Alison and Rafe stand on the bridge hugging each other tightly as tears stream down their cheeks 
Rafe: I don't want to go. I don't want to leave you. I love you. Dammit I love you so much and it is just so cruel! 
Alison holds him close 
Alison: I I don't want you to go either. I love you Rafe you are my everything. It is cruel it is cruel and it is wrong. Everyone who Caleb hurt has been saved you should have been to. It's not right. Jack and Livvie both died, Gabby was a vampire, couples were nearly destroyed but they are all okay now we all are. You should be to it's just not right! 
Rafe: God I'd give anything to be alive again. To be able to live out my life here with you. 
Alison: I want that to. If only you hadn't raised me from the dead maybe it could be. 
Rafe: No! no, don't ever say that! Alison you are an incredible person. If there was ever a person who deserved to be brought back to life it is you. I will never regret that and I do not want you to either. 
Alison: But it just isn't right! Here I am raised from the dead and you 
Alison trails off as a thought occurs to her she pulls back from Rafe 
Rafe: Alison what? What is it? 
Alison: Oh My God that's it! 
Alison's whole face lights up 
Alison: Rafe that is it! We can get you your miracle! I just figured it out! 
Rafe looks at Alison puzzled 
Rafe: How? 
Alison can bearly control herself she is so excited. 
Alison: Okay remember the night we baby sat Danny? And after we left there you helped me put on my very own light show? 
Rafe: Yeah we almost kissed. But what does that have to do with anything? 
Alison: Just listen okay? Now you didn't do that magic. I mean, you did it for Danny but out on the bridge you gave me the power to do it right? 
Rafe: Yeah but it 
Alison: No but's Rafe you gave me the power. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: If you say so but I still don't see what this has to do with me being alive again. 
Alison takes Rafe's hands in hers 
Alison: Rafe don't you see? You have the power to create this miracle for yourself. All you have to do is give me the power 
Rafe: Alison 
Alison: Rafe listen to me okay. You brought me back from the dead so I know it can be done. I also know you were able to give me power that night on the bridge during the light show. 
She squeezes his hands in hers. 
Alison: So please Rafe, give me the power to help you. Give me the power to bring you back to the land of the living. Let me be you angel 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: You already are. 
Alison: Okay then give me the power. 
Rafe: Alison I can't 
Alison: Why not! Rafe you have absolutely nothing to loose don't you see that! The worst that can happen is that it won't work and you'll be right where you are now, and the best that can happen is you'll be alive again and we can be together like we were meant to be. Trust me Rafe 
Alison puts his hand against her beating heart. 
Alison: Trust in our love. Give me the power to make this right. 
Rafe has tears in his eyes 
Rafe: Oh Alison I want nothing more then to do that. But I have no idea how to. It's one thing to bring out the love and warmth in someone like you, which is what made that light show by the way. But to give a person the power to raise the dead is quite another. I wouldn't even know where to start. 
Alison looks at him intensely 
Alison: Start by trusting our love. Rafe look you have nothing to loose. What can it hurt to try. Just just focus on me very hard and try to give me your strength your power your magic that seems like a good place to start 
Rafe seeing their is no arguing with her and wanting desperately to believe this could work takes her hands in his and holds them tightly. He focuses intensely on her trying to send her all his strength. They feel a strange warmth pass between them and Alison feels an almost electrical sensation pass from his hands to hers. Then just as soon as it began the warmth and the electricity is gone. 
Alison: Rafe did you feel that? 
Rafe nods 
Rafe: I've never felt anything like that before. 
Alison: Do you think it means that it worked? 
Rafe shakes his head uncertainly 
Rafe: I have no idea. 
Rafe looks at his watch and sighs sadly 
Rafe: I have to go Alison. 
Alison nods and they hug one more time. As they hug tightly Alison speaks firmly 
Alison: Okay listen you I need you to believe in me. I need you to believe in us and our love with all you have. Believe in what we just felt and in my abilities. I will go to your grave and give it my all to bring you back but you must believe that is the only way. 
Rafe: I do Alison I do. You make me feel like anything is possible. 
Alison: Okay just remember that. And and everything will be okay. 
Rafe steps back 
Rafe: Okay then. So I'll see you soon 
Alison: Yes definitely. 
They kiss tenderly and Rafe heads off. Both trying to believe that Alison can do this. Alison goes to Livvie and tells her what has happened. Livvie and Alison pull some strings and get on Alison's grandmothers jet and fly straight to transilvania. They wait until it's dark and go to the semitary. After some searching they find Rafe's grave. Alison is over come with emotion upon seeing it. But Livvie helps Alison re gain her composure. Together they quickly dig up Rafe's coffin and open it. They gasp in horror at the badly decomposed body. 
Livvie: That that can't be Rafe 
Alison sighs sadly looking at Rafe's body with total love 
Alison: No, no it is. Remember Livvie we were seeing Rafe's soul his body was always here. Rafe has been dead for ten years and this is what happens. 
Livvie: Well, do you think with his body so decomposed you can really bring him back? I mean, maybe he could bring you back because you weren't decomposed. 
Alison takes a deep breath 
Alison: I have to believe there is a chance. I have to believe that our love and the magic of our connection will reverse this. 
Livvie: But, but where do we start? I mean did he tell you what to do? 
Alison thinks 
Alison: No, but I think our love will guide me. I I think I have to put my hands on him and pray. 
Livvie: You can tutch him when he's in that condition! 
Alison gives Livvie a sharp look 
Alison: Livvie this is the man I love, I can and will tutch him no matter what he looks like cause in my eyes he will always be beautiful. 
Alison has tears in her eyes as she looks down at Rafe. She eases herself into the coffin and rests her hands on his cold decomposing body. She closes her eyes and begins praying. She tries this for several minutes but nothing happens. 
Livvie: Shouldn't something be happening by now? 
Alison sighs 
Alison: Yes. Maybe, maybe try praying with me? 
Livvie: But didn't Rafe do it all by himself? 
Alison: Yeah but I'm not an angel maybe it takes two for humans to do it. 
Livvie nods Alison puts her hands back on Rafe's body both Alison and Livvie close their eyes and pray for several minutes but nothing happens. Alison sighs 
Livvie: I'm sorry Alison I I just don't think this is going to work. 
Alison: NO! No, I won't give up! I can do this I know I can! 
Livvie: Okay okay don't yell we don't want to get caught in here. Look, do you remember anything about how you were brought back? 
Alison thinks hard. A fuzzy memory comes back to her she sees Rafe hunched over her his hands placed on her neck, his eyes focused right on her. 
Alison: I I think I remember! Oh My God ofcourse! I I have to focus on him! Right before he left he focused on me very strongly to try and give me powers. I felt this warmth and this electrical sensation go through me. That's it! I I know what to do! 
Alison excitedly and without hesitation places her hands on his badly decomposed neck. She focuses on him with total love and concentration. Staining at him sending him all her love all her strength all her energy. Livvie watches praying that this works. Suddenly a bright and worm light appears. It is soft and gentle and filled with love but very bright and bold. The light streams over Rafe in his coffin and slowly magically Rafe's decomposed body starts re composing. 
Livvie: Oh My God it's working! 
Alison doesn't move her entire being focused on Rafe. Suddenly the light is gone and Rafe appears to simply be sleeping. 
Livvie: Alison? 
Alison with shaking hands feels for a pulse 
Alison: Oh My God he has a pulse! 
Rafe moves Alison jumps seeing this. 
Alison: Rafe! 
Alison strokes his face 
Alison: Rafe open your eyes! 
Livvie: Come on Rafe wake up! 
Rafe's eyes flutter open Alison is over come with joy 
Alison: Rafe! 
Alison throws her arms around him and hugs him to her tightly 
Rafe: What, what happened? Where where am I? 
Rafe looks around trying to put it all together. 
Alison: Rafe you're alive! 
Rafe looks at Alison 
Rafe: I'm, I'm alive? 
Alison nods with tears streaming down her face. 
Livvie: Yep seems Alison's plan worked Rafe you are alive. 
Rafe starts laughing and crying at the same time 
Rafe: Oh My God I'm alive! 
Rafe grabs Alison and hugs her to him tightly. They hold on to each other as if there very lives depend on it. 
Livvie: Uh guys not that I don't love this reunion but this looks really wired and the grounds keeper could come by any minute. 
Alison and Rafe pull back and laugh a little 
Alison: Good point 
Rafe: Yeah that might be a little hard to explain. 
Alison: Without ending up in a straight jacket 
They all three start laughing. Then Livvie helps Alison out of the coffin and then they help Rafe out. 
Alison: So how dose it feel to be alive after ten years? 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Wonderful 
Rafe pulls Alison in to his arms 
Rafe: And I have you to thank for this. Without you none of this would be happening. Alison I love you with every fiber of my being and I plan to spend the rest of my life showing you just how much I love you. 
Alison smiles as she wraps her arms around him 
Alison: I think I can live with that. I love you Rafe more then you'll ever know 
They kiss tenderly. Then all three head out 
Livvie: You think anyone is going to notice that two people came and three are leaving. 
They all laugh
Alison: Yeah but I doubt they'll ever guess what happened. 
Rafe: Yeah I mean, who would guess this. 
Livvie: Someone that believes in the power of love that's who. You know Alison I think Rafe coming back wasn't just about him giving you the power, or you believing you could. I think there was a test involved. 
Alison: What do you mean? 
Livvie: Well, Alison lets face it Rafe wasn't looking all that attractive when you opened the coffin a lot of people wouldn't have been able to look much less tutch no matter how much they loved the person. But you you tutched and tutched and looked and looked. You showed that your love for him is very deep and very true. You showed that it has no limits and that you love Rafe for who he is inside. You showed that tonight. You didn't see what I saw all you saw was the man you love. I think that's why the miracle happened. 
Rafe and Alison look at each other lovingly as they climb into the car. 
Alison: Well, I do love him and you're right there is nothing that could make me love him less. 
Rafe: Same here I love you Alison no matter what. 
Livvie: And that's why the miracle happened. Because you have true love on yourside. So where are we going now? 
Alison looks at Rafe 
Rafe: Port Charles 
Alison smiles 
Alison: Home 
Livvie: Sounds good to me 
The three some happily head home.

Livvie, Alison, and Rafe arrive safely in Port Charles and get into Livvie's car. 
Rafe: I can't believe I'm really back here. 
He looks at Alison lovingly 
Rafe: And it's all thanks to you my angel. 
Alison smiles wrapping her arms around Rafe 
Alison: Well believe it my love you are home, and your angel intends to keep you right here in her arms forever. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Is that a promise? 
Alison smiles 
Alison: Oh yeah 
They kiss tenderly. Livvie smiles and shakes her head. 
Livvie: So where to? 
Rafe: Well, I don't know about Alison but a hot shower sounds really nice 
Alison smiles 
Alison: I'm sure after being in the ground for ten years a shower does sound nice. 
They all laugh 
Livvie: Okay I'll drop the two of you off at Lucy's house. 
Alison: Sounds good 
Rafe: I can't wait to see my cousin again. She is so wonderful and now that I'm alive again we can build a real family relationship. 
Alison: I'm sure she'll want that to. 
Alison smiles 
Livvie: Well you may have to wait a little bit. My Dad took her Serena and Christina on a special vacation that he's been promising her. He told me where but I'm not remembering right now where he said. 
Alison: Oh well I'm sure they'll be back soon. And what a great surprise to have her cousin waiting for her. 
Rafe: Yep, we have plenty of time now. 
Livvie smiles 
Livvie: So Rafe aside from a shower what else did you miss that you'd like to do today? 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Taste food 
Alison: Tsste food 
Rafe nods 
Rafe: When you're dead you can't taste you can eat but you don't taste it. 
Alison: Oh wow that's interesting 
Livvie: What would you like to eat first? 
Rafe thinks 
Rafe: A cheese burger, fries, a pickle, root bear, and a piece of chocolate cake. 
Livvie&Alison: The recovery room. 
They all laugh 
Just then they pull into Lucy's drive way. 
Livvie: Okay look you two shower and rest up and when you're ready to go to the recovery room let me know. 
Alison: Sounds like a plan 
Rafe: Lucy's spare key is still in the flower pot right? 
Livvie nods 
As they get out of the car. 
Livvie: Bye you two 
Rafe: Bye Livvie see you later. 
Alison: Bye Livvie oh and thanks for everything. 
Livvie smiles 
Livvie: Anytime 
Livvie drives off. Alison and Rafe happily go inside. 

