He goes to the hotel room and locks the door behind him. He starts getting the room ready. Back down at the car Eve wakes up. She calls out to Ian but there is no reply. She looks at the seat and sees a letter addressed to her and a hotel key. She picks them both up. She looks at the hotel key. It is to room 611. She opens up the letter and starts to read it. 

My Dearest Eve, 

First of all I want to thank you. I need to thank you. Not only for our wonderful son but also for shinning upon my soul. You brought light into my life when I didn't think anything would be bright again. You have stuck by my side even when I turned the other cheek. You never gave up on me. You have always believed in me. When you're angry I watch your eyes dance and know that everything will be ok. I have known that forever. From our first kiss to the first time we made love to the first time we told each other that we loved each other. Watching you sleep while we were locked in the file room or trapped in Harris' compound. There are somethings i want you to think about like our Valentine's Day kiss, Tirama Island, and our first wedding. There are so many wonderful moments we have had and that we continue making. Each day it gets better and better. It will continue getting better with every breathe. I love you.
