George Clooney portrayed pediatrician Dr. Doug Ross for nearly five seasons on ER. He was nominated for an Emmy twice for his role as the compassionate yet rebellious doctor. It was this mixture of his compassion and rebellion that lead to Dr. Ross's resignation from the ER. Dr. Ross was reunited with his love, nurse Hathaway, and their twin daughters a year later. Since leaving the ER, Clooney has gone onto success on the big screen with movies such as Batman & Robin and The Perfect Storm.

Facts About George ClooneyBirthplace:Lexington, Kentucky Occupations:Actor, Writer, Producer Quote:"Probably the one thing I'm most proud of in my life is how hard I've worked at keeping everybody around. It can get tricky. Because when you start to get famous, people start to surround you and tell you how great you are; you get this whole crew of friends you don't know, and they're suddenly your best friends. But you have to keep the other people close, and that's work. So we talk to each other at some point every day. It's not like some sick, fucked up thing. It's just like 'Hey, man, what's up?' It can be fucked up if that's your obsession. But it's just friendship--the boys. What it is, is the greatest support group ever. That's what it's about when it all comes crashing down," --GQ, October 1997 Claim to Fame: Played Dr. Doug Ross on the NBC medical drama series ER (1994-99) Factoids: Once wanted to be a professional baseball player. Education: Attended Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights, Kentucky, Studied acting with Milton Katselas Agency: William Morris Agency