Lucy, Kevin, Serena and Christina are waiting in their hotel room for word from Victor. Mom do you think Rafe lives in a cave? That would be so cool! 
Lucy laughs well that would certainly be different. 
Kevin: Well he must live somewhere pretty hidden that's for sure. 
Lucy: I know I can't wait to see it. I bet it's very unusual. 
Serena: How did you find him last time? 
Lucy: Well, sweetheart he actually found us. How I'm not completely sure but he did. 
Just then the phone rings. Kevin grabs it. 
Kevin: Hello? 
Victor: Uh hi Kevin it's me. 
Kevin: Oh hey Victor so what did you find? Do you have a number for us? 
Victor hesitates Kevin seances something is wrong 
Kevin: Victor everything okay? 
Victor: Uh well not really. I mean, I was able to find out about Rafe but what I found out. . . 
Kevin lowers his voice to a whisper. 
Kevin: Victor what's going on what did you find out? 
Victor takes a deep breath 
Victor: Rafe Coevich died almost 11 years ago. 
Kevin gasps he continues to whisper. 
Kevin: But that's impossible! He was in Port Charles for months. Are you sure your buddy checked the right Rafe Coevich? 
Victor: Unfortchunitly I'm positive. The only Rafe Coevich in Transilvianya that was even close to the age Rafe was died 11 years ago. The only explanation I can think of is that the man you know as Rafe well that 
Kevin: That he's an impostor who has stolen Lucy's cousins identity and God only knows what else. 
Victor: What do you mean? 
Kevin: Victor the Coevich family is royalty. If this guy stole Rafe's identity my guess is he also stole some of Rafe's money. After all Lucy is the only other Coevich and she knew nothing about her family. So it would have been very easy 
Victor: For this man to get away with taking the Coevich money without anyone knowing 
Kevin: Exactly. 
Victor shakes his head 
Victor: It really is hard to process he seemed like such a nice man. 
Kevin: Yeah well that's a con artist for you. Thanks Victor 
Victor: You're welcome, oh and give Lucy my love 
Kevin: Will do and thanks again Victor. 
They hang up he turns and sees Lucy's stairing at him. 
Lucy: Okay doc what gives? What did Victor say? 
Kevin takes a deep breath and moves over to Lucy 
Kevin: He said to give you his love. 
Lucy: About Rafe 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: Lucy I don't know how to tell you this but 
Kevin takes a deep breath 
Kevin: But the man who we thought was Rafe was nothing more then a con artist. 
Lucy: What?! 
Kevin: Lucy, Victor's buddy's in the government ran a very therow search on Rafe Coevich. And the only Rafe Coevich they could find who lived in Transilvianya and who was about the right age died 11 years ago. 
Lucy gasps 
Lucy: No, no that that can't be! Rafe is alive he was in my home! 
Kevin takes Lucy's hands in his. 
Kevin: No, Lucy that was an impostor who had stolen your cousins identity. 
Lucy: But why? Why would someone do such a thing? 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: Lucy your family is royalty they have loads of money. And you are the last Coevich. 
Lucy sighs 
Lucy: And I didn't even know it. So the estate was left unguarded giving this man the opportunity to get ahold of my family's money. 
Lucy shakes her head sadly as tears begin to race down her face. 
Lucy: My poor cousin dead all this time with no one to morn him because someone else had stolen his identity. 
Kevin holds her close 
Kevin: I know I know it's going to be okay 
Lucy pulls herself together and pulls back 
Lucy: You're right it is. Because I'm going to expose that filthy con artist for the thief he is! I don't care how wonderful he treated me the fact is he's a con artist who has hurt my family and in the name of Coevich as well as my late cousin Rafe I will see justice done! 
Serena: What are you going to do? 
Lucy: We are going to the library. My family was so prominent and with Rafe being the last vampire slayer in town I'm sure there must have been a big article on his death. We'll make a copy go back to Port Charles and blow that con right out of the water. 
Kevin: Sounds like a plan. 
Serena: Shouldn't we go to Rafe's grave first to say good-bye? 
Lucy: Yes, but I first want to get the article in hand come on. 
Lucy picks up Christina who is still sleeping Kevin grabs their bags and they all leave. 

Livvie goes into the house her and Jack share. 
Livvie: Jack, I'm home are you here? 
Jack comes out from the kitchen smiling. 
Jack: Hey you 
He pulls her into a long and tender kiss. 
Livvie smiles 
Livvie: Hey yourself 
Jack: I missed you last night that old bed was just not the same without you. 
Livvie smiles 
Livvie: I missed you to. 
Livvie kisses him again then goes and plops down on the couch 
Livvie: Oh what a night. 
Jack: So did Alison get her problem solved? 
Livvie smiles thinking of the wonderus mirical and buetiful reunuion she just got to be wittness to 
Livvie: Yes, everything is perfect now. Rafe is back in town and him and Alison are on solid ground. 
Jack sighs and shakes his head plopping down in a chair. 
Jack: You know Livvie I know you're Alison's friend and all. And I think it's great how you are always there for her but don't you feel just the least bit bad for Jamual. I mean, because of Rafe Jamual lost Alison and he's our friend to. 
Livvie sighs 
Livvie: Rafe was not the only cause of what happened with them and if you ask me he wasn't even the biggest. 
Jack: You mean Valerie? 
Livvie: Well, she certainly didn't help matter. And it isn't like Rafe deliberatly tried to break them up. That would be Valerie who did that. 
Jack sighs 
Jack: Yeah I know but still. 
Livvie: But no she's not the big reason either. 
Jack looks confused 
Jack: Then what is? 
Livvie: They fell out of love Jack. If Jamual and Alison had truly been still inlove Rafe and Valerie couldn't have come between them. And even if they had been able to just like with us they would have found their way back to each other. But the fact is the couldn't and if you recall they didn't even want to. They both saw that they had drifted apart and weren't really inlove anymore. Alison wanted to give Jamual his freedom so he could find a woman to love him the way she no longer did, and Jamual wanted Alison to be happy. He also wanted to be a family with Valerie for Hope's sake. Now I'm not getting into whether that was right or wrong. But it is what happened. Besides it's not like they hate each other. They are still on fairly good terms. 
Jack nods 
Jack: Yeah that's true. I guess it's just hard to believe they aren't together anymore. They always seemed so right for each other. You know when I first came to Port Charles they inlisted my help just so they could stay together. 
Livvie smiles 
Livvie: I remember hearing about that. You really came through for them 
Jack shrugs 
Jack: They needed help and I didn't want to see such a great couple torn apart. 
Livvie nods 
Livvie: Yeah they really were. 
Jack: So how did they loose that? 
Livvie sighs 
Livvie: I don't know I guess sometimes things that seem so meant to be aren't. 
Jack: I guess. 
Livvie smiles and walks over to Jack she sits on his lap. 
Livvie: Now us on the other hand we are very meant to be and will last. 
Jack smiles 
Jack: Is that a promise? 
Livvie: Oh yeah 
They kiss. 

Alison is busy in the kitchen when Rafe finely emerges from his long hot shower. He puts on a robe and comes to the kitchen He watches Alison quietly so happy to be alive and with her. Alison sensing someone in the room turns and smiles 
Alison: Well hello there. 
Alison walks over to him and wraps her arms around him and kisses him tenderly as he holds her close 
Alison: Did you have a good shower? 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Wonderful. So what are you up to out here? 
Alison smiles leading him over to the table. 
Alison: Well it's to early for a burger. But I'm sure you're hungry so I made you a special breakfast. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: You didn't have to do this. 
Alison: I wanted to. Now we have eggs, bacon, grape fruit, coffee orange juice, and toast. Oh I put out several kinds of jelly so you can try all of them. 
Rafe: sounds, smells and looks great 
Alison: So it's time to taste it. 
Rafe sits down and begins to eat. The foot is very good and a huge smile spreads across Rafe's face as tears come to his eyes 
Rafe: God I love being alive. 
Alison smiles 
Alison: And I love you being alive. 
Rafe continues to eat savoring every bite. He suddenly notices that Alison is just stairing at him 
Rafe: What? 
Alison smiles 
Alison: I just love watching you. It's one of my new favorite hobbies you know. 
Rafe chuckles 
Rafe: Really? 
Alison nods 
Alison: Especially, when watching you means seeing you rediscover the simple pleasures of life. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: And without you none of this would be possible. You want to know my new favorite hobbie? 
Alison: Sure what is it? 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Loving you. 
Alison: Awww well loving you is pretty high up there on my list of favorite things to do as well. 
They lean towards one another and kiss softly. 

Lucy and Kevin search through news clipping at the library while Serena and Christina wander around. 
Lucy: Doc? 
Kevin: Did you find something? 
Lucy: No, no nothing yet. I was just thinking about Rafe. Do you think the man pretending to be him is the one who killed him? Do you think I've been letting a cold blooded killer live under the same roof as me? 
Kevin shakes his head 
Kevin: I don't know. I really hope not but I just don't know. 
Lucy shakes her head sadly 
Lucy: Boy oh boy did he have me fooled. 
Kevin: He had all of us fooled 
Lucy: But Doc one thing I don't get is if he isn't a Coevich then how did he know how to defeat Caleb. And why was he so loving and caring towards all of us 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: I don't know. I mean how to kill Caleb well he could have learned a thing or to from pretending to be Rafe. Remember he's been pretending for over a decade now. 
Lucy nods 
Lucy: And maybe he heard I was in town and decided he better convince me he was my cousin so I wouldn't become suspicious. 
Kevin nods 
Kevin: Could be. 
Lucy: Oh Doc wait! I think I found something! 
Kevin: What is it? 
Kevin stands and looks over Lucy's shoulder. 
Lucy: It's a news article back from 91 when Rafe dies. 
Lucy reads aloud. 
Lucy: COEVICH PRINCE SLAIN 
While attempting to rescue a young Transilvianya native from Caleb Mollery, the last remaining vampire in Transilvianya, Rafe Coevich the last known member of his family was caught off guard. Caleb Mollery took the opertunity to grab the mighty Coevich swored and stabbed the young prince streight through the heart. Prince Coevich was pronounced dead at the scene. God Save Us All. 
Kevin: Wow sounds like when you helped bring down Caleb you also avenged your cousins death and saved this town. 
Lucy: Yeah, yeah I guess I did. But Doc my poor cousin stabbed with his own sword! I I can't even imagine. 
Kevin: And then to add insult to injury some con man steels his identity. 
Lucy: Oh wait I think I found a picture of my cousin 
Lucy scrolls down and both Lucy and Kevin gasp in disbelief. 
Lucy: Oh My God, that that can't be him! 
Kevin: He is identical to the man pretending to be him. 
Lucy: But how? I mean, I know plastic surgery is good but. . . 
Kevin shakes his head 
Kevin: I doubt it could be that good. 
Lucy: So what does this mean? 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: I don't know but I think it's time we got ourselves and this article back to Port Charles. Maybe we can make some sense of this there. 
Lucy nods in agreement. 
Lucy: Lets go. 
They copy the article and picture round up the kids and head out. 

