The "Simple" Stakeout

         On a satellite prison in KO-35, evil villain Sinuku escapes from his prison with the help of Gruumm’s Krybots. Back on Earth, the rangers find out its Syd’s birthday, and she’s dressed up for a big celebration her parents are throwing her. However, the rangers find out about Sinuku’s escape. It turns out that he is coming to Earth because he was once a scientist who used to build weapons with his assistant, Dr. Rheas. They believe he may go to get in contact with her. Jack chooses Syd to stakeout near Rheas’ house because she has the most surveillance training, even though it is the day of her birthday. Syd, obviously, is not happy.

        At their hideout, Syd continues to complain, and they begin to monitor Rheas’ house. During their surveillance, Piggy crashes the place and hangs out with them. Meanwhile at the nearby ocean, the other three rangers hide behind a formation of rocks to see Sinuku heading into a cave. Cruger told them that he would be heading in that direction, but why, they don’t know. Inside the cave, he blasts open a wall to reveal a set of demagnatrons—capable of neutralizing any robot. He takes them out of the cave and is bombarded by the three rangers. He calls on Krybots, and a battle ensues. It ends with his escape.

        Back at the stakeout, Rheas leaves her apartment, and Piggy crashes the place and hangs out. Jack heads out for a walk at the park, and sees a group of people celebrating a birthday. He also sees Rheas, and her purse is stolen by a mysterious creature! He chases after him and gets the purse back—the creature was a Krybot. He gives the purse back to her, and the two share a conversation about birthdays, and she tells him how special they are. He heads back to the stakeout and apologizes, and also reveals that he doesn’t know why birthdays are special because he doesn’t know when he was born, and never celebrated a birthday.

         Sinuku begins to attack the city in his robot given by Broodwing. The five rangers regroup and form the megazord. During the battle, he escapes. Back at Rheas’ apartment, Sinuku attacks, and orders her to take him to the activator to the demagnatrons. In order to save her life, she agrees, and brings him to the site where he takes the activator. When he takes it, Jack enters the area and morphs to save her (after given a tip by Piggy, who was still monitoring the apartment). He takes Sinuku on by himself, and ends up winning the battle. The other four rangers arrive and battle. Sinuku calls on his zord. The rangers call on their own zords to form the Delta Squad Megazord. During the fight, the zord is destroyed, and Sinuku is judged as guilty and placed in a card via R.I.C.

        Later that day, the rangers throw Syd a surprise party in the park. Jack hands Syd a cupcake he made her, and she tells him that she wants him to always celebrate his birthday with her…they’ll share them on the same day.
