Roy DiLucca's Bio
Roy DiLucca
A Martinez
The year was 1979. Bobbie was in love with Roy DiLucca. Roy and Luke were best friends and partners at the Campus Disco, but mob violence was about to rear its ugly head yet again!
Bobbie and Roy became engaged to be married in 1979. Bobbie was truly happy and was also proud of the fact that she had become a nurse at General Hospital and had turned her life around from the days when she was a prostitute. Bobbie's happiness was short-lived, however, when a former john exposed Bobbie's past as a hooker. Embarrassed and ashamed, Bobbie broke her engagement to Roy and gave him back his ring.
Roy and Luke did their best to try and keep the Campus Disco a legitimate business, but their hopes were dashed when mob boss Frank Smith began to take a very keen interest in their establishment. At this same time, Luke was becoming infatuated with Laura, who was married to Scotty. Luke gave Laura a job at the Disco and soon found himself hopelessly in love with her.
Events came to a boiling point when Frank Smith ordered Luke to murder Mitch Williams on election night. Mitch, who was married to Tracy Quartermaine, was running for the senate and was also a pawn for the mob. Luke knew that this was a suicide mission as there was no way that he could leave the scene of the crime alive. Luke also knew that he would be killed by the mob if he didn't follow Frank's orders. Luke was a desperate man who saw the end of his life fast approaching. Driven by desperation, Luke forced himself on Laura inside the empty Disco one night. Luke was horrified by what he had done, but Laura didn't report him as her attacker.
Roy soon became the prime suspect in Laura's rape and turned to Bobbie for help. Bobbie agreed to give Roy an alibi and knowing he was innocent, Laura also went to the police and cleared Roy's name. Still in love with each other, Bobbie and Roy became engaged once again.
With election night fast approaching, Mitch got wind of the assassination plot and thought Roy was going to be the hitman. Mitch warned Luke that Roy would be a dead man if he tried anything, but Laura overheard the conversation and realized that Luke and Roy were in danger.
Election night arrived and Laura took a strong stand with Luke. Scotty had asked Luke to drive Laura home and Luke agreed. Laura, however, grabbed Luke's car keys and threw them out the window. Laura thought she had saved Luke's life, but Luke said he was a dead man.
Luke quickly phoned Roy and asked him to come and pick him up so that he could follow Frank's orders and kill Mitch. Roy then took matters into his own hands and decided to do the job himself. Bobbie begged Roy not to go, but Roy headed to Mitch's victory celebration anyway. As Mitch descended in a glass elevator, Roy fired his gun but the shot barely wounded Mitch. Roy, however, had been shot by the security guard. Roy stumbled his way to the front of the hotel and then died in Bobbie's arms. Bobbie was devastated, but she and Luke were able to flee the crime scene undetected and that was the last anyone saw of Roy DiLucca.
In 1999, Roy was released from prison and started making his way to Port Charles. As it turned out, Roy hadn't been killed in the botched assassination attempt of Mitch Williams. Roy had survived his injuries and had made a deal with the FBI -- became an undercover informant in exchange for his eventual freedom. When Roy returned to Port Charles, he was actually on assignment from the FBI.
Bobbie was shocked when she came face to face with Roy and soon became angry that he had let her think he had been dead for the last twenty years. Bobbie was still attracted to Roy, but she was determined to make her future with Jerry and marry him as planned.
Roy ended up giving the authorities evidence that Jerry Jax was laundering money for the mob. As Bobbie walked down the aisle to marry Jerry, federal agents burst into the brownstone and arrested him. Roy felt guilty for his role in Jerry's arrest, but didn't tell Bobbie or Luke that he had given the FBI the information to use against Jerry. A few months later, it was revealed that Roy was Hannah's father and Hannah realized that he had been sent to Port Charles to protect her. Hannah, however, didn't know the truth about Roy being an ex-con who was forced to do the FBI's bidding.
Bobbie and Roy continued to inch closer, but Bobbie feared that Roy would return to a life of crime. Roy accepted a job from Sonny and was subsequently arrested at the airport. Roy was furious when Sonny arrived and announced that Roy had passed his "test." Roy walked away from Sonny, but ended up coming back in order to complete his assignment.
Roy confessed to Bobbie that he was Hannah's father. Roy, however, still didn't tell Bobbie that he was an FBI informant assigned to bring Sonny down. Roy and Bobbie grew closer and shared a passionate kiss on Valentine's Day.
While trying to eavesdrop on Roy's meeting with Sorel, Bobbie was kidnapped. Roy and Sonny then teamed up to rescue Bobbie from Sorel, who demanded that Sonny move drugs for him in exchange for Bobbie's freedom. Sonny had no intention of dealing in drugs and he and Roy were able to beat Sorel at his own game. Roy rescued Bobbie and Sonny's position in the organization remained solid.
With the danger behind them, Bobbie told Roy that she loved him. Roy then stunned Bobbie by telling her the entire truth about himself and confessed that he was an unwilling informant for the FBI. Roy also admitted that he was reason why Jerry had been arrested. Bobbie was furious at Roy and threw him out.