Jamual and Frank are sitting at the bar at the recovery room talking 
Frank: So how have you been getting along? 
Jamual shrugs 
Jamual: I'm okay. I mean, yeah it feels weird not to have Alison in my life but it's for the best. 
Frank: You sure about that? 
Jamual nods 
Jamual: You know all love looks the same in the beginning. So you really can't tell what is or isn't meant to last. I really thought Alison and I were but we weren't. 
Frank: You could always fight for her, you know make it last 
Jamual: What would I be fighting for? We don't love each other anymore. She is in love with Rafe. And I'm building a life with Valerie. 
Frank: Can you honestly look me in the eye and tell me you don't love Alison anymore? 
Jamual: Love her? Sure I'll always love her she's an amazing person. But I'm not in love with her man and she's not inlove with me. We want different things. And right now what I want is to be a good father and provider for my daughter. 
Frank: So you're in love with Valerie? 
Jamual shakes his head 
Jamual: No, but hey she's a great girl and who knows one day I might. Besides I'm not doing anything different then you did when you were with Courtney. I mean, come on Frank can you honestly say you were in love with that shrew? 
Frank laughs and smiles 
Frank: No I can't. But I wanted to give Neil the family he deserved.
Jamual: And I want to give Hope the one she deserves. Look know one has done anything wrong here. Rafe and Valerie didn't mean to break Ali and I up it just happened. We were already drifting apart before those two even showed up. Rafe loves Alison and Alison loves him. I see a connection between them that Ali and I never had. I want Alison happy and Rafe makes her happy. 
Frank: Okay so you and Alison are done fine but don't you deserve to be happy to? I mean, if Valerie isn't right for you maybe you should find someone who is. I mean, you can be a good father and not be with Valerie you know. 
Jamual sighs 
Jamual: Yeah I know and I may not stay with Val but for now I need to. Hope just got reunited with us and she is still recovering from her kidney transplant. She needs the two of us together front and center for now. Besides I'm not ready for a new relationship. 
Frank nods 
Frank: I understand what you're saying but I think Neil would agree with me when I say that sometimes it's better for the kids for their parents to not be together. 
Jamual nods 
Jamual: True. But Val isn't a horrible person like Courtney. And the fact is we were in love once I mean Hope is proof of that. And I'm not so sure that I won't fall in love with her again. Right now we need to be a family for Hope and I think it's completely possible for more to happen. 
Frank nods 
Frank: Well good luck then. 
Jamual: Thanks man. 
They shake hands. 

Karen, Eve, and Ian are on their way into the recovery room. 
Eve: So what do you and Frank have planned for the day? 
Karen smiles 
Karen: Well, after lunch we are going over to windoms to fill out our wedding registry. 
Eve smiles 
Eve: Wow, sounds nice. So you know everything you're going to ask for? 
Karen nods 
Karen: Yeah pretty much. We're both pretty simple so it won't be to much. 
Eve nods 
Eve: You know Ian and I were thinking of renewing our vows and having a really nice wedding. 
Karen: Oh that sounds nice. I mean, if any one deserves a second wedding it's the two of you. 
Eve: Well third actually I mean come on the one in the labor room was crazy 
They laugh thinking back 
Karen: True very true. 
They look over and see Ian shuffling along. Eve puts her arm through Ian's and kisses his cheek 
Eve: Are you feeling left out? 
Karen: I'm sure this girl talk isn't his cup of tea. 
Ian: Ah nonsense it is always a pleasure to accompany such lovely ladies to the recovery room. Besides Frank is there. 
They all laugh. All the sudden something catches Karen's eye and she stops dead in her tracks 
Karen: Wow, look at that 
Karen points to two perfect pink roses sticking right up out of the snow. 
Eve: What on earth? 
Ian: How can roses be growing this time of the year? 
Karen: I know they are growing right out of the snow and further more I never remember roses growing by the recovery room. 
Eve: That is odd. I mean, they aren't even wilting they are strong and healthy and in full bloom 
Ian: It certainly is unusual. 
Eve and Karen nod in agreement 
Karen: I wonder what it means, 
Eve: Well, I hope what ever it is it's something good. 
Karen nods 
Karen: Me to 
Ian: Well given their beauty and I would assume it is 
Eve: Lets hope so. 
The threesome goes into the recovery room. 

Livvie is cleaning up around the house when the phone rings. 
Livvie: Hello? 
Alison: Hey Livvie it's me. 
Livvie: Oh hi Alison how is Rafe doing? 
Alison: He's doing great. It is so amazing watching him re discover life. 
Livvie smiles 
Livvie: I bet what have the two of you done so far? 
Alison: Well he took a long hot shower and you could tell he really enjoyed it. Then I made him this huge breakfast and he just savored it. It's like watching a baby experience things for the first time. Except he appreciates them all so much more. 
Livvie nods 
Livvie: That must be so cool. You must feel pretty amazing knowing it is because of you he is here experiencing all of this. 
Alison smiles 
Alison: Right now all I'm feeling is grateful that it all worked. 
Livvie: I bet. So what's next on the agenda? 
Alison: Well that's actually why I'm calling. Remember how Rafe was talking about what he couldn't wait to eat again? 
Livvie smiles 
Livvie: Cheese burger, fries, pickle, root bear, and chocolate cake. 
Alison: Yeah well he isn't going to wait any longer. 
They both laugh 
Livvie: Okay, I'll come pick you guys up and we'll head to the recovery room 
Alison smiles 
Alison: Okay great see you soon 
Livvie: bye. 
They hang up. Livvie goes to get her coat as Jack comes in 
Jack: Going out again? 
Livvie: Rafe and Alison need a ride to the recovery room and I am a little hungry myself. 
Jack nods 
Livvie: I'll be back in a bit okay 
Jack nods 
Jack: Okay. 
Livvie rushes out the door. Jack sighs watching her go. Not long after Livvie, Alison and Rafe pool up infront of the recovery room. 
Rafe: Wow I've been here so many times but never really gotten to enjoy this. 
Alison smiles slipping her hand in his as they walk towards the recovery room. 
Livvie: One word of advice try not to act to happy about the burger or people are going to think you're a little odd. 
Rafe: Oh you mean, like I'm an angel brought back to life for something 
They all laugh. Just then Jack races up to them. 
Jack: Hey guys. 
Livvie: Jack what are you doing here? 
Alison: Hi Jack I didn't expect to see you here 
Rafe shifts uncomfortably 
Rafe: Hey Jack 
Jack sighs 
Jack: Well, I was thinking it over and you know Alison you're as much my friend as Jamual is, and well it's important to me that you're happy. I can see Rafe makes you happy and I don't want to loose our friendship so I'd like to call a truths. 
Everyone is surprised. 
Livvie: Oh Jack I new you'd come around 
Livvie hugs him. 
Alison has tears in her eyes 
Alison: Thank you Jack that really means a lot to me. 
They hug. Jack then extends his hand to Rafe 
Jack: Truths? 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Truths. 
They shake hands as the girls watch happily. 
Jack takes a deep breath 
Jack: Okay now that we have that out of the way. What do you say we go inside and get some food? 
Livvie: Sounds good to me. 
Livvie slips her hand into Jack's 
Alison: Yeah it's cold out here lets get inside. 
Rafe nods then stops 
Rafe: Hey look at that 
Rafe points two the two perfect pink roses. 
Livvie: Oh wow! 
Jack: That's so unusual. 
Alison smiles trying to look surprised as shoots Rafe a knowing look 
Alison: They are so beautiful. 
Jack: Do you think it means something? I mean, it's pretty odd to just have them growing like that. 
Alison: Well whatever it is I'm sure it's something good. 
They all nod in agreement and head in. Alison stops Rafe 
Alison: Was that your doing? 
Rafe: I wish it was but I don't have any powers anymore. 
Alison looks surprised but then a smile spreads across her face as a thought occurs to her. 
Alison: Well, maybe it's heaven celebrating our love. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: I like the sound of that. 
They kiss tenderly and then hurry to catch up to Livvie and Jack. 

Mary and Victor are sitting at a table near the back. 
Mary: Oh I just don't believe this! He seemed like such a nice guy. How could he be such a con man? 
Victor sighs 
Victor: Well it looks like he may not be now. But that only makes this whole situation more complicated then ever. 
Mary looks confused 
Mary: I don't understand. I mean, you said Rafe died almost 11 years ago 
Victor: We thought he died but now I'm not so sure. 
Mary: You think the information was incorrect?
Victor: Mary Kevin and Lucy found an article about Rafe dying accompanied by a picture. The picture of Rafe and the man claiming to be Rafe look absolutely one hundred percent identical. 
Mary: Well, couldn't there be some explanation for that? I mean, perhaps they are simply look alikes, or maybe he had plastic surgery. 
Victor: Mary I've thought of both those things and checked on them. The Coevich family was royalty so if anyone did look like one of them it would be known. I've had my people talk to some of the most prominent long standing people in the town he's from as well as others in near by areas. No one has ever seen anyone who looked like Rafe. On top of that when I checked the near by hospitals there is no record of anyone having such drastic plastic surgery 11 years ago. 
Mary: So maybe Rafe didn't die? 
Victor sighs 
Victor: It's one possibility but I don't understand why the records would be so off if that's the case. 
Victor shakes his head in absolute befuddlement. Over at Rafe, Alison, Livvie and Jack's table they are enjoying their meal. 
Rafe: Why do Victor and Mary Collins keep staring over here at us? 
Alison shrugs 
Alison: Maybe they like watching happy couples. 
Livvie: I don't know my Grandpa dosn't look to happy 
Jack: You think something is wrong? 
Just then Kevin, Lucy, Serena, and Christina come into the recovery room. Lucy storms over to the groups table and glares at Rafe accusingly 
Lucy: I think you owe me an explanation and in the name of Coevich I demand and answer! 
Lucy flings the news article at a speechless Rafe as everyone watches in surprise. 

