After destroying the latest planet on his wrath, Emperor Gruumm heads to Earth in search of Anubis Doggy Cruger--leader in command of Space Patrol Delta.
"For the 1% who can't, there is Space Patrol Delta. The newest breed of police to take them in."
Sky Tate, Bridge Carson, and Sydney Drew are the three cadets who make up the B-Squad. They are above the C-Squad, D-Squad, etc. Above the B-Squad cadets are the A-Squad Power Rangers. Sky dreams of being the Red Ranger, just like his father. In fact, all of B-Squad dream of becoming Power Rangers, as they've been training for two years in the academy in simulated fights with Katherine Manx and her assistant, Boom.
Gruumm prepares to enter our galaxy. Anubis is noted. The A-Squad is sent out to fight, while the B-Squad is sent to stop two little thieves...
Jack Landers and Elizabeth "Z" Delgado are two street thieves who steal from the rich and give to the poor. They encounter the B-Squad, but escape, and later give the stolen goods to some homless people and aliens. Jack enjoys the work, but Z, however, is tired of "playing Robinhood", and wants to move on to "bigger" things.
Gruumm sends Bluehead to get the proton excellerator which will allow him to enter. When hearing this, the B-Squad cadets are given SPD morphers to transform into Power Rangers. They encounter the two thieves again and fight. Just when Bluehead and Krybots show up, the two escape, leaving the cadets surrounded by an overwhelming amount of Krybots.
