“Xander, I’m scared,” Willow admitted in a small voice.
Alexander LaVelle Harris felt a rush of protectiveness surge through his body
and he quickly enveloped the small girl in his arms. “Wills, it’s
okay,” he assured her. “You’ll make it through this. You’re
strong.”
“But this is the first time I’ve ever done this,” Willow reminded him
quietly, fear still lacing her voice.
“Wills, don’t you think I know that?” Xander laughed. “I’ve
known you for eighteen years. Of course I know you’ve never done this
before.”
“Don’t laugh, Xander,” she scolded. “My fear is real.”
“I know it is, sweetheart,” he said, becoming serious. He stroked her
hand. “Are you sure you want to do this? You can always say no if
you’re not comfortable with the idea.”
Willow shook her head firmly. “Xander, I love you. I want to make
you happy. I know this will make you happy. So, yes, I want to do
this.”
“God, Willow, don’t do this just because of me,” Xander objected.
“I want you to go into this with your eyes open, and wanting to do it for you,
not for me.”
Willow thought for a second. “Yeah, Xander, I want to do this,” she
replied with conviction. “I mean, it’ll make you happy, but I want to
do this for me, too.”
Xander smiled and wrapped his arms around his girlfriend’s waist. He
couldn’t believe how much he loved her. And it awed him that she loved
him back. He kissed her slowly, trying to alleviate some of her fears.
She opened herself up to the kiss and ran her hands over his back. He
reciprocated by putting his hands on her hips and kneading them slowly.
“I’m so lucky to have you, Will,” he whispered reverently into her hair.
“And I’m lucky that you finally opened your eyes,” she teased lovingly.
He shook his head.
“Woman, you are never going to let me forget that, are you?” he questioned.
She shook her head back.
“Nope,” she denied. She grinned. “What else am I going to be
able to hold over your head for the rest of our lives?”
“The rest of our lives,” Xander repeated. He looked stunned.
“I can’t even think of that. Right now I’m just amazed that you’re
with me now.”
“Me too,” Willow shot back with a smile. Xander swatted at her.
“So, should we get ready?” he asked seriously. The wariness returned
to her eyes.
“Yeah, I guess,” she agreed reluctantly. Xander slowly took his hands
from her hips and held her hands tightly. “Shouldn’t you go get the
stuff?” Xander nodded and stepped away from her, then hurried back.
Willow looked at what he had in his hands and swallowed. “It looks so
innocent, until you go to use it,” she uttered softly.
Xander looked at her, concerned. “Willow, please don’t let me push you
into doing something you’re not ready to do,” he urged. Willow shook
her head.
“Xander, I *want* to do this,” she reassured him. He nodded and
unwrapped the package he held in his hands. Slowly, he wrapped Willow’s
fingers around the long shaft. They both hissed as her hands came in
contact with the slender length. “Xander, it’s so hard and smooth,”
Willow said in wonder. Xander smiled at her admission. He then took
her other hand and closed them around his balls. She fondled them for a
second, getting used to the feel of them. “Xander, they feel so good in
my hands,” Willow whispered. She looked at him. “I’m so ready
to do this.”
“I’m glad,” Xander replied, leaning over to kiss her. They broke
apart when the announcer’s voice came over the loudspeaker.
“Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to Sunnydale’s first annual Mini-Golf
tournament! Do we have a treat in store for you today! Fifteen pairs
of talented mini-golfers will wind their way around this eighteen-hole course in
an attempt to win a pair of tickets to the concert of their choice!

Willow turned to Xander and took a deep breath. “I guess we need to get
out there, huh?” she asked nervously.
“Come on, Wills, it’s no big deal,” Xander assured her as they walked
towards the course. “I’m the master mini-golfer. Of course
we’re going to win!”