Lucy stands over Rafe glaring at him as Kevin stands beside her with the girls 
Kevin: I really think you do owe us an explanation Rafe 
Livvie realizing Rafe's secret is in danger stands up 
Livve: Why don't we just go back to the light house and we can talk about it there. 
Lucy: I am not going anywhere until I get some answers from this con man! 
Alison stands up slamming her chair down 
Alison: Don't you dare call him that! You owe Rafe Lucy you owe him for more then you can even imagine! 
Eve and Ian come over at this point 
Eve: Hey what's going on? 
Victor and Mary join the group 
Victor: I found out Rafe supposedly died nearly 11 years ago. We thought he was a con but now I'm not so sure. 
Frank and Karen walk over 
Frank: What do you mean? Ether he died or he didn't. 
Mary: But he looks just like Rafe and there is no evidence suggesting that someone ever looked like him or had major plastic surgery to look like him. 
Jack: Well, maybe he didn't die 
Karen: What made you think he was dead anyway? 
Lucy: He's not listed in the phone books, he's not listed in information, we found a magazine article about his death and there is a death certificate! 
Kevin: But the picture does look just like him, and even if someone did have plastic surgery well no surgeon is that good! 
Victor: And there is no evidence of anyone looking like him. 
Jack: Oh My God wait! I think I got it! If he is a vampire slayer maybe he got to close to a vampire! Maybe he was bit like I was! 
Alison: No Jack he is not a vampire! Far from it! 
Livvie: Okay guys listen before you start pulling out the stakes can you please just listen. 
Livvie looks at Alison 
Livvie: We can't keep this secret any longer there is just no way. 
Lucy: You knew! 
Livvie: Lucy will you please just listen to me! If you want answers you're going to have to listen! 
Everyone is silent as Livvie takes a deep breath. 
Livvie: We have seen great evil in this town, and we've also seen it defeated. Now since we believe in evil we have to believe in the opposite which is absolute good. Grandma would you agree that we didn't beat Caleb alone that we had help from above? 
Mary smiles 
Mary: Well I certainly prayed for help. 
Livvie smiles 
Livvie: Well, he heard and he answered all our prayers with the best defense he could offer. He sent us an angel. 
Livvie nods towards Rafe everyone gasps in amazement. 
Livvie: Rafe's mission was to help us defeat Caleb. He had to help us see what was going on, and come together so we could defeat him. Once that was done his mission was to put all the couples back together by Christmas. 
Livvie smiles lovingly at Jack 
Livvie: And he did that to. 
Livvie looks back at the stunned group. 
Livvie: But what was not part of Rafe's mission was falling in love with Alison. 
Alison: We started out friends and our love just kind of grew. Jack you remember that night in the woods when that tree fell on me. 
Jamual who has been listening speaks up 
Jamual: Whoa hold on a tree fell on you? Alison, how is that possible? I mean, you weren't even hurt? 
Alison smiles 
Alison: Actually I was killed 
Everyone gasps 
Jack: Oh My God that's why Rafe sent me running for help! He needed me out of the way so he could bring you back from the dead! 
Alison: Exactly. Now no one was supposed to know that he was an angel. So he had to lie about it. But one day I caught him in the woods bringing a dead bird back to life and I just kind of put it all together. He swore me to secrecy and that was that. But from that point on our bond was sealed, and a deep and real love started growing slowly but growing nonetheless. 
Livvie: I found out who Rafe really was when Rafe confronted Caleb in the woods. I heard them talking about how Rafe wasn't alive. And I to was sworn to secrecy. You see Rafe helped me believe I really could take Caleb down. I'm not sure if I'd have been strong enough other wise. 
Alison: When Rafe had to go back we were both devastated. I mean, we were so much in love and were never going to get to be together. Until I had an idea. To make a long story short Rafe gave me some of his powers then left. Then Livvie and I went to his grave dug him up and using the powers he'd given me I brought him back to life. 
Livvie: We just got back into town a few hours ago. 
Everyone is just starring at each other in stunned silence not really sure what to say. Kevin suddenly notices that Rafe is shaking like a leaf and is as pale as a ghost there are tears sliding down his cheeks as he stairs at the article about his death.. 
Kevin: Rafe? Are you okay? 
Rafe doesn't answer just continues to shake and cry. Lucy reaches out to him worriedly 
Lucy: Hey, cousin it's okay 
Her hand accidentally touches his chest. 
Rafe screams jumps up slamming his chair over 
Rafe: GET AWAY FROM ME!!! 
Kevin sees the glazed look in his eye 
Kevin: Uh oh he's having a flash back! 
Alison: Rafe! 
Alison reaches for him Rafe turns starts to run falls over a chair then lays on the floor crying everyone rushes to him. Rafe tries to get up 
Rafe: NO NO I DON'T WANT TO DIE! GET AWAY GET AWAY! OH GOD HELP ME HELP ME! NO NO NO PLEASE!!! 
Rafe is now scooting across the floor 
Livvie: What's going on! 
Alison reaches out to him and he screams 
Kevin: I think that article triggered a flashback to the night he was killed! Frank go get a sedative out of your rig! 
Frank: I'm on it! 
Frank rushes out as Alison and Lucy try to calm him down 
Lucy: Rafe! Rafe listen to me! 
Rafe: HE HAS MY SWORD HE HAS MY SWORD 
Karen: WE AREN'T GOING TO LET HIM HURT YOU RAFE! 
Alison gets an idea. She leans over Rafe who is now sliding across the floor and holds his face in her hands 
Alison: RAFE IT'S ALISON SEE ME SEE ALISON! I'M NOT GOING TO LET HIM HURT YOU!! I'M HERE EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OKAY! 
Lucy: RAFE YOU AREN'T ALONE LOOK AT ALISON LOOK AT ME! 
Rafe is trembling and crying 
Rafe: I'm scared I'm so scared he's going to kill me! 
Lucy: WE WON'T LET HIM! 
Alison: RAFE I'M GOING TO PUT A SHIELD OVER YOU SO HE CAN'T TOUCH YOU! 
Alison places her hands over his heart. 
Alison: THERE HE CAN'T HURT YOU NOW! YOU HAVE A SHIELD OVER YOUR HEART! 
Rafe: IT WON'T STOP HIM!! 
Eve: YES IT WILL RAFE, YES IT WILL 
Ian gets an idea 
Ian: TRUST IN ALISON'S LOVE JUST LIKE YOU TAUGHT US TO TRUST! 
Frank comes running in 
Frank: I got the seditive! 
Kevin takes it Jack stops him 
Jack: Let me. 
Kevin not having time to argue hands Jack the sereng. Jack gets next to Rafe 
Jack: Hey Rafe! Listen I know how you feel. When Caleb got me I was so scared, so angry. It's going to be okay though we're safe now buddy. 
Alison: Jack's right Rafe everything is okay now. 
Rafe is sobbing and shaking 
Jack makes Rafe look at him as Alison keeps her hands firmly over his chest. 
Jack: Rafe listen to me okay. You are fine you're just having a flash back. I'm going to give you some medicine. It won't hurt you I promise, it's just going to help you relax, okay? 
Jack quickly gives Rafe the drug. Everyone watches as Rafe calms down. 
Rafe: Alison? 
Alison: I'm right here Rafe 
Rafe: Don't let me go 
Alison: Never 
Alison wraps her arms around him. She lifts his head up and holds it against her heart as she drapes her other arm protectively over his chest. 
Alison: I'm never letting you go. 
She holds him as he slowly falls asleep. 
Lucy looks at her cousin and the article laying on the ground. she shakes her head sadly 
Lucy: What did I do? 
Ian and Eve have just arrived home. Ian pays the sitter as Eve goes to check on Danny. Ian plops down on the couch as Eve comes out. 
Eve: Danny is sleeping 
Ian nods 
Ian: That's good. 
Eve sits down next to Ian 
Eve: Pretty amazing day, huh 
Ian: To find out you have not only been living among an angel, but that, that very angel saved your marriage? Yeah, yeah I'd call that pretty amazing. 
Eve: And now that same angel, has been given his life back through love. And is going to get to be with the woman he loves. 
Ian: Well, if anyone would deserve a miracle like that it would be an angel. 
Eve nods in agreement. 
Eve: Yeah, I just feel so bad for him. I mean, did you see how scared and upset he was? I know, it was just a flashback but still. I mean, he's always going to have that memory of Caleb killing him. 
Ian takes her hand 
Ian: Judging by the way Alison and Livvie were standing up for him and the way everyone rallied around to help, I don't think he'll be dealing with those memories alone. 
Eve nods 
Eve: Your right. He is not going to be alone, this town owes him a huge debt and we are all going to rally around him. 
Eve goes to the kitchen and starts getting things out. 
Ian: Whatcha doing? 
Eve: When Alison, Lucy, Kevin, Jack, and Frank were getting Rafe into Kevin and Lucy's car I got to talking to Livvie. Apparently angel's can't taste they can eat but they can't taste. The reason they had brought Rafe to the recovery room was because when they got back home Rafe had said the food he wanted to eat first was a cheese burger, fries and Chocolate cake. Well, he hadn't even completely finished his burger when this went down. So I'm making him a chocolate mouse cake. 
Ian smiles and walks over to Eve 
Ian: That's a great idea. And since It's a cheese burger our angel wants it's a cheese burger our angel will get. Once the cake it done we'll take it over, on the way we can get him a new burger. 
Eve: Great idea. Want to help me bake the cake? 
Ian: Be glad to 
The two of them start happily baking. 

Frank and Karen are at the recovery room talking. 
Frank: Quite an afternoon huh? 
Karen nods 
Karen: You think it was Rafe who got Chris to save me and admit to all the things he'd done? 
Frank: All things considered probably. I mean, it was his job to put us all back together so 
Karen: So I owe him my life and my relationship with you. 
Frank nods taking her hand 
Frank: We both owe him a lot. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have you and if I didn't have you I really don't think I'd want to go on. 
Karen smiles 
Karen: I feel the same way about you. 
They kiss tenderly 
Karen: It sure is unfair though don't you think? I mean, he performs all these miracles for us. Totally puts this town back together and is first day of life he has such a traumatic experience. 
Frank sighs 
Frank: I know, I felt so bad for him. You could almost feel the fear. 
Karen: I can't even imagine what it must of been like 
Frank: But, the important thing is he's alive now and he has Alison. 
Karen nods 
Karen: I just wish there was something we could do for him. You know something to make him feel better, and let him know how much we appreciate him. 
Frank: Well, we could always go see him. 
Karen nods 
Karen: Yeah, I think we should. But I don't want to go empty handed. 
Frank nods 
Frank: Yeah, we should take something. Hey I know! Lets bring him 
Karen: what? 
Frank: Well, one time I saw him writing in this Journal he looked so intense while he was writing but when he was done he seemed so at peace. I think writing his thoughts and feelings down would really help him and I think he enjoys it anyway. So how about a new Journal? 
Karen: That's a great idea! Come on lets go, I saw some really nice ones over at the bookstore. 
Frank: I'm right behind you 
They rush out 

Mary and Victor are walking through a book store looking for a book of poems. 
Mary: Did you talk to Kevin? How is Rafe? 
Victor: He's still sleeping, Alison hasn't left his side. 
Mary shakes her head sadly 
Mary: Poor man. My heart just aches for him. 
Victor sighs 
Victor: I know, I must admit I'm feeling a little guilty. Maybe had I done a little more investigating it all would have come out less dramatically and Rafe wouldn't have had that melt down. 
Mary: Oh sweetheart really there is no way you could have possibly guess this. 
Victor: Well, given all the out there things that have been happening I should have been willing to think illogically. 
Mary: Well, what's done is done. The important thing now is to make Rafe as happy and comfortable this time around as we can. To let him know how loved he is and how thankful we are for all he's done. 
Victor nods 
Victor: Yes, and I'm sure us giving him a job will help 
Mary: Oh definitely. I mean, judging from what I saw and heard Rafe and Alison are going to be settling down together. So, they really need some income. But I also think we need to bring Rafe a gift. You know something tangible. 
Mary spots what she's been looking for 
Mary: Perfect! This poetry book is just right. It's full of soothing, love and joy filled poems to enrich the soul. Just what Rafe needs 
Victor nods 
Victor: A perfect gift. 
They go to by the book then head off. 

Kevin and Lucy are sitting on the couch in Lucy's house, while Serena and Christina play back in Serena's room. Kevin notices how quite Lucy is and takes her hand in his as he sits beside her 
Kevin: Lucy, you okay? 
Lucy looks at Kevin with tears in her eyes 
Lucy: I sure why shouldn't I be Doc? I just caused my cousin, who has done amazing things for me and everyone in this town to have an emotional melt down! Heck I'm feeling great! 
Kevin sighs 
Kevin: Lucy, Rafe's melt down was not your fault. 
Lucy: Doc, how can you say that! I'm the one that threw that awful article in his face, and I'm the one who accidentally touched the exact spot where Caleb stabbed him! 
Kevin: Yes, and accident is the key word there Lucy. Listen to me okay, you had no way of knowing the truth. All the evidence we found indicated that he was a con. You thought you were defending your family. 
Lucy: And instead I hurt my family. 
Kevin: Lucy 
Lucy: And not all of the evidence added up anyway! The information Victor gave us about no one looking like him, or having major plastic surgery should have been a red flag. 
Kevin: A red flag to what? Lucy, this is hardly a conclusion we could have logically come to. 
Lucy: And what about the past months has been logical, huh? Nothing! 
Kevin: But we thought that was over. Lucy, I'm sure Rafe won't hold this against you. He knows you didn't mean to hurt him. I'm sure he'll understand 
Lucy: I'm sure he will but that doesn't really make me feel a lot better. What if he never recovers from his melt down? 
Kevin: Lucy, it wasn't a bad enough melt down that I think we even have to worry about that. It was minor and while I will want to talk to him some, I doubt it will take much. He's alive now and while he has horrific memories once he puts them in the past he'll be just fine and can go on with his second chance. 
Lucy: Oh Doc I hope your right. Poor guy his first day back and all this hits. 
Kevin: Well, in away it's good that it did. By dealing with it right away he won't have it all sneak up on him at a later date. And as for his first day back, well it's not over yet it can still be good. And besides he has the rest of his life to have wonderful days. 
Lucy smiles 
Lucy: You're right and I'm going to do everything I can to make sure his life is truly wonderful. 
Kevin smiles 
Kevin: Well, then with you and Alison both working on that I'd say he's in store for a great one. 
Lucy smiles they kiss tenderly 

Jack and Livvie are sitting in Lucy's kitchen having a bite to eat. 
Livvie: Jack, I'm sorry I didn't tell you but 
Jack takes Livvie's hand in his 
Jack: But you were sworn to secrecy and even if you hadn't been it wasn't your secret to tell. 
Livvie smiles 
Livvie: God you're understanding. 
Jack smiles 
Jack: I love you Livvie, and I don't want to ever be without you. Look, yes trust is very, very important in a relationship but that doesn't mean I have to know everything all the time. Rafe needed you to keep this a secret. And considering his mission I'm sure it helped him for it to be kept quite. 
Livvie nods 
Livvie: I'm not sure what exactly would have happened if everyone would have found out but from what Rafe said it would have been bad. 
Jack: I'm guessing it's just that he wouldn't have been able to do as much or maybe he would have been expected to do more then he could. At any rate I understand. Besides after all the hard work he put into getting all of us back together I'm not about to reck it by getting upset. 
Livvie laughs 
Livvie: Yeah, I think Rafe has dealt with enough today, he doesn't need his work falling apart. 
Jack: Exactly. 
Livvie: You were really good with him at the recovery room. 
Jack shrugs 
Jack: I know what it's like to face off with Caleb, to feel like you're doomed. And Rafe knows that, so I just thought I'd be a calming influence. 
Livvie: I think you were. 
Jack: I think Alison did just as much. 
Livvie nods 
Livvie: Alison and Rafe's love is very powerful. I think it takes care of both of them. 
Jack: Yeah probably. Boy what a compliment to Alison to have an angel fall in love with her. 
Livvie: Yeah, I know. Though I think if you ask Rafe he'll tell you he's the lucky one. 
Jack nods 
Jack: I hope Rafe is going to be okay 
Livvie: My Dad seemed to think he would be. 
Jack: That's good. 
Livvie: speaking of which I think I'm going to go check on Rafe and Alison. 
Jack: Okay 
They kiss tenderly and Livvie heads out. 

Alison lays beside a sleeping Rafe with her head on his chest and her arms wrapped as much around him as she can get. She is not sleeping just listening to the steady beat of Rafe's heart. Rafe's eyes flutter open. He looks around taking in his surroundings then down at Alison. 
Rafe: Alison 
Alison bolts up right 
Alison: Hi there. 
Alison takes his hands in hers 
Alison: How are you feeling? 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Much better. 
Alison sighs with relief 
Rafe gets a worried look on his face 
Rafe: So, everyone knows everything now huh. 
Alison strokes Rafe's face 
Alison: It's okay Rafe. Nothing bad is going to happen, when we were getting you back here to the house people were already talking about how much they care about you and how much you've done for them. And besides your human now so what difference does it make. 
Rafe: I guess. I'm sorry about before. 
Alison: Rafe it's not like you had any control over it don't worry. 
Rafe: Yeah, but I didn't mean to worry you. I don't want you to have to take care of me. 
Alison takes Rafe's face in her hands 
Alison: Hey this is not a one way relationship we take care of each other got it. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Got it. 
They kiss gently 
Alison: Kevin said he wants to talk to you which I think is a good idea. I mean, you obviously have some things to work through 
Rafe nods 
Rafe: When you're dead you don't have to deal with your death. 
Alison nods 
Alison: I can't even imagine what that must have been like for you. 
Rafe: Be grateful you can't. 
Just then there is a knock at the door. 
Alison: Come in 
Livvie enters 
Livvie: Hi is this an okay time. 
Alison: Hey, Livvie yeah come on in. 
Rafe: Hi Livvie. 
Livvie: Oh you're awake! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about telling everyone but there just wasn't any other real option. 
Rafe: I'm better thanks. Don't worry about it, I was there remember I know there wasn't. I hope Jack is okay with the fact that you kept this quite. 
Livvie smiles 
Livvie: Jack and I are fine, Rafe don't worry. In fact his exact words were "after all the hard work Rafe put into getting all of us back together I'm not about to reck it by getting upset." 
They all laugh 
Rafe: Well, tell him I appreciate that. 
Just then there is another knock at the door 
Alison: Come in 
Serena comes in hesitantly 
Rafe: Hey Serena 
Serena: Hi 
Livvie sencing Serena's apprehension puts her arm around her step sister. 
Livvie: Someday huh? 
Serena: Yeah, I mean when I heard Rafe was dead I thought I wouldn't see him again but here he is. 
Alison: Pretty amazing huh 
Serena nods 
Serena: Rafe, uh can I ask you a question? 
Rafe smiles sitting up 
Rafe: Serena you can ask me anything you want. 
Serena: Well, you know my real Mom, Dominique is in heaven, and well since you were in heaven I thought maybe you might know her? 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: I sure do Serena. In fact your Mom is one of the best gardein angels up there. She was named most valuable gardein angel four years in a row! 
Serena: No way! 
Rafe: Yes way. Your Mom is listed among the top five best gardein angels in heaven. She, is very highly respected up there. She's got a tune of friends. 
Serena is just beaming with pride 
Serena: This is so cool! I've got to go tell everyone! 
Serena goes racing out of the room. 
Livvie: Wow is all that true? 
Rafe: Sure is. I know your Mom to Livvie. 
Livvie is stunned 
Livvie: Really? I, I wasn't sure she was up there. 
Rafe smiles at her sympathetically 
Rafe: Livvie, God understands about mental illness he doesn't hold that against people. Besides once she got to heavan she wasn't ill anymore and has become a pretty good angel. 
Livvie smiles 
Livvie: That's so nice. 
Rafe: You know she loves you very much, Livvie. She was just so sick when she was on earth she couldn't show it. 
Livvie nods with tears in her eyes 
Livvie: Thank you. 
Alison stands and hugs her friend. 
Just then Kevin and Lucy come in 
Kevin: Well, it's nice to see you're awake. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Awake and much calmer. 
He looks over and sees Lucy is just kind of standing awkwardly in the door way. 
Rafe: Hey, Lucy come on in. 
Lucy comes over and sits on the bed. 
Lucy: Rafe I am so sorry, I 
Rafe: Lucy, stop. You have nothing to be sorry about. You didn't know, you couldn't have known. You did exactly what any normal person would have done. I don't want you blaming yourself. 
Lucy has tears in her eyes 
Lucy: You were so upset though, and I was responsible for that. 
Rafe: No Lucy, my past was responsible for that. It's not your fault Caleb stabbed me, it's not your fault that article triggered the memories. You are not responsible for any of it, and I want you to stop blaming yourself right now. 
Lucy smiles through her tears 
Lucy: I'll try. 
Rafe holds his arms open and they hug. Kevin clears his throat 
Kevin: Speaking of what happened I think it might be a good idea for Rafe and I to talk. 
Alison goes into protective mode 
Alison: While I agree that Rafe needs that, he may not be ready for that Kevin. He did just wake up. Maybe he should rest some more first 
Rafe smiles at Alison's protectiveness 
Rafe: Alison it's okay, I want to talk to Kevin. 
Alison: Are you sure? 
Rafe nods 
Livvie: Okay, I'm going to see what Jack's doing, just yell if you need anything if you need anything. 
Lucy: Yeah, I should go check on Christina anyway. 
Livvie and Lucy start to leave Alison looks at Rafe uncertain whether she should go 
Rafe: Alison it's okay. 
Alison sighs hugs Rafe and reluctantly leaves. Kevin sits on the edge of the bed so they can talk. 

Rafe: So how do we do this? 
Kevin: Well, I think a good place to start is for you to tell me about your life prier to Caleb killing you. 
Rafe nods 
Rafe: Well, there's not really a whole lot to tell. Most of my family died when I was very young. Slayers and their families don't have very long life expectancies when they are living in a vampire invested area. Anyway by the time I was eight I was alone in the world. So, the master, that's what we called the one that trained the young slayers, the master took me in. He new there was only one vampire left at that point which was Caleb. And he believed that since I was the last known slayer it was my destiny to slay him. So, he started training me intensely. From the time I woke up around 7, till I'd finely go to bed around 11. I'd be studying the ways of vampires, the history of vampires. the different techniques of killing them. I'd have to work out for many hours at a time, I'd have to go through intense karatie training as well. Slayers need every move they can learn so every defense possible I had to learn. I took it very seriously cause I knew that the people in my town were counting on me. My life was preparing to kill Caleb. 
Kevin: You didn't have any friends? You didn't do anything just for fun? 
Rafe shakes his head 
Rafe: My life was training. I did feel lonely sometimes but I always figured once I killed Caleb I could have a life so I just focused on that. 
Rafe shakes his head 
Rafe: Never thought he'd get me first. 
Kevin: Can you tell me about that night? 
Rafe takes a deep breath 
Rafe: Caleb was killing the towns people left and right, he was completely out of control. The master told me the time had come and I could take him. You know when your young you don't always realize what you're walking into. Anyway I grabbed my cross bow and took all my young arrogance, and determination into the woods. I remember thinking I was invincible. Suddenly I felt Caleb close I remember being so excited I couldn't wait to get him! So, I went on following that feeling. Suddenly I heard a woman screaming. I knew Caleb had one of the towns people. So, I started running. I saw Caleb about to kill this young girl I knew. I remember I had a crush on her at the time. I'd always said that once Caleb was dead I might introduce myself to her. Anyway I decided this was great! I'd kill Caleb and get the girl at the same time. So I go charging in there like a cocky idiot and start fighting. I'm not sure exactly how it all happened but somehow my sword ended up on the ground. And before I could grab it Caleb did. The girl ran off so I new she was safe for now. I remember at first thinking I'd be fine. I started using all my defense moves but in the struggle to save the girl I'd sprained my ankle. When I ended up on the ground and he was coming towards me with that sword I new I was in trouble big trouble. 
Rafe rubs his face and takes a deep breath 
Kevin: Take your time Rafe. 
Rafe nods 
Rafe: I don't remember much about the struggle just this sudden and awful pain, then nothing. 
Kevin: What do you remember next? 
Rafe: Waking up in heaven. I was so upset, so angry, so sad. I had wasted my whole life preparing to kill Caleb and he killed me. I remember begging Ed, he was my boss he over sees the angel's, to let me go back. But he said I couldn't. 
Kevin: What did you regret the most? 
Rafe thinks 
Rafe: Not, making friends, I had led such a lonely existence and wasted so much time. 
Kevin: You have a second chance now, what are you going to do differently 
Rafe: Everything. I'm not putting anything off, I'm going to live every day to the fullest and I'm going to make sure I tend to what matters. 
Kevin: Which is? 
Rafe: Friends and family. I won't be making that mistake twice. I've got both now and I intend to savor the time with them. I'm going to live every day like it's my last. 
Kevin smiles 
Kevin: Sounds like a good plan. 
Rafe: Well, it's certainly better then what I did the last time around. I don't blame the master or anything. I mean, that's the way slayers train, and he had never raised a kid before so he didn't know. But I won't be repeating that this time that's for sure. And one day if I get to be a father I'm going to teach my kids how important life is and how it should be treasured. 
Kevin smiles 
Kevin: I'm sure you'll be a great one. Rafe, lets talk about what happened today. 
Rafe takes a deep breath 
Rafe: Well, I'm not really sure. Lucy came in and started yelling then threw that article at me. I remember just starring at it. It was strange, it was like I had been transported back in time to that night. I could still hear everyone and what they were saying but I wasn't really there. You know, I was back in the woods of Transilvainya facing off with Caleb. I'm not sure suddenly in my mind I felt Caleb grab me and suddenly I couldn't even hear the people in the room anymore. I was completely back in the woods. Caleb had that bow and he was going to kill me! 
Rafe is crying. Kevin puts a supportive hand on Rafe's arm 
Kevin: You're okay now Rafe just take a deep breath. 
Rafe takes a deep breath and pulls himself together. 
Rafe: I, I know It just all seems so fresh in my memory right now, so real. 
Kevin: Well, probably because in reality it's the last thing that happened to you. Your body has been resting for years 
Rafe nods 
Rafe: Yeah probably. Anyway the next thing I remember is hearing people yelling. Then I felt someone cover my chest. Caleb kept stabbing at me and I was sure the shield was going to disappear. Suddenly I was back in the recovery room. Alison and Jack were kneeling over me trying to calm me down. I don't think I've ever been quite so happy to see Alison. 
Kevin: I bet. But you know it is in the past now. You're safe and you have a second chance. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Yeah, and I'm not going to waist it. 

Alison is pacing around the living room. 
Alison: What is taking so long in there! 
Lucy: Kevin, is just making sure Rafe is okay Alison, that's all. 
Livvie: Come on Alison why don't you sit down and try not to worry. 
Livvie guides Alison to the couch. 
Alison: I know you think I'm acting silly, but 
Livvie: Hey, that is the man you love in there. I don't think you're acting silly at all. 
Jack: Rafe's going to be fine Alison, I heard Kevin saying before that he didn't think this was anything to get to worried about. 
Alison sighs 
Alison: I know, I know. It's just he was scared and upset. I just 
Lucy: You just want to hold him in your arms forever. I know the feeling. When Kevin had his breakdown all I wanted to do was hold him to me. 
Alison: I think what scares me the most is the fact that Rafe and I are in uncharted waters here. I mean, I really don't think this has ever happened before. 
Livvie: But that doesn't have to be a bad thing. And really once he gets over this little hurtle you'll be in very formilure waters. Rafe's alive Alison he's not an angel anymore. 
Alison: Yeah I know. I guess I just need to be reminded of that every now and then. 
Just then there is a knock on the door. 
Lucy: I'll get it 
Lucy goes to the door and finds Eve and Ian standing there. 
Eve: Uh hi I hope we aren't interrupting anything. 
Lucy: No, no come on in. 
They enter. 
Eve: Hi Livvie, Jack. Oh Alison how is he? 
Alison smiles 
Alison: He's doing okay, he woke up not to long ago and is talking with Kevin right now. 
Ian: Well, I'm sure Kevin will be able to help him. And when he's done in there Rafe can get to this. 
Ian hands Alison a container. 
Eve: We brought him a new cheese burger to make up for the one he didn't finish. Oh and I made him a chocolate cake to. 
Alison smiles 
Alison: Thank you both I'm sure he'll enjoy it. They sit the cake and burger out on the coffee table. 
Everyone stands around not knowing what to say next. 
Ian: So, he put us all back together did he. 
Alison smiles proudly 
Alison: Yep, he's a regular cupid. 
They all laugh. Just then there is another knock at the door. Lucy answers it. It's Frank and Karen 
Karen: Hi, uh sorry to drop in but we wanted to check on Rafe. 
Frank: And give him a present. 
Karen: And of course say thank you for all he's done for us. 
Alison smiles 
Alison: I'm sure he'll appreciate that. Rafe is talking to Kevin right now, he should be out soon. 
They put the gifts on the coffee table 
Frank: So, how does it feel to be loved by an angel 
Alison smiles 
Alison: Wonderful, but he's not an angel anymore he's a real live person. 
Just then the door bell rings again 
Lucy: Boy oh boy this is turning into grand central station. 
Lucy opens the door in comes Mary and Victor 
Mary: Hi everyone, we just wanted to come by and see how the angel is doing? 
Alison smiles 
Alison: Thank you he's doing okay. Kevin's with him right now. Uh also he's not an angel anymore he's a real live person. 
They nod. 
Victor: We, we brought him a gift. 
Mary: Oh yes we wanted to give him something after all he's done for this town. 
Mary hands the gift to Alison who smiles 
Alison: Thank you I'm sure he'll like it 
She puts it on the coffie table. 
Livvie: Well, uh why doesn't everyone just sit down. 
Jack: Can I get anyone anything? 
Just then Rafe and Kevin come in. Alison full of relief runs to Rafe and hugs him tightly 
Rafe: Oh I needed that. 
Alison looks at him closely 
Alison: How did it go? 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Just fine. 
Rafe looks around the room 
Rafe: Hi everyone. 
Alison: They all stopped by to see how you were doing. 
Rafe: That's nice of you thanks. I'm doing much better. 
Eve: Oh we all brought you something to. Livvie mentioned you wanted some Chocolate cake so I made you a chocolate muse cake. It's the best kind of chocolate cake around. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: You didn't have to do that, thank you 
Ian: Non sense you saved this town and all the couples in it. You deserve a lot more then that. Oh, we also brought you a cheese burger since you didn't get to finish your lunch 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Thank you it smells wonderful. 
Alison: You should probably eat the burger before it gets cold 
Rafe nods and sits down to eat. 
Karen: Rafe Frank and I wanted to say thank you and give you something. 
Karen hands Rafe a pretty package Rafe opens it and finds a beautiful journal inside 
Frank: I saw that you had a really old beaten up one, and I thought you might like a new one 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: It's beautiful thank you. I do enjoy writing so this will be nice to have. You really shouldn't have though. It was my pleasure to be able to help. 
Mary: Spoken like a true angel Rafe Victor and I wanted to thank you as well, and give you something 
Mary hands him her package 
Rafe: Thank you 
Rafe opens it and finds the book of poetry. 
Mary: I thought it might help you with some of your memories. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: I love poetry thank you, and I'm sure it will help. 
Victor: We also have an offer for you 
Mary: Oh yes. Since you'll have to be making a living now we thought you might like a job at the recovery room. I know it's small but until you figure out what you want to do it would be income. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: That is a very sweet offer thankyou. But I really don't know much about working at a restaurant. What would I do. 
Victor: Wait tables. It's pretty easy 
Mary: Oh I'm sure you won't have any trouble with it. 
Rafe: Well, okay then I'd love to. 
Mary: Great, now there is no rush you can begin whenever you feel ready. 
Rafe shakes his head with tears in his eyes Alison is worried 
Alison: What's wrong? 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Nothing is wrong Alison, I just didn't know friends like this exsisted. 
Everyone smiles 
Alison: Well you deserve it. 
They hug. 

It is later on the same day, Rafe and Alison are taking a walk. Rafe breaths in the cold fresh air and smiles 
Rafe: I love winter. 
Alison smiles 
Alison: I love any season as long as I'm with you. 
Rafe turns to Alison and pulls her close 
Rafe: I couldn't agree more. 
They kiss tenderly. Then keep walking 
Alison: I'm glad you wanted to take a walk, it was getting kind of crowded back at the house. 
Rafe nods 
Rafe: Yeah, it was. I thought we needed sometime together alone. 
Alison smiles 
Alison: I couldn't agree more. I mean, I love our friends and all don't get me wrong. But being alone with you is very nice. 
Rafe nods in agreement. Soon they come to the bridge. Rafe stops and smiles at Alison. 
Rafe: So I guess this is our place? 
Alison: It is a special spot for us isn't it. I mean, we had our first almost kiss here. 
Rafe: And I gave you the power to bring me back here. 
Alison nods 
Alison: It is a special spot that's for sure. 
Rafe leads Alison to the center of the bridge 
Rafe: All the more reason to be here right now 
Alison looks at Rafe curiously 
Alison: What do you mean? 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Well, I have something important to ask you and this seems like just the right place. 
Alison: Oh, okay. What is it? 
Rafe takes Alison's hands in his 
Rafe: Alison, I love you. I love you more then I ever knew it was possible to love someone. You are everything to me. You know the truth is you didn't just bring me back to life, you gave me life. Because while my heart may have been beating once before I was never really living before you. You have brought me such joy, such peace, such delight in just living. It is the sweetest debt I will ever have to pay. You know if there is one thing I know it's that life is to short and uncertain to pass up on happiness even for a day. And since my happiness revolves around you, there is only one thing I want to do. 
Alison has tears in her eyes as Rafe goes down on one knee. 
Rafe: Alison, will you marry me? 
Alison: Yes! 
Rafe jumps up Alison throws her arms around Rafe and he twirls her around as they cry tears of joy. 
Alison: Oh Rafe I love you so much! of course I'll marry you! 
Rafe gazes lovingly at her and smiles 
Rafe: Thank you for making me the happiest man in the world 
Alison smiles 
Alison: Thank you for making me the happiest woman. 
They kiss tenderly 
 

Rafe and Alison are sitting on the park bench snuggled up together with hot chocolate. 
Rafe: So future Mrs. Coevich 
Alison smiles up at Rafe 
Alison: So Mr. Coevich 
They both giggle. Rafe sighs 
Rafe: God I love that sound 
Alison: What sound? 
Rafe: Laughter. It is one of the most beautiful sounds I think. 
Alison smiles and nods 
Alison: It is a nice sound isn't it. You know Rafe I owe you so much. And I don't me cause you saved my life, or helped my friends though you did both of those things. And I am grateful for that. But, well, you know Rafe for so long I took everything for granted. And I don't mean like money or clothes I mean the stuff that counts. I never gave a second thought to how warm and tasty hot chocolate is, or how nice it is to watch a sun set. I never thought about the enjoyment of laughter or just being near someone. Rafe you have taught me so much about life. About how it should be savored and never ever taken for granted. 
Rafe smiles as he holds Alison close 
Rafe: Most people don't think about those things when they are alive. I sure didn't. But I won't be making that mistake twice. Every second of life is something to be truly cherished. 
Alison: Definitely. Life is so uncertain and we have so much to live for. You have to just grab it while you can. 
Rafe: So how soon you think we can get married? 
Alison laughs 
Alison: Soon. But I would like to have a big beautiful fairy tale wedding. I know it sounds silly but I've always dreamed of having one. 
Rafe: I don't think it sounds silly at all. I think it sounds great. 
Alison: I have an idea. How about if I go talk to my parents and see if they want to help us. I mean, I am their only child I'm sure they will want to be part of this and it would mean a lot to me to have them there. 
Rafe smiles as he brushes a lock of hair out of Alison's face 
Rafe: Anything that means a lot to you means a lot to me. Besides family is on of the most important things in life, they should be part of this. Would you like me to go with you to talk to them? 
Alison: No, I think I want to talk to them on my own. My parents are kind of funny about things sometimes, but once they meet you and see how happy we are they will welcome you with open arms I'm sure. I just want to talk to them first. 
Rafe nods 
Rafe: Okay tell you what you go talk to them and I'll meet you back at the house 
Alison: Sounds good to me. I'll miss you every second I'm gone 
Rafe pulls her close and holds her tightly 
Rafe: I'll miss you more 
They kiss tenderly. Then Alison heads off to see her parents as Rafe watches her go lovingly. 
A little while later Rafe is wondering through the grocery store 
Rafe: Okay I can do this. I mean, hey how hard can it be to cook right? I'll just buy a few things and go home and whip up a wonderful meal for Alison and I. I mean, sure I have never cooked before but hey I'm a trained vampire slayer surely I can cook a meal. 
Rafe laughs at himself nervously 
Rafe: Not that I was very good at that. I mean, I ended up dead for ten years. But, but this has go to be easier. Yes, I'm sure I can do this all I have to do is figure is figure out what to buy. 
Rafe looks around in befuddlement at all the choices. Just then he senses someone behind him. Rafe whirls around and finds Victor standing there. 
Victor: Oh, hi, I hope I didn't startle you but I saw you over here muttering to yourself and you looked rather confused. Is there anything I can help you with. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: Hi Victor, yeah maybe. I want to make Alison a really special dinner tonight but well I'm kind of a beginner at all of this. Any suggestions on what I should make? 
Victor considers this. 
Victor: Well, sometimes what makes a meal special is how unique it is. 
Rafe nods. Victor lights up 
Victor: I have the perfect recipe for you! 
Rafe: Really? What? 
Victor: Dishwasher Salmon! 
Rafe looks at Victor oddly 
Rafe: Dishwasher Salmon? 
Victor nods smiling 
Victor: Oh yes it's quite good and very easy to make. I'll write down the recipe for you. 
Victor pulls out a pen and paper and quickly scribbles it down. He hands the recipe to Rafe triumphantly 
Victor: There you go the perfect recipe for a special meal. 
Rafe takes the paper appreciatively and smiles 
Rafe: Thanks Victor 
Victor smiles 
Victor: Anytime my friend. Well, I need to go finish my own shopping now. Have a good evening. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: You to Victor, and thanks again. 
Victor smiles and goes on his way. Rafe looks down at the recipe. 
Rafe: Wow things sure change in ten years. My last time around dishwashers were for dishes. 
Rafe shrugs and moves off to get what he needs. 

Alison waits in the living room of her parents mansion. 
Maid: Your parents will be with you soon Miss. Alison 
Alison smiles 
Alison: Thank you Maria. 
Maria leaves Alison takes a deep breath and looks around the room. 
Alison: Boy, I never realized how big and empty this place is. 
Alison smiles 
Alison: I guess I'm used to a more warm and cozy envierment now. 
Just then Alison's parents walk in 
Patricia: Well, hello there Alison the maid said you wanted to see us? 
Nathaniel: What ever it is I hope it's quick we really don't have time for this. 
Alison smiles at her parents lovingly and goes to them 
Alison: Oh Mother, father it's so great to see you 
She tires hugging them but they both pull back 
Patricia: Really, Alison this dress is new I don't want it getting wrinkled. Besides aren't you a little old for hugs? 
Nathaniel: Yes, and time is money as you know so please tell us what you want. 
Alison tries to hide her hurt. 
Alison: Well, I have wonderful news that I couldn't wait to share with you. 
Patricia: Oh let me guess you've decided to give us the money your grandmother is planning to leave you in her will. 
Patricia and Nathaniel laugh Alison takes a deep breath unwilling to let them hurt her. 
Alison: No, but if there was ever a time when you needed me to help, you know I would. I mean, you're my parents I love you. 
Nathaniel: Foolish child love will not get you far in life. The only way to get ahead is with money and power. 
Patricia: Yes, something your father and I have worked very hard to achieve. 
Alison shakes her head 
Alison: Well, I guess for some that is true. But all I need is love. 
Nathaniel: Well, then what on earth do you want from us? Why are you here? 
Alison tries to hide the building hurt. 
Alison: I have fallen head over heals in love with a wonderful man and we are getting married. Isn't that wonderful. 
Patricia and Nathaniel look at each other and then back at her with a strange look. 
Patricia: I thought you said you didn't want our money? 
Alison: I don't 
Nathaniel: Then why are you asking us to pay for your wedding! That is why you are here isn't it to take more of our money! 
Alison's hurt is starting to show 
Alison: No! No, that's not it at all. I wanted to share my good news with you! You're my parents and I thought you'd be happy for me! 
Patricia laughs 
Patricia: The only thing that would make me happy is if you weren't our daughter. You know, your senile old grandmother maybe willing to forgive and forget that you turned on us to be with that no account street thug, but your father and I feel that is reason enough why we shouldn't have to deal with you anymore. Why should we have to put up with your foolishness when you walked out and turned your back on your family. For what? Some roll in the hay with a looser? Even your grandmother is finely starting to see what a pathetic looser you are, valuing love over money. 
Patricia laughs and shakes her head. 
Patricia: There for I see no reason why we must continue to pretend to care about you any longer. 
Nathaniel: Patricia! 
Patricia: No Nathaniel I've had more then enough! I am tired of this game we have been playing! Your mother has messed up our lives enough! Now we have our own money and our own power I will not be chained into this agreement any longer. Alison we never wanted a child. Why would we want something that would take away our money? But your grandmother being the selfish woman she is wanted a grandchild so badly that she forced us into it. She told us that if we didn't give her at least on grandchild she'd disinherit us and leave us with nothing. Well, now we weren't about to lose all that money so we grit our teach and had you. Now, I am sick and tied of spending money on you, and we will not be giving you one red cent more. So you just run along and get married on your own. 
Alison is staring at them in shock as tears threaten to start flowing. 
Alison: That, that isn't true, it it can't be. Father? 
Nathaniel: It is Alison and as much as I hate to disappoint mother I think it's time the truth came out. Now, since you are marrying I see no reason that you need anything more from us. Your husband can be responsible for you now. 
Alison: But, but I never wanted any of your money! Only your love! That's all I ever asked for from you! 
Nathaniel: As your mother said you are a looser. To want love over money makes you an embarrassment to this family. And besides whether you meant to or not you did take our money. Now I think it's time you left. 
Patricia: Yes, please leave Alison we really are busy. 
Alison looses it 
Alison: I cannot believe the two of you! You have got to be the cruelest, most stuck up, most heartless people I've ever met! I am your daughter! Your own flesh and blood! How can that mean so little to you! You are both hateful awful people. 
Patricia hits Alison as hard as she can. Alison falls to the couch holding her face crying 
Patricia: I will not be spoken to like that in my own home! Not get out! 
Alison is shaking and crying as she stands up 
Alison: How can you look at yourselves in the mirror! 
Nathaniel: Leave now! 
Nathaniel grabs her by the arm and practically flings Alison across the room. She falls into a huge plant and slams her face against the wall. Alison stands up and runs from the house crying. 

Rafe is now back at the house trying to make dinner for him and Alison. 
Rafe: Okay, I think I got everything I need here. I better check the list once again. 
Rafe pulls out the recipe 
Rafe: salmon fillets, aluminum foil, a lemon, and a few butter pats. Okay, lets get this show on the road. 
Rafe quickly gets to work. 
Rafe: Okay now to cook it. 
Rafe looks down again at the recipe. 
Rafe: Place the foil packet in the top wire basket of your electric dishwasher. Close the dishwasher door, set the dishwasher on the hottest wash cycle, complete with drying cycle, and let it run through a full cycle. 
Rafe shakes his head 
Rafe: This is so strange. I had no idea how much had changed since I was alive. I wonder what we do with ovens now? 
Rafe shrugs and puts the fish in the dishwasher. 
Rafe: I wonder if I'm supposed to add dishwashing soap? 
Rafe looks around and sees some 
Rafe: Well, It doesn't say not to, so I guess I do. 
Rafe pours some in and starts the dishwasher. Rafe looks around 
Rafe: Well, now to set up the dinning room. 
Rafe goes and gets candles, and starts making the dining area look very romantic. All of the sudden Rafe notices the smell of smoke in the air. 
Rafe: Where is that smoke coming from? 
All of a sudden the smoke alarm goes off. 
Rafe: Oh no, the fish! 
Rafe goes racing into the kitchen. There is smoke and small sparks coming from the dishwasher as soap pours out of it. Rafe grabs the fire extinguisher and starts spraying it all over the dishwasher. Then he goes and opens up the windows to let all the smoke out. He then looks at the dishwasher and the soap all over the floor. He shakes his head and sighs 
Rafe: Oh nice going Rafe not only did you just reck the dinner you were making for Alison, you broke your cousins dishwasher and made mess! I better call Lucy. 
Rafe grabs the phone and dials. 
Lucy: Hello? 
Rafe: Lucy, it's me. 
Lucy: Oh, hi Rafe how is everything. 
Rafe laughs nervously 
Rafe: Oh it's been better. 
Lucy: Uh oh what's wrong? 
Rafe looks at the mess and shakes his head. 
Rafe: I wanted to make this great dinner for Alison tonight to celebrate our engagement but it's a complete disaster. 
Lucy: You're engaged? Oh Rafe that's wonderful congratulations 
Rafe: Thanks. But the meal is a disaster and I think I broke your dishwasher. 
Lucy: Why what happened? And what does my dishwasher have to do with it? 
Rafe sighs 
Rafe: Well I was at the store trying to figure out what to cook. And well see I have never cooked before. Anyway I bumped into Victor and he gave me this recipe for salmon in a dishwasher. 
Lucy: Salmon in a dishwasher? 
Rafe: Yeah. Things sure have changed since I was alive, we never cooked in those back then. 
Lucy laughs 
Lucy: Rafe we still don't. What you have to know about Victor is he's a wonderful wonderful man but he is a bit on the odd side. 
Rafe: Oh. 
Lucy shakes her head 
Lucy: So what happened 
Rafe: Well, the dishwasher kind of blew up and there is soap all over the floor and I still don't have anything to make for Alison. 
Lucy is trying very hard not to laugh. 
Lucy: Okay, don't worry. I will be right over. We'll clean up the mess and I'll help you make a wonderful meal for the two of you okay? 
Rafe sighs with relief 
Rafe: Thanks Lucy I really appreciate it. And I'm sorry about your dishwasher. 
Lucy shakes her head 
Lucy: Don't worry about it I'll be right over. 
Lucy hangs up grabs her coat and purse and runs out the door. 

Back at The Barringtons Patricia and Nathaniel are getting ready for dinner. As they do Ed watches from his office far above with a most disgusted look on his face. He shakes his head and sighs 
Ed: Please forgive me but I simply cannot let this slide. Not after what I just saw. 
Ed looks back down at the Barringtons and snaps his fingers. All of a sudden the hem comes out of Patricia's dress. When she turns she trips on it and falls messing up her nails which are still drying. 
Patricia: Oh no! My Dress! I just got this dry cleaned! Oh my nails!! They are ruined! Nathaniel help me!!! 
Nathaniel turns to come help his wife 
Ed snaps his fingers again and the foot rest on one of the chairs in their bed room springs up just in time to trip Nathaniel and send him falling on the ground 
Nathaniel: Oh great I just had these pants pressed! 
Patricia is struggling to get up 
Ed: Not so fast 
He snaps his fingers again. The heal of Patricia's shoe suddenly gets stuck in the front strap of her other one causing her to step on her own foot. 
Patricia: Owww Nathaniel get off the ground and help me you cluts! 
Nathaniel: Oh I'm coming quit your whining! 
Ed: oh I don't think so. 
Ed snaps his fingers again. Nathaniel reaches to put his hand on the dresser to help pull himself up as the pre dinner glass of wine he was drinking mysteriously moves to the edge of the dresser. When his hand touches the dresser the wine spills all over him 
Nathaniel: DAMIT! What the hell is going on around here! 
Ed smiles 
Ed: What's going on here is that your daughter is very loved by some people upstairs. 
Ed smiles proudly at his work as Patricia and Nathaniel fumble to get themselves together. 

Rafe and Lucy are having a great time cooking in the kitchen together. 
Rafe: Well, I have to admit Salmon in vodka cream sauce with green peppercorns, definitely sounds a whole lot better then salmon in a dishwasher. 
Lucy: I bet it does 
They both laugh 
Rafe: I thought it sounded odd but Victor made it sound like such a good idea. 
Lucy: Yeah, that's Victor for you. Please don't get me wrong he's a wonderful man and I love him dearly. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body his heart is absolute gold and he truly is like a father to me. But some of his ideas 
She shakes her head and they both laugh 
Rafe: So it's not a real recipe? 
Lucy: Oh it may very well be a real recipe, in fact it probably is. But it's not one I'd want to try. 
Rafe: Well, thanks for coming over and helping and again I really am sorry about your dishwasher. 
Lucy: Not a problem. 
Just then they here the front door open. 
Rafe: That must be Alison. 
Rafe and Lucy go into the living room. Alison is standing in the middle of the living room. Her face bruised as tears race down her cheeks. When she sees Rafe she goes charging into his arms. 
Alison: Rafe! 
Rafe holds her tight stunned to say the least as she sobs uncontrollably in his arms. 
Rafe: Angel what is it? What happened? 
Alison tries to regain some of her composure and pulls back. Rafe then gets a good look at her bruised face. His hands gently touch the huge bruise on her cheek and lightly examen her swollen eye. Rafe is visibly concerned. 
Rafe: Alison sweetheart what happened to your face. 
Lucy: Come to the kitchen, we'll get some Ice on your face. 
Rafe gently guides Alison to the kitchen as she continues to cry. 
Rafe: Are you hurt anywhere else angel? Please talk to me. 
Alison sits at the kitchen table Rafe holds her hands in his 
Rafe: What happened? 
Alison: I'm okay, I guess I just 
Alison shakes her head. Lucy brings over some ice. 
Rafe: Thanks Lucy. 
Rafe gently places the ice on Alison's face. 
Alison: I went to see my parents. Rafe they hate me! They told me the only reason they had me was so that my Grandmother wouldn't disinherit them. They never really wanted kids but they were afraid of loosing money so they had me. 
Lucy: Oh, that, that can't be true. 
Alison: Oh it's true all right. They think I'm a burden and are happy I'm getting married so that they don't have to spend one more red cent on me. they told me they won't be pretending to care about me anymore. That they don't want me around ever again and that I'm not going to get any money out of them. I told them I didn't want their money only their love. But, but they said I was stupid to think love important. Then they hit me and threw me out! 
Rafe's rage blows 
Rafe: THEY HIT YOU!! 
Rafe knocks his chair over when he stands. 
Lucy grabs her cousins arm 
Lucy: Rafe Listen to me, okay just listen. Alison dose not need you going off half cocked she needs you here with her holding her and comforting her. 
Rafe takes a deep breath 
Rafe: You're right, you're right. 
Rafe hugs Alison 
Rafe: It's their loss angel not yours. You deserve so much better. And I intend to give you the world. 
Alison: It's not the fact that they don't want to help pay for the wedding that upsets me. It's the fact that they don't love me and don't want anything to do with me. I mean, I always suspected they didn't love me but it's one thing to think something, but it's quite another to know it. 
Rafe sighs and hugs her. 
Rafe: I'm so sorry angel 
Alison: I am so glad I have you 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: And you always will. I love you Alison you mean everything to me. 
Alison: I love you to Rafe. 
She sighs 
Alison: Well, I guess we can forget the big wedding there is no way we can afford it we'll just have to go downtown and elope. 
Rafe smiles and strokes her face. 
Rafe: As long as I'm marrying you It doesn't matter. 
Alison nods 
Lucy: But you both deserve so much more. 
Alison sighs 
Alison: Well, what we deserve and what we can have are two different things I guess. 
Rafe hugs her to him tightly 
Rafe: It's all going to be okay. 
Just then an idea pops into Lucy's head. 
Lucy: Uh listen you two I'm going to get going. Alison I'm so sorry you had to go through that. You didn't deserve that at all. Rafe I'll talk to you later okay 
Rafe nods 
Alison: Thanks Lucy 
Rafe: Yeah thanks for everything. 
Lucy nods 
Lucy: Anytime 
She grabs her coat and runs out the door. Once outside she gets out her cell phone. 
Lucy: You're absolutely right Rafe. Everything is going to be is okay, and I know just how to make sure of it. 
She smiles and begins making phone calls. 

At the bike shop Jamal and Jack are getting ready to close up for the evening. 
Jamal: So how did everything go back at Lucy's place? 
Jack is a tad uncomfortable with the subject 
Jack: Oh, uh fine. 
Jamal: Rafe's okay? 
Jack: Yeah, Kevin said it wasn't anything serious. He talked to him and everything seems fine now. So how are things with you and Val? 
Jamal smiles and shakes his head 
Jamal: Listen man you don't have to dance around the subject of Rafe and Alison. Alison and I drifted apart Rafe is her man now, and that's cool. They love each other very much, and that's how it should be. I want Alison happy and Rafe makes her happy. 
Jack smiles 
Jack: You sure are understanding. I don't know if I could be that understanding. 
Jamal: If you weren't in love with Livvie anymore and she had the chance to be with someone that was truly in love with her you would be I don't doubt it. 
Jack nods 
Jack: Yeah, I guess. 
Jamal: So everything is okay over there then? 
Jack nods 
Jack: Yeah, Rafe woke up as good as new, and talked to Kevin. Everything seemed to be just fine. Then half the town showed up to thank Rafe for all he's done and bring him gifts. 
Jamal nods 
Jamal: That's good. 
Jack: So you're not upset that I helped him at the recovery room? 
Jamal: Of course not the guy needed help. And you are also Alison's friend so you did exactly what you should've done. 
Jack: I guess. So what's going to happen to this place now? I mean, Alison owns part of it. Is she going to give her part to you. 
Jamal shrugs 
Jamal: I don't know why she should. We're still friends Jack we parted on very good terms. This place is part hers, and I'd like to think we can still be partners in this business. 
Jack: Yeah, that would be cool. I have to say I'm impressed, I haven't known many couples that can end a relationship and still be close. 
Jamal sighs 
Jamal: Yeah, well I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that neither of us were in love anymore. We had drifted very far apart. Also, we both had people who we could turn to. Alison had Rafe who wanted desperately to make her his own, and I got Valerie, and Hope who want me to be part of their family. 
Jack: Yeah, so how is that going? 
Jamal shrugs 
Jamal: Okay I guess. I mean, I adore Hope she is just the greatest. And Valerie, well we're trying to make it work. I mean, I did love her once so I don't see why I couldn't again, and it really would be good for Hope if Valerie and I could work it out. 
Jack: Good luck 
Jamal: Thanks 
Just then Jack's cell phone rings. 
Jack: Hello? 
Livvie: Jack it's me listen, Lucy just called she wants us to meet her at the recovery room right away. I don't know why exactly she just said that it was very very important and had something to do with Rafe and Alison. 
Jack: Okay, I'll meet you there. 
Livvie: Okay bye 
Jack: Bye 
They hang up 
Jamal: Everything okay? 
Jack: Yeah, uh that was Livvie, Lucy wants us to meet her over at the recovery room, right away. She said it's really important. 
Jamal nods 
Jamal: Okay then, I'll see you tomorrow 
Jack: Okay see you man, have a good one 
Jamal: You to 
Jack leaves. 

Rafe and Alison are curled up on the couch snuggling dinner for now forgotten. Rafe gently strokes Alison's face 
Rafe: How is your face? 
Alison: It will be okay. 
Rafe: You know even with a bruised up face you are still the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on my angel. 
Alison smiles and strokes Rafe's face. 
Alison: Thank you. 
Rafe: For what? 
Alison: For being my prince charming. When I was young I used to dream about a prince coming along and whisking me away. He'd give me the love I'd never had, and make me feel important, needed, and wanted. Whenever my parents let me down, or I was feeling lonely or blue I'd just close my eyes and picture my prince coming to rescue me. When I got older I gave up on that dream. But, but now I see that, that dream is a reality. When I left my parents tonight I felt so alone, so empty so unloved. Then when I walked through that door and you held me in your arms 
She shakes her head 
Alison: I felt more love then I've ever felt before. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me Rafe. 
Rafe: Well, the feeling is mutual. You're without a doubt the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. You are a miracle to me Alison, a true and real miracle. And I hope I make you feel as wonderful as you make me feel. I'm only sorry it took us so long to find each other. 
Alison: But we have, and that's what counts. You know? My parents have taken enough from me and hurt me more then enough. I am not going to let them hurt me anymore, and I'm certainly not going to let them take my happiness from me. We are engaged to be married, this is the happiest time in our lives. Now, we may not get the wedding we dreamed of but we are getting married. And I for one intend to celebrate it. 
Rafe smiles 
Rafe: I couldn't agree more. So you think you're up for some dinner? 
Alison: Yes, actually I am pretty hungry. 
Rafe: Then come with me future Mrs. Coevich 
Rafe stands and holds his hand out. Alison smiles stands and takes his hand 
Alison: Right behind you Mr. Coevich. 
They kiss tenderly and go to have dinner. Ed watches from above 
Ed: Don't give up on that dream wedding just yet kids, there are some wannabe gardein angels out there, and they don't intend to let you down. 
Ed smiles as he looks at another part of Port Charles. 

At the recovery room, Frank, Karen, Ian, Eve, Mary, Victor, Livvie, Jack, Kevin, Serena, and Christina have all gathered after recieving Lucy's urgent message. 
Karen: So does anyone know what this is all about? 
Livvie: All Lucy would tell me is that it has to do with Alison and Rafe and is important. 
Mary: Oh I hope nothing has happend to Rafe. I know he was so unsettled by that dreaful flashback. 
Kevin: I don't think that's it. Rafe seemed just fine when I left. 
Eve: I hope Lucy gets here soon I need to get back to work. 
Just then Lucy comes racing in 
Lucy: Oh good, you're all here. 
Jack: We all came as soon as you called 
Ian: What's all this about? 
Kevin: Is Rafe all right? 
Lucy: Oh yes, Rafe is fine. Well, sort of I mean, what happened was pretty lousy. Well, it was actually more about what happened to Alison but 
Livvie: Is Alison okay. 
Kevin: Lucy start from the beginning 
Lucy takes a deep breath. 
Lucy: I was helping Rafe make Alison a special dinner tonight when Alison came home. She had gone to see her parents and tell them the great news about her and Rafe getting engaged this after noon 
Mary: Oh they are getting married! Oh how splendid. 
Lucy: Yeah, well it would have been but Alison's parents aren't exactly the nicest of people. To make a long story short they told Alison they don't love her and never have, they threw her out of the family, hit her and threw her out of the house. 
Livvie: They hit her! 
Jack: What kind of people are they! 
Lucy: I, I don't know. But Alison was naturally devastated. 
Mary: Oh the poor girl. 
Kevin: Should I go see her? 
Lucy: No, no I think Rafe has everything under control. She was already doing better when I left. The thing is that they have no money. So instead of a big wedding they are planning to just go down town and get married in a judges office. Which if you ask me is just wrong. 
Mary: That's such a travesty. A wedding should be a celebration not a court date. 
Karen: After everything they've done for us they deserve the biggest wedding of them all. 
Lucy smiles 
Lucy: Well, I'm glad you said that. Because I have an idea. 
Everyone looks at each other 
Kevin: Lucy you're not thinking 
Lucy nods 
Lucy: Oh you better believe that's what I'm thinking. 
Victor: Of course! What a splendid idea! If we all work together we can through them a wedding fit for royalty! 
Mary: Oh that sounds fabulous! 
Karen: I think it's a great idea. 
Frank: I'm in what ever I can do let me know. 
Ian: After everything they've done it's the least we can do. 
Eve: You can count me in 
Jack: Hey anything to help out a friend 
Livvie nods 
Livvie: Absolutely 
Kevin: Lucy I think that's a great idea. 
Serena: This is so cool! 
Lucy smiles 
Lucy: I think it's pretty cool. 
Frank rases a drink 
Frank: To Rafe and Alison may we give them the wedding of their dreams 
Everyone together: To Rafe and Alison 
They clink their glasses. Ed watches from above smiling. 

Rafe and Alison are eating their dinner and talking things over. 
Alison: So you know all about my dysfunctional family, tell me about yours. 
Rafe shrugs 
Rafe: Not much to tell 
Alison: Oh come on, there must be something. Are you an only child, what were your parents like? 
Rafe sighs and leans back 
Rafe: I had a brother . But he was killed when I was small. He was already a preteen when I was born. 
Alison: Did, did Caleb 
Rafe sighs 
Rafe: Yeah, he killed my brother. So growing up I always had that little voice inside me saying you have to avenge this. 
Alison nods 
Rafe: The truth is everyone in my family was dead by the time I was eight. 
Alison: Oh Rafe I'm sorry. I, I had no idea. That must have been so hard. 
Rafe: I think the hardest was my grandfathers death. See after my parents died he took care of us. He was the best. I don't really remember much about him. Just that he always made me feel loved and safe. I wish I could remember what he looked like, but I will always remember the love he showed me. 
Rafe has tears in his eyes. Alison reaches across table and takes his hand in hers 
Alison: I'm sorry I shouldn't have brought it up. I didn't mean to upset you. 
Rafe: No, no that's okay. It's hard to talk about them but it's good to. I kept thinking when I was in heaven I'd run into my grandpa you know. I ran into everyone else just not him. Or if I did he didn't let me know. 
Alison: Well, well maybe in the future. 
Rafe shrugs 
Rafe: Maybe 
Rafe picks up his glass. 
Rafe: To the future 
Alison: To the future. 
They clink glasses and smile at each other lovingly. Ed watches them from above. 
Ed: Your grandpa was always close kid, always.
